Male Y/N
A week had passed since their pasta and fun night, and Y/N still couldn't shake the feeling of warmth and closeness he felt with Linda. He found himself thinking about her constantly, reliving their conversations and the way her eyes sparkled when she talked about her adventures as Supergirl. It was clear to him now that he had always been in love with her, whether she was the girl next door or the hero who saved the world.
But today was different. Today, Linda had invited him to her apartment in the city. She had been cryptic about her plans, only saying that she had a special evening planned for the two of them. Y/N's heart raced with anticipation as he stood outside her door, bouquet of flowers in hand.
He knocked, and a moment later, Linda opened the door. She looked stunning in a simple yet elegant dress that highlighted her natural beauty. Her hair was loosely curled, and her smile was radiant as she greeted him.
"Hey, Y/N," she said, her voice warm and inviting.
"Hey, Linda," Y/N replied, handing her the flowers. "These are for you."
Linda's eyes lit up as she took the bouquet. "Thank you, Y/N. They're beautiful. Come on in."
Y/N followed her inside, taking in the cosy ambience of her apartment. Soft music played in the background, and the table was set with candles and a bottle of wine.
"You went all out," Y/N remarked, feeling a surge of affection for her.
Linda smiled, a hint of shyness in her eyes. "I wanted tonight to be special. For both of us."
Y/N felt his heart swell at her words. "It's already special, Linda. Just being here with you is more than enough."
They shared a smile before Linda led him to the table. As they sat down, Linda poured them each a glass of wine. They toasted to new beginnings, and the conversation flowed easily, much like it had during their pasta night.
"So, what's on the menu tonight?" Y/N asked, trying to keep the mood light despite the growing tension in the air.
Linda grinned. "I thought we'd try something different. How about a three-course meal? We start with a Caesar salad, then move on to chicken parmesan with roasted vegetables, and finish with homemade tiramisu."
Y/N's eyes widened in delight. "That sounds amazing. You really outdid yourself."
Linda blushed, a pleased smile on her lips. "I'm glad you think so. Let's get started, shall we?"
They moved to the kitchen, working side by side to prepare the meal. As they chopped vegetables and mixed ingredients, the atmosphere grew more intimate. Their hands brushed occasionally, sending sparks of electricity through Y/N's body. He couldn't help but steal glances at Linda, marvelling at how effortlessly beautiful she was.
"Y/N," Linda said softly, breaking the comfortable silence between them.
"Yeah?" Y/N replied, looking up from the cutting board.
"I've been thinking a lot about us," Linda said, her eyes meeting his with a vulnerability that made his heart ache. "About how much you mean to me."
Y/N's breath caught in his throat. "Linda, you mean the world to me too. You always have."
Linda took a deep breath, her eyes never leaving his. "I know things have changed since you found out about me being Supergirl. But I want you to know that no matter what, you're important to me. More than you'll ever know."
Y/N felt a lump form in his throat. He reached out, taking her hand in his. "Linda, I don't care that you're Supergirl. I love you for who you are, not for what you can do."
Linda's eyes filled with tears, and she squeezed his hand. "I love you too, Y/N. I've always loved you."
The words hung in the air, a declaration that felt both momentous and inevitable. Without thinking, Y/N closed the distance between them, capturing her lips in a tender kiss. It was soft at first, a gentle exploration, but quickly deepened as their pent-up emotions spilled over.
When they finally pulled apart, they were both breathless, their foreheads resting against each other.
"I think we can really make this work," Y/N confessed, his voice barely above a whisper.
Linda smiled, her eyes shining with happiness. "Me too."
They finished preparing the meal, their hands never straying far from each other. The intimacy between them had shifted, deepening into something more profound and undeniably romantic.
As they sat down to eat, the conversation took on a more personal tone. They shared stories from their past, dreams for the future, and everything in between. It felt as though they were rediscovering each other, forging a connection that was stronger than ever.
After dinner, they moved to the living room, where Linda had set up a cozy seating area with blankets and pillows. They snuggled up together, sharing the homemade tiramisu and feeding each other bites of the delicious dessert.
"You know," Y/N said, his voice playful, "I think this is the best tiramisu I've ever had."
Linda laughed, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "That's because you helped make it."
Y/N grinned, feeling a surge of happiness at her words. "Well, in that case, we make a pretty good team."
Linda's expression softened, and she leaned in to kiss him gently. "We do, don't we?"
They spent the rest of the evening wrapped up in each other's arms, talking and laughing until the early hours of the morning. As the night drew to a close, they found themselves standing by the window, looking out at the city lights.
"Linda," Y/N said softly, his arms wrapped around her waist, "I meant what I said earlier. I love you, and I don't care what challenges we might face. I want to be with you, always."
Linda turned in his arms, her eyes filled with emotion. "I love you too, Y/N. And I want to be with you, no matter what."
They shared a tender kiss, sealing their promises to each other. And as they stood there, bathed in the soft glow of the city lights, they knew that this was just the beginning of their journey together. A journey filled with love, adventure, and the promise of a future they would build hand in hand.
The following weeks were a whirlwind of stolen moments and whispered confessions. Linda and Y/N found themselves navigating the complexities of their relationship with a sense of joy and excitement. They balanced their time between Linda's superhero duties and their growing romance, finding solace in each other's company.
One evening, as they sat on the porch of Y/N's farmhouse, watching the sunset, Linda turned to him with a thoughtful expression.
"Y/N, can I ask you something?" she said, her voice soft.
"Anything," Y/N replied, his heart skipping a beat at the seriousness in her tone.
Linda took a deep breath, her eyes meeting his. "Do you ever worry about what it means to be with me? About the dangers, the responsibilities?"
Y/N considered her question carefully, his fingers entwined with hers. "Linda, I've thought about it a lot. And yes, there are moments when I worry. But I know that being with you is worth any risk. I love you, and I believe in what we have."
Linda's eyes softened, and she squeezed his hand. "Thank you, Y/N. That means more to me than you'll ever know."
They sat in comfortable silence for a while, the only sound the gentle rustling of the leaves in the breeze. Finally, Y/N broke the silence, his voice filled with determination.
"Linda, I want you to know that I'll always be here for you. No matter what happens, we'll face it together."
Linda's eyes glistened with unshed tears, and she leaned in to kiss him softly. "I love you, Y/N. More than words can express."
Y/N nodded and smiled. "I love you too, Supergirl..."
