3rd person's pov:
"Don't you touch me, you didn't
give a single shit about me the last few days so now don't act like you care."
Liam's face fell at Zayn's harsh tone but he tried to seem unbothered in which he definitely didn't succeed.
"Alright, then I'm gonna get Harry, yeah? I won't let you walk home alone."
Liam sighed and made his way back into the school.
The moment Liam disappeared around the corner, Zayn sank to the floor with his back pressed against the wall.
He felt like crying once again but didn't let it happen and just waited for Harry and Liam to come back.
Finally, after seemingly a whole eternity they came back and Harry helped Zayn to stand up before waking towards his car.
Liam stayed on the stairs of the entrance of the school and looked like a lost puppy.
Zayn would've smiled at him because he looked so adorable but since it was Liam he didn't.
The drive home the two boys remained quiet.
Zayn was fighting against his closing eyes and the sudden tiredness.
Eventually they arrived at Zayn's house and Harry slightly shook him since he had his eyes close.
Zayn flinched for a second but then smiled at Harry gratefully.
"Thank you so much for bringing me and thanks for everything, H."
Harry smiled back and embraced the smaller boy in a hug before letting him leave the car.
He watched until Zayn had disappeared in the house and then drove back to the school to now really pick up his boyfriend.
And Zayn went up to his room, plumped down on his bed and immediately fell asleep.
After he had woken up, he put on music.
His family was out of town for the rest of the week so he could play the music as loud as he wanted.
Due to the loud music, he almost didn't hear the doorbell ring. But as it was ringing endlessly he noticed it and made his way downstairs.
He looked through the small spyhole in the door and his heart skipped a beat as he saw who was standing there.
It was Liam.
After taking a big breath Zayn decided to open the door since Liam would be ringing the whole night if he wouldn't open, he knew that.
"What do you want, Liam?"
Zayn didn't seem very amused about Liam's presence and also Liam appeared rather nervous.
"Listen Zayn. I'm sorry for what has happened and I know that I'm apologizing to you for the hundredth time but I mean it. I know that I am a complete idiot and I wouldn't want myself as a friend anymore either. But I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to ingore you or do anything that would make you have a panic attack, god no I would never..."
Zayn interrupted Liam, still having an unimpressed expression on his face and arms crossed in front of his chest. He was leaning in the doorframe looking like wanted to go invisible right there.
"Then why did you do it?"
"Look, maybe you won't understand but after that 'incident' between us at the cliffs I felt so embarrassed. I mean, you just said it back because you didn't want me to feel bad but I just said that in a rush and I shouldn't have...I wasn't even ready because I knew you don't feel the same way but..."
Zayn interrupted Liam once again, now squinting his eyes and having a questioning look on his face.
"Shut up already, of course I meant it you idiot." He tried to hide that small smile but eventually he couldn't really hide it.
"Will you forgive me? One last chance maybe?"
With that, Liam fetched a bouquet of flowers from behind his back.
Flowers from all different kinds. Daisies, tulips, roses, marguerites, violets, buttercups and so many more.
Liam had driven to the flower field to get flowers for Zayn, hoping he would take them.
And so Liam looked at Zayn again with his puppy eyes.
"Please?"
"God Liam, why do you have to be so fucking adorable?!"
Zayn smiled at him and walked towards him.
Liam opened his arms and embraced the smaller boy in a bear hug.
They remained hugging for a long time and time seemed like it had stopped once again.
And even if Liam's presence made Zayn calm and he smiled into Liam's chest he still asked himself over and over again:
Could he trust Liam once again?
