Ben and Mick rushed down the stairs with Prof Oak bringing up the rear. They quickly determined that the blast didn't come from the first floor as everything looked in order and there was no visible damage anywhere. As they came upon the ground floor, however, they were met with smoke filling the hallway, that seemed to spread from the end of the corridor. Ben could suddenly hear a machine being turned on.

"What's that noise? It sounds like a vacuum or something." Mick guessed.

"It's coming from over there" pointed Ben as he noticed the initial smoke was subsiding somewhat somehow.

"Let's check it out." said Ben as they ran down the corridor, ahead of Prof Oak.

Ben kept his cool, but was wondering what on Earth was going on

It soon became clear that the smoke was issuing from the Pokémon Storage room and the noise of the 'vacuum' was sounding louder, in fact as they neared the room the sound began to sound deafening and somehow the haze was clearing fast.

I have a bad feeling about this... thought Ben beginning to grow somewhat concerned.

He and Mick entered the room first and immediately felt a particular powerful wind blowing through the room which made Ben's eyes water, as he held up an arm to shield himself partially but it was little use, it was as if a massive air current was filling the room and as Ben lifted his gaze he could make out that one side of the wall was smashed and through the large hole a gigantic hose was sticking out through it. Ben could only watch as the room had already been sucked clear of nearly every Poké Ball within the room and the last few were been rounded up.

"Thieves!" Ben yelled inaudibly, the vacuum drowning out his words.

He couldn't believe it.

Thieves here in Pallet Town? How was this possible? Ben wondered.

Pallet Town had always been a peaceful town with hardly any criminal activity to speak. Yet here they were, trying to make off with the precious Pokémon caught by all the trainers who started out their journey in this town.

But then again he thought. I shouldn't be surprised, this lab is kind of a large target for burglars.

Though he was faced with danger Ben remained surprisingly calm. He had never been in a situation like this before, yet he wasn't worried.

Well... He wasn't worried for himself, but he was worried about the Pokémon being stolen. He gazed sideways at Mick who was also shielding his face from the blasting wind, but Ben could determine he seemed to have a rather angry expression on his face from the way he frowned his eyebrows.

Suddenly the machine sounded like it had been turned off as the deafening rumble from the vacuum began to diminish along with the air stream being lifted. The hose was retracted as it retreated out of the hole and went up outside.

Without giving it a second thought, both Ben and Mick sprinted through the hole and looked upwards into the sky to see a big, black, hot air balloon with a red letter 'R' plastered over the center. From below the basket they saw the massive vacuum along with a glass container where the Poké Balls were kept.

"It's them!" Mick yelled furiously. "It's Team Rocket!"

"That's them?!" Ben asked in surprise "Team Rocket?!" Ben once again felt anger rising from within him at the mention of their organisation, but tried to suppress it.

"Who are you?!" they heard Prof Oak shouting behind them. "What are you planning to do with those Pokémon?" as he came to stand next to the childhood friends.

They heard maniacal laughter from above them as Ben focused in on the two silhouettes sitting in the basket of the balloon, they were both wearing black outfits with the same red R blazoned on their shirts, they sounded like they were around the same age as Ben and Mick, with one been a boy and the other a girl, but it was hard to make out any face features from their height.

"Well if it isn't the famous Prof Oak." said the boy in a mocking tone.

"And two wannabe trainers..." the girl sneered.

"I am Damon." the boy introduced himself.

"And I am Maggie." introduced the girl in turn.

"We are Team Rocket!" declared Damon. "And we thought it would be nice to steal Pokémon from Prof Oak's lab as our first operation as official Team Rocket members!"

"You fiends!" Ben yelled, no longer been able to keep his anger in check and raising his fist at them. "Those Pokémon were carefully raised by the trainers from Pallet Town! Give them back!"

They were once again met with sinister laughter from the Rocket duo.

"It's not our fault those Pokémon were just waiting for the picking." said Maggie teasingly. "Should've better protected them!"

"Now it's time for us to take our leave." Damon announced

"We thank you for giving us these rare and valuable Pokémon." said Maggie making fun of them. "Bye bye now!"

The balloon started drifting away slowly.

"Hey! Get back here!" Mick yelled.

Ben and Mick started giving chase through, trying their best to keep up with the floating balloon which was inching further and further away from them. As Ben looked upon the glass container with the Poké Balls, he could also make out a small, brown figure nestled within them that looked quite familiar.

"Oh no! They got Eevee!" Ben directed attention to.

"We'll get him somehow bro, along with the other Pokémon" Mick responded determined.

They ran through the Oak Coral, an area behind Prof Oak's lab that housed several Pokémon, divided up in areas according to type. And so they ran down grassy fields, past ponds and lakes and rocky areas, all filled with several Pokémon, though they barely looked at them. Eventually they approached a forest, all the while the balloon started floating further away from them as Ben and Mick were beginning to grow tired.

Ben knew if they couldn't somehow bring the balloon down before they reached the forest they'd get away, as they would have trouble seeing the balloon between the dense canopy of branches

"Ben" Mick glanced sideways at his best friend. "How are we... gonna get those Pokémon back?" he said as he panted.

Ben turned his head towards Mick.

"I don't know." as he looked forward again gazing upon the balloon that was getting smaller as they run further along. "I hate to say it but... neither Bulbasaur's... or Charmander's... attacks... would be able... to reach that far." Ben puffed between words.

Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a large bird Pokémon approached the balloon at significant speed and flew right through the fabric coming up at the other end, tearing two large holes at both ends deflated the balloon almost immediately as it began crashing down towards the woods, they could hear the screams of the Rocket duo as they prepared for impact.

"What was that?" Ben asked

"I don't know... but... they seemed to... have... crashed... If we hurry... we can catch em." Mick said between gasps of air.

They entered the woods and began to look around, but at first sight they couldn't find anything that resembled what they were looking for.

"There's no time!" Ben said "Split up!... They must not escape!..." Ben said, between gulps of air.

They nodded at each other and while Ben took the left while Mick ventured to the right.

While Ben searched between the foliage and thickets, as he walked through the woods, ducking between branches. He didn't even consider the possibilities of what could happen when he found the Rocket duo. All he thought about was saving the Pokémon. Especially Eevee.

I can't let them take Eevee again, he's clearly been through enough. Ben thought

Ben had searched for a couple of minutes when he suddenly saw what looked like the ruined balloon tangled up on a tree, and as he moved forward he saw the broken glass container of the Poké Balls on the ground, completely in pieces. There was no sign of the Rocket duo.

But where's Eevee? Ben thought as he looked around thoroughly, but it wasn't long before he heard a distant scream.

"Eievui!!!"

Ben immediately rushed over in the direction where the scream came from, fearing for Eevee's safety.

As he scrambled out of the foliage he saw the Rocket duo at one end who squared off against Eevee on the other end, who was shuddering violently against a tree, using it's bushy tail to cover it's face.

"Hey! Don't pick on Eevee!" Ben yelled at the Rocket Duo, as he rushed to step between them and Ben spread out his arms in a protective way to signal them he was blocking them.

"You'll have to go through to me first." Ben declared, staring the pair down, now that he was up close he could see their facial features.

The guy, Damon, had messy, scarlet hair with red eyes and looked about. The girl, Maggie, on the other hand was a tad shorter and had short purple-pinkish hair and yellow eyes, it seems they had a rough landing because their uniforms were torn here and there. They grinned upon seeing Ben.

"So, the boy has come to play with us." teased Maggie.

"You've got some nerve, messing with us!" Damon said in turn. "Listen I don't know what brought our balloon down, but we're not going out without at least taking something! That Eevee is a very rare and valuable Pokémon, even if it doesn't look the best right now. We're taking it with us, so this operation wasn't for nothing. Stand aside and we'll show you mercy."

"I can't let you do that." Ben said, growing nervous somewhat and beginning to sweat, he had been on been going on adrenaline for some time and was only now beginning to realise these two were potentially dangerous and could harm him, but he had to defend Eevee, because it was the right thing to do.

Ben turned his head somewhat to glance at Eevee at the corner of his eye.

"Eevee, you've got to run! Go on!"

But Eevee seemed to be too petrified to actually run, as it remained rooted to the spot, shuddering.

"Well, if you don't move aside" said Damon, directing his attention to Ben "Then we're just gonna have to make you move!" Damon said as he grabbed a Poké Ball from his belt.

Damn it, he's gonna use a Pokémon on me! Thought Ben as his eyes went wide and he gulped.

"Come forth Machop!" the red haired Rocket grunt said as he tossed a Poké Ball in the air, a Pokémon emerged with a flash to form a small humanoid, bipedal creature that had blue-gray skin. It had three brown ridges on top of it's head, large red eyes, and a relatively flat face. Although small it's body was muscular.

"Come join the fun, dear Zubat!" Maggie said as she in turn hurled a Poké Ball that opened and another Pokémon came into shape to form a blue bat-like creature. It seemed to lack eyes, it had pointed ears with purple insides as well as purple wing membranes and a mouth with two sharp tiny teeth on each jaw, from which Ben could deduce it was a female. The males had slightly longer teeth.

They're gonna attack me. I got to defend myself. Ben thought as he grabbed his own Poké Ball.

I'm sorry to do this to you, but we need to help a Pokémon in need.

"I choose you, Bulbasaur!" said Ben as he threw the Poké Ball in the air and Bulbasaur appeared in a flash, it looked a tad confused as it appeared, then the confusion slowly turned into fear as he faced off with the other two Pokémon.

Ben turned to look behind him quickly.

"Don't worry Eevee, everything will be alright, I promise!" Ben said, as Eevee looked from behind it's tail

"Eie...vui?" Eevee said as it looked at him still trembling, tho it wasn't as shivering as badly as before.

Ben looked forward again and breathed in and out, trying to settle down. He had to remain calm or he'd surely lose, however, Ben barely had the time to do so.

"Machop go in for a Karate Chop!" Damon commanded.

"Uh, Bulbasaur, quick, dodge!" Ben said quickly.

Machop ran forward and jumped, stretching out it's arm as it glowed white, Bulbasaur quickly jumped to the side, barely avoiding the Fighting type's attack.

"Bulbasaur use Vine Whip!" As Bulbasaur obeyed and two vines erupted from the sides of it's bulb to hit Machop, repeatedly as Machop tried to block it with his arm.

"Zubat stop it with Leech Life!" Maggie ordered as the bat-like Pokémon swooped in to land on Bulbasaur's bulb and bit it, as the Seed Pokémon yelped in pain and stopped it's barrage on Machop.

"Heh, now Machop use Karate Chop again!" Damon commanded.

"B-Bulbasaur shake it off and try to dodge!" Ben said, with a note of panic in his voice.

The Grass type tried to shake off Zubat and somehow managed to, but not in time to avoid Machop's attack as the Superpower Pokémon chopped it's opened hand on Bulbasaur's head.

Bulbasaur cried out in pain as it received the attack, but Machop kept going, chopping Bulbasaur relentlessly.

"Bulbasaur, get away!" Ben yelled desperately.

But it couldn't move as its legs gave way and fell to the ground. Ben couldn't keep watching and swiftly pulled up his Poké Ball again.

"Bulbasaur return!" he said as he directed the beam of his Poké Ball toward Bulbasaur and returned it to it's Poké Ball, preventing it from further harm. Machop backed off and looked back at it's trainer silently asking what to do.

"Heh, so run out of Pokémon have you?" Damon said ridiculing Ben

"Oh I get it." he said rolling his eyes with a wicked smile. "You only just got your starter Pokémon didn't you? So you're basically a nobody."

"Hehe, darling you've got a lot to learn as a Pokémon Trainer don't you?" sneered Maggie. "Well live and learn they say. Or in this case: don't."

"Machop, get ready to finish him" said Damon, as his Machop seemed intent on to show no mercy.

Ben gritted his teeth, starting to shake somewhat as he turned his hands into fists. He began to feel so nervous he was beginning to feel nauseous.

No. It can't end like this. There's still so much I can do. Ben thought, his mind was telling him to run, but his feet wouldn't move.

No! I won't run! Eevee needs my help! Ben thought, shaking his head and standing resolved, once again stretching out his arms as if to block the opposing Pokémon.

"Machop, use Karate Chop, and hit him till he doesn't move!"

Ben, closed his eyes, his life flashed before his eyes, he braced himself, waiting for the hit.

"Blastoise, Water Gun!" he heard a deep voice call out, followed by the sound of water being forced out of something and then a scream from what sounded like Machop.

"No Machop! Fuck, it's that Indigo League finalist! Retreat!" He could hear Damon yell.

Ben dared to open his eyes but was immediately met with smoke, as he coughed and shielded his eyes.

"Hey! *cough* Get back here! *cough*" he heard someone say, that sounded like Mick, as he heard a second guy plus a large Pokémon coughing

A few seconds later the smoke cleared and Ben could open his eyes again. The first thing he saw was a large, bipedal turtle Pokémon. It's body is blue and was mostly hidden by it's tough-looking brown shell. The shell had a cream-colored underside. Two powerful water cannons resided at the top of it's shell over it's shoulders. It's head had triangular ears, small brown eyes, and a cream-colored lower jaw. It's arms were thick and had three claws on each hand and feet. Poking out of the bottom of it's shell was it's stubby tail. It was a Blastoise, the fully evolved form of a Squirtle, the Water-type starter.

A little further away he could see Mick, as well as a young man next to him, who looked very similar as him. He was a tall fellow who too had orange eyes and black hair, though his was more spiky. He wore a dark orange jacket and black jeans, with white sneakers.

"Levi? What..." Ben was perplexed. "How... I mean... thank you." Ben said, feeling confused.

The man named Levi smiled widely as he chuckled

"No prob Ben, just taking out the trash!" as he gave a thumbs up.

Levi was Mick's big brother, he was older by two years. He had already gone on a journey and collected the eight badges necessary to enter the Indigo League, he'd done well in his first year, reaching the quarter finals. But on his second try he had even made it to the finals where he lost. His Blastoise had been his starter Pokémon. Mick drew inspiration from him and always said how he'd wanted to show he was superior to him someday.

Ben looked around but saw no sign of the Rocket duo.

"Where did they go?" Ben wondered.

"I don't know." responded Levi. "They used a smoke bomb to hide their retreat." he explained.

Ben nodded and turned around to gaze upon Eevee who was seemingly looking at Blastoise's large form, seeming terrified.

"Levi can you recall Blastoise?" Ben asked, pointing out Eevee.

"Oh yeah, sorry bro" he said as he noticed Eevee freaking out and returned Blastoise to it's Poké Ball.

"What are we standing around for?! Let's go get 'em!" Mick said, beginning to run off in a random direction, but Levi forcefully grabbed him and pushed him against a tree.

"No! I can't let you go after em Mick!" said Levi, who was somehow even stronger than his brother, managing to keep Mick in place.

Ben gazed upon them for a moment, he knew Levi meant well and was merely protecting his brother. After making sure Mick wasn't running off everywhere he turned his attention back to Eevee.

Ben slowly walked up to Eevee and crouched down, it was slightly shivering still, tho not as badly as before, and now it gazed upon Ben with it's big brown eyes, while he heard Mick arguing with his brother in the background about chasing after the criminals, but Levi wasn't having it. He tuned them out for now.

"Eievui?"

"It's ok Eevee, the bad people are gone, you're safe now." he said while beaming at Eevee. He took some Poké food from his bag again and threw some in Eevee's direction, the Evolution Pokémon gazed upon it for a moment and timidly limped up to it to take a bite.

It's injured. Must've happened in the crash... Ben thought worriedly

Slowly and carefully, he crawled closer to Eevee who was still shivering but he seemed comfortable enough with Ben now that he allowed him to approach. When he got close enough he outstretched his hand and Eevee flinched and closed it's eyes, Ben carefully petted it's head while whispering to him.

"It's ok, nobody here's gonna hurt you. You can trust me Eevee." he whispered calmly, as he touched Eevee's soft fur.

Eevee, reopened it's eyes and stopped shivering, now gazing upon Ben in wonder and curiosity.

"I'm sorry what you just went through, it must've been terrifying. Not only that but everything you've been through before. But you're surrounded by good people now, we won't allow anybody to hurt you. We'll make sure of it." speaking to Eevee as if it was a child.

"Vui..." Eevee nodded slowly, as if understanding him, he no longer seemed to be afraid of him. Ben moved his hands to quietly inspect it's legs and noticed it's paw on it's right hind leg seemed rather red. Ben went through his bag and pulled out a potion from it.

"Ok Eevee, this is gonna sting a little, I'm sorry, but it will make you better ok?"

"Eievui..." Eevee seemed to get a little afraid again yet didn't resist him as he applied the potion as the Normal-type Pokémon and yelped, grimacing in pain for a few seconds.

"There, you'll be fine now." he then scooped up Eevee into it's arms and approached the two brothers who we're still quarreling

"- can still fucking catch em, if we hurry!" shouted Mick

"No, I know you bro and you'll only put yourself in danger, I won't have it!" said Levi

"Guys, please stop, the Pokémon are safe, that's what's important." Ben said raising his voice somewhat to get their attention.

They turned to look at him and while Levi nodded, Mick scowled, crossing his arms and looked sideways at a tree.

"I still say we should've gone after em."

"Ben is right, Mick, the Pokémon are accounted for and that's what counts here. We'll report them to the police, they can take it from there." Levi said

Mick kicked out against a tree in frustration, not gazing at either of them, remaining silent. Levi however smiled.

"He'll be ok, he just needs some time. How's that Eevee dude?"

"He was hurt by the crash, but I fixed him up with a potion." Ben then looked downwards upon the ground and fought down a shiver.

"Thanks for saving me, Levi... I don't think I would've been in very good shape. Heck, you might even have saved my life..."

"Hey." Ben felt a hand dropping on his shoulder. And he felt Eevee trembling again in his arms probably from Levi being so close. "You did good, protecting that Eevee. That was brave of you how you selflessly protected that Pokémon, bro."

Ben tried to let Levi's words sink in, but he still felt overwhelmed by everything that just happened. He didn't know how to feel right now. He just risked his life to save a Pokémon and he could've been seriously hurt or worse. Still... he did the right thing, right?

He took a deep breath and looked into Levi's eyes again as he spoke again.

"But next time, call for help. You can't do everything by yourself, you're just starting out as a trainer, I know you thought you were prepared for everything but it's stuff like this that nobody can prepare for. Out there, whether it's criminals or wild Pokémon, it's just you and your Pokémon have to make split second decisions that could be the difference between life and death. That's why it's important to travel in groups. I'm glad you and Mick are going together and joining forces but don't think you can handle everything on your own, understand?"

Ben nodded silently, thinking back on Machop's steely gaze as it had prepared to attack him and ready to hurt him.

"If you can, get another one or two people to join you and Mick, there's safety in numbers. Now then. Let's gather up those Poké Balls." Levi said removing his hand from Ben's shoulder and turning back to the spot where the Poké Balls lay. Mick, still upset followed his brother, while Ben followed in tow, still holding onto Eevee who had stopped trembling.

As they came back to the Poké Balls they saw Prof Oak, clearly out of breath, leaning against a tree to rest, he smiled as he saw the trio approaching and stepped back from the tree.

"Ah Levi! I assume I have you to thank for the rescue of the Poké Balls?"

"Yes Professor, I was on my way to the lab when-"

Levi explained how saw Team Rocket's balloon in the distance and used his Pidgeot to bring the balloon down, how he went over to look for the Poké Balls but heard a commotion nearby to find Ben been about to be attacked by Machop and how he'd used Blastoise to stop him, to which they promptly ran away under cover of a smoke bomb.

"Dear God, Ben are you ok?" Prof Oak asked when Levi was done explaining.

"I think so, they didn't hurt me. All I could think of was helping Eevee, I guess it was foolish of me to think I could take them on by myself." he said, not wanting to look anybody in the eyes.

"Yes, that may have been foolhardy, but I understand you wanted to protect Eevee. All the same you and Mick should think twice before trying to pull another stunt like that again. You could've been seriously hurt." said Prof Oak in a disapproving tone.

"No, you're wrong!" Mick objected, looking angrily at Prof Oak and his brother. "If it wasn't for Ben, Team Rocket would've taken Eevee, he's a hero as much as my brother is. Sure he wasn't ready to take on somebody like Team Rocket but he was brave enough to protect Eevee from harm. He did the right thing and we shouldn't scold him for doing so, besides I would've done the same thing!" Mick said, while Eevee yelped at his outburst and started to shiver.

"But" Prof Oak began "Team Rocket are very dangerous people Mick if it was-"

"No, don't even try to argue with him Professor" Levi interrupted him. "I learned long ago there's no changing Mick's mind once he's made it up."

Prof Oak sighed at this and shook his head, but didn't press further. Then he turned to look back at Ben, still his eyes gleaming.

"Ben, I'm surprised Eevee is allowing you to hold onto him like that, it would seem you've gained his trust."

Eevee had stopped shivering and was now looking up at Ben curiously.

"I guess so. I'm glad Eevee is understanding I'm only trying to help it." he said, gazing back at Eevee with a smile.

"In that case I have a favor to ask you." Prof Oak said as Ben looked back to the researcher, he pulled out a Poké Ball.

"This is Eevee's Poké Ball, I'd like to give it to you. I believe Eevee will feel more comfortable with you and I know you'll take good care of it. Raise it well and try to help it recover the best you can. Can you promise me that?"

Ben blinked and remained silent for a moment. It took him a while to process what the old man was saying to him.

"Y-You mean I can keep Eevee?" Ben asked dumbfounded.

"Yes, that is what I'm proposing."

Ben smiled widely at this as he beamed down at Eevee.

"What do you think Eevee? Do you want to come with me?"

Eevee remained quiet for a while, gazing intently into Ben's eyes, then it actually smiled for the first time and nodded.

"Eievui!"

"It seems Eevee has accepted you as it's trainer Ben" said Prof Oak "Well let's return it to it's Poké Ball then, shall we?"

Prof Oak then put the Poké Ball forward and used the beam to return it to it's Poké Ball, but just at that moment Eevee yelped and jumped out of Ben's arms, Prof Oak tried again to return it to the Poké Ball but Eevee jumped out of the way and again, before hiding behind Ben's legs shuddering.

"What's the matter Eevee?" Ben asked looking down at Eevee.

"Eievui! Eievui!"

Eevee looked at the Poké Ball with a terrified look on it's face.

Is it... afraid of the Poké Ball? Ben wondered.

"Hmm... It seems Eevee doesn't like to be confined in it's Poké Ball" declared Prof Oak. "It's very rare, but sometimes Pokémon just refuse to enter a Poké Ball. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise given what Eevee's been through." Prof Oak concluded.

"Well then, I won't force Eevee to go inside it's Poké Ball, it can just walk with me." Ben said.

"Alright then, still here's the Poké Ball Ben, you'll need it to help identify it actually belongs to you in case you want to enter tournaments with it." Prof Oak said as he gave Ben the Poké Ball.

"Oh come on, that's not fair, dude! How come Ben gets two starter Pokémon and I only one?" Mick said annoyed.

Prof Oak turned to Mick.

"This is a special exception. I've already issued Ben his Bulbasaur so it wouldn't be right to ask him to give it back to me since he already used it in a battle. But Eevee seems to have chosen Ben as it's trainer and I really think it's better if he takes care of it since they've already established a bond between them, while Eevee has trust issues. Please try to understand Mick."

"Eh, whatever." Mick scowled.

"That's right I used Bulbasaur earlier and he got hurt. I should probably give it a potion." Ben said as he released Bulbasaur from his Poké Ball, when it got out of it's ball it looked around worriedly and afraid.

"It's ok Bulbasaur, the bad guys are gone, sorry for putting you in that situation... But we had to help Eevee here..." Ben said as he crouched down.

"Bulba..." Bulbasaur looked over at Eevee and noticed how it looked at him with fear in it's eyes and Bulbasaur's face softened, he seemed to understand.

Ben then applied a potion to him and returned it to it's Poké Ball.

"Well, seems all ends that ends well. Now we just have to inform the police and get these Poké Balls back to the lab" Levi said.

"Yes, but as you know there's no police station here, we'd have to contact the nearest one which is in Viridian City." Prof Oak replied.

"Well, then we'll go." Mick said, still looking upset but no longer sounding angry. "Ben saw what they looked like and fought them, his report will be the most valuable I guess."

"Yes, good idea Mick." said Prof Oak "I'll leave it up to you two. I'll call the police and let them know you're coming, don't delay tho. The report needs to be delivered as soon as possible if we want to have any hope of catching the culprits."

Ben nodded and looked at Mick as they nodded at each other in understanding.

"Alright bro, good luck on your journey and please listen to Ben every once in a while, he's very knowledgeable about Pokémon, you should use that knowledge." Devi said clasping a hand on his shoulder.

"Sure, don't worry about me Levi, I can handle myself."

Levi laughed but turned serious afterward.

"Just stick together and don't do anything rash alright? Don't make me worry over you"

Mick dismissed him at first but then fist bumped his brother.

"Just you wait, I'm gonna catch up to you and win the Indigo League!"

Levi laughed at this.

"I'd like to see you try, but I know you'll do well."

They bid farewell to Levi and Prof Oak and made their way to Route 1, although their journey didn't start the way they expected they were now on the road to meet numerous new people and Pokémon alike and have amazing adventures.
