Noticing your reaction, he stepped back. "It turned out that Kazutora was the one who killed him. Eventually, I forgave Baji. I had to." Mikey chuckled. "But how could I ever forgive the killer of big bro?" He asked you, shrugging.
"That bike is both a curse and a precious memory. The fuckin' curse of having been the reason for Shin's death in the first place, yet the last memory I have of him." He told you.
"It's as if I could still feel his spirit when I ride it." He grinned while staring into the distance, "If that makes sense."
You sort of understood what he meant, but maybe that's the beauty of it, the fact that he could describe it to you. "Mikey, I wouldn't have even known what to do if I were in your place." You stated to him as you walked closer to the boy.
"But... I do know that he'd be proud of you for filling in his shoes, Mikey. And doing a damn great job at it too."
You put your hand on his shoulder and turned him to you. "I'm so sorry, Mikey."It finally clicked in your head what he meant when he said, "Nothing gold can stay." He may be the cause of death for Chifuyu's closest friend, but at this moment, he was vulnerable. He was human, and you knew you had to treat him as such. He blamed himself for being the reason for his brother's death, you pulled him in for a hug, and he was stiff.
Mikey kept his arms to his side for a moment until he finally wrapped them around your waist and rested his head on your shoulders. You patted his head as you stroked his hair.
"Thank you, Y/N. For listening."
"I'm here for you. Toman's here for you." You told him. "And we're not leaving any time soon." You said softly to him.
He didn't strike you as the type to be so open about his feelings, but at the same time, you were glad that it was with you. The two of you stayed in each other's arms, embracing the warmth of each other's bodies.

You and Mikey sat on the dock to get the whole experience of the sunset, the sun had set not long after, and the sky filled with stars.
Mikey broke the silence, "Let's go, Y/N. I'll take you home. You shouldn't be out too late." You gladly followed him to his bike. Except, this time, you weren't as afraid to get on. The idea of motorcycles excited you. Maybe one day you could even have your own.
You grabbed on tightly to him, "This isn't as scary anymore." You spoke up as you rested your head against his back.
"What did I tell you?" He smiled, "It's fun."
The two of you went off into the night, the sound of Mikey's engine filling the city, heads turning to see who the sound belonged to. You felt the cold breeze of the night blowing through your hair and onto your face. It was a nice feeling. Not only that, but all your favorite smells from all your favorite places filled your nose.
You were home soon after, but something stuck in your mind. You wanted a way to bring up Baji-San, and the fact that you knew him. But how? You wanted to do it both in a subtle way that would get his attention. Was such a move possible?
"Think, Y/N. Think."
The blonde-headed boy stopped alongside the curb outside your house and turned off his bike. The bike tilted, losing its balance, and you got off. Mikey followed and walked you toward your door. "Today was great, Mikey. I'm glad I got to spend it with you." You told him. "Emma seems really nice too."
He had his hands in his pockets while he walked, "I'm glad. I did too. It's always a great time with you." He hesitated for a moment. "You know, Y/N, I don't know how it's possible... but I can talk to you so easily. It feels like we've known each other for so long even though—"
"Even though we only just met?" You finished his sentence, cutting him off. He paused to look at you, and you faced him back.
"Yeah." He grinned. Mikey enjoyed the fact that you felt the same way as he did. Maybe, just maybe, it was leading to something more.
Keeping your grin, you turned back to continue walking, but you tripped on your own foot and nearly fell. The two of you were already near your front door, and you would've banged your head on wood, but Mikey's reflexes kicked in, and he sprung forward to catch you. His right arm wrapped around your waist as he caught you and turned him to you.
You both struggled to catch your balance. Afterward, Mikey's arm remained wrapped around your midsection as you both moved closer to the door. And there, as if time froze once again, the two of you stood—you leaning up against the door with Mikey's arm around you as he had his other on the door behind you to stop you from moving. Your arms are on his chest, the classic Kabedon.
The environment around you intensified as you stared into each other's eyes. Everything else grew silent, and you could hear not only the sound of each other's breath but your heartbeats as well—one of the most intimate moments. Your breaths grew heavy as the passion in your bodies began to grow. A fiery passion emerged from you both—you needed each other, you wanted each other.
"M-Mikey I—"
"Don't speak." He shushed you in a low tone. Mikey wanted to embrace the moment and take in all of your beauty firsthand, he loved holding you the way he did, and you loved it just as much. You couldn't help but nervously smile.
Slowly, he began to lean in, closer and closer and closer. Your lips were nearly a centimeter apart from intertwining and sharing a passionate kiss. The both of you closed your eyes as the moment grew more intense with each second. You truly wanted to feel the tenderness and softness that Mikey's lips had to hold, to hold him close, to taste him.
To feel your lips intertwining with one another as they danced with one another in perfect harmony. A kiss filled with passion, love, and all things sweet in the world was milliseconds away from occurring.
The perfect moment had almost happened until the blonde-headed boy stepped back briskly, causing you to become confused.
"What was that?" Mikey said as he looked at the ground, searching for something that continued to confuse you. He looked all around the area where his feet were, searching for answers to a question you didn't know.
"Huh?" You asked quickly, feeling something between your legs. "What was what?" You scanned the ground as well. And there you saw it—an orange-furred cat that had walked right in between the two of you, disrupting your moment.
You pointed at the animal and laughed it off, "I think that's the neighbor's cat." You told him.
"Well, your neighbor's cat sure has good timing," Mikey responded as he scratched his head. The both of you were unsure if you should mention that moment you almost shared, it was unplanned, but both of you hoped it would happen. The two of you stood in silence, waiting for the other to do something, to say something.
"I uh... I should get going." You hesitantly told the boy as you began to open the door, breaking the silence. You wanted to continue your moment, but you didn't know how to, or if he even wanted to.
"Oh, yeah." He said, smiling as he began to walk off. "Bye-bye." He added in his farewell.
As you head into the doorway of your house, it struck you that this could be the perfect moment to bring up what you wanted. Maybe this moment won't be wasted after all. You paused for a moment and turned your head downwards to the side as you called out to him, "Mikey?"
He turned back and faced you as he heard his name, "Hm? What's up?" Mikey was hoping so much that you had called him back to be with him, to spend that time with him, to get your moment back. To feel your arms on his chest once more, to have his arms around your waist. To feel your breath on his skin, to feel your head on his shoulder.
To kiss him.
"The story..." You spoke out. "about your brother. It reminded me of a friend—
"a friend I had lost... recently."
It took a couple of seconds to settle in his mind as he wasn't expecting those words to come out of your mouth. "Y/N, I had no idea. I'm so sorry." He stated in a concerning tone as he began to walk to you, "Is there—"
You cut him off as you continued your sentence, "His name was Baji." You walked the last couple of feet into your home and closed the door gently before the boy could get any words in.
Then, you saw his face grow concerned and cold as his eyes widened when he realized that his Baji and your Baji were one and the same. "Baji?" He whispered to himself as he got lost in thought.
"Baji... Keisuke? "

Mikey heard the voice of Emma calling him out of his room for breakfast, he was still quite sleepy, and his hair was a complete mess. He still pondered about how it was that you were friends with Baji. Assuming it was something to do with Chifuyu, he figured he could just ask you about it later. After all, he had another problem he had to worry about, at least according to Draken.
Still, in his morning clothes, Draken stopped by as promised but also brought along Takemitchi. Mikey let them into his room and sat on his couch while the tall boy stood behind, brushing and styling Mikey's blonde hair.
The blonde-haired boy had both his arms and legs crossed on the couch as he asked, "What's up, Takemitchy?"
"Tenjiku..." Takemitchi said, "I met their leader."
