"Look I'm happy for you. I am but if she doesn't respect you, we're gonna have a problem," Dylan said on the other side of the phone call.
"She does. It was just an accident. She misunderstood the moment and I told her already I wasn't ready to take it that far."
"Ok I believe you but if anything else like that happens you have to let me know."
"Yeah yeah I know," I answered as I poured myself a cup of coffee. I took a sip and then thought of what Drew said about Vic last night.
"What if she doesn't like my friends?" I asked Dylan breaking the silence.
"Well then me and her are gonna have a problem. Why? Does she not like me? I haven't even officially met her?" He asked.
I then laughed at him because I wasn't talking about him but instead about Vic.
"No, it's not you. It's just that yesterday we were talking about Vic and she said that she thinks Vic likes me."
"What? Like likes you? Like more than friends like you?"
"Yeah like that," I answered.
"Hmm... she could've possibly said that because she's jealous of your friendship or who knows she might be right."
"Well I just don't want Drew to dislike the people I care about," I said.
Dylan didn't say anything for a few seconds but then began talking again.
"I got it! Ok it might be risky and I don't know how this will turn out but why don't you invite Victoria to hang out somewhere with you and Drew? If you want Drew to see Victoria differently, they should meet each other."
I didn't think the idea was half bad but who knows how they would get along. Vic did invite me to a little party with her other friends so maybe I could bring Drew along.
"Yeah I think I'll do that," I said to Dylan.
"Ok, I'll wish you luck!"
"Thank you! I got to go now."
"Bye!" Dylan said then hung up the phone.

I first called Drew to see if she wanted to come and if she did she could also be able to meet the others like Katie or Lia. Vic used to ask me to go hang out with her and her teammates because I didn't have any friends here or know anyone but now I've gotten to know gotten close to them and become real friends they usually expect me to come with Vic. Weirdly, I'm the only one hanging with them that doesn't play football but I don't mind. I let them talk about all that stuff because I also love to talk about it too. They are amazing people and so funny so I think Drew will like them and they'll like her too.

Vic was okay with Drew coming and Drew said she doesn't mind going so now I just have to hope that they get along or at least like each other. I feel like I'm in some kind of rom-com movie where I have to get my "soon-to-be girlfriend" and best friend to get along and the crazy part is that they haven't even met each other! Okay maybe Vic will like Drew but Drew has kind of made it clear that she doesn't know if she'll like the kind of person Vic is. I've tried to tell her Vic is a great person but she's just gonna have to see for herself.

I picked up Drew from her apartment as soon as she got out of work so we could go to the party. It was going to be at Vic's place so knew where to go. we arrived then me and Drew went to the apartment floor. We were walking towards Vic's door as Drew said, "Am I going to be at a party with professional footballers?"

"Yes," I said laughing.
"Woah. That's crazy."
"Ok here's her door," I said as I knocked on it.

It only took a few seconds for someone to answer it and as the door opened I saw a big smile coming from Katie.

"Taylor!" Katie said bringing me in for a tight hug.
"Okay Okay let's go now," I said tapping her arm.
"Oh sorry. I'm just excited to see you," She said then turned her head to see someone else beside me.
"Who's this?" she said with a questioning face.
"Oh yeah this is Drew and Drew this is Katie," I said bringing Drew closer to me and Katie.
"Hi. it's nice to meet you, Drew," Katie said giving Drew a handshake.
"It's nice to meet you too."
"Well come in guys. I think Victoria is in the kitchen if you want to go see her Tay."
"Uh yeah I'll go in a bit thanks," I said to Katie as she left.

Before going to find Vic I introduced Drew to all the Arsenal players who did come and some other footballers that were friends with Vic. I introduced myself to them as well because I'd never met some of them. After that me and Drew walked into the kitchen to find Vic taking out something from the fridge.

"Hey," I said making Vic turn around to see me and Drew.

"Tay. you're here! Sorry I wasn't able to get the door I didn't know you were here already," Vic said placing the item, what seemed to be a dip in her hand, down.

"It's alright. Katie opened the door and then I introduced Drew to everyone."

"Right. Hi, I'm Victoria. It's nice to meet you," Vic said giving Drew a gentle smile.

"I'm Drew."

"Yeah, Vic talks about you here and there."

"Does she?" Drew said turning her head to me and then grabbing my hand. She was looking at me up and down and then started to talk again.

"Wow, I didn't even realize you're outfit. You look amazing," Drew said grabbing my shirt with both hands near my waist.

I was confused as to why she was doing this right now and acting weird. I know her doing this in front of Vic was awkward. Vic just stood there not knowing what to do. After a few seconds, I backed away from Drew.

"Um, would any of you like a drink?" Vic asked breaking the silence.
"Yeah, that would be great. Thanks," I said.
" A water will be fine," Drew answered.
"Tay?"
"Uh yeah, water for me too."
"OK, two glasses of water. Here you go," Vic said handing us two cups of water.
"Thanks."
"So what do footballers do at parties?" Drew asked.
"Normal things like normal people. eat, talk, drink, play games," Vic said getting some food ready.

"Oh I just expected you all to just talk about football and I don't know maybe kick stuff around," Drew said but she said it seriously.

I don't know why she was acting so weird but the questions she asked her were just dumb.

"We're not children Drew. We are normal adults like you," Vic said laughing but I know she was trying to cover up how annoyed she was by that question. I was kind of annoyed by it too even if I'm not a footballer.

"Right sorry," Drew said smiling.
"Okay we're gonna go to the living with everyone else," I said to Vic while gesturing for Drew to come with me.

"Yeah go ahead. I'll be there soon."

We went to the living room where everyone was sitting and talking. Katie, Kyra, and Alessia were playing dominoes while Lia, Beth, Viv, and Jen were laughing about something they were talking about. There was also Jordan who used to play for Arsenal sitting beside Leah.

"Shit! I hate this game!" I heard Katie yell throwing her dominoes. The other girls started to laugh fixing the dominoes again.
"Taylor, do you want to take my spot? I'm done playing for now," Katie said getting up from her spot.
"Sure. Do you wanna play?" I asked Drew.
"No I'm good but you go ahead."
"Hey guys," I said to Alessia and Kyra as I sat down.
"What's up, Tay! I don't think you met Kyra," Alessia said.
"Hey I'm Kyra," she said waving her hand.
"Hi, I'm Taylor. It's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too. So you any good at dominoes?"
"I'm alright. I don't think anyone can be bad at the game?"
"Well, that's where you're wrong. Katie is horrible," Alessia said laughing.
"She can't possibly be that bad."
"Oh she is," Kyra said giving me some dominoes.

I started to set up mine and we began having a conversation as we were playing.

"So is Drew your friend or...?" Alessia asked.
"Yeah. I mean we are in the talking stage." I said putting a domino down.
"Oh ok. I get that. You're getting to know her."
"Yeah she's a cool person," I said smiling.
"It seems like it. She's making Viv laugh. Viv never laughs," Kyra said looking over at Beth, Viv, and Drew laughing whatever they were talking about.

At least some of the Arsenal players got along with Drew. I can't say that right now about Vic but I'll just wait to see what happens today. In the meantime, I was winning in dominoes. I then felt Vic come sit beside me.

"Hey," she said.
"Hey," I said back putting another domino down.
"Drew won't mind me sitting will she?"
"No it's fine," I said reassuring her.
"Yes! I won!" Kyra said loudly. I looked at Vic in defeat.
"One loss won't hurt," she said patting my shoulder.
"Yeah, Taylor!" Alessia said laughing.
"Whatever."

For the rest of the night, we all kept playing games and having some really funny conversations. I got to know more about the Arsenal players and now call them my friends. It looks like Drew is having a good time. She hasn't been near me but instead, she's been talking to a few people around me. Vic has been near me though but not having a conversation. I've been noticing Drew turn her head to look at me here and there which is fine. I don't think she minds Viv sitting next to me. I already had a conversation with her about Vic the other day so she has nothing to worry about.

Everyone was getting tired of playing games and talking so we decided to watch a movie. Of course, everyone wasn't agreeing on a movie to watch so Leah decided to have everyone pick a movie and she would use a "spin the wheel" to pick the movie. I didn't care that much about what we watched so I didn't choose a movie but Drew decided to pick Knives Out which is honestly a pretty good movie. Everyone said what movie they wanted and Leah clicked the button. The wheel was going pretty fast and eventually, the wheel landed on... White Chicks. I started to laugh because I knew how funny that movie was. Of course, the person who chose the movie was Katie.

"Yes!" Katie yelled in excitement putting up both hands in the air.
"Ughh," a few people said because their movie wasn't picked.
"It was fair and square guys," Leah said sitting down on the couch.
"Why are you laughing?" Vic asked me.
"Because of the movie," I said turning my head to her with a big smile.
"You've watched it?"
"Yeah. You haven't seen White Chicks?"
"No, I'm Dutch remember? I probably haven't seen a lot of the movies you've watched."
"Right, but even European people have watched this. I'm sure they have," I said.
"Well I haven't, but since you say it's good, I'm sure it is," Vic said turning her face to the TV.
"Seriously? Knives Out is way better than this movie," Drew said sitting on the other couch opposite of me.
"Hey! Don't disrespect my movie!" Katie said but in a funny way.

Everyone was watching the movie and I wasn't surprised when I heard them laugh in pretty much every scene. Even Drew was laughing even if she didn't want to watch this movie. Vic was having a good time as I could hear her soft Dutch laugh beside me. I was getting thirsty so I got up from the couch and headed to the kitchen. As I was pouring myself some water I heard someone enter the kitchen.

"Do you know where the cups are at?" Beth asked me.
"Yeah there right here," I said pointing at the cups on the counter.
"Oh thanks," she said grabbing one and opening a wine bottle.
"Don't tell," she said giving me a wink.
"I didn't see anything," I said laughing.

As I was done getting water it was a little silent and I could tell Beth was going to say something. I'm not a psychic or anything, but knowing Beth, she doesn't like to stay quiet.

"Hey. How's London been?" Beth asked putting her cup down.
"Good actually," I said.
"That's good to hear. Vic has been a good host I'm guessing?"
"Yeah. Vic has always been amazing. She's even let me meet new people," I said leaning on a counter because it seemed like Beth wanted to talk more than expected.
"New people like Drew?"
"Well, I met Drew myself. My friend from America wanted me to talk to people here to get me to date someone."
"And how are you and Drew doing?" She said leaning on the counter as well.
"Fine. Why? Is everyone wondering what we are?" Laughing at my comment.
"You guessed it."
I put my hand on the counter propping myself up so I was no longer leaning on the counter.
"Why does everyone care anyway? I mean isn't it obvious we're together?"
Beth stood up too by what I said.
"So you two are dating?"
"Well... n-no but... we're talking," I said.
"Oh," Beth said then her face turned to looking more confused. I'm not even sure why she is confused in the first place.
"Do you like her though?"
What kind of question is that? Why would she think I didn't like someone I was talking to? I didn't want to say it like that to Beth though. I wouldn't want to sound rude.
"Yeah... I like her. Why do you ask?" I said.
"It's just that... you barely met her and as your friend, I want to make sure you're with someone that you like," Beth said. I could see her fidgeting with her fingers which only meant she didn't want to tell me that but she did anyway. Beth just became my friend so I don't understand why she cares so much about my relationship with Drew.
"I know you just mean the best for me Beth but I'm okay. I do like Drew and the girls seem to like her too," I said.
Beth sighed and let me know she wasn't satisfied with my answer.
"She doesn't seem to like Victoria. Drew was talking to everyone except her and by looking at the way Victoria was looking at her, she doesn't seem to like Drew either," Beth said honestly.
"Look, Beth. I'll figure something out. I do care about how they both feel."
"Okay... I don't mean to get into your business. I just care about Vic."
"Yes, but I don't think my relationship with Drew will hurt Viv. All I want for them is to get along or to at least try," I said taking my cup to leave the kitchen.
"Well let's hope they'll try," Beth said leaving the kitchen as I left with her.

We went back to the living room to finish the movie and the rest of the time I decided to sit beside Drew. I mean she is the one I'm planning on being with in the future. We were close together and her arm was around me. My head on her shoulder but all I could feel was Viv staring from the corner of my eye.
