Usa woke up, the sun streaming through the window, birds singing outside. But something felt... off. He couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled in his stomach like a lead weight. He tried to ignore it as he made his way downstairs, his movements automatic, his mind still foggy from sleep. As he reached the bottom step, he paused, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves.

Something was definitely not right. He could sense it in the air, a tension that seemed to crackle between each breath. He glanced around, looking for anything out of the ordinary, but saw nothing. The kitchen was spotless, the fridge humming softly, the counter tops clean and empty. His kids, usually chattering away and bumping into each other, were eerily quiet.

He walked over to the refrigerator, opening it to reveal a note taped to the inside of the door. His heart skipped a beat as he recognized Russia's flowing script. "Meet me in the backyard," it read. "We need to talk." Usa felt a shiver run down his spine. He hesitated for a moment, debating what to do, before finally deciding to follow the instructions.

As he stepped outside, he was greeted by the warmth of the early morning sun. The birds were still singing, but the air felt different somehow. He scanned the yard, searching for Russia. Where could he have gone? Suddenly, he heard a rustling coming from behind the shed. He crept closer, his curiosity getting the better of him.

As he rounded the corner, he found Russia sitting on the ground, his tail swishing back and forth. Usa cleared his throat, not wanting to startle him. Russia looked up, his cat eyes meeting Usa's well more of it being his sunglasses he had on.

"Ah, Usa. I was beginning to wonder if you were coming." Russia said, his voice smooth as silk. Usa paused, considering how to respond. He had a feeling that whatever was going on, it was important. "I'm here now," he finally replied, taking a seat beside Russia.

The two of them sat in silence for a moment, gazing out at the yard. The tension that had been building inside Usa began to ease somewhat. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of nostalgia for the days when he and Russia had been friends, before their differences had led them down this dark path.

"So," Usa finally said, his voice barely above a whisper. "What did you want to talk about?"

Russia hesitated for a moment, looking away before meeting Usa's gaze once more. "I think... I think we should try to make things right between us," he said softly. "We've been enemies for so long, and it's only made things worse for everyone involved."

Usa felt a pang of guilt as he listened to Russia speak. He knew deep down that there was some truth to what his former friend was saying. They had been enemies for far too long, and it was time for a change. "I agree," he replied, his voice equally quiet. "I'm willing to try and work things out with you."

As they sat there, lost in thought, the memory of their shared history flooded back. The good times, the bad times, the times they had laughed together and the times they had argued. It all came rushing back, like a tidal wave of emotion that threatened to overwhelm them both.

Russia broke the silence first. "Do you remember that time we went to that beach? The one with the warm sand and the cold water?" He asked, his voice distant, almost wistful. Usa nodded, his own memories flooding back in an instant.

"Of course I do," he replied, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "We spent the whole day building sandcastles and then arguing about who was better at it." They both laughed softly, the sound almost foreign in the stillness of the yard. It felt good to laugh again, to let go of the tension that had been building between them for so long.

As they continued to reminisce, the warmth of the sun began to fade, replaced by a gentle breeze that rustled through the trees. The birds overhead grew quiet, as if they too were listening in on their conversation. It was as if time itself had paused for a moment, allowing them to relive their past and perhaps find a way to move forward together.

"You know," Russia said softly, his voice thoughtful, "I never told you how much I appreciated you standing up for me that day. When everyone else was calling me names and treating me like an outcast, you were there for me." He looked down at his paws, his ears flattening slightly. "I never really had many friends growing up. It was just you and me against the world, you know?"

Usa felt a pang of guilt as he listened to his former friend. He had been so focused on their rivalry that he had lost sight of the bond they once shared. "Yeah, I guess we did," he replied quietly. "And I'm sorry for what I did. For how I treated you. I was just so angry and confused, you know?"

They sat in silence for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. The air between them had shifted, somehow lighter now that they had acknowledged their mistakes. "Do you think we can ever really go back to how things were?" Usa finally asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "I mean, with everything that's happened..."

Russia shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe not completely. But I think we can try to rebuild something new, you know? Something better." He glanced over at Usa, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "We've both changed since then, after all. We're not the same kids we used to be."

Usa nodded in agreement. "You're right. We've both grown up. Maybe it's time we started acting like it." He paused, taking a deep breath. "So, what do you say? Do you want to start over? Be friends again?"

Russia smiled at Usa, a genuine smile that reached his eyes. "I'd like that," he said, his voice steady. "I've missed having you in my life, even though we've been enemies. So, yeah. Let's try being friends again."

They sat there for a while longer, their paws entwined as they watched the last rays of the setting sun paint the sky in shades of pink and orange. It felt good to be together again, to not have to worry about the other one trying to hurt or humiliate them. The air was filled with a sense of peace and contentment that neither of them had experienced in a long time. Then Usa started coughing violently, bringing them both back to the present.

"Are you okay?" Russia asked, looking concerned.America couldn't respond as he coughed out black ink and then stuttered saying get my m-medicine. Russia hurriedly sprang to his feet, scooping the smaller male into his arms. "I'll take you to the infirmary right now. You shouldn't be out here in the cold like this." "n-no the i firmary wont do Anything they never have p-please go ask Florida where my med is and she will give it to yo-" befor he cold finish he trew up black ink"H-hurrry"
Russia hurried back to the dorms, their movements awkward and stiff as they struggled to carry the sick male between them. The silence was heavy as they walked, each lost in their own thoughts. Usa was terrified of what was happening to him, and the thought of being without his medicine was enough to send him into a panic. He couldn't breathe, his heart felt like it was going to pound out of his chest. He was shivering uncontrollably, his fur matted with sweat and slick with the cold.

Finally, they reached the room they shared with Florida. Russia gently laid Usa down on his bed, his paws trembling as he spoke to her. "Florida, I need you to give me Usa's medicine. He's really sick and we don't have time to take him to the infirmary."

Florida hurried over, her wings rustling in alarm. "What happened? Is he having another attack?" She took the medicine from her pocket and handed it to Russia, who quickly administered it to Usa.

As Usa lay there, his breathing slowly returning to normal, he felt a sense of relief wash over him. He turned his head to look at Russia, tears streaming down his face. "Thank you," he whispered hoarsely. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

Russia knelt down beside the bed, his own expression a mix of worry and determination. He reached out and gently wiped the tears from Usa's face with his paw. "Don't worry, Usa. I'm not going anywhere. I'll always be here for you, okay?"

Usa nodded weakly, sniffling. He looked up at Russia, feeling a sense of gratitude and trust wash over him. He knew that they had both made mistakes in the past, but he was grateful that they were at least trying to move forward.

As the minutes passed, Usa's breathing slowly returned to normal. His fur fluffed up, the chill beginning to fade from his body. He shifted uncomfortably on the bed, still feeling weak and drained.

"Would you like some water or something to eat?" Russia offered, his voice soft and reassuring.

Usa nodded gratefully, still feeling weak but slowly regaining some of his strength. "Water would be great, thanks." Russia filled a small bowl with water and placed it on the bedside table before settling down onto the bed next to Usa. They sat in silence for a while, just enjoying each other's company.

The night sky outside the window was beginning to darken, the stars twinkling brightly. A gentle breeze blew through the open window, rustling the curtains and sending a chill down their spines. Usa shivered slightly, and Russia wrapped an arm around him, pulling him closer. The warmth of his body was comforting, and Usa felt himself relax a little more.

"So, how have you been feeling lately?" Russia asked, his voice gentle. "Any other symptoms?"

Usa shrugged, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I've been tired a lot, and my stomach's been hurting sometimes. But I thought that was just from not eating well."

Russia frowned. "That doesn't sound good. You should probably go see a doctor or something, just to make sure it's nothing serious." "no im not  going to a doctor Russia last Time i did i was experimented on i didnt like It"

"I understand that, Usa, but we can't just ignore this. You could be really sick." Russia sighed, running a paw through his fur. "Look, if you don't want to go to the infirmary, maybe we could try to find someone else who can help us? Someone who wouldn't hurt you or take advantage of you." Americas ear go down then a idea comes"wait japans a cat right" Usa asked "yeah HHH" Russia said confused "well mabey she can help us shes a cat nurse after all she must know"

"You think Japan could help us?" Usa perked up at the idea. "I mean, she is a cat nurse... maybe she could?" They both fell silent for a moment, contemplating the possibility. "I'll ask her tomorrow," Russia said finally. "In the meantime, you should get some rest. I'll stay with you tonight, okay?"

As the night wore on, the two of them lay together, their bodies warm and comforting against one another. They talked softly, sharing stories and memories. Sometimes they would drift off to sleep, only to be woken by a rustle of the curtains or a distant sound from the hallway. But for the most part, they were content to simply be together, enjoying the closeness and the sense of safety that it brought them.
