"About me... About this place... I know everything Alby, I can help get us out of here..." I lead, Alby was about to say something but was cut off by the shuck-butt Gally.
"I knew it! This girl works with Wicked!!" Gally out of nowhere yelled
"Gally! Slim your shuckin' hole!" Alby yelled back. I heard a few 'good thats' from around the glade
"We should go somewhere private. Then hold a gathering." My brother recommended
Alby eyed them then me, as if to say 'do they know what the hell is going on?' And I nodded in response.
"Follow me." Alby insisted. And we all followed.
We walking into the deadhead, no path had been patted down by several boys walking back and forth, like all of the other trails through these woods. We were at the mercy of where Alby was taking us. Farther and farther we went into the woods. Past dinner and into night we walked.
"Ok, I'm done. Alby, I don't think anyone is following us. Are we lost in these shuck woods?" Minho stopped and spun in a circle. Making his sentence more dramatic.
Alby didn't respond. He just kept walking. I walked past Minho to continue following Alby, so did Newt.
"Really?!?" Minho yelled. Throwing his hands in the air, and letting them fall at his aides, then he continued to follow us.
"Here we are." Alby finally came to a stoping point at a shack. It looked kind of like mine. A little smaller.
We all stepped inside to find a rotting wood bed, dresser, table, and chairs.
"I built this by myself when I was alone here. I knew if I came, others would too. I wanted my own place. But later, when I entrusted everyone here. And we had a system going, I moved to the homestead. I havnt been here for years." Alby explained, this was one of the few times he sounded genuine. And not pissed off.
"Alright Ryan. Time to tell your tale." Newt motioned to Alby while sitting on the floor.
"Okay," I started. "Before the glade, the maze. When we were just little. The sunflairs hit our world. Scorching it. A deadly disease put out by the government, for population control, got way out of hand. They couldn't control it from spreading. Quickly, they blamed it on the sunflairs." I finished the background stuff. I stopped invade he had any questions
"Go on." Alby persisted
"Wicked took us in," I paused "at least, that's what they told us. They put a chip in my brain, to monitor my brain waves. They forced me to design the maze, and the greviers. If I had refused they would have killed everyone here. They took my brother," I handed him a picture of Newt. "Then they put me in a clear box type thing, lined my family up. And shot them one by one. I had to watch them bleed out on the floor..." I started to tear up.
"It's alright Ryan, you've been through so much..." And then something unexpected happened. Alby...
Hugged me.
Of corse I hugged back, this was a one time opportunity Minho and Newt soon joined in on the hug.
"There's one more thing..." I croak out.
"What?" One of the boys ask.
I look up with hate and fury against wicked in my eyes, realizing they needed to be destroyed, as soon as possible. I look at Alby, making eye contact and say clearly...
"The maze is a code."

I know that was a short chapter, I'm sorry, but that was just a great place to end it. Honestly this is about half of the length I normally write. And I'm sorry for that. But ya know, I'm the writer and I do what i want! Lol... Anywho, have a good day my lovsies!
