Semi stared at the ceiling towards his dorm room with downward slanted eyes. He bit one of his jaws, the problem scenario playing in his head repeatedly like a broken record.
Yet, it wasn't really a scenario, it happened face to face.
Semi grumbled some words underneath his breath stressfully, rising to his feet to exit his dorm room. You and Semi were in a tiny relationship, yet one small problem emerged and shattered that chance for an actual confession.
An argument.
Apparently so strong it separated you two from ever speaking again.
At least I won't get to see their face again. Semi slightly scrunched up his nose at the thought. You didn't go to the school of Shiratorizawa, anyways.
The setter tried not to let his feet drag underneath the weight of his heartbreak. Semi saw the slim, red haired boy that was on his team in the corner of his eye, yet didn't speak a word.
“Semi!! Hey! Wanna come join us for lunch?” Tendou waved excitedly, almost banging his hands on the table, some of the food utensils shook as Ushijima politely requested Tendou to calm down.
Semi softly huffed, grabbing his empty water bottle that he brought along with him, filling it up with fresh, cold water before ignoring Tendou's words, leaving the scene.
Tendou blinked twice, then at Ushijima with a shrug. “Mmm, what's up with him, eh?” Tendou slanted his eyes, rubbing his tall red colored hair, raising his eyebrows at the ace.
Ushijima paused with a faint grunt, looking down at his cup of liquid before taking a breath to speak. “Tendou.” He paused once again, getting the middle blocker's full attention.
“He's going through things at this time. I'd rather not speak of it.” Ushijima shook his head softly as Tendou gave a slow nod, along with a humming sigh.
“He is? Did something happen, like with his lover?” Goshiki perked up with his eyes slightly widened, he placed the bit of food in his mouth, chewing it slowly. Ushijima was about to open his mouth before Tendou tapped his fingers against the table. “Didn't he just say not to talk about it?” Tendou tilted his head.
Goshiki grunted, sinking back down and continuing to focus on his food. “You're one to talk, Tendou.” Shirabu mumbled loud enough for the middle blocker to hear. He cleared his throat afterwards. “You couldn't stop rambling about how much you adored Ushijima the other day, anyway—”
Tendou froze, shaking his head quickly. “UH, no. No I wasn't, Shiraaaaabuuuu..” Tendou showed half of his tongue, avoiding eye contact with the ace that was across the table. Shirabu took a sip of his drink. “Don't.. ever say my name like that again.”
“Are we going to question why Semi is acting like this again?” Taichi questioned in a rather unfazed tone, blinking slowly as he looked over at Ushijima. Ushijima didn't say anything at first, hesitant for a moment before he eventually spoke.
“No. Wait things out and he should tell us what's going on.” Ushijima paused. “Semi can't go forever without talking to at least someone.” Ushijima added on with a soft mutter, getting up from the table rather formally as he gathered his food tray and other food supplies.
“Little smarty paaaants.. but! I'll go with your word.” Tendou shrugged as he looked over his shoulder at the ace, placing a palm under his chin afterwards.
Semi closed his dorm door behind him again with a huff, rubbing his face with his hands a bit harshly. I can't hide myself forever. I eventually have to let them know. Know what's actually happening, know what's hurting. Semi eyed the ceiling again, turning towards his wall to softly hit his forehead.
No, not yet.
It's not the right time.
