"Ghost, you know I'm going to have to stitch your leg up right?" Devyn asked as Jake and I ate the snacks we found.
"UGHHHHHHH I forgot about that." I grumbled, getting a shoulder pat from Jake.
"Better do it now than later, it could get infected."
I wiggled my way out of the cart with the help of the guys. We moved over to a carpet laid nicely in the ground. I kept whining the whole time.
"What if we just leave it be and let God do his thing?" I half assed tried to convince her.
"This is gonna hurt." She said as she started to stitch my leg back together.
"OH FUCK-"
"EWWWWWW!" Jake ran away and gagged and Kat followed.
"I can't watch that." She said. "Me neither, God that's disgusting!" Sam said as he ran away with Kat.
"That's disgusting dude." Colby remarked.
"You think I don't know that?!"
I pulled at my hair a little as she kept stabbing my skin with a small needle and threading a small string through it. Colby couldnt stick it out and left.
"How about a joke?" Corey said, voice quivering. I hummed, letting him know to continue.
"Uhhhh, I don't know. This is gross, I can't be here." He walked away and went with the others who watched from afar.
"YOU GOT THIS G. IM SUPPORTING YOU. FROM RIGHT HERE!"
Jake yelled from across the store. Everyone else laughed, I would've too but there was a needle stabbing me so I wasn't the happiest camper at the moment.
"This is torture. Fuck!" I bit onto my hand as she kept going.
"I'm going as fast as I can!"
"Go faster- wait no that sounds wrong." She shook her head and smiled a little.
"Almost done." She said. I looked down and she wasn't even halfway done.
"YOU FUCKING LIAR!" My pain grew higher as I remembered the small needle going into my skin. Everything hurts more when you look at it.
"You got this!" Colby yelled. I looked back and saw his thumbs up. I flipped him off and yelled, "You should've let me fucking die! This is fucking torture!" I winced again as she put the needle back through my skin.
"Ok, almost done for real now." I looked and saw that she only had a little left to do. I sighed and relaxed. She finished up and wrapped up my leg.
"Finally!" I smiled, laying down and preparing to rest.
"Yeah, now I have to clean your eye again." I whipped my head up and squeaked out, "WHAT?!"
"What? I have to clean it?" I shook my head and pleaded.
"But you already did in the car! Please!" I put my hands in the praying motion.
"That wasn't enough. C'mon it's just a little." She reached out for my face and I backed away.
"Fuck that!"
I jumped up on my one good leg and limped away. She got up and chased me.
"RUN G!"
"GO GIRL!"
"YOU GOT THIS!"
The others called out as I slipped through the aisles. Even though I was crippled, she still couldn't catch up with me. That's why Corey had to intervene. I went down an aisle and he came out of nowhere.
"JESUS SHI-" I screeched out as I fell. He helped me up and let Devyn catch up.
"If you ever do that again, I'm stabbing you and redoing the stitch." I jokingly whimpered in fear. They brought me back and the others booed.
"Just get it over with." I said to the two. Corey held my arms behind me and Devyn cleaned out the cut.
"See, it's not that hard."
"It really is! I'm just holding in the pain." I huffed out. This one hurt a lot less, and the others decided to come back for support.
"It's not that bad, just very... bloody." Sam grimaced as she washed it out with water.
"Liar." I closed my eyes tight from the pain.
"Can you even see out of it?" Kat asked.
"It's blurry, but yeah."
"That's because the blood seeped into it. You should be fine." Devyn said as she finished up.
"Should be?!" I questioned as she started to put the stuff away. She smirked and then went to throw away the used stuff.
"Good luck with tha-" Corey was cut off by the door opening. We all looked around and saw that everyone was accounted for.
"Shit!" I whisper yelled. I scooted over behind the aisle. The guys hid behind the aisles too, but they slowly started to move closer. I peeked from behind and saw a girl walk in.
"Hello?" She called out.
"Hello?" Sam stood up and responded like an idiot. I couldn't help but laugh a little.
"Who are you?"
"My name's Sam-"
"Dude!" Colby stood up as well and gave him a similar look that he gives Jake and I.
"What? It's just a girl."
"Wow. So I'm unthreatening because I'm a girl?" She put a hand on her hip and gave him a stank look.
"Not what I meant! But who are you? And why are you here?"
"My name's Tara and I live here. What are you guys doing here?"
"Oh well, we just lost our previous home and were looking for a new one. We can leave if you want-"
"Dude!" I called out as well. He put his hands in the air.
"What? It's not our house!"
"Wait, did someone eat my gummy bears?" She said, looking at where Jake and I found out snacks. I scratched the back of my head and looked around aimlessly.
"Wait, let's get this straight. You live here?" She nodded.
"Alone?" She nodded again.
"Huh. Well, I guess if you want us to leave we can go, but like, can we stay here for a few days at least to get back on our feet?" Colby asked. She looked at all of us, then she shrugged.
"Yeah, I don't care." She walked over to where we were, sitting down on a bean bag.
"Oh sweet!" Sam walked over and sat down on the ground.
"Wait, so we just barged into someone's home and they let us? Wait, we don't even know your name!" Corey laughed in shock.
"I literally just said it."
"Well I was kind of busy trying not to get murdered."
"Psssht, pussy." She laughed. Everyone came out from hiding. All of us laid down in that area and got to talking.
"So, what happened to you guys?"
"Someone broke into our house and tried to murder us." Sam said bluntly.
"Oh sick!"
"Why are you all alone?" Colby asked.
"Everyone in the town went to the bigger cities when it started and the majority died then. After that there was a huge surge of sickness that spread. That took the rest of them out."
"Dang, I'm sorry about that. But how are there no z's here? They're everywhere!"
"Oh! I figured out a trick. The Z's don't like the smell of themselves and it blocks out the scent of us so I lined a bunch of them up at random spots and buildings so there's rarely any here."
"Smart." Devyn said. They sent small smiles to each other.
"I'm Devyn, that's Corey." She said, pointing to her boyfriend.
"Nice to meet you." She said.
"Uh, hi. I'm Jake." He sent a small wave. I smirked to myself as she waved back at him.
"Colby, nice to meet you." He sat there stiff as a board, trying to be a little threatening I guess.
"Hey."
"Sam, Kat." Sam said, pointing to him and then his girl.
"Hey. By the way girl, I love your hair."
"Oh my God, thank you!" Kat rubbed her arm as she smiled. She nodded.
"Yeah no problem!" Then it was my turn. UGH.
"Ghost." I gave a slight one finger salute.
"That's such a cool name I love it." She smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back.
"Thanks."
For the rest of the day we mainly chilled there.
A/n: I had the most fun I've had since the third grade yesterday. Also, I know that Jake and Tara are broken up so idk if this'll be a ship. And Sam and Kat. But I already started this before they separated and I'm too deep into it to really change that. Also, I am SO close to publishing another story but it's 2017ish based back to the OG trap house days. It's the same concept the adopted bs but I rlly like it and I'm genuinely thinking about it. I'm not sure if I ever will but just in case, look out for that.
(Also, once again, I don't re-edit these so if there's editing mistakes, I'm so sorry I'm a lazy fuck)
