May sighed to herself as she walked through the hallways. Her class would be starting soon, except she wasn't necessarily excited for class. She hadn't slept well at all, and the rainy weather only worsened her already bad mood.

Opening her locker, she carefully slid the books that she didn't need into it. Her eyes fluttered shut for a second before she opened them again. 'Ah, I'm not excited for the next class at all...' she huffed to herself, slamming the locker shut and turning around. She flinched when she saw Brianna standing before her. 'Aah!' May yowled.

'Ah! I'm so sorry!' Brianna panicked. 'I didn't mean to scare you... I just... I was calling out to you except you weren't saying a thing,' Brianna mentioned. May furrowed her eyebrows. 'Oh, you were? Sorry, I haven't slept well at all today.' She yawned, rubbing her eyes. there were certain thoughts that were keeping her awake.

'I.. need to talk to you..' Brianna murmured, frowning. May cocked her head. 'Sure, what's up?' May asked, swinging her backpack over her shoulder again. 'I... I heard that Drew's got a girlfriend,' she whispered, her eyes tearing up. May's eyes widened. 'What?!' She exclaimed in surprise. He had a girlfriend? But the previous day he had claimed that he hadn't!

'Yeah....' Brianna murmured back, sighing to herself. 'Who? Who's his girlfriend? And who did you hear that from?' She asked, a furious feeling bubbling up in her stomach. Brianna shyly looked at her feet. 'Apparently there's a new student. She's been seen around Drew all day.'

May blinked. 'But... that doesn't mean they're dating,' May protested, silently hoping that he really wasn't in a relationship. 'Yeah, but.. Drew doesn't have much friends at all, and.. they seem really close..' Brianna mumbled, clasping her hands together anxiously. That being said, May couldn't help but feel a little jealous.

'I'm sure they're not dating.' May murmured under her breath, walking past Brianna, not even bothering to wave her goodbye. What was he doing? Did he have a girlfriend and refuse to tell her? What if he was playing around with her? What if that kiss from yesterday wasn't even genuine?! She felt hopeless.

With her eyes tearing up, she angrily walked through the hallways. Yes, she had developed feelings for him. But she couldn't say he returned those feelings. Despite his nice attitude towards her nowadays, what Brianna said stuck to her. And really badly, as well. May clenched her teeth, trying hard for tears not to run down her cheeks.

'Hey, June.'

May looked back up, to be met by the very emerald eyes she didn't want to see. It was Drew, smiling at her. He wasn't smirking, either. May curled her lip into a frown as the hot tears that were forming in her eyes threatened to walk off of her cheeks. 'May.. are you crying?' He murmured.

May gasped, a tear rolling down her cheek. Not knowing what to say, she let out a quiet sob and ran past him, leaving Drew confused. Drew quickly turned around to yell after her. 'May! Are you OK?!' Drew yowled, worry in his eyes.

May breathed in and out. She had walked into the bathroom stalls. Luckily nobody was there, so she let out some frustrated sobs. Was he playing with her feelings? She couldn't tell, but if he was, she has fallen for it. She had fallen for his stupid tricks. Clenching her teeth, she wished to stop crying. 'Hey, are you okay?'

A kind voice rung behind her. May flinched before turning around. She was met by a long, pink haired girl, who was smiling sweetly at her. May couldn't say anything in return, so she let out a sob. 'You're not okay, are you? What happened?' The girl murmured, placing her hand on her shoulder.

May swallowed. 'I feel terrible.' May excused, stuttering. The girl in front of her giggled. 'We all have those days,' she assured her. 'C'mon, dry up those tears. It'll be okay.' She said, removing her hand from her shoulder. May breathed in and out. 'I.. I hope..' May murmured, brushing way her tears with her hand. 'There we go.' She smiled.

'Who are you?.. and why are you being so kind to me? Most girls wouldn't just care that I would be crying..' May sighed, looking down at her feet. 'My name's Solidad. But you can just call me Sol if you prefer.' Solidad said, happily nodding at the sad brunette in front of her. 'Solidad..? That's a pretty name.. My name is May..' She murmured, brushing the last tears off of her cheeks.

'May?' Solidad giggled. 'That's a lovely name.' She said, placing her hand on her waist. 'So, what were you so upset about?' She asked. May took a deep breath before answering. 'I have the feeling that.. a guy I've come to admire is playing with my feelings..' she mumbled underneath her breath, looking down at her feet.

Solidad frowned. 'Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that..' she said, giving her a friendly pat on the back. 'I'm sure he isn't. I mean, I haven't talked to you for long, but you seem like a really kind person.. who is this guy who you feel upset about?' She inquired, making May blush a little. 'Well.. he's very popular. His name is Drew, you heard of him?'

Solidads eyes widened. 'Oh! You mean Drew? I sure know him,' she said, grimacing. 'Are you close to him?' she asked. May hesitated before answering. '...I guess? We've... done plenty of things together, we..' she mumbled, '..We've even kissed..' she admitted, her cheeks reddening in embarrassment.

'Oh?' Solidad murmured, the corners of her mouth cracking into an even bigger smile as she closed her eyes. 'Then.. you've got nothing to worry about,' Solidad sighed, 'I'm sure he really likes you. Otherwise he wouldn't have done such things.' She assured her before turning around and walking out of the restroom, leaving May dumbfounded.

What? May blinked in confusion. The girl acted as if... she knew him. Personally or something. How could she so easily come to the conclusion that he wouldn't do such things? Who knows, Maybe he was acting. Maybe he was being a really bad liar. Fiddling with her fingers, she once again sighed to herself and silently stumbled out.

May dumbed her snacks into her mouth. She was constantly thinking over what had occurred to her today. And it messed her up. Terribly. 'May?'

May heard the familiar voice and turned around. It was Drew, curiously looking at her— and, unexpectedly, with a familiar pink haired girl beside him. 'D-Drew?' She gasped, 'Solidad?' She murmured, her heart thumping loudly in her chest. 'May!' Solidad greeted her with a wave. 'Nice to see you again!'

'May.. are you okay now?' Drew asked, no form of emotion written in his facial expression. May swallowed before nodding hastily. 'Uhm, yeah! I am!' She said, dismissively waving her hands. 'Okay, I'm glad to hear that.. I was really worried when you run past me crying— If you mind telling me, what was it about?'

May swallowed again. 'Ehm.. I just had some stuff on my mind and it made me a little emotional. But it's okay, don't worry..' she protested, looking down at her knees, refusing to look Drew into his eyes. 'Ah... okay.. uh, anyway, this is my friend, Solidad! She's a transfer student,' Drew told her.

'Yeah.. I've bumped into her.' May smiled childishly. 'Nice to see you again, Solidad..' she murmured. 'Back at you!' The girl grinned, putting a thumbs up. May hesitated before sliding her lunchbox back into her bag, standing up and looking down at her feet. 'Well, uh... I'll go head to class,' she exclaimed, turning around and walking off.

'So that's the May you're constantly talking about, huh?' Solidad smiled sweetly at her green haired friend. He didn't respond, his cheeks only flashed a bright red. 'She still looks a little upset though..' she noted, looking back at May who was making her way to the larger staircases up ahead. 'She does. I wonder if something happened to her.'

'I think she's just having a bad day,' Solidad excused, crossing her arms. 'Why don't you head on to class too, hm?' Solidad asked, once again stealing a glare at her friend. 'Ah. Right. It's a shame we're not in the same class.. well, see you, Sol.' Drew huffed, waving before he calmly walked off. Solidad blinked. She had to talk to May, she was convinced that she was still upset.

May puffed her cheeks. Finally, class was over, and she now had her final break of the day. May planned to eat in the cafeteria, but she was afraid of bumping into Drew again. And Solidad as well. Was Solidad the person that everyone was talking about..?

'Hi, May!'

In a flash May had turned around. And Solidad was standing in front of her, kindly waving at the brunette. May flinched before she could answer. 'Ah... hi, Solidad,' May murmured, the corner of her mouth cracking into a grin. 'Hey. Could I talk to you for a bit?' She asked. May furrowed her eyebrows. 'Sure?'

The two went to sit down at one of the tables. 'So.. you're in love with Drew, aren't you?' She giggled, getting straight to the point. May however went red in the face. 'I-Is that what you want to talk to me about!?' May panicked, covering her mouth with her hands. Solidad laughed. 'Sort of..'

'Well then,' May huffed, breathing in and out. 'Are you?' May asked, her gaze piercing into hers. Solidad blinked before falling into a fit of laughter. 'H-huh?' Solidad laughed. 'No, May.. don't worry. I don't like him! If anything.. he's.. like a little brother to me!' Solidad snickered, quickly coughing into her elbow.

'Huh? So you're not dating!?' May spat in surprise. 'Huh? You thought we were dating? How come?' Solidad asked, curiously cocking her eyebrows as she folded her arms. May sighed deeply before herself until she looked down at her knees. 'People were saying you guys were a thing.' She admitted.

Solidad perked up. 'Wow, so people were talking about me? It's weird I haven't heard about that,' she mumbled to herself, placing her finger on her chin. 'But we're certainly not,' Solidad giggled. 'If anything, he's talking about you most of the time.' She nodded approvingly. 'He talks about me?' May exclaimed in surprise. 'Absolutely! And not just a little bit, either.' she grinned.

'Most of the time he's talking about you and the silly stuff that you always do,' Solidad smiled. 'It seems like he sees a good friend in you. Which is special enough, because he always said he was fine on his own..' she looked down at the table. 'But he said, that now, he feels a little more like himself.'

May blinked in surprise. 'What, really? He feels happy with me?' she breathed. She could feel as if hot tears were entering her eyes. 'Yes,' Solidad said, nodding. 'Incredibly happy! I don't think you've got to worry about how he thinks of you.' She chirped happily.

May smiled brightly. 'Thank you, Solidad. Thank you for telling me!' She giggled. Solidad nodded at the excited brunette. 'Of course! I know Drew could never admit such thing himself,' she jested. 'He acts all cool, while.. he's actually a softie.'

May stifled a laugh at her comment. 'Yeah, I've noticed!' She giggled, lifting herself up from the chair. 'Well.. I- I'll go eat in the cafeteria! Thank you again, Solidad! Good luck with your classes!' She waved the pink haired girl goodbye, but before Solidad could reply May had run off the stairs.

Solidad smiled to herself. 'They're so lucky to have each other,' she mumbled under her breath, lifting herself up from the chair as well. 'Don't you think so, Harley?' The purple haired boy groaned. 'Eehh. I don't know.' He said, crossing his arms. 'What, are you jealous?' Solidad suggested, deadpanning at her friend.

Harley pumped his fists. 'Grr! No way! I don't care a single bit about that brown and green haired idiots!' Harley spat, crossing his arms and sassily walking away, making Solidad laugh again. Drew wasn't the only one who had tough times admitting.

May happily marched through the hallways. Her bad mood had severely declined after Solidad had told her how Drew really felt. So he was just shy, and scared to admit that he appreciated her! The feeling alone that he enjoyed being around her filled her with joy.

The feeling of hunger filling her stomach, she walked all the way to the cafeteria, excited to get something to eat. Earlier the day she hadn't managed to eat since, well, two certain students came to talk to her when she was eating. Staring ahead of her, she hadn't even realized that Drew stood a little further away from her.

May felt an odd feeling in her stomach flutter. Though she felt nervous, she decided to make her mind up and marched over to Drew, wanting to scare him a little, she unexpectedly hugged him from the back.

___________________________

Drew felt his breath hitch in his throat. Someone just hugged him from behind! Startled, he looked behind his shoulder. And there was May, happily gazing into his eyes. 'Hey, Drew!' She grinned.

Drew felt his heartbeat go faster. 'M-May?' He spluttered in surprise, his cheeks heating up in embarrassment. 'Did'ya miss me?' May asked, playfully cocking her eyebrow at the blushing green haired student before she let go. 'N-No way,' he spat in a panic. May chuckled. 'Heh! Sure!' She laughed again, making Drew only more nervous.

After a silence fell between the two Drew sproke up. 'So... you're feeling better?' He smiled shyly, turning around to look at her. May nodded excitedly. 'Yep! I'm feeling much better, actually!' She said proudly, twirling around once. Drew let out a chuckle. 'Glad to hear that. I was really worried when I saw you crying.' He mentioned again, looking down at his feet. 'Seeing you sad makes me sad as well.'

May grinned. 'So you care?' May commented playfully, making Drew clench his teeth again. 'N-No,' he protested, his cheeks still a light pink. 'It's just sympathy,' He said, placing his hands on his waist and looking the other way. 'That's another word for caring,' May deadpanned at him. 'No, it's different.' He insisted. 'Are you sure?'

'I sure am,' Drew said again. 'You can't accept the truth that you care about me can you!' May jested, grinning at him still. 'There's a difference between caring and feeling sympathy!' Drew opted, accusingly pointing his finger at May. May narrowed her eyes, grabbed Drew's arm, pulled him towards her and gave him a quick peck on the lips.

'How about now?' May groaned. Drew, who was blushing even more now, had trouble speaking. 'Wh...' he hummed to himself, taken aback by her kiss. 'I guess.. well.. um..' Drew whispered, looking to the side. 'Has the cat got your tongue, Mr. Always-cool-and-collected?' She joked. 'Ugh, fine,' Drew gave in. 'You win. I care about you.' He admitted.

'WOO! I knew you did!' May grinned, happily pumping her fist into the air. 'Good thing, because I care about you too!' May smiled at him. Drew looked back into her eyes, the happiest feeling he could've ever felt seeping into his stomach. 'Well.. I'm glad.' He sighed happily to himself.

'No way, she kissed you?' Solidad murmured in surprise before the corner of her lips curled into a smile. 'Yes!' Drew replied. 'Like, right on the lips! Her lips were so soft..' he coughed to himself, his cheeks still red.

'If you ask me she really likes you.' Solidad smiled. 'Are you sure?' Drew furrowed his eyebrows. 'What if she kissed me to just prove a point?' Drew questioned, folding his arms. 'She didn't, Drew. I can just tell!' Solidad laughed. Drew sighed.

'So, you love her?'

'Yeah.. I love her.'
