Ryder had spent the rest of the night with her mom, genuinely not caring to respond to any other messages she received from Stiles through Austin's phone.
Apparently Jackson had gotten away and Scott, Austin and Stiles had gotten 'arrested'.
Thankfully for herself, she managed to leave before she had go through the same thing they did.
Other than the message she got, she hadn't spoken to any of them since she left them to deal with an agitated Jackson Whittemore/kanima on their own.
And to say she was feeling pretty relaxed would be an understatement.

"Ryder!"
"What?!"
The girl earned nothing in response. She struggled to hold back the groan that threatened to escape her lips.
"someone's at the door!"
The girl huffed, muttering to herself, "What the hell does that have to do with me?"
Getting up, she shoved the cover off of her lap, running down the stairs, only to stop short at the sight in front of her.
"Seriously?" She looked over at her sister who was sat watching tv, "Thirty seconds."
"That thirty seconds could be crucial, I don't want to miss anything important."
Ryder rolled her eyes at the girl, opening the front door. She didn't know who she expected to be standing there, but it definitely wasn't Isaac Lahey.
She looked behind her, turning back to him with a suspicious look, "Can I help you?"
"I hope so." The Lahey cleared his throat, refusing to meet her eyes, "Uhm— I don't.. have your number."
"That's because i didn't give it to you."
Isaac nodded, "Right, obviously."
"What do you want?" She looked up at him, leaning against the doorway with her arms crossed over her chest.
"The full moon is in few days." He watched her squint, "You knew that, I don't know why I brought it up. Anyways, uh... Derek's here, the whole pack is, we're about to go to some subway that Derek found for us to practice turning."
The blonde licked her lips, not really knowing how to respond. It seemed that Isaac picked up on her awkwardness and chose to continue talking.
"We just wanted to let you know that you could join us... on the night of the full moon. He also said that he planned on teaching us how to turn whenever we feel like it, but i'm sure you've got that down, you've been a wolf longer than we have."
"I'm still figuring it out." Ryder looks past him, eyes locking on the Hale man and his betas, "How'd you all fit in that car?"
"It's not really spacious—"
"Oh, I can imagine." She chuckles, Isaac laughing along nervously, "I'll think about. I probably won't show up, but I will definitely think about it."
Isaac smiled, nodding along to her words, "Cool, cool. I will see you then."
"Or you won't—"
"Or I won't, right. Goodnight."
"Goodnight, Isaac."

"He was cute."
Ryder held in a gasp, not expecting her sister to be standing in front of her. She look down at the girl slightly, pursing her lips,
"You're thirteen."
Josie scoffed, "Not for me, for you."
"No." Ryder deadpanned, walking passed her sister and into the kitchen.
"What?" The girl frowned, "Why not? Did you see how nervous he was around you?"
"Oh, my goodness, He was nervous?!" Ryder gushed, placing her hands on her face to mock shock.
"Yes!"
"Oh, my God! I'm feeling faint!"
"You're teasing me."
The oldest of the two chuckled, "I am."
It was no secret that Josie was more of the romantic of the two. She adored love, which was ironic considering that she never had a boyfriend, and only read picture books. She's never even read or seen Romeo and Juliet, which Ryder could predict would crush her when she got to high school.
Josie groaned, "Come on, Ryder. I heard mom and dad talking last night, they were saying how they felt bad that everyone at your school are a bunch of assholes."
"Watch your language." Ryder joked, putting her water bottle on the counter.
"Are you going to spend the night with him during the full moon?" Josie pried, leaning her arms against the counter.
"You're a nosy nelly today, aren't you?"
Josie hummed, head tilting in thought, "Its not really today, since it's technically night."
"Don't be a smart ass, Josephine."
"Don't call me that."
"It's your name, smart guy." Ryder stated, waiting for the younger teen to snap back.
"You still didn't answer my question."
Ryder huffed, "Well, if you were listening in on my conversation, like i know you were, you would have picked up on me telling him that I didn't know if I was going to go."

"So why do we need their help?"
Derek sighed, walking into the subway with his betas close behind him, "Because it's harder to kill than I thought and I still don't know who it is.
"And they do?" Isaac asked.
"Ryder apparently does." Erica's words go unheard as they simply pretended that he wasn't there.
"They might. Which is why I need one of you to get on their good side."
Erica hummed, "Mm. Scott or Stiles?"
"Either."
"What about Ryder?" The Reyes asked, looking specifically at Isaac, "Did she agree or not?"
"She said she would think about it, but told me not to count on it." Isaac informed them.
"I mean, that's a good thing, right? They've pissed her enough to the point where she's even considering siding with us."
Derek nods at Erica's words, "It's not a bad thing. But she's as stubborn as her mother, it'll take more than Isaac's pretty face to convince her."
"You know, the full moon's coming, Derek." Isaac reminded him, watching as he walked away from him.
"I'm aware of that." The Hale answered sassily, opening up a trunk.
Erica suddenly gasped, lifting up a pile of chains, "Oh my, these look comfortable."
Isaac brushed off her comment, "You said you were gonna teach us to change whenever we wanted."
"There hasn't been time."
The Lahey could tell that he was beginning to grow agitated, but he didn't care.
"But if you have to lock us up during the full moon, that means - that means you're alone against the Argents."
Derek shook his head, "They haven't found us."
"Yet! So how about we forget the kanima—"
"We. Can't! There was something about the way Gerard looked at it. He wasn't afraid - at all. I don't know what he knows or what he's planning. But I'm sure about one thing. We have to find it first."
