Portia Featherington was having a field day. She heard about Anthony Bridgerton kissing my hand before letting me go inside and she was ready to have us get married immediately. I should have warned him not to do it in front of the head maid. I let her tire herself out and had tea and biscuits brought out for my sisters and cousin to enjoy outside.
"Did he really kiss your hand?" Phillipa asked curious. I nodded at her and sipped some tea. I need to see if we can get hibiscus flowers for tea.
"Indeed. I am not sure if he is truly interested in marriage though." I bit into a biscuit and my sisters nodded their heads.
"The paper did mention and everyone knows he is a bit of a rake..." Marina added as she took a sip of tea. I laughed at that as my sisters looked more concerned.
"That is true. Perhaps not the best match for you Penelope." Prudence noted. I looked at them and smiled softly.
"I want a man that is obsessed with me. That way I will be assured he shan't go out and try to...share with the hungry." I stated as I set my tea cup down. My sisters and cousin looked at one another and back at me.
"I wish you luck in that endeavor then." Prudence and Marina stated together. Phillipa looked pensive.
"Share with the hungry?" she asked softly. All three of us looked at her then.
"When they go seek carnal comforts." I whispered to her. Her eyes widened.
"Oh."
I flicked my fan open and made a slight breeze for myself.
"Either way I doubt he is even that interested in me."
"Lady Penelope!" Millie's voice echoed out.
I turned to her eyes wide as she ran towards me . "Millie. Darling be careful, you could get hurt."
She huffed as she reached me.
"My apologies my Lady but you have a Sutor." My head tilted a bit confused at that. No one mentioned coming back today.
"Who?"
