After receiving a few weird looks until I figured out how to ride a grandma bike in kitten heels and a long semi tight dress I actually managed to come quite far and reached my destination... hopefully.
Sweaty, red and out of breath but complete.
I wish I listened to the Wachmann about how long this "journey" would be.
After I follow the hopefully right directions and end up at a nice looking house.
I park the bike and just hope it's not gonna roll away or fall over and walk to the door.
It's unlocked so I just walk in.
This is the most german house I've ever seen.
"Maggie." A blonde girl runs towards me and hugs me.
"Did she make it?" A voice yells. It's the girl from the phone.
"No I'm talking to a ghost." She rolls her eyes.
"I wouldn't be surprised." She yells.
"Finally." A brunette girl jogs down the stairs.
"So what's up with you?"
"Brain damage."
"What's new."
"Kuh."
"Come on. You took so long and we need to prepare."

"So you really don't remember anything?"
"No. I didn't even remember you."
"Ouch... Well I'm Elizabeth Maria Schneider and I've been your friend ever since we were 6. We were in the same school. Now I'm a secretary at the Reichstag. My sister is Eva Rosa Schneider. She's two years younger than me. There's also Emilie Katherine Edler. She's my older sister. She's married to Heinrich Edler. He was a guy you ran after." She began laughing.
"Remember when you-" She paused and let out a wheeze. "You tried to get him to notice to when you were in front of his window by throwing rocks at it and... YOU BROKE IT" She laughed louder than I'd ever heard anyone laugh.
"Are- Are you crying?"
"HE STILL THINKS IT WAS HANNE." She laughs falling off of her bed.
"When did this turn from a memory revision to a let's make fun of your best friends weak moments revision?" I hope she's not a nazi. I like her.
"That wasn't even your weakest hun. I hope the brain damage didn't make you boring. I'm sorry I didn't get to you earlier but Eva broke our phone... I hope your father didn't get to you earlier than me."
"What do you mean?"
"Infected you with this world war I propaganda and..."
"Made me a nazi?" I ask hoping that that's what she wanted to say.
"Yes?"
"No way. Miss Americana till i die."
"Oh thank god." She gives me a tight hug.
"I was so scared. I thought I'd have to talk about like how handsome Hitler is or something."
"Mhm yea Pedostache and flatulance. Please... I'm not Goebbels."
"Well that's great because I invited some handsome men tonight. One of them is part of this resistance group. They hand out flyers in the city."
"Don't you think meeting them will get us in trouble?" I pause for a second before we both burst out laughing. I've never met her before yet it seems like I've known her for years. She reminds me of Hanna... I miss my friends.
"Are you alright?"
"Klar..."
"Don't worry! We'll get your brain back in no time.. not much to get back anyway." She says smirking as I shove her away.
"Oh by the way." I take the cigarettes out of my purse.
"Oh the good american stuff. You bad bad girl... What would your papa think?"
"I don't care. He wont do more than maybe give me a slap. I remind him of Carin too much. Oh and before I left I wrote on a note that I'm busy getting tuberculosis."
"Oh you're evil." She laughs.
She lights up a cigarette as I do the same. As i smoke I reminisce about all my late night smokes with Hanna and Anne. I felt so trapped when I well first got her but she makes me feel free and normal. Not like I got transported in time and suddenly apparently am a daughter of a high ranking nazi. It's crazy. This is just a bad dream... right?

Those old amographs things played some old or well new Swing as the party basement was filled to the brim.
"Woah the Gestapo is here too?" A guy with black curly hair and a goofy smile walks towards me.
"Yes. They're going to arrest you for horrible crimes against the fashion world. What in gods name are those pants?" I smile at him sarcastically.
"My uniform. Thought you'd find that sexy." He hits a mocking sexy pose.
Uniform? I hope he means his signature look and not the SS or something.
I'm too naïve for this time. No wonder Hitler is fond of me.
"You'd like that huh?" Where did that confidence come from?
"Rudi." Elizabeth yells from behind me.
"She doesn't remember you. She lost a battle with her horse." She chuckles.
"That's Rudi. He studies medicine in Berlin." She whispers in my ear.
"Well Fräulein, I, am Rudi. Your boyfriend."
Pardon me?
"He's lying." Elizabeth raises a brow at him.
"For now." He winks at me before walking past me.
"When he finally opens up and likes you back, you loose your mind." She shakes her head.
"I didn't loose my mind just-"
"-everything in it. Got it!"
"You're such a smart ass."
"I learned from the best." She smiles at me before pulling me to the bar.
"Maybe some beer will bring you back." She laughs.
"Beer is so gross."
"Then a radler will do... you'll just have to double the number of glasses i guess." She hands me a large glass.
"Stößchen" She smiles.
"Stößchen."
"'n guten" Rudi slings his arm around me waist clinking his glass against ours before finishing his beer.
"I'm getting tired" Elizabeth realises. "Grete, quick give me a punch."
"What do you mean?"
"Oh you know.. your necklace" I look down and see a golden heart necklace. I didn't acknowledge that i had been wearing it ever since i came here. It had my Margaret's so my initials on it. I looked closer to see that i could screw open the top.
"Hurry! "
I open it to find a spoon covered with white power. Holy fuck it's coke. Maybe she wasn't such a kiss ass after all I mean taking coke with you everywhere in the third reich is kind of bad ass.
I spoon some out and hold it to her nose before she sniffs it. I follow suit.
"Each time we meet, I find out something new about you" Rudi smirks.
"You want some?" I smirk at him.
"Look at him he's already set. He got that grade a medical stuff though yours is better."
"You want to dance?" Rudi whispers in my ear.
"Of course."
A couple hours ago at Carinhall...
"Margarete, Kind. Open the door please. Your father didn't mean to.. you know how he is sometimes." Emmy knocks on Margaret's door concerned for the girl.
"He just wants to protect you."
"Margarete open up now!" She lets out an angry breath and walks back to the dining hall where her husband was sitting.
"She's not opening the door."
"Unbelievable... Ask one of the guards to open them for you." She just rolls her eyes in response.

"What do you mean she drove away?"
"Well Misch said that she got onto her bicycle and-"
"I know how you ride a bicycle. Where'd she go?"
"He didn't say, Ms."
"Open her door for me."
"Of course."
The Lady of the house walked through the now opened door expecting to see the girl sleeping or crying or both but instead only found a note.
"Bu- Buz- Buf- God in heaven that girl writes like she's never seen the school from the inside. What does that say?" She asks the Wachmann.
"Umm.. Busy getting tuberculosis... Don't look for me... I'll come back when the moneys gone... xoxo... xoxo? maybe swastika O swastika O?"
"That girl..." She shakes her head. "Thank you sir."
"Of course Ma'am. Sieg Heil." He salutes her before walking away as she makes her way back to her husband.
"She's gone."
"What do you mean she's gone?" He asks slightly panicked.
"She left this note."
"Don't worry she'll come back tonight." She says before he can say anything.
"She's probably just with one of her friends."
Back at the party...
Ding Dong
"Who's that?" I ask Elizabeth as Rudi was turning me.
"I don't know... Imagine it's Hanne- Nein."
"Who?"
"Oh yeah I forgot that you.. forgot."
"I'll get it." I smile at her.
"I'll come with you!" Rudi follows me to the door.
"Ja?" I open to door only to see the officers who I met earlier when driving away.
"Wha- What are you doing here?"
"We're supposed to find you and take you home."
"Do we have a problem here?" Rudi steps in front of me.
"Yes. She left without telling anyone and she's going to return to Carinhall with us. Now."
"One second." I close the door.
"Can I have your number?"
"You already do." He chuckles.
"Oh... well I'll call you.. maybe."
"Maybe?"
"Depends." I step closer to him.
"On what?" He steps closer to me taking my hand.
Knock Knock
I look at the door and let out and annoyed sigh.
"Depends if i get home or strangle the driver." I mumble.
"You need to come with us. Now."
"Ja Ja..."
"Bis dann." I let go of Rudis hand.
"Ja bis dann.."
"Sit." The SS or SA guy opens the door.
I sit down, scowling.
I look out of the window and see Rudi still watching the car as we drive away.
"Gave us quite the scare."
"I don't care."
"You should be a bit more careful and nice. Your father is a good man." Oh lick my asshole. He maybe wasn't the worst nazi but good man is a bit too much my guy. "Man" some would say would be too much.
"Do you have a crush on my father?"
"Wha- No." He grows red and the guy on the passenger seat starts laughing.
🖤 I hate this. What do y'all think?
