As Alya arrived at the bakery she knocked on the door, but there was no answer. She waited a hot minute before knocking again but still there was no answer. She tried to open the door but it was locked so she decided to call Marinette.
"Girl, why aren't you opening the door?"
"Oh my god Alya I'm so sorry I never heard it I- I was just...distracted"
"No worries girl! Just hurry down these bags are heaaavy"
"Yup on my wayyy"
As Marinette was making her way down the stairs she noticed a wash basket of clothes that she noted to put away before the boys came over. Marinette struggled to unlock the door but once she managed she flung it open and gave Alya a big hug.
"MARINETTE YOU LOOK STUNNING"
"Awhhh Alya thank you! I love your hair, you should wear it like that more often!"
"Not a chance, this silly little bobble for half my hair took an age. If I was to do it on a school day I'd be as late as you"
"Pftt okay! Geez, you weren't lying about the bags being heavy, what did you put in them? Boulders?"
"Ahaha no, just pizzas, PJ's, DVD's and all the usual sleepover stuff, like my phone charger. Which reminds me I need to charge my phone asap because it's on 4%"
"Pfft Miss Prepared isn't so prepared today is she"
"Yea yea Mari at least half my life doesn't need to be covered up and lied over"
"Well at least I'm good at it"
"Can't be that good if you ended up letting me in on your major secret. Which by the way I can't believe you kept being LADYBUG away from me for so long"
"Ahaha sorry just part of the job now lets go up to my room I still have things to do"
Once they made their way into Marinettes room Alya plugged in her phone and dumped the bags on the floor. Marinette put the pizzas on the kitchen counter whilst Alya stayed in the room and unpacked some of her things. Marinette came back up the stairs to see Alya looking at her walls.
"Where'd you put them?"
"What do you mean"
"The posters? c'mon girl I know you still have them"
"Ooh right! yea, that I won't tell. I know what you're like."
Marinette asked Alya for help with tiding up her bedroom and unsuite. She knew that the boys wouldn't judge her or her things but she just wouldn't cope with the anxiety and thoughts of the small possibility that it would cross their minds. Marinette decided to clean the bathroom after Alya offered to hoover her room and make her bed. Apart from that her room wasn't too messy, just a bit off clutter here and there.
"Marinette, Nino texted me he's almost here. Are you nearly done in there?"
"Yea Alya I'm just gonna clean the mirror. I don't know how it gets so messy but it does"
"Ahah that's too real. I'm gonna get a glass of water if that's okay"
"Of course! You know you don't need to ask silly"
As Alya was going down the hatch Marinette added onto her sentence.
"Oh and can you get me a glass too? You'll probably need to bring up Nino and Adrien glasses too for later."
"You got it!"
Marinette finished up in the bathroom and decided to put a new bin bag in her bin. Alya came back up with two empty glasses and handed them to Marinette. She then went back down to get the water filled glasses whilst Marinette kept the hatch door open.
"I've just put them on my desk so you can put ours there too" At this point Marinette's voice started getting shaky and Alya could tell she was getting nervous again.
"Don't worry Mari. You're awesome and I know you can do this! If you need a breather we can go up to the rooftop for some fresh air and a chat."
"Okay" Marinette couldnt say much but she pulled a genuine smile which gave Alya the reassurance that Marinette was fine with what she said.
