"WHERE IS HE!!!" I yelled bursting into the throne room, my face and full view and my eye glowing brighter. The paper still in my hand as I held it tight. As I entered I see Jorah standing in front of My Dragon talking about something that I am too blind in rage to think about.
I storm up the steps and grabbed Jorah by his shirt, pulling him down to my face. My sea green eye staring into this soul.
"You sneaking, puny little, old, smelling cockroach. When I left I told you to be her friend and protect her. Now I come with information that not only betrays me but her as well?!?!" I growled, my eye glowing brighter and brighter. Suddenly I was pulled away from the bastard by Barristan and Grey Worm. I resisted, trying to take my sword and slice his face off.
At the corner of my eye, My dragon looks between us in confusion. Standing in the middle of the two of us.
"What is the meaning of this?!" She questions. I take my arms away from Barristan and Grey Work, and take a deep breath trying to calm down. Take the paper that was somehow still in my hand and give it to her. Still staring at Jorah with my eye and face glowing. Silence filled the room.
"Why did the usurper pardon you?" My dragon asks in a softly yet heartbreaking tone.
"If we could speak alone?" Asks Jorah, fixing his shirt. My eye glows brighter.
"No. Speak to me here." Jorah stays silent for a while.
"ANSWER HER!" I yelled. My voice booming into the throne room. My dragon lays her hand on my arm, making me somewhat calmer. Somewhat.
"Explain it to me." She orders calmly.
"Who do you think sent this to Meereen? Who profits? This is the work of Tywin Lannister. He wants the divide us. If we are fighting each other we are not fighting him." Jorah says avoiding the question.
"The pardon was signed the year we met. Why were you pardon? Unless you're saying this document was forged?" She questions. Jorah gulps.
"It is not forged." He answers.
"Why then?" Jorah takes a minute before answering.
"I sent letters to Varys, the spymaster of Kings Landing." He answers. My eye glowing brighter.
"What were the content of these letters?"
"Information."
"What information." Silence again.
"When you and Viseryis arrived in Pentos. His plan to marry you to Khal Drogo. When you were married. When your brother died."
"You told them I was carrying Drogos child?"
"I.."
"YES OR NO YOU BASTARD!!" I yelled again. Taking a step forward only for Barristan and Grey Worm to stop me again.
"Khaleesi" he whispers.
"Don't call me that. Did you tell them I was carrying Drogos child?" She demands in her queen voice. Jorah swallows and looks down.
"Yes" he whispers. My dragon then walks towards him slowly. Her posture never falling keeping her composure, even though I can see she was about to explode.
"That wine merchant tried to poison me, because of your information." She says. Staring at him in the eye. I hope that merchant is dead.
"I stopped you from drinking us wine." Jorah defends.
"Because you knew it was poisoned." Jorah looks at her with guilt and mercy in his eyes.
"You betrayed me! From the very first." My dragons voice faltered. I look at her with sympathy, wanting to comfort her. Jorah kneels to the floor, begging and pleading for forgiveness.
"You sold my secrets to the man, who killed my father."
"I have protected you, fought for you."
"And stole my fathers throne."
"Killed for you."
"You want me to forgive you?!?" She does not look at him in the eye. Know if she does she will break. Jorah still on his knees begging for her mercy and to forgive him.
"I have loved you." He confesses, making me reach for my pistol but Barristan stops my hand. My eye and face still glowing.
"Love. Love? How can you say that to me? Any other man I would have you executed, but YOU I do not want you in my city dead or alive. Go back to your masters, in Kings Landing. Collect your reward if you can." She snarls. Still not looking at him, keeping her gaze forward and high.
Jorah stand up from his knees and tries to take her hand. Making Barristan and Gray Worm reach for their sword. While I took the opportunity to take my 'precious' pistol out and aim it at his head. Daenerys pulls her hand away in disgust. Looking down at him with rage and betrayal and sorrow in her eyes. Making my heart break from the sight.
"Don't EVER presume to touch me again or speak my name. You have till dusk to collect your things and leave this city. If you are found in Meereen past break of day, I will have your head thrown into slavers bay. Go. Now." She orders. Fire burning into her eyes, I push my pistol into his head and gestures to the door. He doesn't react, just stares at her with guilt and sadness. He bows his head and slowly leaves the room in silence.
**
It's been a couple of hours since Jorah left the city, the one afternoon sun was replaced by the midnight moon. I was on my way to my Dragons quarters when I head sobs and glad breaking. Worried I rushed into the room to see everything destroyed. Glass sprouted everywhere, desks and chairs scattered across the room and the mixture of blood and wine spotted the floor. Hearing sniffled again I look up and see my dragon sitting on the foot of the bed. Her arms covered in scratched with bits of glass in them. When she looked at me my heart broke. Her pale face was covered in tear stains and her violet eyes were puffy and red.
I launch myself towards her and pull her into my chest. Being careful of her wounded arms, I gently take a pair of tweezers from my pocket and began to take the glass out of her wounds. Her head rested on my shoulder, and her eyes closed. Exhausted from crying and heartbreak, as I worked on her arms. After the glass was out, I rip part of my shirt and some ointment that I had in my pocket as well, I wrapped her arms. After I wrap my arms around her, pulling her into my chest as she continued to cry. Deciding to hum her a song that my mother would sing to me to sleep.
"Hush now my baby be still love don't cry,
Sleep as your rocked by the stream.
Sleep and remember my last lullaby.
So I'll be with you in your dreams."
Running my fingers down her messed up hair, she began to relax to my touch. Leaning into my warmth and burring her face into my chest.
"River oh River flow gently for me such precious
Cargo you bear. Do you know somewhere she
Can be free? River deliver her there."
My eye began to glow, but instead of sea green it changed into a deep blue. Showing my affection and comfort for my Dragon. Hearing her deep and slow breath, I noticed that she fell into sleep's embrace. Softly smiling I pick her up into my arms and carry her over to her side of the bed. Gently lowering her down, taking a strand behind her ear and cover her with the blanket. Looking down at her I softly smile. Even with her puffy eyes and tear stained face she still looked beautiful. Especially in the moon light. I walk over to my side, and take off my boots. Then ever so slowly I get into the bed and gently pull her into my frame. She murmurs and buries her face further into my chest. Breathing in my scent and falling back to sleep. I smile down at her, she's just so cute.
Outside of this room she's Daenerys Stormborn, who can be cold yet kind, and just and strong. Though on the inside she's broken, she has lost her entire family, her husband and child all in the same day, and lost so many of her closets friends. I'm very grateful that while she is with me, in this room, she is able to break down those walls and express what she is feeling on the inside. Even though we might need to redecorate the destroyed room. That night as sleep overcame me, I vowed to always be there to not only guide her but to protect her. Always.
Though only half of that promise was kept.
