Hope you enjoyed Alden and Cam's story!

~~~~~~
The harsh light from the sun blazed down across his back, shielding his eyes Alden turned to grin at his son. The smile was shot right back before the ten year old span on the spot to holler up the hill towards his sister.
“Hannah!” he roared, “Where’s Cammy?”
“Changing Amy!” she shouted back, her voice carrying down the valley easily as she bolted down towards them, slamming into his legs to stop herself before she hit the river itself. “Can I try?”
“If you’re here who’s guarding my picnic?” Alden asked, narrowing his eyes teasingly at the six year old.
“Grandpa.” She shrugged, “He said he’d come get me if there was any robbers.”
Alden didn’t try to fight the grin, his son was powerful but his eldest daughter; she was a miracle. She could do things that he’d only read about and with more ease than Cam when she was making a cake. She once described it as a cough, a short burst of energy; two if she wanted it decorated.
“I liked Grandpa.” Alasdair sighed dramatically, “I wish he didn’t die.”
“He was here far longer than we expected.” Alden shrugged; Hamish had survived three years before finally passing away; the same day they found out about Hannah. “Here, hold tight.”
Hannah eagerly took the fishing rod in her hands and whipped the tackle into the river, instantly Alasdair pulled his out with a fish on the end. “Thank you!” he grinned dropping it into the bucket. “You scared them over to me.”
With a satisfied smile, Alden sat down behind them. All his children took after him, which was very handy as Alasdair wasn’t Cam’s. They were Morgan’s after all and that’s all that mattered.
Cameron grinned as she walked into her bedroom; her husband was already in between the sheets having already put his eldest two to bed while she worked on their youngest daughter. Emitting a long sigh, she let herself fall onto him, resting her chin against his shoulder as he laughed, the deep voice filling her senses.
They’d been together for eleven years, but it felt like forever.
“Today something amazing happened.” She murmured, nuzzling the duvet that covered his chest.
“Really?” he asked, moving her hair gently away from her face. “What?”
“Can you remember when I told you about my death?” she whispered, hating to remember those pain filled days. “When I was saying there was an angel waiting for me, a little girl in a field and you said it sounded like Broughton Castle?”
“Yes.” He laughed, amused she’d remembered it at all… but then he’d not forgotten it either.
“It happened today, I was warm and sun was shining and there was a beautiful angel waiting for me on a blanket.” She grinned, looking up at him as he smirked. “You knew didn’t you? You git.”
“When Aunt May told me we would have had a daughter and the fact Broughton is my escape place.” He laughed, pulling her back down against his chest. “I wanted you to have your own piece of heaven too.”
“How does being thirty eight feel?” she asked, pressing a kiss to his collar bone. “Grand Master.”
“It feels good.” He smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist and slipping them up her top. “How does being Mrs Grand Master feel?”
“Meh.” She laughed as his hands disappeared down her skirt. “How’s Al?”
“Happy, exhausted.” Alden grinned, “You know I love you even more because you love him.”
“Alden, so soppy.” She teased, kissing his lips softly.
“How did my baby go down?” he asked, unclipping her bra.
“With a fight.” Cameron laughed, “She’s eighteen months old; she’s not going to be easy but she did have a huge grin on her face.”
“Good.” He growled, slowly removing her clothes. “I’m going to put a huge smile on her mother’s face too.”
“Are you now?” she laughed, pulling herself away from his arms.
“Dad!” the call went up as Alden groaned. “DAD!”
“I’ll go.” Cam smiled, “I’m more dressed.”
Grabbing her dressing gown and walking quickly into Alasdair’s room, Cam popped her head around the door and smiled. “You’re Dad’s in the shower, can I help?”
“I just wanted to tell him I love him.” He mumbled, blushing.
“He knows.” Cam grinned, walking in to tuck him in tightly. “And he loves you too, we saved him remember.”
Alasdair grinned, “That we did… Cam, do you love me?”
“Of course, you’re my son too.” She grinned.
“But my mum hates you.” He frowned.
“I know.” Cam smiled, “But I love you anyway; you’re epic!”
“She said Hannah and Amy aren’t my sisters, that they’re my half-sisters.”
“They technically are your half-sisters.” Cam sighed, sitting down. “But it does mean when either is being embarrassing and annoying when you’re older you can blame me and walk off.”
“True.” Alasdair giggled.
“Did you have a good day?”
“Always do… I’m exhausted.” He yawned.
Cameron smiled and kissed the top of his head. “Nighty night Al, I’ll send your dad in before he goes sleep… though you’ll probably be asleep.”
“I’ll tell him in the morning, he always wakes me up.” He smirked, looking just like his father. “Night Cam, love you.”
“Love you too.” She smiled, closing the door and going back to her room.
“Is he okay?” Alden asked, grabbing her as he entered the room.
“Just wanted to say he loved you and then asked you not to wake him up and he’ll tell you tomorrow.” She grinned as he frowned.
“You were in there longer than that.” He stated, pulling her skirt off.
“We had a little chat.” She shrugged, “I’ll tell you when you’re less distracted.”
“Okay.” He grinned, pulling her against his nude body.
