QUINN'S P.O.V.

"So this is the first time he cheated on you?" My mom asks me after I finally explained to her what happened.
Not like I had a choice when she came and sat on my bed saying she would not leave until I talk to her.
"Yes."
"I think you need to talk to him and forgive him."
"What! Just like that mom? He hurt me!" I look at her as if she's crazy.
She sighs.
"Quinn I love you but you are in the wrong as well. Has it occurred to you that he has been acting out because you havnt been honest with him? He wants a child and thinks the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with does not want his children? How would that make you feel is you wanted children and Ethan made you feel as if he didn't want to have kids by you? I am not saying he is right for what he did, I am saying you are also accountable for this situation." She lectures.
But I can't even get mad because she is right. I never told Ethan the truth and he just started assuming stuff and now here we are.
"But mom even if I forgive him, I don't think I can trust him again. He cheated on me." I look at the ground.
"And you lied to him Quinn. Look, you cannot trust humans, because no one is perfect. It's like when I let you guys go to parties when you were younger. I never trusted you or your brothers to not drink, not smoke, not follow the crowd, not have wild sexcapades, not drive safely...you get the point. I trust God Quinny, I trust him to watch over you guys, I trust him to keep you safe, I trust him to guide you all, help you make the right and wise choices, because if I trust you guys or humans in general, I will be disappointed more than I would like to be. Do you get what I am saying? People will always disappoint you, so trust God instead." She pats my knee. "Now Preston is a nice young man, but I think you need to make it clear to him who you want be with." She winks, kiss my cheek and leaves closing the door.
"Oh life!" I sigh leaning back on the bed and grabbing a pillow hugging it.
I hear my door open but not really in the mood to talk anymore I close my eyes.
The bed then sinks to my right and I feel someone throw their arm across me and a familiar smell hits my nostril.
My eyes pop open and I turn my head to the right knowing that flowery Marc Jacobs smell anywhere.
"Rae!" She smiles at me sadly and I start to cry all over again.
"Hey! Its going to be ok." She pulls me closer and hugs me. "I'm here for you Quinn, whatever you need. I promise it's going to be ok." I took comfort in her words and whisper "ok" even though I know she couldn't hear it.
She pulls back wiping my tears and brushing my hair out of my face. "Get dressed, I'm taking you somewhere."
"Where are we going?" I ask her, I mean she just got here and the only place I want to go to is wherever Ethan is so I can know he's ok.
"Just get dressed, I'm going to go check on the kids, your mom is spoiling them with cookies." She gets up and walk to the door but stop before leaving. "Oh and did I mention that you have three hunky men in your kitchen!" She fans herself. "If I wasn't married mmhhhmm Cairo coul-" I threw a pillow at her and we both laugh as she dogged it behind the door.
"Nice to see you smiling sis!" She laughs before closing the door.

Ethan's P.O.V

"Mom calm down and let Dr. Rhodes do his job!" Bryce snaps at our mother who is hovering over me and crying.
"Argh!" I grunt as he wraps my bruised ribs. Thank god that idiot didn't break my ribs. Well as far as the doc thinks, it's not broken but he doesn't know for sure since I refuse to go to the hospital.
"I just can't believe Quinn would do this to my baby." She sniffs.
"Mom Quinn didn't do this!" I yell. Yeah I'm mad that she ran into the arms of another man but I did cheat on her.
Damn! This is just really messed up. And then she took his side.
What kind of love is that? She clearly doesn't love me! That explains why she didn't want to have my child, was so quick to leave and is now in the arms and defending another man over me.
I push the doctor back and get up off the couch in the living room where Bryce had laid me. Most of my bruises had already been cleaned by the doctor and my ribs wrapped.
"Ethan! Sit down, you are in no condition to be walking!" My mother argues but I ignore her grabbing my shirt of the door walking away.
"ETHAN!" Bryce yells but I ignore him as well.
I stop for a second leaning on the wall to catch my breath once I am out of their sight. The room is spinning as the pain raidiates through my ribs and head.
I take a deep breath and push off the walk to keep going once I hear footsteps approaching. Trying to hurry I bump someone and look up to see its Evan coming from outside.
He looks at me and then frowns deeply "man, what the hell happened to you?" He asks.
I look him up and down analyzing how we are really twins, we are both disappointments. I shake my head "I could ask you the same thing!" I retort after looking at his face that Bryce battered.
"So you got jokes?" He starts to get angry. Seriously? I don't have time for this.
"Whatever Ethan?" I spot Bryce's car keys on the entry table and move as fast as I can too after hearing Bryce and our mother arguing drawing closer.
I take off out the door, hopping down the steps knowing that I would need to get some serious pain killers later once the once the doctor gave me wore off. Thank god I snatched the bottle he had off the floor when I took my shirt.
Walking to Bryce's car, I pat my pocket to ensure that I have my wallet. It would be crazy to take off to no destination with no cards or cash.
I think Shantel made the right decision, why stick around when the person you love don't loves you back and you feel like a disappointment to your family?
I think I need to step back as well and work on myself.
I'm setting Quinn free because even though she doesn't love me, I love her and I don't want to keep hurting her. She deserves better and if the guy who she let almost kill me is the one for her even thought I started the fight out of jealousy, then I wish her all the best.
What's the point? I fought for her and she went with him.
I can't keep someone who doesn't want to be kept.
When two people are meant to be together, no time is too long, no distance is too far, and no one can tear them apart.
This is second time that Quinn and I have been torn apart.
The first time I let her go and thought, if its meant to be it will happen. That maybe we weren't meant for each other then but we're meant to be in the future. So I let faith decide. And then I got her back and I so believed it.
But I lost her again and I see faith is playing a game with my heart because when I love I love hard.
Now I'm thinking faith just meant for Quinn to be apart of my journey, but faith didn't intend for her to stay.
Screw faith and these wicked games, I though as I hit the gas accelerating, the adrenaline taking over and temporarily numbing my pain.
