Sienna's POV:
I raise my head when I hear the door close.
There's silence for a while then a loud sigh follows.
"Hello, people who do not live here."
Cheryl walks into the kitchen looking at us with an unimpressed expression.
"Hello." Kane.
"Hi." Me.
"Wa-ssuuup." Dom. I sigh.
"I don't remember giving a key to any of you," Cheryl states.
Dom gasp and looks at me. "Not gonna lie girl I would be offended. You are her bestie and you don't have keys? Ouch."
Cheryl rolls her eyes and I shrug my shoulders. "To be honest it's smart for her to not give me keys."
"How did you even get in here?"
Kane answers, "Your mom is an angel. Truly."
Dom nods and smiles. "She let us in. She's so cool why didn't you say that?"
She gives him a flat look. "You never saw her before that's why I'm confused about how she let you two in."
Kane and Dom turn to me. Busted.
Damn, if they had to cover up a person they did fail horribly.
"That would be me," I say. "I was with them and she let us all in without questions."
Cheryl rubs her temples and murmurs something along the lines of 'killers have easy access to this house'.
"So you all came together?" She lifts a brow.
"It wasn't planned." I shrug this time with one shoulder.
"I texted to our group chat and we kind of got together cause we were all bored." Kane simply explains.
"You were bored... So you came to my house?" Cheryl asks in disbelief.
"You got it right." Dom flashes her a smile.
"Without my knowing," Cheryl adds with a glare.
I play with my necklace. "You are in the group chat so that's your problem you didn't check." I look up at her.
She groans. "That's dumb logic."
Dom grins. "But now you know and we are already here so you don't need to read all of those texts."
Kane cringes. "Yeah, it's a pretty long conversation."
I snorted. "I don't think it can even be considered a conversation."
Cheryl shakes her head not wanting to hear more and takes her time to collect her thoughts. "So what do you plan to do?"
"I don't know but I still can't get over how cool your mom is," Dom speaks up.
"So I heard," Cheryl mumbles under her breath. "Why do you think that?"
Dom grins. "She has freaking vitiligo! That's so cool!"
"I knew it." Cheryl once again mumbles.
Who's going to tell her we can hear it? I know I won't.
Kane casually spoons his cereal and eats. Cheryl turns, just now realizing he is eating.
"Is that my cereal?" Her jaw now hangs low. She didn't think we could make ourselves more at home than we already have.
Kane gives her a look, his spoon with cereal freezing mid-air. He looks at the box and when he sees his answer he eats the cereal on the spoon. "There's no name." He points at the box.
She takes a seat, blown away by his answer.
"I'm speechless."
Dom laughs. "Well, you took long and we were hungry."
"We?!"
"Your mom was really nice she said we can take something if we are hungry." I smile at her. "And we did. But Candy Cane here has a bigger appetite." I look at Kane.
He hides his small smile behind his spoon and shakes his head. "I'm still growing I need this. Food is life."
Dom nods. "True." He goes to stand most likely to grab something to eat. Again.
"Don't you dare. Sit down." Cheryl commands and surprisingly he listens.
"Bossy."
Cheryl throws him another glare.
I watch her for one more second before speaking up. "What got you this angry?"
There's a scoff beside me. "Angry? That's not the right word." I look over to Dominic.
"Don't piss her off more than she already is."
Cheryl waves her hand. "Teachers make everything seem stressful and dramatic. And I hate that. Like, give me time for choosing a college. How am I supposed to know what I want to do my whole life? I'm fucking immature for this." She throws her head back in frustration, sliding down in her seat.
There's silence but Kane breaks it when he slurps the milk out of the bowl.
We look at him.
"Anyways..." Dom starts. "I'm waiting for our final game. There should be like coaches from colleges to choose someone they would give scholarships to. Hopefully, they won't be blind and see my great potential." He smirks cockily.
Kane shakes his head and smiles, done with his bowl of cereal. "How nice we still have a year." Kane shoots me a smile.
"You two will be bored without us."
I snorted. "In your dreams."
Kane pats Dom on his shoulder. "I think we will manage."
Cheryl smirks, her smile growing. She hides her silent chuckles behind her fist.
They move their attention to her. Dom looks at Kane at the same time Kane looks at Dom. Both of them having a silent conversation. Which assumably means 'she's not okay' and 'you figured it out just now?'
Yeah, something like that.
This just makes Cheryl laugh more and louder.
"What is so funny?" Dom lifts his brow.
She shakes her head. "You two are just conforming to what Sienna assumed about you."
Now even a second passed and their eyes are on me. Oh well.
I give them a 'what?' stare.
"What did you assume?" Kane slowly says.
Cheryl calms down a little bit. "The first time she saw you two. That means after we were assigned the project. She thought you two were... A couple."
Dom gasps and turns his body to me.
"I thought you were gay," I reply flatly. He gives me a look.
"You thought we were gay?" he asks disbelievingly.
"In my defense, you and Candy Cane here spend so much quality time together and you just gave off a vibe of a couple." I retort sarcastically. He gives me a deadpan look.
"I'm not gay." he grits out.
I look at Kane. "Well, he is suspiciously quiet."
Dom frowns and looks at Kane. "He isn't."
"Unless I'm right..." I smirk. "Don't worry I won't have anything against you being gay."
Kane chuckles but shakes his head in disapproval. "I am not."
"You're in denial."
They both give me a flat look. "If anything it's called bromance." Dom corrects.
"Call it whatever you want," I reply sarcastically.
Cheryl laughs.
"Whatever." Dom dismisses. But then he nearly jumps in his seat when the realization hits him. "I almost forgot!"
He catches my and Cheryl's attention. "On Friday night you will be wearing my jersey."
I scrunch my nose. "I'm not wearing your sweaty jersey."
"Neither am I," Cheryl adds.
Dom groans. "They will be new. Kane already has mine."
I look at Cheryl with a smirk which she mirrors.
Dom spots this and groans even more. "Bromance! It's called bromance!"
We laugh. Kane joins the conversation after cleaning the bowl he had cereal in. "Dominic wants you to wear it so he can brag around he has a fan club."
He glares daggers at Kane. "It's not like you will be calling out my name or holding signs with my name... Unless of course, if you want I won't stop you..."
Cheryl smacks him on the back of his head. Dom lets out a yelp. "Abuse! Abuse!"
"We are not wearing your jersey. That's final."
"We will see about that."
☆ ☆ ☆
Bitch.
It's Friday. I'm at the game. With Kane and Cheryl. All three of us wearing jerseys with Dom's number.
I did not put it on willingly. And I will be petty for it.
Dominic fucking tackled me on the floor when I was going to the bathroom before the game. His only advantage was he got me by surprise and that he is fucking big and heavy. When he pinned my arms he dragged his jersey over my head and then through one arm at a time.
One thing he forgot about was my legs. And let's say they slightly kissed his junior.
Then he was the one on the floor crying his precious jewel is broken and his future kids were dead.
How sad. Truly.
Somehow among the standing up and watching him cuddled into a ball on the floor, I forgot about the jersey. It wasn't until Cheryl pointed it out. I decided to leave it on when I saw Kane and Cheryl had it on. At least we would be 3 idiots and not only me.
And now we are sitting on the bleachers while Dom has a stupid grin on his face. I smirk when I see him limping. Oh, I got him good.
Half of the game is already over. "What even is going on?" I ask.
Kane laughs. "You are asking that now?"
I shrug. "I thought I would figure out the rules by myself."
Cheryl snickers. "Well, you see, there are quarterbacks and receivers--"
"Who?" I cut her off.
Kane starts to explain the rules and roles to me but after 5 minutes he is still talking. "I didn't ask for full terms and conditions."
They laugh. "I don't get it either. Only some things," Cheryl says.
We continue to watch and chat. From time to time Dom waves at us with a big smile.
"Look Dominic is no longer limping. So it wasn't that bad after all." Cheryl comments.
I snort.
They side-eye me. "What did you do?"
"Me?" I innocently flatter my eyelashes.
They give me flat look.
I sigh. "I may or may not have kicked his... no-no zone."
Cheryl breaks laughing.
Kane shifts uncomfortably in his seat. "That must have been a solid kick if he was limping."
"I don't know he had tears in his eyes."
Cheryl calms down. "The tears surely weren't from happiness."
"Maybe he is kinky."
They break out laughing once more.
After the other half of the game when I finally knew a thing or two it was over. And our team won. 9-31
We wait on Dominic to come out of changing room. When he finally comes of course smiling like a fool he bows in front of us. "Yeah yeah, ladies please one at a time. I can give you autographs." He jokes.
I glare at him.
"Congratulations." Kane does the bro hug thing with Dom.
"Was it worth it?" I motion to his crotch.
He hides his 'jewel' with his bag. He eyes me before answering. "Maybe."
"Okay children calm down." Cheryl steps between us. "We won! Let's celebrate that!"
We laugh.
Dom walks with his bag still in front of him. "Let's go!"
