Prismarina Headcannons:
> Trans Fem.
> Is actually a siren. (Not the half human half chicken kind.)
> Despite being a siren she worked with a group of pirate bounty hunters for a while.
• after getting kicked out she stumbles upon a group of pirate's and they take a liking to each other. Pris has her eyes set on finding her fellow water witches, or at least a group like the frost or storm witches to help her get stronger. The pirate's agree to take her in their ship as long as she uses her magic to help them with their next bounty hunting job and in general. She agrees, but ends up staying longer than she expected. At first it was because she got cold feet and was scared of rejection from the other witches. But as she put off leaving she grew more and more attached to the pirate's. And ended up staying for about a year and a half, before truly commencing her mission.

Bertha Headcannons:

Mini theory / theory update!:
╔⏤ ⏤ ⏤ ╝❀╚ ⏤ ⏤ ⏤ ╗
So you know how Pris (Prismarina) keeps getting posesed? And, you know how I proposed in a previous chapter that Bertha had also been posesed? Well I'm here today to offer a little bit of an update on that theory, and to explain how I think this all connects into my original theory. So let's dive in (Pun intended, I'm not sorry.):
If you've watched Prismarina's p.o.v to completion as of right now (which would be episode five as that is the latest one) you would notice that when Pris gets posesed green smoke and agreen glow start to appear. But, you may not have noticed that Bertha is almost always there before that possession starts and when it ends, or at least one of the two.
Which to me means one of two things. One, it's all a coincidence and I'm reading to far into it. (Rather likely, but... this is Pris we are talking about.) Or secondly, it's not a coincidence and Bertha has a big, rather overlooked part in this equation.
It is my belief that the aforementioned demon (see chapter called "▪︎○°●《Who it Bertha? (WitchCraft SMP)》●°○▪︎") is trying to find a new host in Prismarina. And that Bertha is starting to gain control again, and the demon knows it.
That could explain why Bertha is becoming more active and seems to become nicer, especially with Pris. All of it because the original Bertha is starting to battle of the demon better. And sometimes even gains full control, free of the demon.
But unbeknownst to Bertha the demon saw Pris as a worthy candidate, and when Bertha won, it simply took a break to go whitle away at Prismarina. That way it would have two possible candidates, two options in case one failed.
And so when Bertha comes close enough to Pris the demon makes the switch, and starts its wicked scheme, take control of the powerful and emotionally exposed Prismarina, destroy her relationships. And take her to the top, watch as she becomes Supreme Witch and then take full control. Using the power it just gained from Pris it would resolidify its control on Bertha and rain supreme. Truly unstoppable, having control over the Supreme Witch and thus a ton of power, and one of its biggest threats.

Bertha and Esmay character updates!:

Esmay:
Appearance - She has very wavy mint green colored hair, with some natural blue highlights. It extends to about the middle of her back. Zer eyes are a deep pink that turns lighter towards the center.
Esmay has a mixed skin tone but it's more on the lighter side. She also usually wears long flowing cloaks, and swishy skirts underneath. Almost always with some sort of flowery sweater or shirt. Altogether, she's rocking a cottage core aesthetic, with some dark academia or gremlin core when zhe feels like it.
Personality - Esmay is a very ambitious person, and stubborn as well. Meaning, if she sets her sights on a new goal, there is no way in heck she'll give up. Even if the flipping sun was about to explode. But even with zer determined and stubborn tendencies, that doesn't mean she's not a fluf ball in her own right. She's actually very kind and empathetic, and tends to be outwardly caring towards those she actually cares for.
She doesn't have many friends but is extremely close to existing ones. (Used to be the other way around.) Esmay's very shy around those she doesn't know or very loud, there is no inbetween for her. (This is because she's usually scared around new people. And either let's others do the talking and sinks into the shadows; or is still scared but wants to impress these people, and thus goes all in.)
She's kinda protective of Bertha and other close friends and would die for them, even as an outsider you could see that. (Mostly Bertha tho-) While she sertainly has her struggles with belittling her own needs, she doesn't take it to its extreme. And looks out for herself when it's really needed.
You might think that Esmay would probably be the parent friend, in wich case you would be wrong. She's actually the gremlin, the racoon friend or the chaotic ray of intensly focused sunshine if you will. She tends to stick to more traditional humor, and doesn't really use sarcasm. But does use her fair share of dark humor. (Jeez- apparently I had a lot to say on her personality.)
Prounouns - she/her/zhe/zer
Powers - Mainly a sonar Witch with elusion spells as well.
Family - Lives with two dads, Blair (he/it) and Jackie (he/him). As well as her twin sister Lizzie (she/her).
Role - Chaotic Good/Chaotic Nutral. (First main character.)
Identity - Trans Fem Lesbian. (Aro spec.)
Interests - Really likes Biology (deep sea marine biology being a favorite) and the science behind magic. As well as learning how the magic systems work. Also likes making multivers style stories with self inserts. (Bertha often bets in on the action, and the two often play dnd.) Esmay also likes learning about the the political side of the magical realms, but not as much as the other things. (Also bees, bees are cool, you can make a lot of puns with them. I will be taking no further questions.)
Goals (what she wants and things she likes or is good at.) - One of Esmay's deepest and most outwardly expressed goals is to make it onto the Great Witches junior advisory council, and maney aventualy become the Great Witch herself. Also likes Biology and is good at science. Zhe's also decently charismatic and determined.
Deterances (things that she hates and are stopping her.) - Easily overestimated, and it takes a lot for her to truly commit to something. And she feels rejected easily. But won't give up on something of zhe's got her eyes on it. Even if it'll have her killed. Puts to much into everything she doesn't need to, and not enough into what really needs it. (Or at least she isn't able to meet expectations.)
Age when story starts - 15 years old. (Just turned 15)
Other stuff:

> Very good at music, and loves it. (Plays violin and Flute. And likes pop-rock the best genre wise. Favorite song is blow my brains out.)

Bertha:
Appearance - They have a slightly grown out bob haircut. It's a bit shaggy looking though as Bertha doesn't know what to do with it at this length. Underneath they've had it dyed purple blue and pink so you one could see it when they move around. (Their hair coulor is actually black, but it looks a bit blue due to the contrast and effects of the dye.)
Bertha has one blue eye and one green eye, but the both look a bit turquoise. Especially around the edges. They tend to wear sweaters and more comfortable things, but accompanied by some fancy things as well. They also wear a lot of little trinkets like Scott or Shubble. And generally they tend to rock the dark academia style.
Personality - Bertha has lower empathy than Esmay but is still very caring and kind. However, they don't show it all that much. Or at least not he same way Esmay does, in an outward and easy to see way. And They tend to show that they care in smaller ways, like they remember a lot of things about how you like things done and you interests. Or make sure to special things for you.
Bertha also tends to be quite, and not have a ton of opinions. But when they do Their very passionate and express those opinions strongly. Although they are quiet they do love talking about zeir hyperfixations and those of Esmay as well.
They use a lot of sarcasm in their humor a lot and will never cease to make bad puns. Bertha has a tendency to give away himself for others if that makes sense. Focusing to much on other people that they lose themselves. Changing small parts of herself to hopefully be liked better by others, and so somewhere along the way they lost themselves. And is still finding its way back.
But even with that in mind they still manage to assume the role of the chaotic older sibling friend. Bertha keeps their chaos a little less dramatic than Esmay does, but rest assured that they have at least four p.ans for world domination. (Also their kinda always tired.)
Prounouns - any/all pronouns, but prefers they/them.
Powers - Light witch with a talent for space magic as well. And a knack for curses and things like that that isn't something to be scoffed at.
Family - Has five siblings; Leslie (she/her) (15), Spring (he/she/zem) (13), Tempest (he/him) (10), Curent (he/they) (14) and Kenedy (they/them) (18).
Bertha's parents, Kimberly (she/her) (48) and Solace (he/they/it) (46) are divorced. But, good at co-parenting and still friends. Bertha and their siblings spend one week at each parent's house and just keep rotating.
Role - Chaotic Nutral or Chaotic Good.
Identity - Genderfluid and panromantic. (Ace spec.)
Interests - Really likes art and space. Also has an interest in sociology and anything related to the brain. (Why? Because I find it interesting and if I'm doing research for this book I'm using this as an excuse to look into that type of thing.) Bertha also likes making stories and drawings about them a lot, particularly high fantasy ones with more gruesome elements. Or ones involving a big multivers (courtesy of Esmay). If all else fails for them and Esmay the duo would totally make a graphic novel.
Goals (what they wants and things he likes or is good at.) - Honestly she just wants to see Esmay happy. And mabey become and artist. They haven't really figured themselves out yet. Mostly they want to see those around them happy before they focus on themselves. Mostly because others are what make them happy most. They are however very intelligent and can worm his way into a lot of good opertnities because they are a good listener and very observant. (Paired with Esmay's charisma they've got extra points on that category.)
Deterances (things that she hates and are stopping them.) - Bertha has a weak/weird sense of self and falls victim to manipulation a lot. Followed by the fact that their moral compas is pretty much "It's not completely horrible and it makes this person I'm close to happy, so let's go ig?". And it has very strong opinions, their not gonna have a fun time. (Also they have a bad memory and can't focus, because I can't do those things either and now Bertha has to suffer.)
Age when story starts - 15 and a half. (ish)

Look at you! You made it to the end of another one of my stoopy theory/headcanon chapters! I'm curious and utterly flabbergasted as to why you keep coming back, but thank you. I know that some of these headcannons are a little dull or of but I hope you liked them, and the additional insight and information on Esmay and Bertha. (I hope to have the first chapter of their short story out soon.)
