*Val POV*
"We're here!" Skul murmurs. I nod, opening my door and walking up to the front doors of the sanctuary. Skul takes my hand as we walk in, knowing I'm thinking to much to realise we're I'm walking. He only pities you. I get lost in thought, not realising we were already at the meeting. "Come on val..." Skul whispered, kissing my cheek. He leads me into the meeting, filled with many mages. All the Dead Men and Monster Hunters are here. "Welcome Detectives! Please take a seat." I zone out......
*Skulduggery POV*
As soon as she sat down I knew she zones out. I was worried about her. She hasn't been the same lately. It's been 4montjs since we got together and slowly she's gotten really depressed again. Everyone's worried. Half way through the meeting she starts shaking. The room is warm. "Val? Are you ok?" I ask, quietly. She doesn't respond. I turn her to face me and notice she's still zoned out. "Val, please! Focus...." I whisper, desperately. She doesn't respond. "Skulduggery is everything alright?" Ghastly asks, concerned. I shake my head, not taking my eyes off of val. Dexter walks over and softly shakes her. "Val?..." He asks softly. By now everyone's watching. Tears start to drip down her face as her eyes cloud red then back to brown. "What's going on?!" Dexter yells, frightened. The dead men rush over and take a look at her eyes. I feel something drop on my leg and I look down. Valkyries digging her nails so hard into her palms that their bleeding. "Val! Stop!" I yell. She doesn't respond. "Move!" I order, taking Vals form in my arms. "Call Kenspeckle!" I snap. Anton nods, pulling out his phone. By now everyone was whispering and watching , intently. I quickly carried her down the hall, towards Kenspeckles. I pass Tanith, going toward the meeting. "What happened?!" She snapped, upset and confused. "I-I don't kn-now" I stutter as sobs start to rack my body. She follows me helpless, towards the medical bay.
