if someone were to tell fifteen-year-old l/n y/n that in thirteen years' time she's going to be marrying an executive from a criminal organization that helped her company blossom into what it is now- she's gonna laugh at your face of course.
'my company asking for help? that's absurd.'
well, it seems that the young manager needs to bite her tongue right now- seeing as she is in the wrong this time.
maids ran around the room attending to guests, seeing to it that the venue is perfect and that everything is in their top shape.
to sum it all up- the place is as lively as it could be.
well, that's just in the perspective of her (e/c) eyes- peering out of the window as her bridesmaids were busy being primed and prepped for this joyous occasion.
the young woman couldn't believe it, of course, almost laughing to herself the moment that she woke up today because of how her handmaids told her that it was actually her wedding day.
who would've thought that l/n y/n- the bridesmaid, was now the bride?
for the past eleven years or less, she was always the bridesmaid watching at the sidelines as her friends met their happy endings- thinking to herself that the only thing that she's marrying was her company itself.
and now that the day had finally arrived for her to walk down that velvet aisle that she had always dreamed of- she couldn't help but nearly cry at the thought.
the window that she was standing at cast a clear reflection on what she was wearing- like it was something off of a fairytale.
it was the same gown that she and kokonoi had bought a year ago for their jokes and giggles, but now that she's wearing it on this special day- it now served as a different meaning for them both.
and although they made some slight alterations to it to make it look more fitting- it still had the same flowy gown and the same lace and embroidery that it originally had.
in the eyes of her bridesmaids and friends, she looked so much like a princess.
"are you nervous?"
her eyes looked to the side and saw f/n cradling her year-old baby- a smile on her face as she took the spot beside her long-time friend, both of them peering down on the mansion driveway as they waited for the carriages to come pick them up.
"i am... but i'll get over it, hopefully." the two of them shared a chuckle, sighing as the make-up artists finally called for the bride to get her make-up and hair done.
everyone parted to make some sort of walkway as some of the bridesmaids helped on lifting the long train up to make it easier for the young manager to walk to the area.
the artist gave her a smile before they began dolling her up.
y/n requested that they do something natural looking- not wanting to go over the top because of how much of a pain it is to remove it afterward.
with her eyes closed, she relaxed as her hair was beginning to get styled- mind wandering off to bask in her final moments as being just
l/n y/n.
she can feel each stroke of the brush as they painted her face with different shades of brown, gently gliding it on her (s/c) skin like a painter with their masterpiece.
as if she was made of porcelain- they took their time on creating a wonderful artwork out of beauty products and painted it on her delicate skin.
and in what felt like forever, they stopped on their ministrations as every bridesmaid there is flocked over to the young woman with a look of awe stretching their features.
"you look like a real princess now." her (e/c) eyes landed on the lavender-haired woman standing next to her that was on the verge of tears.
"come on luna... that's a bit too much don't you think?" she chuckled, albeit caught off guard at the looks that she was receiving.
a gasp was heard from the crowd before they all heard the mirror being wheeled towards them- f/n holding onto the fragile glass as she stationed it right in front of her.
"it's never too much! in fact, you're more than a princess!"
y/n stared at her reflection with wide eyes, mouth slightly agape as her sight trailed all over her face- this was her?
this beautiful woman wearing white... is her.
her (h/c) hair was neatly done in a low braid, some strands cascaded down the sides of her face and framed her beauty perfectly.
the artists really did a good job of making her look all-natural- not too much glitter all over her face that perfectly accentuated her natural flawless glow.
and me oh my- she looked all beautiful in that dress of hers now that she was all prepped.
the white mark on her shoulder was covered in a layer of foundation, the tattoo that she had removed was still visible to the naked eye so she had it hidden with make-up.
l/n y/n felt... beautiful to say the least.
everyone awe'd when they saw the teary look that she had, going up to her for a hug as they told her encouraging things.
"you're beautiful."
"he'll love it."
if words could only describe what she was feeling right now, then she would've had an essay prepared right now.
she sniffled, laughing at herself as she carefully wiped under her eyes to get rid of the tears that were starting to well up.
"it's just... it's a dream come true."
a knock interrupted their little moment, heads turning to the door to see l/n f/n and m/n standing there with a smile on their faces.
her parents looked at their daughter with a mix of awe and delight- the time for them to finally witness her walk down the aisle has arrived, and god help them because they felt like bursting into tears right then and there.
"y/n... it's time." f/n said, gently coaxing his daughter to follow them out and into the carriage that was waiting for them below.
the bridesmaids gave her reassuring smiles, guiding her out of the room as their heels echoed inside of the mansion and out of the large doors where a stallion and a carriage were waiting for them.
"the bridesmaids go first, load the first two carriages, and head to the venue. y/n will follow suit."
m/n instructed, guiding the girls off to their designated coaches as the young woman listened to the galloping of their horses disappear into the distance.
a gentle hand placed itself on her back, eyes looking at her father who gave her a smile.
"let's get you to your husband, shall we?" her mother joined their side, each hand held into theirs as they finally entered the elegant coach wide enough to fit her dress and parents inside of it.
with a tug at the reigns, they were finally off.
y/n watched as the mansion grew smaller and smaller as they made their way to the dandelion field where the wedding was taking place.
this is it- the moment you've all been waiting for, the holy matrimony between kokonoi hajime and l/n y/n.
everyone ushered down as the sounds of the stallions began growing closer to the venue, standing up as all of them waited to welcome in the bride that they were all excited for.
silk ribbons lined the chairs, floral bouquets of (f/flowers) and chrysanthemums decorated the entire aisle as dandelions were held in between the guests' fingers.
the smell of both floral and fresh peaches gave the venue a soothing atmosphere as the first carriage came to a stop.
and as if on queue, the wedding band started playing the lovers oath that they were commissioned to make for this special occasion.
mitsuya luna and mana were the first to exit, hands holding onto a basket filled with dandelions as they scattered the small wishes down on the red, velvet aisle.
their mother came out next, holding a bouquet of flowers as she followed behind on her previous daughters.
the next carriage came up, f/n and mai leaving the coach at the same time as the raven-haired woman held the same bouquet while the former assistant was holding onto her child- it's a sight to see honestly.
and the last to leave the coach was sanzu haruchiyo's wife.
as they watched the bridesmaids parade down on their (f/c) gowns, everyone paid close attention as the extravagant coach finally pulled to a stop- doors opening to see f/n and m/n walking out, hands clasped together with their daughter's shaky ones.
eyes watched in awe at the sight of y/n, a smile on her face as her parents supported her either side and slowly walked her down the aisle.
(e/c) eyes scanned the crowd with her heart beating erratically inside of her chest, meeting with lilac ones that she had once known and grew to admire.
mitsuya takashi gave her a supportive smile, standing on a random row as the guests started blowing on their dandelions to welcome the bride.
y/n looked in front of her to see kokonoi hajime with the sweetest of smiles on his face, trying his best not to tear up as sanzu gave his friend a big and supportive grin.
it felt as though time has stopped when she reached the foot of the aisle, her parents handing her off to the man that she's about to call her husband.
her fingers tugged on his suit, making the silver-haired man look down in confusion but still bent down to hear what she has to say.
"i'm home... finally."
dark eyes looked down at her with a shocked expression, before it melted to a look of pure love and adoration.
kokonoi looped an arm around her waist and guided her towards the small platform with a smile on his face.
"welcome home."
my mother once told me that it'll always feel like home in the arms of the person you love...
it didn't feel like it with takashi but... it felt just right with the man standing next to me.
