'Gods, Jacaerys, have you really done it yourself?'
There was an awe in her gaze, when Aelina examined the table that was fully decorated with foods and candles, the perfect romantic picture. And Jacaerys was smiling proudly, chest being a little bit puffed.
'Of course.'
She laughed, closing the distance between them in two wide steps, instantly kissing him on the cheek, and then, lips. He hummed in hers, throwing his head higher, squeezing her hips in a familiar gesture.
'I know you don't have favourite dishes, and so I decided to cook a lot of different ones. Maybe, you could find yourself the favourite one.'
'Oh,' she muttered dumbly. 'You can cook!'
Her maximum abilities in cooking was always firing the dead animals, and it hardly was considered to be an everyday food, unless your name was Cregan Stark. As a princess, Aelina was always served by maids and the best chefs. She thought it would be the same for Jacaerys.
'I don't usually cook, but today is special occasion, and–'
Aelina silenced him by kissing with even more force than before. Jacaerys stepped back a little bit, before sitting on the table, hands on her collar as Aelina leaned even closer, caging him.
'Maybe you should take me instead of this food,' He whispered breathlessly, eyes lit with hunger.
Aelina gulped. Then, with an unbelievable amount of abstinence, Aelina didn't know she had, she slightly pushed him away, straightening her back.
'Maybe later, hm.'
Jacaerys easily returned to his previous mood, with a little smile and soft expression. Standing back on his feet, he quickly pulled out a chair for her, gesturing to her to sit.
'Of course. Please, my Queen.'
'Thank you, my King,' she rolled her eye, settling comfortably, with Jacaerys in front of her.
It was a while since they had a normal date, both being too busy with new amounts of work and responsibilities. It was so tiring, that even when they tried to spend some time together, they always ended up just sleeping. That is why it was nice that they actually managed to get away from duties for a while.
'Do you have any plans on–'
Before Aelina finished her sentence, the door cracked open, letting Lucerys inside, who was peeking with curiosity at them.
'Oh, aunt, Jace! Great!'
Jacaerys's smile fell, and he glanced at his brother, a little bit annoyed.
'Luce. What's wrong?'
'Nothing, nothing, just wanted to talk a little bit, you know!' He hurried to the table, unceremoniously taking a seat in the middle of it, between his brother and Aelina. 'My, so much food... I'll take this plate? Thank you.'
If it wasn't Lucerys, Aelina would be so mad for interrupting them.
'So, how is everything doing?' He asked, clearly not noticing the dead stare his brother sent him across the table. 'Oh! Aunt Aelina, I heard you were at Tyrells yesterday! How did it go?'
'Luce, I think you are a little bit–'
The sentence wasn't finished, words stuck in Jacaerys's throat as they met puppy eyes, staring at them pitifully. And even worse? She, too, was absolutely weak before
'It was fine,' she replied to him fastly, hitting Jacaerys on the leg under the table. 'Nothing too serious. Simply discussing something. Tell us about your day, sweet boy.'
'Nothing too exciting! Though...' He stopped, putting a fork in his mouth. Excitement left his face as he grimaced, spitting out the food. 'God, what a clumsy thing cooked this?'
Jacaerys groaned, head falling on his locked hands. Aelina desperately tried not to laugh, listening to how Lucerys started to complain vigorously, having no idea whose cooking it was.
Well. Things happen! They can have a date on another day.

'How is she going?'
The fingertips caressed Maevrina's scales softly as Aelina pressed her cheek to her jaw, feeling hot breath on her face. Jacaerys squatted from behind, examining dragon's eyes, skin long healed, yet eyes forever missing.
'Give her some time, it was only a year,' Aelina mumbled protectively. 'But she is better. And she started to move more, relying on her ears only.
And she spoke the truth.
Yesterday she was surprised by the sight of Maevrina, moving by herself, without a single command or help from her rider, something she hadn't done since the end of the war. It meant nothing for others - it is not like they flew somewhere like this, only walked - but Aelina was proud of her nevertheless. Her brave friend.
'Oh, someone is definitely going to be the first blind warrior dragon ever alive!' Jacaerys exclaimed, patting Maevrina lightly, offering her a smile. 'The best dragon for the best rider in the whole Seven Kingdoms.'
Maevrina let out a strange and inaudible sound, making Aelina chuckle, her own hand covering Jacaerys's.
'Though, I would like to ask Maevrina's permission to take her rider on the little trip on Vermax. Hopefully, it is okay and I will not offend your feelings.'
Aelina shook her head, amused.
Oh, how she liked it, when Jacaerys spoke with Maevrina like this, lacking the usual fear and coldness people usually had for her.
'Oh, you are planning something?' Aelina asked, when Jacaerys took her hand in his, kissing the back of it.
'Since our last date was rudely interrupted, I decided to try again, but somewhere, where no one can bother us. Therefore... Do you want to go for a little ride, my dear hawk?'
Gods, finally!
She nodded eagerly, rising back impatiently, dragging him to where Vermax should rest, muttering a quick goodbye to Maevrina. Jacaerys only laughed at that attitude, following her with the biggest smirk on his face, clearly satisfied. But when they went to the west part, they were met by Aemond.
'Sister. Jacaerys. Planning on the road?'
'Mhm,' Aelina answered.
'How great. I was planning to take Vhagar on the ride... But as she needs a little bit of a challenge from time to time, I was searching for someone to offer a race. And here you are.'
Aelina glanced at him expressively.
'Maybe, you can race with Jacaerys later.' She said, hoping that Aemond will understand her hint.
'What, is your boy scared?'
'No, because we are...'
Jacaerys furrowed.
'Why should I? I would win anyway.'
'Go on. You can try.'
Aelina groaned, looking at them with unhidden disgust.
First of all, Vhagar will win. And secondly, they will not have a date today. Again.

'I am really sorry for the last time,' Jacaerys sighed, hugging her from behind, arms wrapping around her neck. 'But you know, your brother has this... This face.'
'What face?' She huffed, not tearing her glance away from papers. 'The one that is hard to resist?'
'The one that you want to punch.'
Aelina pursed her lips, trying to suppress the laugh.
She knew that feeling, though in her opinion the owner of the most punchable face was always Aegon, not Aemond.
The sudden memory of him brought the nervous itch down her throat as she instinctively reached for the little necklace with the red ring on it, a small memory that Aelina took from her brother's dead body.
'I have the offer you can't ignore, though,' he muttered in her cheek, tip of his nose buried in her temple. 'Very tempting one.'
'Oh?' She said, putting her signature on the monthly report. 'Surprise me.'
'You. Me. And a picnic.'
'With your terrible cooking again, love?' Aelina joked, turning her face a little bit to his side.
'No,' he rolled his eyes.
Admittedly, it looked good, his cooking. From the first glance, at least. But it wasn't as alluring as it looked, a terrible taste on the mouth staying for hours. It was nice of Jacaerys to try, but, well... She should've known better that Targaryens can't cook for shit.
'Hm-m, and the dessert of the day?'
'Oh, for me it's always you.'
She kicked him slightly, a warm laugh tickling her skin.
'Fine, I bought a banana cake?'
'Mhm. Satisfying.'
He slowly dragged her chair back, simultaneously taking away from her hands papers and feather. Aelina didn't protest, instead, raising on her feet slowly.
And then the door knocked.
'Jacaerys, little niece.'
Aelina glanced at her uncle, who stopped in the doorway, arms folding on the chest.
'Knew that I will find you here. There is an execution on the main square. I will be the one to publicly torture him. Want to help a little bit, niece?'
Aelina felt the excitement filling her quickly as she almost jumped on her feet from this suggestion. It wasn't even the fact that she will torture someone - it was nothing new or special, tortures being her usual activity after the ending of war, a lots of traitors, who chose Aegon suffering - but the fact that it was her uncle, who asked her assistance.
Gods, Otto always said that Daemon was insane when it came to tortures! And he was right!
'Sorry, father, but we are kind of bu–'
'Of course!'
Jacaerys cast her a betrayed gaze.
'Good. I am waiting for you at the gates. Don't be late.'
The door closed behind Daemon, and Aelina smiled sheepishly.
'Aelina...'
'Sorry, love. Your father has this... Face.'
'The one that you want to punch?' He sighed.
'The one that you cannot refuse.' She chuckled.
'We are even now, I guess...'

The allies were dark, a little bit foggish and blurry. The weather was almost too unusual for the capital that nowadays was filled with sun. Aelina would spend some time enjoying the view if she only wasn't in such a hurry.
'That is a bad idea.' She heard Jacaerys muttering.
Aelina huffed, fixing cap, turning to her lover a little bit, an amused smile appearing on her face. Gods, he looked funny with this hideous cloak!
'Trust me, me and Aemond used to mask ourselves among common people all the time. It works.'
'I was mostly talking about having a date among brothels and taverns...'
'Our family interrupted already six of our dates,' Aelina reminded him, making her way in the streets, knowing every inch of it. 'It is, presumably, the only place when our seven attempt to have a proper date wouldn't be ruined by them.'
'...Fair point.'
Though, they weren't even sure it would work.
They stopped in front of the big wooden door, Aelina knocking on it lightly. Firstly, they heard some noise, and only then the voice, loud and clear:
'What is the weather outside?'
'Satisfying enough not to carry an umbrella with you.' Aelina answered automatically, a secret cipher stuck in the head over the years.
In the next seconds, the door was already wide open, revealing a young man - dark locks reaching slim shoulders, a sly look and a gracious smile:
'My precious madam Aelina.' He bowed lightly. 'Even with such metamorphosis, you are still shining with the same vibrant sense of power. Long time no see.'
Aelina remembered fucking with him against the wall somewhere in his brothel, but clearly not his name. She grinned, trying to look as usual as possible:
'My dear boy. Flattering words will bring you nowhere. I am here with a friend.'
The man examined Jacaerys carefully, and hummed - Aelina tried not to seem amused by the hit of jealousy that seemed to combust from him in every moment.
'He has a pretty face.' Her past interest sighed dreamily. 'Can I join you?'
'He has a nice tongue as well.'
'No.'
Both of these answers left their lips at the same time, Aelina and Jacaerys exchanged awkward glances. Then, coughing, she continued:
'So, do you have a spare room for us?'
'For you, the goddess of my muse, everything.'
Aelina felt Jacaerys's teeth grinding, and the grip on her hand became stronger. She couldn't help but snicker at this - being jealous of a whore, that was something new.
'Thank you. I will make sure to pay you later.'
'Ha! Good.'
When on the next morning, Ilis - he heard his name accidently, when they were getting into room - why they were so quiet and how Aelina made him scream desperately in their past times together, Aelina firstly took some time to calm Jacaerys down, saving him from the title of Mr. Breakbone, and secondly she tried to come up with the less honest answer, because, honestly, explaining that they were simply reading books together was embarrassing.
But... At least they had a date, right?
A/N: Posting today instead of yesterday, because had a little trip and couldn't edit the chapter.
I hope you enjoyed this funny silly chapter, because we are getting back to angsty extras, LMAO.
