"Tey-Tey." Wednesday Addams called from the bathroom of their shared dorm with Enid. She had felt a little self-conscious about how the uniform made her look, but she decided it was worth having her twin's thoughts on it.

"Yeah, Nessy?"

"How do i look?" Wednesday asked as she walked from the bathroom and into the main area, wincing a little as she watched Hecate frowned and place her hands over her stomach and putting her weight onto one leg.

"You look like you're attending a funeral. As a school girl." A slight smirk appeared onto Wednesday's face at the compliment she received by her sister.

"Good." She said before raising her head slightly. "Now i must say goodbye to Mother and Father."

"And Pugsley." Hecate added as she looped her arm with Wednesday's, the dark haired girl surprisingly didn't argue. In truth, although Wednesday would never admit it, she rather enjoyed her sister's company. The bubbly laughter, soft smiles and the general opposition to how she herself acted.

It was like yin and yang.

When together, they were balanced.

~~

"Look at you, my little deathtrap." Gomez said to Wednesday as he made quick steps to meet his daughter half way. He awkwardly reached around and placed his hand on her shoulder, knowing she didn't like hugs. "Seeing you in this uniform brings back so many terrible memories."

As Hecate rolled her eyes at the rememberance that her parents preferred Wednesday to her, she made her way towards her brother.

"Sup, little man?" She asked as she gently punched his arm. The boy winced and rubbed the area she hit before smiling at the girl in the white uniform.

"I'll miss you." He told her in the sweet voice of his, and Hecate pouted.

"I'll miss you more." Her voice was soft and as she held her arms open to allow Pugsley to hug her, he gladly accepted the invitation. His arms wrapped around her stomach tightly, his head pressing into her shoulder as he willed himself not to tear up. "I'm sure Wednesday or Mother and Father have told you this, but now me and Nessy aren't there, make sure you stay strong and don't show bullies your emotions. That's how they get to you."

"I'll be strong." Pugsley promised before begrudgingly breaking away from his sister.

"Why don't you boys wait in the car?" Morticia Addams suddenly said which caught Gomez's and Pugsley's attention. "Wednesday, Hecate and i need a moment."

"Me?" Hecate questioned, pointing at herself before looking around as though her mother was talking about someone else. In her defence, her mother hadn't really included her much. Not when Wednesday was in the picture.

Before he got into the car, Pugsley walked up to Wednesday and gave her an unrequited hug.

"Pugsley," Wednesday began which caught the boy's attention. He moved away from her and stared at the dark haired girl in slight confusion. "You're soft and weak. You'll never survive without me. I give you two months, tops." Hecate did have to give Wednesday that one, because whenever Hecate wished she could harm those that bullied her brother, Wednesday continuously reminded her that their parents had forbidden her from using her magic at those schools.

"I'm gonna miss you, too, sis." Pugsley said, a little disheartened by Wednesday's comment. Sometimes, the younger boy wished his older sister would act like Hecate a bit more. Gentle, soft and kind.

"Any plans you have of running away end right now." Morticia sternly told Wednesday whilst slightly glancing at Hecate. "I've alerted all family members to contact me the minute you darken their doorstep." Morticia then glanced away from Wednesday's cold and piercing eyes. "You have nowhere to go." She whispered.

"As usual, you underestimate me, Mother." Whilst her arms were crossed over her stomach and her eyes hadn't torn away from her mother, Wednesday continued to glare. "I will escape this educational penitentiary, and you will never hear from me again."

"You are a brilliant girl, Wednesday," Morticia sighed and Hecate pursed her lips a little, loving the inclusion her mother had of her, "but sometimes you get in your own way. I'm sure you'll grow to love Nevermore...and find it as life-changing as i did."

"I should go." Hecate mumbled before she swiftly took her leave from her dark and glum family. She knew Morticia had no more words for her. In fact, she had none at all to begin with.

Hecate barely got to the entrance before Wednesday called out for her. Turning her head, Hecate saw that her parents had driven away from the school and it was just her and Wednesday now. The golden haired girl sent a small and sad smile to her twin before holding the door open and waiting for her to catch up.

"What did Mother have to say?" Hecate asked once Wednesday caught up and the pair began walking towards their dorm.

"She gave me a necklace. Said it conjurs visions." Wednesday replied as she held the talisman up for her twin to see. "All it conjurs is an urge to rid my stomach of its insides."

"Ever so cheerful, Nessy. Be grateful Mother gave you something." Upon Hecate's rather sad and unusual tone, Wednesday looked to her sister with a small frown.

"You didn't get given anything?"

"Nothing but looks of disappointment."

~~

"What the hell did you do to my room?" Upon hearing her best friends voice, Hecate quickly turned and dropped the plastic tints that had been on the whole window originally. But not anymore. Wednesday was crouched down, removing some of the last pieces of tint as Enid walked into the room.

"Enid-"

"You let her?" A look of betrayal flashed in Enid's eyes and Hecate looked down in shame, guilt filling her soul. Before Wednesday answered Enid she took a glance at Hecate, who was looking at her feet with a frown.

"Dividing our room equally." She then stood and gently nudged Hecate to get her to stand out of the way. "It looks like a rainbow vomited on your side." She told Enid as she passed the girl by on her way towards her desk. A new desk had, in fact, been added to the room so that Wednesday and Hecate had seperate working areas.

"I-"

"Silence would be appreciated." Wednesday immediately said as she sat at the desk, wiggling her fingers a little and prepared to write some of her novel. "This is my writing time."

"Your writing time?" Enid practically scoffed and Hecate wanted to run away. She could tell that Enid was finding it difficult to like her sister, of which Hecate couldn't blame the werewolf for, but still...did it really kill to have a bit of silence?

"I devote an hour a day to my novel." Without even missing a beat, Wednesday spoke once more, "perhaps if you did the same, your vlog might be coherent. I've read serial killer diaries with better punctuation."

"Oh, snap." Hecate whispered, placing a hand to her mouth dramatically at the roast her sister sent to Enid. When said girl glanced at her, Hecate was quick to look away and whistle, as though she hadn't said anything.

"I write in my voice." Enid argued, feeling a little attacked by Wednesday. "It's my truth. It's what my followers love." By now, Wednesday had turned in her little swivel chair to face Enid and partly Hecate.

"Your followers are clearly imbeciles."

"Alright, no need to attack me like that, Wednesday." Hecate said with a feigned hurt expression. Yes, she followed Enid's vlog. Only because she was a good friend and definitely not to get the gossip on people.

"They respond to your stories with insipid little pictures." Wednesday carried on as she stood to her feet and walked towards Enid.

"Uh, you mean, emojis?" Enid asked with a smug smirk, knowing she had a little superior knowledge to Wednesday. "It's how people express their feelings. You know, I realize that's a foreign concept to you."

"You wrong." Wednesday said, glancing at Hecate. "The only emotion i feel that is, as you'd say, positive, is the love i hold towards my sister."

"What?" Hecate whispered, her eyes widening as the realisation sunk further into her soul. Her sister did love her.

"However," Wednesday loudly said as to stop any talk of the confession she made, "when i look at you, the following emojis come to mind. Rope, shovel, hole."

"Wednesday-" Hecate said as she took a step forwards and grabbed her sister's shoulder.

"By the way," Wednesday shook off Hecate's hand and turned, heading towards her desk. "There are two D's in Addams. I'd have figured you'd known since your buddies with Hecate. If you're going to gossip about us, at least spell our names correctly."

"You gossip about me?" Hecate asked with a hurt tone and expression. In truth, Hecate didn't really follow Enid's vlogs since she knew Wednesday was coming to Nevermore in fear that the girl would, indeed, do what she had done. Gossiped about not only Wednesday...but her, too.

"No, Hattie-" Enid went to argue, but Hecate shook her head and - like an emotional teenager she was - walked out of the room with tears in her eyes. Wednesday gritted her teeth in slight anger. She hated seeing her sister upset. She wasn't used to it.

Hecate was cheery and smiley and bubbly, unlike herself. However, as a peppy pop song began playing she felt her toes curl in disgust.

"Turn that off." She demanded, but Enid continued to dance along to the music she liked in hopes she'd piss off the girl in front of her. "This is your final warning." Wednesday told Enid as she strode up to her.

"Rawr!" Enid said playfully, allowing her multicoloured claws to come out. "Don't mess with me. This kitty's got claws and i'm not afraid to use them."

~~

As Hecate left the room as swiftly as she could, she bumped into Ms Thornhill along the way.

"Good evening." Was her short greeting before their paths crossed and they had passed each other by. Hecate shrugged off the weird vibe the teacher gave off as she kept walking. She didn't plan on stopping, not until she was knocking onto the door.

"Xavier?" Hecate called as her fist came into gentle contact with the wooden door of the boy's dorm. Why was he the first person she went to when she had tears streaming down her face and betrayal in her heart?

"Hecate?" Said boy gruggily questioned as he opened the door.

"Oh, i-i'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you-"

"You didn't." Xavier assured, opening the door wider so that the girl could step into the room. He noticed the tears that ran down her face and he got a little on edge. "Why're you crying, Catie?"

"Enid..." Hecate trailed off, shrugging. "It's silly to get upset about it, but...Enid gossiped about me and Wednesday on her vlog. I can understand why she'd gossip about my sister, which still doesn't feel great, but why me? I thought i-i thought i was a good friend." As a sob wracked the girl's body, warm and strong arms wrapped themselves around her, slowly allowing her to sink to the floor. "The first friend i-i get and she gossips about me. What gives? What did i do wrong?"

"Nothing." Xavier said in a soothing voice as he rubbed circles into Hecate's back. He suddenly didn't like Enid too much. Not after seeing how hurt his friend was by her actions. "You didn't do anything wrong, sweetheart." The name slipped from his mouth, but as he felt Hecate grip him tighter in the hug he couldn't help but feel like it gave her a little more security that he wasn't going anywhere had she feared he would.

"Thank you, Xavier." She said quietly as she gently pulled from the hug and wiped her cheeks and eyes. As she did this, the boy couldn't help but think she looked adorable. "You mean a lot to me." She then yawned and stood shakily, her eyes not opening.

"Catie?" He questioned with worry, but as he saw the girl sway slightly he was immediately on his feet and gripping her shoulder with his hand. "Would you like some help?" Nodding her head, Xavier wrapped her under his arm - to which she wrapped her arm around his waist - and the two began walking back to Ophelia Hall.

"Why are you single, Xavier?" In all the conversations the pair had shared over the two weeks that Hecate had been there, and although Hecate knew why he was single she wanted to know why he hadn't gotten a different girlfriend. He was more than capable of doing so in her opinion.

"You know why-"

"No, i mean, why are you still single?" Hecate asked, her eyes being downcasted to the floor. "You could probably get any girl in the world-"

"And yet there's only one i want." He said as he stared directly at her - without her knowing - and smiled a little. However, as he noticed she began looking up at him, he tore his gaze from her.

"Bianca?"

"Hmph, definitely not." He said, scoffing a little, but a smirk found its way to his face as he knew he wouldn't tell her. Not yet.

"Then who?" At her curiousness, Xavier couldn't help but see her as a cute puppy. You know those that tilt their cute fluffly little heads when you say something they can't quite understand?

"That's for me to know and for you to...maybe find out."
