Y'all I've had this specific chapter planned since before writing this book, meaning OVER A MONTH. do you know the pure RELIEF I feel now that I've finally written it?!?!

Also I'm depressed and writing about Fugo makes me happy

~~~~
Fugo's POV:
I couldn't get Caryna out of my head. There was something about her that just wouldn't let me rest. It was unsettling, knowing that I'd probably have to see her again. I mean, what if she hurt someone I care about?
That's why I had to find them again. I had to get back to them before it was too late. I needed some money for travel, so I had to borrow some for now.
I was walking along one of the busier streets in Naples. I figured they'd be somewhere further up north, so money was needed. A lot of business-men passed by me, so it wouldn't be hard to get a hold of someone. I'd just pretend to walk into them, snatch it out of their pocket and apologize as I did so. It would be easy, I'd simply distract them.
I noticed a specific man walking straight towards me, and I got my aim ready. If I just pretended to look the other way, he wouldn't even notice. I looked to the left as I leaned to the right, 'accidentally' walking into the man. I stuck my hand down his pocket.
"Ah, my bad, I wasn't watching where I-" The man grabbed my arm, twisting us both around so we faced each other. His dark eyes weren't that magnificent, but they were impossible to miss. I'd never forget the determined look in his face. I'd always know it was him, no matter what stupid hat he wore.
"Yo, Fugo! Been a while, hasn't it?" He asked as he gave me one of his usual grins. I sighed in relief, even though I never thought I'd do so in his presence.
"My favorite gunslinger, Mista. How are you?" I asked out of consideration.
"Not bad, not bad... Hey, do you mind coming with me? I think we need to talk." He said as he gave me a wink.
"Sure, I was actually thinking about coming back. I understand if you don't want-"
"Shut up, you piece of molded cheese. Of course you'd want to come back to us, but we have some things to do first. Let's get going." Mista led the way, as we walked to a car on a nearby street. He urged me to get in, refusing to let me know where we were going. Things suddenly got a turn for the better.
~~~

We drove for about 20 minutes, to a large house on the countryside of Naples. Cars were lined up in front of it, and the garden was more beautiful than anything I had ever seen. The sun was setting as well, so the view was gorgeous.

Then again, I had seen it before. Just not in this good condition.

"Ah, home sweet home." Mista took a deep breath as he stepped out of the car.

"I've missed this place, quite a lot actually." I admitted, but Mista wasn't listening. He was already on his way inside, so I ran after him. When we got inside, we stopped for a second.

"So, Fugo... Some quick info."

"...Okay?"

"Almost everyone's out on missions at the moment, but they'll be back within a day or so."

"Mista, for the love of Satan, I think we missed a few chapters."

"Huh?" He let out as I sighed.

"How is everyone? What happened to Trish? Did you defeat the boss? Most importantly, is Y/N okay?"

"Oh, you're worried about Y/N, got it. Well, we defeated the boss. Giorno became the new boss as his stand became nearly invincible. Long story, I'll tell you later. We all work as his most loyal team, working harder than we have before. Either way, Trish ended up joining us since she turned out to have a stand. What else, uh..."

"Wow, okay, slow down... This is a lot of information. What about Y/N?"

"Oh, wanna see her?" My heart skipped a beat. See her? Right... now?

"Wait, really?" He began walking up the stairs, and I followed eagerly.

"Well, the thing is... Ever since we got back, she's been out on missions nearly every day, and has to go on another one pretty soon. Though, she won't be gone for long. I'd suggest letting her sleep and saying hi to her before she leaves. She really needs the rest."

"Oh, I see... Then where are we headed?"

"You'll see..." I noticed the smirk he tried to hide as he opened a door to a room. It was pretty dark inside, but the sunset shone through the blinds, tracing small circles on the face of Y/N. She was laying on a bed, not even being tucked in under the covers. She looked so relaxed, so... Beautiful. I could barely take my eyes off of her. I wanted to cover her with a blanket, and give her forehead a kiss.

"Mista..." I began, and he looked like he was about to joke around. "I feel like a creep watching her."

"Don't worry, we'll sign some papers while we wait for her to wake up." He spoke in a whisper to not wake her.

"Hold on a second..." I looked back to her, only now realizing why she wasn't tucked in. "Mista, why is she sleeping on my bed?"

"Don't get any dirty thoughts now." He said, but I couldn't argue against him before he continued. "We only had two spare rooms. Giorno took one, obviously, and Trish took the other. We offered Y/N this room or to share with Trish, and she chose this one for the time. I remember it clear as day, she said that she'd give it up the second you came back too... Hey, are you blushing?" He was right, I felt it. I was blushing. But I couldn't help it! I was watching Y/N sleep on my bed, the same bed I've been sleeping on. She's in my room, on my bed...

"I-I'm fine! Let's go sign those papers..." I walked away, but I heard him chuckle from behind me.

~~~
"So, you promise me I'll get to see her before she leaves?" I asked for the millionth time.
"Relax, Fugo. You'll see your girl the second she wakes up." He assured me. There was so much I wanted to ask her.
And I wanted to apologize, for leaving her.
"Alright... So, the papers? What do I need to sign?"
"Ah, right. Giorno has kept a lot of things, but there are a few things he's decided to change as well. Like this," He handed me a paper. "you need to sign this to get back into the organization. It's basically a contract. Since you technically left us once, even if you didn't leave the organization, this just means you'll not work alone for a while. You'll always be with someone to make sure you're doing everything you should be doing. Easy, right?"
"Well, I guess it's reasonable. I have been gone for a few weeks now."
"Exactly, so you'll work with at least one other person, and you'll have to follow slightly stricter rules than the rest of us. This won't be forever, but just until we know we can trust you. I mean, we do trust you, but it's rules."
"Don't worry, I understand. I don't mind either way, I'll do whatever I can to prove myself." I grabbed the pencil on the table and signed the paper. I stared at it for a second, feeling a mixture of feelings about this. I was happy, of course, but this anxious feeling in my stomach expanded for every second that passed.
Just as I had returned the paper to Mista, I heard the sound of the door being slammed, followed by a car engine getting started as someone drove off.
"Mista."
"Yes?"
"Was that Y/N driving away?"
"..."
"Was it?"
"Look, Fugo... My man... My friend...
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!"
~~~

Y/N's POV:

I was so tired. I had been on mission every day since we got back, and they didn't get easier. Usually, it was pretty simple. Go in, kill the target, go home, rest and repeat. Giorno had promised me some time off after this one, which I gladly accepted. I mean, after all, I always did my job.

The old me probably would have been surprised that I'd kill someone so easily, but after the events that happened on our journey, that had changed. I didn't mind it, as long as there was a reason for them to die. Like the one I was on my way to kill now...

It was a 28-year old woman named Bella. She was blonde, and apparently a stand user. She sounded pretty basic, and she'd be located near the pier. Since there was water nearby, I'd be able to use Red House and get it over with quickly. Clearly, I always made sure to put out the fires by now.

I parked the car on a street not too far from the pier. I'd be able to sneak up on her without a problem, especially since she was accepting some drug deliveries today.

I walked down the hill to the destination, keeping myself hidden behind objects all the time. I yawned for a second, feeling overcome with tiredness.

Glancing out from the building I was hiding behind, I couldn't see anything. The only thing I actually could see was some grass one the ground, with a statue located on top of it. I felt like the placement was odd, since it was right by all the boats that took the deliveries. Either way, I ran to it, hiding behind it as I looked for the woman. It was getting darker outside, since the sun had set and definitely not as easy to see what was ahead of me.

Stupid as I am, I decided to walk out into the open, but I couldn't see anything. Everything was quiet and still, so I figured she might just have decided to not show up. Then, I heard a sound from behind me.

I turned around, facing the statue again. Weird... I thought I had walked further from it?

I turned back to the water. Geez, it was getting colder as well, I couldn't wait to bring out Red House at this point. Then, another sound.

Turning around again, I noticed it. It was definitely closer than before. What the hell was going on? How could a statue move, unless...

Suddenly, the silvery statue flew towards me, extracting long, sharp claws. I dodged the attack right on time, throwing myself to the right as I landed on the ground.

"Damnit!" I heard from behind a large container. I turned towards the sound, and watched as a woman walked out from behind it. She had blonde hair, and I recognized her from the picture Giorno had showed me. It was Bella, the woman I came here to kill.

"You! I'm supposed to kill you!" I exclaimed as I got up. Her stand moved swiftly and easily scratched my arm, making a deep cut in it. I winced in pain as she approached me.

"Well, it won't take long to get you killed, so I most likely won't need to worry about that." She chuckled, standing next to her stand. "What do you think of my stand, Iron Maiden?"

"Looks hideous to me." I joked. Iron Maiden came rushing towards me, easily slicing up my clothes, arms and legs.

In just a matter of seconds, I had blood dripping from every limb. It was so fast, I didn't even have a chance to react! I stared at the woman. There was only one thing to do. I had to bring her out.

"Fine! You wanna fight? RED HOU-" I felt it. I felt it, just now. There was something on my nose. So small, and innocent, but I felt it. A drop of water. Then another, and another.

It was starting to rain.

"Wha- What?!" I looked up at the sky, getting water splashed in my face. "No. No, no, no, no, no. It can't rain, it can't! Red House uses fire, rain would only put it out..."

I'm doomed. I'm absolutely doomed, and there's nothing I can do about it. I stood there, feeling miserable. Would I seriously loose to whatever this was? Was I gonna stand here in the dark? In the rain? And just perish at the hands of her stand? It came rushing towards me again, slicing me up even more. My clothes stuck to my skin, but they were soaked in a mixture of rain water and blood.

I watched Bella smile and feel satisfied with her win, as I noticed something. There was a fog, a purple fog that slowly surrounded her. A purple virus, that I recognized because I had seen it before.

A Purple Haze.

"Missed me?" His soft voice spoke from behind me. I couldn't turn around. I just watched as Bella melted into a pile of intestines, feeling his presence behind me. He was there, I wasn't dreaming. Purple Haze was the proof I needed, but I couldn't turn around. My tears started to fall, mixing with the rain pouring down my cheeks.

"F-..." I couldn't say his name. I was afraid that if I called his name, there'd be no answer.

"Y/N, please turn around." I did as he told me to, and turned to the man in the green suit. I looked into his sad, purple eyes as he watched me, almost looking teary-eyed.

"Fugo?" I asked, praying to whatever God there was that he was actually here, that he was real.

"I'm back." He said, taking a step forward. I gave in, nearly throwing myself in his arm, feeling my body collapse. His arms wrapped around my body, holding me up as I put all my weight on him. My own arms traveled around his body, hugging him tightly as I closed my eyes.

"Fugo..." All I could mumble was his name, repeating his name over and over until it was the only word I could say. "Fu-...go." I sobbed through tears. I was so relieved, so happy that he was alive.

"Y/N, I'm sorry that I left." I shook my head slightly when he said that, but I'm not sure whether or not he noticed it. My head rested on his shoulder while he gave my back gentle pats, avoiding any cut he'd find. "I really hope you can forgive me."

"Fugo..." I mumbled again. It felt like everything that had been weighing me down lately, struck me all at once. But it didn't matter. It was as if his hold on me kept all those worries away for a moment. It felt like all that pain disappeared for the time.

All that mattered, was that he was here with me.
