"On your knees" Soap and Alejandro pushed Hassan to the ground.
We were in the middle of no where, drove out to a random spot in the desert. It was the best way to keep Hassan unaware of where he was, we had kept him with a bag over his head and locked in a room all of last night.
"Y'all got a clear picture?" Graves spoke in a small laptop propped in front of Hassan, streaming to general Shepard and Laswel.
"Crystal." Shepard replied.
Soap and Alejandro stood near Hassan while Ghost kept his distance. He tended to do that. He stood motionless next to one of the car doors.
I didn't feel the need to get in on the Hassan interrogation, so i sat on the car hood, just trying to get some pressure off of my leg.
"Alright, we are live folks." Graves walked from the laptop over to Hassan.
"Do you speak Arabic?" Hassan asked Graves.
"No."
"Farsi?"
"No."
"Course not." Hassan spoke. "Then i'll speak your bastardized medieval english because you are all uneducated street dogs."
He sure knew how to formulate an insult.
"Ahh see... we're getting off to a bad start here, Hassan." Graves shook his head.
"You are talking a Quds force operator."
"You're the commander of a foreign terror company."
Graves was right. Hassan was just a glorified
terrorist.
I watched as Hassan and Graves went back and forth for a bit until the missiles were brought up. Right, what we're here for. The mystery missiles he was sending towards the U.S. I was eager to see if he'd actually confess but Laswel brought up an important point,
"General, killing Hassan is an act of war, keeping him is illegal. Right now he is too hot to hold."
Shit, she was right. Mexico wasn't at war with Iran. We had no right to hold this man as a hostage. Fucks sake we had already held him for too long, we had to let him go. The only thing we managed to get off him was his phone, which we got a few hits from. A cell tower in Spain, which linked to a hatchery near the coast. As far as i knew Price and Gaz was headed over to figure it out, i still had work to do in Mexico.
Alejandro loaded Hassan back into one of the trucks as Soap put away the laptop. I could hear Graves on his walkie as he got the car ready so we could get rid of Hassan.
I slid off the hood of the car and walked to the side door, which was already opened by Ghost, whom was standing next to it.
"You're opening doors for me now?" I teased.
I slid into the car as Ghost got in next to me. Graves and Soap was taking Hassan while me Ghost, and Alejandro took the other car.
Ghost shut the car door as he got inside. His thigh brushed against mine as i was still trying to shuffle to the seat on the other side. I glanced at Ghost when i sat down and saw him looking at me already, he gaze went to my thigh for a split second before looking away from me completely. What was he thinking?

"La casa de Sin Nombre?" Soap asked.
"No. One of his Lugartenientes." Alejandro replied.
"A cartel Lieutenant." Me and Soap said at the time. I've managed to pick up some spanish while in Mexico.
"Nice. You're both learning." Alejandro looked to me and Soap.
We were across from a big house that was affiliated with Sin Nombre, our next target. We were stationed high and hidden in order to properly scan the house, trying to figure out how we were supposed to infiltrate.
"My sources tell me all the VIPs in Las Almas will be there tonight." Alejandro explained. "Some are invited, some are umm.."
"Voluntold...?" Graves finished his sentence for him.
"Yes."
"What's the meet about?" Graves asked.
"Nosotros." Alejandro replied. "Las Alma's is burning, and they want to know who lit the fire."
"Sin Nombre will be there, yeah?" Ghost asked.
"No guarantees, but this our best shot."
"Then we take it." Graves said. "I got enough shadows here to take over the whole country."
We were all together now in makeshift circle.
"I'd prefer if you didn't."
"I'm just saying...one house shouldn't be a problem." Graves seemed rather cocky.
"We need Sin Nombre alive." Ghost spoke.
He's right. We cant kill the one person that has the information we need.
"Well...then we need to meet him." Graves turned his head to look at the house below us.
"You mean go inside?" I asked.
"Precisely." Graves responded.
"How are we supposed to do that?" I folded my arms across my chest.
"Give 'em what they want, intel. They wanna know who's here, let's tell 'em."
This was bold plan, even for Graves.
"In person?" Alejandro asked.
"Correcto. Get one of us inside, find the boss, roll him up." Graves explained.
"That seems risky." I said.
"It's our best shot." Graves shrugged.
"Then which of us is supposed to do it?"
"Well, i've thought about that." Graves started. "Women are generally seen as more trustworthy, less of a threat, especially to the cartel. It might be better if you did out of any of us."
"You want me to go in there?" I was shocked. "Alone?"
I thought i liked Graves but he had some nerve wanting to send me in a house full of aggressive cartel men, it's a disaster waiting to happen.
"Just hear me out-" Graves was cut off.
"No." It was Ghost speaking now.
"No what?" Graves asked.
"No, she's not going."
I was surprised, Ghost was sticking up for me.
"But-"
"I'll do it." Soap blurted.
"You go in there, and they'll kill you hermano." Alejandro warned.
"I'll take my chances. We came here to stop a missile, let's stop it. "
"You make it in, you'll need eyes and ears. I'll go too." Alejandro said.
"Me and y/n will take overwatch." Ghost said. "Shadow circles the target in a helo."
"Roger that."
"You be safe out there Soap." I was scared for him.
"I'll be fine, don't worry." Soap gave me a smile.
He was gonna be in a house full of cartel that wouldn't hesitate to kill him, Soap was really taking initiative with this. I was anxious just thinking about what could happen.
I sighed as Graves handed him a badge as his form of evidence.
"Call me when you need me." Graves started to walk away. " Alright let's gear up and get after it."
-
We waited until it was closer the night. It was dusk, the sky was a mix of orange and blue as the sun was starting to go down. Perfect timing for us to move.
I was layed down in the dirt next to Ghost, on a small hill outside of the house. We both had scopes to keep a close eyes on the building.
We watched as Soap walked up to the gates and eventually got in, going through a hasty shakedown by the guards. Me and Ghost were his eyes while he was outside, but once he got in there was nothing we could do.
I took a big sigh and readjusted my gun in my hands.
"You alright there, LT?" Ghost asked.
"Just nervous." I responded, looking through my scope and trying to catch a glimpse of Soap through one of the windows.
"Keep focused and it'll be fine."
"Yeah, yeah." I went silent for a minute and so did Ghost.
"I never thanked you for telling Graves no."
"You don't need to."
"And whys that?" I look a break from my scope and looked to Ghost.
"You going in shouldn't have been mentioned in the first place." Ghost voice was hush and breathy.
"Well still, thank you Ghost."
He side eyed me for a moment.
"You're welcome."
