**TWO DAYS LATER**
**RAYNE'S POV**
Finally I'm being released from the hospital. I had to stay 2 extra days so Recovery Girl could come back to do a couple more healing sessions. Now I'm just ready to get to the new dorms and unpack my things. Yagi, Kirishima, and Mr. Aizawa had went and packed my things for me but I insisted on unpacking everything myself. I finished up getting dressed just as a knock came to the hospital room door before it opened. Yagi walked inside in his Small Might form and I smiled.
"You ready to head out?"
"More than ready. I believe I've had enough hospital food to last for the next 2 centuries." I said chuckling. Yagi chuckled as well before grabbing the bag he had brought me with a change of clothes.
We left the room and the doctors and nurses all stopped what they were doing to line the hallways all the way out of the hospital. I really didn't understand why they would do something like that. Yagi and I got into an awaiting car and he directed the driver to take us to UA. I looked down at my new phone that Yagi had purchased since mine got broken during the battle with my father. Class was still going on so I would have time to get everything unpacked and organized before Kirishima came to visit. The car ride wasn't very long and soon we arrived to UA. The car drove through the gates and maneuvered around the main building before stopping in front of the tall dormitory. Yagi and I got out of the car and walked into the building.
"Before I take you up to your new room, let me show a few things. On the ground floor is a gym, a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, entertainment room, and lounge room." Yagi explained as he showed me each room. I really liked the kitchen. It's very big with lots of counter space and appliances. I couldn't wait to cook for my entire class. I might even do that later after I get done using the gym. The last time I worked out was back at the training camp. Yagi led us over to one of 2 elevators and we got on. He pressed a button that would take us to the third floor and the doors closed.
"This elevator is for the girls only dorms. The other one is for the boys. Both wings have a laundry room and mail room on the second floor along with dorms for several teachers that will be staying here." Yagi explained before the elevator stopped on the third floor. We walked down the hallway and each room had the name of a classmate on it along with a number.
"This is your room." Yagi took out a key from his pocket and unlocked the door. We went inside and all my things were there still in their boxes like I had asked. The only things that were set up was my bed, dresser with attached mirror, and desk. The walls had been painted blackThe window had a great view overlooking the main building with the city in the background.
"Each of the dorm rooms have a walk in closet and bathroom. Also here's your key. Remember to lock up before going to class."
"Thanks for everything Yagi." I said with a smile.
"No problem. I've got some work to do so I'll leave you to getting your room how you want it. Just don't over do it. You're still in recovery."
"Don't worry I'll be fine." I said before giving him a friendly hug. Yagi left my dorm room key in the desk before leaving. I looked around at my room. When All the boxes are gone, it's actually gonna look like something other than a storage room. The thought made me chuckle as I sat down at my desk taking my first box to open.
I wiped some sweat from my brow as I finished unpacking the last box. My new room now actually looks like a room. I put up all my posters on the walls, put my clothes away in the closet and dresser, and put up the group picture of Sandy and the kids on my desk. I really need to call her again and let her know what's going on. I sighed just thinking about how that conversation is gonna go. She's gonna be so worried that the villains attacked again, kidnapped me, and then while injured fighting with my father. My body was aching from the activity of setting up my new living space but I pushed through the pain to get things done. I don't want to look weak to anyone. I got up from my seat and decided to check out of the gym. After I got changed into a pair of shorts and one of my work out t-shirts, I grabbed my dorm key and left my room.
I locked the door behind me and took the elevator down to the ground floor. I followed where Yagi had shown me earlier in the day and pushed open the door to the gym. I looked around seeing every piece of exercising equipment that you could think of. I decided to first start with the treadmill. I stepped on the treadmill and put in how fast I wanted to go plus the miles. As the machine started up, I put in my skull candy ear buds and cranked up the music. I didn't get to run very long until my body ached even worse. I stepped off the treadmill and took a seat on one of the benches. My ribs ached so badly with each breath I took. It took a few minutes for the pain to vanish and once it did, I headed out of the gym and to the kitchen to find something to eat and drink. I settled for a simple cup of sliced apples and a bottle of water before sitting down at the long table. While I eat, I'll perform the difficult task of telling Sandy why I haven't spoken to her in 2 weeks. I easily found Sandy's number and pressed the icon to facetime her. The call rang a few times before she accepted the video call.
"Rayne! Finally you call me! I've been texting and calling you for the past 2 weeks. Has the training camp been keeping you from talking lately?"
"Hey Sandy. I'm sorry I haven't called you. I half expected for Yagi to call you." I said as I set my phone up on the large dining table and took a seat.
"Why would he call me? Is something going on?"
"It's a long story." I said looking down at my hands.
"Rayne..what's going on?"
I took a deep sighing breath before telling Sandy what had happened 2 weeks ago. Sandy kept quiet as she listened to me tell her about what happened at the summer training camp, being kidnapped by the villains and finding out my father is the leader, the battle, sacrificing a quirk to beat him, and spending 2 weeks in the hospital in a coma from the injuries I had sustained. I could see the worry etching deeper and deeper into her features.
"Principal Nezu had dorms built for the students to live in on campus because of this second attack on my class. I just got moved in a few minutes ago." I explained finishing my story.
"My God, Rayne! Are you doing ok? What did the doctors tell you when your were released?"
"I'm fine. I'm a bit sore and they said it will take a while before I'm fully recovered. The doctor gave me a paper to excuse me from too much physical activity. Basically told me that I have to take it easy for a while." I said but I don't plan on giving Mr. Aizawa the excuse. I know the pain is pretty intense but I've lost so much time while the class has been able to do so much more training than me. I can't fall behind no matter what.
"I know that's going to be hard for you but you better listen to the doctor. You wouldn't want to reinjure yourself."
"Don't worry Sandy. So what's new with you?" I asked trying to get off the topic of my health. Sandy told me about her day and the exciting new opportunity to move with the kids to another state where they would be treated equally. I was glad for that. Most of them were being bullied and Sandy didn't want an accidental usage of a quirk to pop out. She would be in all kinds of trouble if anyone found out.
While we continued to talk, I got started with fixing dinner for the entire class. It was something I really missed doing. I really missed cooking food for a large group of people and it helps reduce stress. I know my class would appreciate a good meal once getting back from class. For today's meal I decided on making burgers with all the fixings plus homemade french fries. By the time Sandy and I finished talking, the food was done and it was time for everyone to come back to the dorm. I set out the plates, condiments, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles along with the buns and homemade fries on the island bar just as I heard the door open to the dormitory.
"What smells so good in here?" I heard Mina exclaim. I walked from the island bar to the kitchen doorway as I wiped off my hands from washing the dishes to see my classmates and Mr. Aizawa.
"I made burgers."
"Rayne!" Uraraka said with a smile on her face as she rushed towards me. She slammed into me almost knocking me off of my feet. I grunt in pain as she hugged me.
"Kirishima didn't tell us that you were being released!"
"He didn't know. I asked All Might not to say anything about it. Wanted to surprise everyone." I said as she let go of me. Suddenly her face turned into horror. Oh God I knew what was coming next.
"Oh no! I hope I didn't hurt you just now! Are you okay? I heard you grunt."
"I'm fine. I'm perfectly fine. Please go into the kitchen and help yourselves. I made enough for everyone. Even you Mr. Aizawa." I said smiling back even though no one could see it because of my mask.
"You didn't have to cook for us, Rayne. You're supposed to be resting."
"I rested for 2 days plus the 2 weeks I was in a coma, Kirishima. I had to get up and moving." I said as everyone went into the kitchen and starting grabbing plates to eat.
"Are you sure you're feeling fine? I mean I wouldn't want you to overexert yourself."
"I'm fine. Don't worry. Now go eat before the others eat it all." I said nodding my head towards the food.
"Yeah. Come on and let's eat together."
"She'll be there in a moment, Kirishima. I need to speak with you for a moment." Mr. Aizawa commented tiredly. Kiri nodded before going into the kitchen to join the others while I followed Aizawa into the living area. Mr. Aizawa took a seat on the couch before gesturing for me to do the same. I sat down and faced him.
"What did you want to talk to me about, Mr. Aizawa?" I asked.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm doing fine. I'm a little bit sore but it doesn't bother me." I said lying through my teeth. The work out I did earlier wasn't exactly painless.
"That's good. I wanted you to know that I've excused your assignments for the past 2 weeks so there's no need for you to make them up. Also when you come back to class tomorrow...if anyone bothers you about what happened, I want you to come to me. I won't tolerate anyone harassing you after what's happened." That really surprised me. Mr. Aizawa is always this tough, strict teacher even when I trained with him during the internship. This is a whole new side of him that I didn't think existed.
"Thanks Mr. Aizawa." I said nodding my head.
"No problem kid. Next time don't get hurt."
"I won't." I said letting out a small chuckle. Mr. Aizawa then did something unexpected. He reached over and brought me into a hug. At first I didn't know what to do but quickly I relaxed and returned the gesture.
"Now go eat. I'll come down later after I finish my work." I nodded and got off the couch still a bit stunned from the hug I received, "Oh and one more thing. If you ever come to my door hurt again and then don't stay put when I tell you to... you're gonna train vigorously everyday for a month. You understand?"
"Yes sir. I understand." I said nodding. Mr. Aizawa cracked a small smile as he got off the couch and walked away. I shook my head with a small smile of my own before heading into the kitchen to eat with my class.
