"No!" Max shouts, Ava's body now falling to the floor. Max sobs and runs to her, falling on her knees and holding Ava. "Please stay with me! Please!" Max begs and sobs, holding Ava in her arms. Lucas slowly walks towards Ava, kneeling down beside her, a tear visible on his cheek. "Please.." Max pleads, her voice cracking due to sadness. "Max, i'm so sorry." Lucas says sadly, feeling bad for the girl. "She isn't breathing, Lucas, we need to get help! Now!" Max says quickly in response, not wanting pity, just wanting her girl to survive.
"I can't live without her!" She says, looking at Ava's face. Her face looked so peaceful, as if she was in peace before having those fatal final moments. "I cant.." Max says sadly, crying while holding Ava in her arms. Lucas gives Max a few moments to let it all out, a few tears coming out of him as well. Suddenly, a hot flash happens. It worked. Steve, Nancy, and Robin did it. Max and Lucas could hear Vecna's bellows. They did it. Right? But at what cost?
"Lucas!" Max shouts, a couple small breaths coming from Ava. "Ava! Ava!" Max says, crying happily, "Stay with me!" She says, panicking. "Oh, my God." Lucas says, breathing deeply. "Ava." He says, holding the girls arm gently. Ava didn't respond, just breathed lightly, but the breaths were very short, as if there was nothing there. "Ava, please, talk to me." Max pleads, not taking her eyes off of Ava's face. Ava just grunts lightly in response, "I'm so sorry, i should've never let you do this." Max weeps lightly.
"Lucas!" Erica says, running onto the room, about to say they did it, but sees Ava's body. "Erica!" Lucas says, "We need a doctor!" Max shouts. "Call an ambulance!" She pleads, "Hurry! Call an ambulance!" Lucas backs her up. "Max.." Ava mumbles, "Oh my God, yes, Ava, i'm here. Im here." Max says, crying lightly. "I-I cant see." Ava mumbles, blood running down her eyes. "I know, i know. It's okay, i promise, you're going to be okay, my love." Max says, sniffling. "We're gonna get you some help, Ava, okay?" Lucas says, trying to comfort her. "Just hold on." Lucas adds.
"Im so scared- i'm so scared." Ava says, her voice showing fear. "I know, i know." Max says tearfully, "Im not ready to go yet, M-Max." Ava says, coughing lightly. "You're not going to go, okay? Please just hang on." Max responds sadly, trying to hold in her cries for Ava. "I don't wanna go." Ava says tearfully, "You're not gonna die!" Max says, crying lightly. "Just.. Just hang on, please!" She says. Ava breathes heavily, not responding. "Ava? Ava!" Max says, holding the girls cheek.
"No, no, no, Ava. Stay with me." Max says, tearfully. "Stay with me! Please! Don't go, Ava!" Max begs, sobbing. Ava could hear another person crying, "No." That person said. Was it El again? What was she doing there? Ava felt bad, she didn't know her death would affect this many people. She thought she didn't mean anything to anyone. "Ava, look at me, please." Max begs, "No. Stay with me, Ava!" Max says, noticing Ava isn't breathing as much as she was before.
"Erica, help!" Lucas shouts, his voice a bit tearful now, not wanting to watch one of his childhood best friends die in front of his eyes. Max and Lucas both notice that Ava's breathing has stopped, and her face was in one resting position. "Ava?" Max says, holding the girls face. "Ava, stay with me." Max says, panicking, looking at the soulless eyes of Ava's, which used to be so filled with light, but now look so drained. She was so drained.
"No! No! Ava, Ava! Please, stay with me!" Max says desperately, crying hard. "No!" Max wails, screaming out in sadness, letting out an anguished sob. Lucas was crying lightly next to Ava, holding her arm tightly. Then, out of no where, a clock chimes. The fourth chime. Now that Ava was dead, the clock has finally reached its potential. "Max, we need to leave!" Lucas says, sniffling, "I'm not leaving her!" Max says in response, still sobbing.
Then, the floor beneath both Max and Lucas began to tear, Max lifting Ava by her arms and moving her out of the way. The tear leads to Jason, tearing his upper body in half, him screaming in agony. The tear reaches out of the house, all the way to Eddie's trailer, then down further. It reached all the roads, most of the homes, everywhere. It destroyed nearly the entire town, and it all met at one spot, creating a small explosion.
Once the vibrating stopped, Max looked down at Ava, crying lightly, Lucas breathing heavily next to her. "No." Eleven says, voice echoey. "You're not going." She says, reaching her hand out to touch Ava's. "No." She says, breathing deeply. Then, she moves her hand to Ava's heart, closing her eyes, and pulsating her power, remembering every memory the two had ever made. "Woah, is that someone in the woods?" Ava asks Mike and the party, "Hey, don't be afraid, come here." Ava says in a soft voice, convincing El to walk towards them.
"I'm Ava. This is Mike, Lucas, Will, and Dustin." Ava says with a smile. She used to always be so happy. "And you are?" Ava asks, then El lifts up her arm. "Eleven?" Ava asks, El nodding. "Cool, i like that." Ava says, El smiling slightly. "This is my house." Ava says, opening the door for El. "It isn't much, but, it beats Mike's basement." She says, holding El's hand and walking upstairs to her room. "You like that?" Ava asks, noticing El holding a paper plane. "Yeah." El responds, "It's a paper plane. There's something real like these, but they're just called planes." Ava informs, walking beside El and looking at the paper plane in El's hand.
"Keep it if you want, i can make many more." Ava says, smiling at El, whom nods. "I see how Mike looks at you, i think he may have a crush on you." Ava says, smirking at El, "A.. crush?" El asks, confused. "Yeah. It's when.. uh.. someone's heart," Ava says, touching El's heart with her palm, "When someone's heart beats quickly around someone else, and that they want to be around them every second." Ava says, then El smiles.
"Do you have a crush on Max?" El asks bluntly, "What? No way!" Ava responds, blushing deeply. "Does your heart beat quickly around her?" El asks, Ava not responding at first but then nodding. "Do you want to be around her every second?" El asks, Ava nodding. "Crush!" El says, happy for Ava. All the memories showed within El's mind, her using that to make her power go to full extent. "You are not going." El repeats.

TWO DAYS LATER
~~~
It's been less than 48 hours since that's happened, and there was still smoke surrounding the entire town. There were still relationships unfixed, and still sadness throughout the entire town. There were so many deaths, so many innocent lives taken. So many sacrifices. All the buildings were destroyed, and the death of the teens were all blamed on Eddie Munson, but he doesn't deserve to be remembered as a murderer when he died for that town.
"Hey Nance! I found some more of your old stuff in the attic." Mrs. Wheeler says, handing Nancy a box with stuffed animals. "Mr. Rabbit." Nancy says, gasping lightly. "It's okay if you wanna save him, you know?" Mrs. Wheeler says, smiling. "No, he'll be more loved in a new home." Nancy says, picking up the box and setting it in the vehicle. "Did someone order a pizza?" Mrs. Wheeler asks, "Pizza?" Dustin asks, confused.
A pizza van then stops outside of the driveway, revealing El, Mike, Will, Jonathan, and Argyle. Mike hugs his mother, "You are never going on vacation again, you hear me?" Mrs. Wheeler says. "In fact, you can forget about college. You are staying right here." She says, hugging Mike again. As they all make amends, Robin and Steve are sulking on the sidewalk, sitting near the car. "Steve, Ava's going to be fine." Robin says, sad as well, but better at hiding it. "I can't live without her, Rob." Steve sighs, putting his face in his hands.
"Neither can i." Robin sighs, "But i'm sure she'll be okay." Robin says, rubbing Steve's back. "She's a strong girl." She adds, Steve nodding. "I hope she's strong enough." Steve mumbles, sighing. "Where's Max?" Will asks Dustin, "Was she hurt?" El asks. "No. No, she's.." Dustin says, "Oh God. You don't know." Dustin mumbles, El and Will looking at each other blankly.
"He opened his eyes, and further words died in his throat." Max reads, looking at Ava, "He forgot about the need to suck up that horrible parody of wine." She says. "He forgot about his mother, and Uncle Morgan, and his father, and almost everything else." She continues, "Speedy was gone." She continues to read, "The graceful arcs of the roller coaster against the sky were gone." She says. "He could feel the hair stirring on the nape of his neck, he could feel a goofed-up grin pulling at the corners of his mouth." She continues to read.
"'Speedy! I'm here, my God!'" She says, "'I'm here in the territories!'" She continues, looking at Ava. She sees her peaceful, restful face. Max missed her so much. Suddenly, Mike, Will, and Eleven all walk in. Max looks up at them, "El." Max says, smiling slightly. The two hug, Max breathing shakily. "I'm so sorry." El says to Max, Max nodding slightly in response. El looks over at Ava, she was in a full body cast, resting against the bed. On the bedside table, there was the pocket knife, the very one that Max and Ava had. And then there was a drawing on the wall, the same on Max had drawn the night before things went bad.
"Do they know.. when she'll wake?" El asks Max, whom breathes deeply before responding. "No. They say she might not." Max says sadly, "Her heart stopped." Max says, "For over a minute." She adds. "She died. I.. I mean, clinically, but.." Max says, "Then she came back." Max sighs, "The doctors don't know how. They say it's a miracle." She says. Then both Mike and Will look at El, as if they already know what had happened.
El sits next to Ava, holding her hand. "I'm here, Ava." El says, closing her eyes. Then after they all see Ava, Max stays with Ava, and the others drive to Hopper's old cabin. "Oh, Jesus." Jonathan says, the place being dirty. "Holy shit. This place is a total disaster." Mike says, "Yeah." Jonathan agrees. They all look up, seeing a hole in the roof, "Well, that's a bit of a problem." Jonathan sighs.
"I mean, i get we gotta hide Supergirl, but this isn't exactly the Fortress of Solitude, man." Argyle sates, examining the house. "It's more like a fortress of grodiness." He sighs. "Come on, guys, seriously." Nancy says, "I've seen Mike's room look worse than this." She says. "Ah, brutal, dude." Argyle responds. Nancy walks to a sink, and it turns on. "Ah! See?" Nancy says, "Water still works." She smiles.
Then she opens a cabinet, "And, voilà. Cleaning supplies." She says. They all clean the house, Jonathan and Nancy boarding the windows, Argyle grabbing mushrooms from the woods. Both Mike and Will sit down on the couch, talking about things. "Dr. Brenner." Mike says, sitting down, "He says that she wasn't ready." He sighs, Will sitting next to Mike. "And now she's starting to think he was right." He says. "That's crap." Will scoffed
"If it wasn't for her, if she hadn't left the lab, Ava wouldn't be alive right now." Will says, "I know." Mike agrees. "It's just, she's, um.. she's never lost before." Mike says, "Not like this. I mean, she almost lost her best friend." Mike says, "She'll have another chance." Will responds. "Let's hope not. Let's hope One is dead and rotting." Mike says, "He's not." Will retorts quickly, catching Mike off guard.
"Now that i'm here, in Hawkins." Will's voice quavers, "I can feel him, and he's hurt, sure, but.." Will says, "He's still alive." Will says. "It's strange, knowing now who it was this whole time, but.." Will says, "I can still remember what he thinks, and how he thinks." Will says. "If Ava were here, she'd know what i'm talking about." Will says, "She always feels it too." He adds. "He's not going to stop." Will says.
"Ever." He adds firmly. "Not until he's taken everything, and everyone." Will says, "We have to kill him." He says. "And we will." Mike says, "We will." He nods, Will breathing slightly heavy. They hear a vehicle approach, both Mike and Will looking out the window to see a dark blue car. A government looking car. In El's room, El was cleaning underneath her bed.
She then found the Coke bottle, the same one they used when her, Ava, and Max had a sleepover together. She took the bottle and spun it, remembering everything. El closed her eyes and tried to get into Ava's mind, trying to retrieve something from her. El was inside of Ava's mind, and opened her eyes, gasping lightly. "Ava?" El says, her voice echoing throughout the place.
It was pitch black, nothing seen anywhere. "Ava?" El shouts, trying to hear or see something. "Ava!" She shouts louder, walking slowly. "Ava!" She continues, "Ava!" She screams, wanting something, anything. Then the bottle stops spinning, El's trance ending. She shudders, tearing up. El then hears footsteps approaching, afraid it was the government.
Then suddenly, someone walks in. It was Hopper. "Hey, kid." Hopper says, El starts to cry lightly, running to him. "Hi." El says, her voice cracking. Her and Hopper hug, embracing one another tightly. "I kept it open." El says tearfully, "I kept the door open three inches." El says. "I know." Hopper says, chuckling lightly, "I never stopped believing." El whimpers, "Oh, i know. It's okay." Hopper says, happily.
"It's okay." Hopper repeats, "It's okay, i'm here." He says, holding El close. "I'm here." He repeats, the two holding each other closely. "You look.." El says, sniffling, "Not fat?" Hopper asks, making El giggle. "And your hair." El says, "My hair?" Hopper responds, "Look at your hair." He chuckles. "Yeah. I kinda stole your look, kid." Hopper says, "Yeah." El agrees, nodding.
"Well, what do you think?" Hopper asks, "Bitchin'" El chuckles. "Hmm." Hopper hums in agreement, chuckling lightly. They embrace each other again, smiling. Then there were more voices outside, El seeing Joyce. "You aren't the only one that didn't stop believing." Hopper says, El and Joyce hug happily. "I'm happy you went to your.. conference. That was quite the experience." Joyce says to El, smiling.
The government car leaves, Mike and Hopper now talking to each other. "Hey." Mike says, "You've grown." Hopper says. "Yeah." Mike agrees, nodding. "You shrunk." Mike says, referring to his weight loss, making Hopper chuckle. The two then hug, Mike smiling. Will has a weird feeling on his neck, the one he's far too used to. They all look up at the sky, weird particles falling from it.
They all walk out into a field, following the particles. They then see dead and gray flowers, everything dying around them. They also see smoke and red flashes of lightning appear in clouds of smoke in the sky, it coming from the tears. The thunder kept rumbling, almost threateningly. Would things really work out for them? Have they already lost?
