"Princess", A soft voice whispered capturing her attention.
Leah immediately turned around, her hands leaving Grace and she spotted her father along with her Papa and Uncle just beside the base of the staircase.
David stood there with a white bandage around his upper arm. A little blood stained on his vest, a small bruise on the forehead, hair messed up but otherwise fine.
Leah inhaled sharply and broke into yet another run towards her father. She crashes into him with so much speed that the momentum caused David to step back, but his arms went around his little girl.
That was all it took for Leah to break down ultimately stronger than ever.
Her hands were extremely tight around David almost squeezing him too hard. Her body shaking with her cries, face stuffed into his chest and heart pacing in speed.
"Dad!", She cried without a care.
The fear she had felt since the moment she entered the Stevenson house and up until the second she hugged David was unexplainable.
Everyone's eyes were on Leah. Theo's hand pressed Weston's shoulder assuringly who was panicking himself until Leah arrived.
The rest of the brothers all had a pained look on their face watching their sister like that. All of them itched to just pull her into a hug and protect her from everything.
"I-I was so scared! I-I saw blood on the floor! You and Grace were missing! I looked everywhere! The house was in a bad condition! I thought I lost you!", Leah broke down, her legs gave away, her arms leave her father.
She sat there on the floor, her hands covering her face as she pulled her legs to herself in a cocoon. Her body shaking as she sobbed.
David immediately kneeled down in front of her and pulled her to himself rubbing her back comfortingly, trying to not get emotional in order to stay strong for her.
Sebastian was there next to them. He himself had been holding back the moment he saw an injured David in his house. His hand went to Leah's head trying to calm his daughter who looked scared to her wits.
Charlie hugs Grace when she sheds a few tears looking at them. Emmett pats her back gently.
"Shh I'm here. I'm fine princess. Calm down", David said gently, but with full assurance.
He didn't have to ask her to know what she was going through. Leah was always expressive of what she feels, but never had she ever been so emotional to break down like that. It was the first time.
Leah pulled back looking at his face. Her face red, her eyes tired looking and her cheeks wet.
"You're hurt. Bruise on the face and..what happened here", Leah sniffed touching the bandage, a few tears escaping her eyes.
David looked at his arm and then back at her. "It's nothing. I'm fine princess", He said with a soft smile.
Leah frowned wiping her tears sniffing again and again. She looked to her side. "Is he really okay papa?", She asked seriously.
Sebastian nods with a small smile. "A little hurt, but nothing major."
Leah sadly traced the red bruise on David's head with her finger making his face scrunch in pain causing her to retract her hand immediately.
"Sorry", She said softly.
David smiled. "It's okay. Take a deep breath and calm down now. Come on", He said.
Leah takes a deep relaxing breath. Her eyes close as she rubs her hands all over her face and wiping her wet cheeks in the process.
"Come on", Sebastian said getting her to stand.
The three of them stood up. Leah glanced around at her brothers and sister looking at her in worry. Her eyes met Grace first then she looked at second older brothers.
"She's absolutely fine", Charlie smiled softly.
"No scratches nothing, don't worry", Emmett said gently.
Grace smiled sadly seeing how concerned her little sister is for her as well. Leah nods exhaling deeply.
"David come one. Take a seat. You need rest", Sebastian said next leading him to the couch.
James and Chase move away making space for David to sit there.
"God I'm fine. Will you calm down?", David smiled softly.
Sebastian ignored him and sat beside him. He uncapped a tube of medicine in his hand and applied some of the cream on the bruise on David's forehead.
Leah was pulled into yet another hug. She realised it was Rowan and she exhales deeply hugging him back feeling calm.
"He's okay. They both are. Are you okay?", He whispered softly.
Leah nods her head resting on his shoulder.
"Good", Rowan sighs rubbing her back comfortingly.
He released her and caressed her head pushing back her hair with a caring smile on his face.
"Go get some water from the kitchen and grab something to eat please?", Rowan said softly.
Leah nods releasing a shaky breath. She walked away slowly heading to the kitchen, her head down.
Her brothers watch her leave. Wes and Theo immediately follow her.
Leah walked inside the empty kitchen. She headed for the fridge pulled out a bottle of water and slowly drank from it.
Once done she put it away and leaned her hands on the counter, closed her eyes and dipped her head. The pressure she went through was still in her. The effects of it making her feel exhausted.
A hand on her shoulder made her turn. She saw her eldest brothers looking at her with concerned eyes and she teared up immediately again leaning her back on the counter.
She bit her lip trying hard to not cry. But those two could see past her. Weston pulled her into a hug and Theo put his arms around the two.
Nothing had to be said. It was understood.
They stayed like that for a long minute until Leah calmed back down and they pulled back from the hug.
"We know you got scared. It must have been horrible. We get it", Theo said sadly.
Leah nods sniffing. "I didn't- I never thought I'll see this day. God I can't explain you two how much it scared me. Wes, Theo I can't - I really can't see them hurt or in danger. It's so fucking scary", She said shaking her head.
"I felt so helpless. No answers, no idea where they were, the blood- god", Leah breathed out.
Weston and Theo could completely understand what she went through. They have spent ten years feeling the same for each other.
"This is not all of a sudden is it? Luca's men behind it?", Leah asked after a second.
The two brothers sigh deeply.
"Yes", A voice came from the kitchen's entrance.
The three look towards it to see Dean, James and Chase walk in.
"Five men broke into the house and attacked David and Grace", Dean said seriously.
Chase nods crossing his arms. "Who else would it be."
"They came for me, didn't they?", Leah grit angrily.
"Leah", James immediately said in worry.
"No Jamie, let's not pretend. I killed some of their men last time they attacked us. It was clear they wanted me. The remaining came to finish their job", Leah said angrily.
"Then it was good that you weren't there when they broke in", Weston said.
"No it wasn't good. Wes, my father and my sister are outside in a battered condition because they were attacked twice in a week's time", Leah spoke furiously.
All the emotional stuff was over. Now it was time to face the reality and consequences.
"We know- ", Theo began.
"All because of that fucking Armani! He wants me dammit! His men won't stop! They either know those two are my family and went after them or they just found out my legal address and went to my home to get me and my sister and father got caught in cross fire!", Leah grit.
Her brothers knew she was right. They had nothing that could state otherwise.
"What the hell happened there anyway?", Leah asked to no one in particular.
"We sent Sanders to keep an eye on David and Grace. To guard them since the accident", Weston began.
"He was guarding them by keeping low near your house after they returned from work. It wasn't long before he spotted the five men break into the house", Theo continued.
"He informed the base first and went in to help", Dean said. "He found those five tearing the house apart while having Grace and David at gun point. They were probably looking for you in the house", He said.
"Sanders didn't want to risk their life so he hid and waited for a right chance. He knew the base was sending back up. But when one of them took a swing at David, Grace immediately attacked that man with a glass vase injuring him", Chase smiled a bit.
"The blood was that man's", Leah sighs in relief.
Jamie nodded with a small smile. "Yeah, but those guys were pissed off maybe and gonna hurt David and Grace. Sanders decided to step in and shot two attackers on the leg injuring them", He added.
Theo nods. "Yes, and he managed to disarm the other two to make sure they don't use their guns, but the third one was ready to shoot. Apparently David tried to stop him and they got into a brawl. The guy pushed him off and David fell down on the floor, one of the glass pieces cut his upper arm", He explained.
"Sanders fought them off trying to keep them away from David and Grace. It was long enough for our men to raid in and capture them before going back to the base. Sanders drove David and Grace here safely", Weston said.
Leah was shocked by the end. "All of them were caught?", She asked.
"Yup. Can't wait to get my hands on them", Dean smirked.
"Oh they're mine", Leah grit angrily.
James sighs. "No."
Everyone looks at him.
"Leah you need to take a break. God I'm worried about you. Last time you were so angry that you defied Char, Em and Owen and killed those men brutally. I don't want to see that version of you alright?", James said sternly.
Leah sighs. "They deserved it Jamie."
"No doubt they did. But others can handle them. You don't have to become a sadistic person. Focus on keeping yourself safe", James said seriously.
Leah was about to argue but Wes spoke first.
"He speaks my mind exactly Leah. You're going nowhere close to the prisoners", Weston said with a finality.
Leah knew that tone and she sighs nodding.
"Forget about us. Em and Char won't let you go to those five. They are still not over you murdering your attackers last time", Theo stated.
"Fine I won't do anything you don't want me to. But promise me you'll make them pay", Leah said seriously.
Dean smirked. "You know us little sister."
Chase nods. "For once I agree with Dean. David and Grace are family. They can't mess with them and not piss us off", He said.
Leah smiled thankfully.
"Guys", a voice spoke grabbing everyone's attention.
They all turn to look at Brody and Troy standing there.
"Leah David's asking for you. You all should come outside", Troy said softly.
"Sure. Come on guys", Theo said gesturing for everyone to go.
Leah takes a deep breath before she followed them all out. Just as they leave the kitchen Brody waited for her and walked along with her outside.
"You're okay right?", He asked.
Leah nods with a small smile. He sighs.
Once in the living room Leah looks at David. Her father and Uncle had also taken a place beside her Dad.
"Yeah Dad?", She said as everyone settled down somewhere on the couches.
David looked at her seriously. "Why are these people behind you?", He asked.
"What?", Leah said sitting straight in shock.
Everyone looks at David in surprise.
This time David didn't reply. Grace did.
"Leah those men who came home today kept asking for you just like last time we were car chased. What the hell is happening?", Grace asked with a frown.
Leah takes a deep breath looking down.
"Those people don't want anything from us princess. They want you. Why the hell are random dangerous strangers looking for you?", David demanded.
Leah couldn't answer just right away. They weren't random.
"For god sake just tell us everything. Obviously you all are aware of what's been happening. Can you please not keep us in the dark?", Grace said frustratedly.
When Leah couldn't answer David looks at others. "Anyone else ready to talk? Seb? Rowan? Theodore? Weston? Anyone?", He asked.
Rowan sighs. "It's a long story Dave."
"I have time. Please", David said persistently.
There was no point of hiding anything at this point now. It was all in the open and they deserved to know. It was about time.
So the story began. It wasn't the long version, just the short. Basically who are the Armani family. Who sent those goons. Why that is happening. The past was unfolded only up until the mafia gala because that's where it all began.
It was safe to say David and Grace were blown away from the information they received.
David's open mouth and frown shifted from his best friend to his daughter. Grace groaned covering her face with her hand.
"Seriously? Your enemies are behind you because you angered one of them? Leah what have I said before about pissing people off?!", He exclaimed.
Leah frowned. "He's an asshole Dad."
"So are many in this world. You can't go around pissing off as many as possible. You're planning for a record? These are dangerous people. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that", David frowned.
Leah sighs frustratedly.
"Leah", Grace looks up at her. "I have literally never stopped you from fighting assholes. We both have always kicked asses when someone crosses a line. You more than I. But this time you angered another mafia's guy? Why?!", She asked looking at her ridiculously.
"First of all I've never been okay with you getting into fights no matter what. But it's common sense. Why piss off dangerous people? You're not invincible, you know that right?", David frowned.
"Dad I don't fight without a reason. If I hear someone bad mouthing you or anyone else in this room I will not spare them. That's exactly what happened. Luca fucking Armani was making fun of Papa, Wes, Char, Jamie and Brody's torture years. He was instigating us. I snapped", Leah explained.
David gawked at her. "Torture years?! What the hell does that mean?", He asked in shock.
Everyone sighs.
"Seb?!", David looked at him in expectation.
Sebastian sighed heavily. Hence the story went into even more deeper past. What happened before, during and after ten years ago was explained.
This time David and Grace were shocked as well as horrified. Neither of them spoke for a few minutes.
Rowan wondered if it was right to tell them everything. This was traumatising shit. But it was done.
David looked at his boyfriend in shock. He couldn't believe it. He was imprisoned for a decade?!
Grace glanced at Wes, Char, Jamie and Brody who were all smiling sadly. "What the hell?", She muttered to herself.
"I guess it's too late to ask this. Are you boys okay? I mean- I- god?!", David stammered not able to form sentences.
Charlie smiled softly. "We're okay David. It's alright now."
Leah almost said it's not. Dean and Chase looked away angrily. Troy was sad. Theo and Emmett's jaw clenched.
"This is exactly what scared me in the first place", David whispered looking at Seb. "This..this dangerous life. This is exactly what frightened me seeing our daughter live in. But now I'm hearing this. Gosh Seb how can..god are you okay?", David frowned in worry.
He felt stupid to even ask that question. But he couldn't help it. He can only imagine how much they have suffered.
"David calm down. We're okay", Sebastian said softly.
"Calm down?! Are you serious? You were fucking kidnapped for ten years! Ten years! Do you realise how long that it?? My god!", David almost yelled.
"Heck your kids..god they spent years of their childhood like that?", David questioned in panic not expecting an answer.
Grace looked at the boys in concern. "Brody you're older than Leah by almost a year. You must have been 6", She gasped in realisation.
Brody sighs nodding.
"Oh god", David was horrified and disturbed, rubbed his face with his hand.
Sebastian tried to calm him. "Babe look at me. Don't think about that. Listen!", He cupped his face in his hands and looked into his eyes. "It was a very terrible time for my entire family. But that's in the past and you can't dwell on it alright? None of us should", Sebastian said seriously.
Leah's eyes went wide hearing that. Grace's mouth fell open at the word 'babe'
No one had seemed to realise that those two girls weren't aware of that relationship up until that second.
Grace and Leah share a look but didn't say anything.
"You could have- ", David cut himself off not wanting to say anything related to 'death'
"I know, but nothing happened. I'm fine and alive. You can see that?", Sebastian smiled softly caressing his cheek.
David's eyes closed in worry. "I love you", He couldn't hold back as he whispered it.
It hurt him hearing about it. He genuinely cares a lot for the guy.
Sebastian smiled leaning forward to kiss his forehead. "I love you too."
Leah almost gasped. She forcefully shut her mouth close and gulp down anything that could come out.
"Aww", Rowan smiled sweetly.
David rolled his eyes. Sebastian elbowed his brother and the boys snickered.
"Wow Dad. You're dating?", Grace smiled in amusement.
She had previously suspected Sebastian to maybe be interested in her father. But that was long ago and she forgot about it, clearly she was right. Just that her father was into him too.
David and Sebastian looked at her and then realisation set it. Their eyes immediately snapped towards Leah in shock. It hit them.
Leah looked back at them not reacting in any way.
Her fathers were not able to guess what she was thinking. Her expressions didn't give away anything. This was not the way they wanted her to know.
Leah cleared her throat. "So..um yeah. This is why I hate the Armani. We all do. They're messing with us and they deserve what comes to them", She said changing the topic.
She didn't mind at all. After the initial shock she felt she realised it's good to see that relationship. It made her happy. But right now she was more focused on the already two attacks on them. That was serious.
Everyone stared at Leah not sure what to think of her changing the topic suddenly.
More like.. returning back to the topic suddenly.
David and Sebastian stare at Leah for a couple seconds before Rowan broke the silence.
"Yeah..um Leah's right. It doesn't matter at the moment if Armani is a dangerous mafia family. We can't just sit and watch as they keep trying to do anything they wish", Rowan said sweeping past the elephant in the room.
"In this case, at the moment, they're after Leah", Emmett sighs.
"For now", Theo said. "I mean we can't really rule out the possibility of them trying to get to any of us", He said thoughtfully.
Some of them nod in agreement.
Grace exhales audibly. "So..what now? What will you all do?", She asked.
"Haven't decided yet. Our first priority will be Leah, you and David. We'll have to increase security and stop Luca somehow", Weston answered.
Sebastian nods. "He's right. David, you and Grace should come live here in the mansion. No one will touch you here, you'll be very safe", He said seriously looking at him.
David looked unsure. "I mean okay but..is it safe to leave our house like that? We have a lot of valuable things there regarding my business, bank documents and other stuff", He said with a small frown.
"Dad you've been attacked twice. I think your life is more important", Leah frowned.
David sighs. "I know Leah. I'm just saying even if we do live here..how long approximately? Because all of our stuff is there and we can't just keep going back and forth to fetch anything we want", He voices his problem.
"You can get all of your necessary things shifted here in our house. We have plenty of space", Rowan proposed.
"Yeah me and the boys will set up one of the spare rooms into an office so that your work doesn't get affected and it'll just be the same as your place", Charlie offered with a smile looking at his brothers and then David.
The boys cheered in agreement. Leah smiles.
"No no don't go through all that trouble", David chuckled. "Just a room will be fine. We can work in our rooms and I'm sure Grace and Leah can share one room?", He said looking at his daughters.
Leah and Grace smirk nodding. They would be more than happy to.
"Yeah perfect. So just one room really..uh for me", David said sheepishly feeling like he's causing trouble.
"Oh come on. We have plenty of rooms here Dave. Don't act all formal. You're not a guest so stop feeling like you are causing any inconvenience to us", Rowan scolds him.
Sebastian nods in support looking at boyfriend sternly. David sighed with a small smile.
"Also, you two don't have to share Leah's room. I'll get another room arranged for Grace so it's all comfortable", Emmett said with a smile.
"Thank you", Grace said sweetly.
Suddenly Troy jumped happily. Everyone looks at him in surprise.
"Ahh I'm so excited! You both will live with us now! Yay!", Troy said happily.
David and Grace chuckled.
"I know right! We get under what circumstances this is happening but seriously this is great!", Chase grinned.
"Atleast we won't have to go all the way to the Stevenson house just to enjoy the delicious pie Grace makes", Brody smiled in relief.
"For real", Troy pouts.
Rowan and Sebastian were amused. The elder boys smile. Grace awed. David chuckled.
Leah smiled shaking her head. She was glad that the dire situation at hand had made her entire family come under one roof. It indeed would be amazing.
She had wished for it once actually. It was a wild idea she had. She thought maybe both families can plan a long weekend and spend 2-3 days together under one roof spending quality time together. But this was even better.
"Awesome. Come on I'll show you two your rooms", Sebastian said standing up.
"Please. I could use a nap", David sighs tired.
Sebastian looked at him worriedly and Leah noticed how his eyes went down to David's injury and then back at his face.
Rowan muttered something about cleaning up the closets and walked ahead of them. Seb and David go after him heading up the stairs
Leah watches them go. Now that she knew about them she could sense the closeness between her fathers. Like the occasional hand touching, stealing glances and stuff.
Sebastian and David were discussing something in hushed tones as they walk up the stairs. They suddenly stop and turn around to look at their daughter and just in time an excited Troy caught Leah's attention causing her to shift her eyes from them.
"I'm soo happy! Now it's the three of you living with us! Isn't that exciting?", Troy asked Leah with a wide grin.
Leah smiled nodding and they started animatedly discussing about movie nights.
David sighs with little worry looking at her before turning back to Sebastian. "She didn't say anything about us. I think she may be upset? What do you think?", He asked.
"I don't know. She..didn't seem angry atleast", Sebastian said lowly staring at Leah.
"I wish we would have talked to her first rather than surprising her like that", David said.
Sebastian sighs. "Me too."
David's eyes shifted to Grace who was laughing along with Em and Char at whatever Dean and Chase were saying to each other.
"I'm not sure what my 'not so little anymore' daughter thinks about this as well. I need to have a conversation with Grace too", David said softly.
"You think she'll be upset?", Sebastian asked in worry.
He obviously knew if he plans a future with David he needs Grace's approval as well. He like David will have to get along with each other's kids.
He won't have a problem with Leah naturally. But Grace is important too. They have talked nicely to each other everytime they meet but they haven't spent any time together.
Sebastian knew David won't have any problem with his sons. They already love him.
"I don't think so. She's always encouraging me to go find a man for myself and settle down because she wishes me to be happy. Heck she's sometimes too excited when someone flirts with me- "
Sebastian's eyes snap to David's with a slightly open mouth.
" - I just don't know what she'll think of our relationship. It's been a while since I've been in one..like serious type so I don't know", David sighs deeply.
"Guys flirt with you?", Sebastian asked with a raised eyebrow.
David looks at him. "I mean..not a lot but uh.. yeah", He shrugs clearing his throat like it's not a big deal.
Sebastian's eyes narrowed down at him because this was news to him.
David looked at his daughter immediately. "Grace? Come on. You should take some rest too", he called her.
Grace looks at him and nods. She said something to the boys and walked over to them.
Together they head up the stairs with Sebastian talking sweetly to Grace about random stuff amusing David because he knew what he was trying to do.
Once they all left and were out of sight Leah turned to look at her brothers.
"You guys knew our fathers are dating?", She asked her own brothers.
"Yeah", Jamie shrugs nodding.
"Yup", Brody said popping the 'p'
"Known for the longest. Easily more than a month", Charlie said smugly raising his hand.
Weston nods. "The night of your first attack. It was pretty shocking", He said.
Their cousins look at Leah first and then the boys when they each spoke, but went back to Leah and almost laughed at her expressions.
"Hmmm", Leah smiled sarcastically nodding her head.
She walks to them with arms crossed. "And it's so sweet and thoughtful of you to let me know about this as well", She said sweetly.
Her brothers gave her sheepish looks.
Troy frowned in confusion. "I thought you didn't know. They never told you", He shakes his head innocently.
All the guys turn to look at Troy with a glare. He glanced at them and immediately turned away with wide eyes.
"Exactly Troy, they didn't", Leah smiled tightly.
Troy grimaced.
"Oh..um we..", Charlie trailed off not able to think of anything to cover it. He glanced at his brothers and shakes his head. "I got nothing."
Their cousins chuckled in amusement.
"I thought there were no lies between us", Leah narrowed down her eyes on them.
Her brothers sigh deeply with sheepish expressions.
"Technically there was no lie. I mean what is exactly the definition of lie really? According to google it means making untrue statements. We didn't make any statement to you, did we? Hence proved, we didn't lie", Brody shrugged.
"True that. Did we hide it from you? Yes, but that doesn't count for a lie. We could have forgotten for all you know. Right Charlie?", Jamie asked casually.
Charlie looked at him with an open mouth and then at Leah. "Y..ea..h", He nods.
"Exactly", Brody said in duh voice.
"Yup now you going to justify it?", Leah crossed her arms.
Brody scoffs. "Justify? No one is justifying. We didn't lie. I thought we established that. Infact I think it's your fault. You should have told us you didn't know something we did", He shrugs.
Charlie, Leah and Jamie look at him weirdly.
"What?", Brody frowned at their staring.
"Are you really that stupid or it's an occasional triggering?", Leah asked seriously.
"You're changing the topic because you got nothing ", Brody deadpanned.
"Excuse me?!", Leah screeched.
Some cousins snickered.
"Oh come on guys", Jamie frowned staring at Leah and Brody.
This was all it took for Leah, Brody and Jamie to get into a silly argument. Charlie groans loudly.
The cousins look at each of them one by one as if it's a tennis match.
Weston is the only one who doesn't say anything until the end and sighs rolling his eyes in disbelief at their behaviour.
Those three were overlapping each other's words hence there was no way anyone could hear or understand what they were saying and that seemed to be more amusing.
During that blabber contest Blaze and Kyle walk inside the house unnoticed by anyone.
They look at the scene in front of their eyes and then at each other with raised eyebrows. They blinked multiple times not knowing what to do.
Kyle cleared his throat loudly. Nothing happened. No one heard him.
Blaze thought he could fire a bullet in the air, but shut off that thought realising he's standing in his Don's house.
Charlie by chance looked in their direction in between all of this groaning in frustration and his face lightened up like Christmas lights.
"Look! It's Blaze and Kyle!", He said pointing at them. "I'm sure they have something important to say!"
The three kids stopped arguing and everyone's attention went to the two confused members of the mafia.
"I'm so happy to see you guys!", Charlie said excitedly.
That was enough for their cousins to laugh hysterically.
Weston sighs crossing his arms across his chest. Leah rolled her eyes. Charlie's eyes glinted with happiness. Brody looked bored. Jamie huffed.
Blaze cleared his throat snapping Kyle out of his trance and close his open mouth.
"Uh..sir we have information", Blaze said stepping forward.
"We told you we won't disappoint", Kyle smirked.
Theo and Wes smile as they walk towards them. Everyone's attention was on them now.
"We found out that Luca indeed had sent a contract to one of the underground gangs which specialises in these sort of missions", Blaze stated.
"Our sources tell us that there will be more attacks by the gang's men. No matter what they will carry out their job given to them by Luca as it's not just a matter of their dignity to not fail, but also that they're paid and they can't piss off a mafia guy", Kyle added.
Everyone shares a look with each other showing their annoyance with their expressions.
"So they won't stop until they get the job done", Leah said displeased.
Blaze nods. "Yes."
Weston takes a deep breath pinching the tip of his nose.
"Have you identified this gang? Do we have any information on them?", Theo questions.
Kyle nods. "Yes sir. It's one of the oldest gangs from here. They've done some business with the Italian mafia at the time when they owned our mafia here."
"Luca's operating his plan from Italy to his men here", Blaze said.
Dean scoffed. "This gang is ready to do buisness with Luca even after knowing who's their target? They know Leah is a part of the mafia family around here."
Blaze nods. "Yes. Don't be surprised Dean. These criminals are like that. For them it's more about money. So they'll take up contracts for any high profile person even if it means they're messing with the American mafia."
"Just for money!?", Troy asked in disbelief not able to understand why someone would put their life at risk for this.
"Yes Troy. They specialise in these things. Kinda like higher risk- higher payment situation", Kyle responded.
"Unbelievable", Chase mutters.
Leah was angry. She was not about to back down from the threat.
"Let them come. I hope they send every single person at disposal. I'll fuck them all up so bad that they'll regret being born", Leah grit.
Emmett and Charlie frown looking at her. Weston and Theodore turn to look at Leah with a raised eyebrow.
"Calm down", Jamie said to her.
"I can't. Th- ", Leah argued.
"You have to", Weston cut her off with a stern look on his face.
Leah shut up sighing in frustration. Theo and Wes turn to face their members.
"I want all the information we have on this gang to be ready as soon as possible. Everything we know I want it. Tell Owen to put our spies at work and find out about their hideout here", Theo said.
"Also, keep the prisoners Sanders caught today ready. Theo and I will come to the base to talk to them ourselves", Weston said.
Blaze and Kyle nod in reply and head out.
"Thanks guys. You really helped", Theo smiled.
Kyle smiled waving it off. "It's our job. Any way we can help", Blaze said.
With that they leave and Weston turns to look at Leah. Theo sighs deeply seeing that face and walks back to sit on the couch.
"Leah stop being so impulsive", Theo said seriously.
"I'm pissed Theo. These people are behind me and are hurting anyone they come across", Leah said in a tone.
"Agreed. Doesn't mean you lose your common sense to your anger", Weston replied.
"What?!", Leah frowned.
Her younger older brothers and cousins sigh.
"David was right. Stop acting like you're invincible. One bullet can kill you", Emmett said sternly.
"I'm not acting like that", Leah said in defence surprised that they think that.
"Yes you are. You're good at fighting and taking care of yourself but you still have a lot to learn Leah", Charlie said seriously.
"I know that", Leah said lowly.
"You don't act like you do", Weston frowned.
Everyone's eyes fell on him except Theo who was still looking at Leah.
"Skill is one thing, but numbers matter too. The two attacks that happened already this week have been in good numbers. Five trained men both times", Theo reminded her.
"Exactly. So stop with that attitude about- 'I hope they send every single person at disposal. I'll fuck them all up so bad that they'll regret being born.' That's exactly the kind of attitude that encourages overconfidence", Weston said seriously.
"Don't be like Luca", Theo frowns.
Leah raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "You're comparing me to that bastard?", She asked offended.
"Yes I am", Theo said in a challenging tone. "You don't see it, but we do."
"What? You see what common thing between us?", Leah asked crossing her arms.
"Luca is doing what he's doing out of impulse. His ego couldn't handle the fact that we all, you more than us, disrespected his family at the Gala. He didn't think this through. His actions can be accounted as stupid because he's clearly instigating us by a direct attack on a mafia family's member, which is a big deal", Theo explained.
"It doesn't seem like he has a solid plan, just like you don't have one either", Weston continued. "What is your plan to deal with your attackers at the moment? You're ready to face them without knowing who they are, how dangerous this gang is and how many are we talking about here."
Leah quietly takes it all into account and thinks about it. Her brothers slowly nod realising how right the Dons are.
"Your anger is understandable, but not controlled. Channel it in right direction. You don't seem to be able to do that yet", Emmett spoke there making others look at him.
"Exactly. You killed those previous attackers in cold blood defying orders from your superiors blinded by your anger", Charlie said with a deep frown.
Leah was ready to argue that, but Weston spoke first.
"That was one thing I wanted to address you about", Wes said sternly. "Owen, Charlie and Emmett asked you to stop. How the hell could you defy that?", He demanded.
"Owen is the second in command of this mafia Leah. Have you forgotten that? After Theo and I, his orders are to be followed without question and you broke that law. How could you?", He scolded her.
"Owen let that go even though he was within his rights to file a complaint about you to us. Heck he can order you a punishment if he feels fit", Theo said seriously. "Em and Char are at a higher rank that you and the boys here. You should have listened to them", He said.
"Just because they're your brothers and Owen is your best friend you think you get a pass at not following rules?", Weston frowned.
Leah opens and closes her mouth not knowing how to defend herself. She knew they were right.
"Leah and the rest of you all better remember this clearly. Every single one of you is a member of the mafia alright? All rules apply to you the same as they do to the rest of the members", Theo said sternly.
"Don't be under this impression that you all are special because you come from the mafia family and that you are bosses yourself. No you're not", He added looking at everyone, but longer at Leah.
The boys nod slowly showing that they understood what the Dons said.
"I didn't mean to break the rules. I really respect the ranks here guys. I'm sorry, it was not my intention to-
I'm just sorry", Leah said softly.
"We know it wasn't your intention that's why we said get your anger in control", Weston said softly.
"You're usually not this angry, but this situation that has somehow affected David and Grace has made you more impulsive", Theo said gently.
Leah nods. "Yeah.. it pissed me off. Even at the Gala that asshole was triggering us and it all just added up. I'm only protective..I guess", She said looking down.
Wes and Theo smile softly shaking their head.
"Obviously you are. We all are. You're just about the same as the rest of us", Emmett chuckled.
"The rules are for that only. We have leaders to guide us", Charlie smiled.
Leah sheepishly nodded in understanding.
"Yes Leah. You make so many mistakes. God you have so much to learn", Brody teases her shaking his head.
Theo and Wes roll their eyes knowing what will happen.
"You!", Leah grit charging to him.
Troy caught her mid run and held her back tightly glaring at Brody while doing so. Brody pulled out his tongue at her and Emmett smacked his head for that.
Leah removed her shoe and threw it at him hitting him on his head.
"Enough now", Charlie frowned.
Dean and Jamie laughed. Chase face palmed.
All this while no one had noticed a man standing at the top of the stairs looking at the scene with deep interest for the past five minutes.
Rowan was on his way down to the living room when he saw Blaze and Kyle leave. He then stayed there and saw Theo and Wes have the necessary talk with Leah.
He had a smile on his face looking down at them not because of the commotion started by Brody downstairs, but for Theo and Wes.
He was proud to see how maturely they handled Leah. They clearly knew when to be brothers and when to be the Dons. He admired their partnership.
Even Charlie and Emmett. The four of them love their siblings the most, but they know how to take care of them.
The rest of them are still kids. They need to be guided rightly.
They're not special and certainly won't be taken lightly for breaking rules. It was a much needed talk to avoid any 'for granted' buisness.
Weston and Theodore leave the commotion started by their siblings to be handled by Charlie and Emmett since they always have a better technique of dealing with it. They quickly and quietly exit and head for the base to do their job.
Rowan chuckled to himself seeing that. It was amusing and ironic how the kids are more scared of pissing off Em and Char when it comes to this than their eldest brothers.
"What's going on?", Sebastian asked walking over to Rowan seeing him gazing down in amusement.
"Nothing. Just our children", Rowan waved it off.
Sebastian followed his gaze down to the living room and understood immediately. "When will they grow up?"
"I don't think I want them to grow up", Rowan smiled.
Sebastian sighs. "You say that now."
They both shake their head hearing a high pitched dramatic cry followed by a complain from downstairs.
