Aurora's POV
Its true, life is full of surprises, but I just didn't expect the woman who gave birth to me appearing at the doorstep of my dad's house....to be one.
There she was standing in front of me looking like if she fought in world war 2. No offense to her but she looked...rough. Her hair was tangled and looked fried, her clothes were torn up, she had nothing on her feet, her skin looked like a face mask made out of oil and dirt and she smelt like a wet dog. The truth hurts.
I was frozen. I didn't know what to say. No one in my position would know what to say either. I mean, meeting your mother for the first time especially if you're an adult is probably the most awkward thing ever.
"C-can I come in please?" she stuttered with a hoarse voice.
Without a response I opened the door wider for her to enter. I gestured for her to follow me as I led her to the dining room.
"Please, sit," I told her as I made my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water for her. Within seconds the glass was empty and she muttered a thankyou.
"W-why are you here? Not to sound rude or anything," I asked her and she looked down.
"Your friend, Elijah brought me here," she mumbled.
"I thought you were d-dead," I said still shocked.
"I never died, they planned it all out and unfortunately they were skilled enough to fake my death and make sure no one knew of it," she said with a tear rolling down her cheek
"I'm really sorry that happened to you," I said holding back the tears.
"Don't apologize, you didn't know so you couldn't possibly help me," she smiled while putting her hand over mine.
"I-if you want you can stay here," I offered.
"No its ok I'm just glad that I finally met you," she declined.
"No, I insist, its not safe for anyone out there," I told her.
"No no its really ok," she declined again.
"Please," I pleaded.
"Alright...I'll take your offer," she accepted.
"Good," I said.
"Aurora," she called me.
"I-I know what they did to you when I was supposedly dead," she started.
"Oh," I replied.
"I'm really sorry that they did that to you, that's the last thing I wished for you and I feel terrible because I wasn't able to do anything," she apologized as tears ran down her cheeks.
"Its ok some things are just meant to happen no matter what," I consoled her.
"No Aurora you shouldn't accept that treatment, that's worse than cruelty and what makes it worse is that you are his blood child and they are your blood siblings so for them to do something as hideous as that is just awful and wrong," she sobbed.
"I also know that...you killed them, even though it hurts my heart because they're my kids I have no choice but to accept that," she said covering her face as she cried.
"You know?" I said.
"Yes in fact I knew about even before it was done and I may have done some damage my self to Leonardo," she said wiping her tears.
"I'm sorry that you now have to be grieving over the death of your children but I'm not sorry that I killed them, I wasn't planning on doing it but they wanted me dead after all so I helped them out," I semi-yelled.
"I'm sorry but I just can't deal with this my children are dead!" she yelled.
"They abused me for 9 years, it had to be done at some point, I just don't get how you can see them as your children still" I yelled back at her.
"Maybe I should go," she said while getting up.
"Where exactly?" I asked her.
"Suddenly you have somewhere to go once you hear the truth?" I laughed bitterly.
She just stood there wiping her tears while sniffling.
"That's what I thought now follow me to where you'll be staying," I said to her.
I made my way to one of the guest rooms and switched the lights on. The room had a dark interior, the main colours were black grey and white and lucky enough this room allows you to have a nice view of the sunset. It also has a bathroom and a walk in closet attached to it.
"Its not all that fancy but I hope this'll do," I told her.
"There's toiletries in the first draw in the bathroom and some clean towels in the cupboard, I'll bring some clothes for you to change into then I'll take you to the mall to get you some personal items," I said exiting the room.
We're basically the same size and she still looked pretty young minus the dark circles by her eyes and the eye bags, so the clothes I'll leave for her shouldn't be bad. I got a brown-ish beige cropped sweater with some black high-waisted jeans along with some white fluffy slippers that I never used.
I placed the outfit on the bed and made my way to my room to change. I put on a grey dress with a white neckline along with some black converses.
After about twenty minutes we went to the mall once I gave dad a run down of what happened. Nothing really fazes him anymore.
------------------------Time skip---------------------------
As I parked my car in the driveway I noticed something unfamiliar. There was a black Mercedes parked in the driveway. Maybe its my knight in shiny armor here to give me a marriage proposal. So exciting!
I walked inside with some of Giulia's shopping bags. I walked into the living room and I saw my dad sitting there with a man who could be about my age and and older man who's probably in his mid 40's. Both were really attractive.
"She is as beautiful as you say Santiago," the older man said while smirking.
"Me or her?" I ask pointing between myself and Giulia.
"I was speaking about you miss but she is also beautiful," he said.
Not today. Lord save me.
