(A couple of months passed since the ending of book 2)
(Central City)
(4 criminals are running away with guns and bags of money)
Criminal#1: We just robbed a bank! Hell yeah!
Criminal#2: Keep it down. We still need to hide from the cops.
Criminal#3: Relax man. With the distraction we set, we're in the clear.
Criminal#4: Shut up and focus on getting to the car.
(As the criminals are running, XS appears in front of them with her super-speed)
XS: Why are you guys in such a hurry? You know, me and my partner here can give you guys a first class trip to Iron Heights.
(The criminals turn around to see Omnies blocking the path)
Omnies: Nice distraction back at the bank. Putting mask on the hostages to make them look like criminals. The only problem is you forgot to untie them. It was a dead giveaway.
Criminal#3: I told you to untie them!
(He says to Criminal#1)
Criminal#1: I thought you said to leave them tied up?
Criminal#3: No!!!
Criminal#2: Just shoot them!
(2 criminals aim their guns at XS and the other 2 aim their guns at Omnies. Then they pull the trigger and open fire. XS dodges the bullets with no problem and Omnies turns into Water Hazard and the bullets bounce off of him)
Criminal#4: Why isn't this working?!
Water Hazard: I'm bulletproof.
(Water Hazard sprays water at the criminals; making all 4 fall down)
Water Hazard: You're turn.
Criminal#2: What?
XS: He was talking to me.
(XS creates electricity with her hand and she shocks the water; knocking them out)
Omnies: Nice work partner.
XS: The 2 of us make a good team. Together who can beat us?
Omnies: Well you do most of the heavy lifting, or I should say running.
XS: Aww. You're so sweet.
Omnies: Anything for you.
(XS and Omnies are about to kiss when XS gets an alert on her gauntlet)
XS: There's a fire a couple miles north from here.
Omnies: (sighs) I'll deal with the fire.
XS: And I'll take these guys to Iron Heights.
(Omnies turns into XLR8, XLR8 and XS speed off)
(Timeskip)
(STAR Labs)
(Ben enters his room and sees Nora sitting on his bed)
Nora: What took you so long?
Ben: Big building. Lots of people. And fire was everywhere. But I had it under control.
Nora: Good work. Next time I'll handle the heavy lifting.
Ben: Now I believe we had a important moment before we were interrupted.
(Ben sits next to Nora)
Nora: Yes we do Mr. Tennyson.
(Ben and Nora kiss and they keep kissing for a few minutes and then Nora lays down on her back and Ben gets on top of her)
Nora: You are very handsome.
Ben: And you are very beautiful.
(Ben kisses Nora's neck)
Nora: Mmm~ You have the magic touch.
Ben: Then let me put that magic somewhere else.
(Ben and Nora make out when Iris talks over the PA System)
Iris: (PA System) Ben. Nora. We need you in the Cortex.
Ben: (sighs) Why do we have to be interrupted?
Nora: Hey, we'll have plenty of time later.
(Ben and Nora enter the Cortex)
Nora: What's going on Mom?
Iris: There's a black hole going around Central City.
Ben: Metahuman?
Iris: That's our theory.
(Barry walks in)
Barry: Anything yet?
Iris: No more black holes, yet.
Barry: Hey Nora. Hey... Ben.
Ben: Barry, I thought we were cool.
Barry: Yep, yep. Totally cool. Nothing wrong here. At all.
Iris: Barry.
Barry: I'll, um, I'll go see if Caitlin needs help with... something.
(Barry walks out)
Nora: He's still not over it.
Ben: Does he have to be weird about it? It's been almost 2 months since we told you guys.
Iris: He's trying his best. But Barry, he's... adjusting.
Ben: That the fact that I'm dating Nora. Is bothering him?
Iris: To Barry; he's struggling that our daughter and our good friend, are dating each other.
Nora: I'm so glad you're cool with this, Mom. It makes me happy.
Iris: Nora, you're an adult. You can date whoever you want. And I also happen to be impressed and approve of Ben.
Ben: At least one of you feels that way.
Iris: Barry feels the same way. This is he's way of dealing with it.
Ben: Barry has dealt with metahumans, time travelers, and people from other Earths. And yet he can't handle 2 people in a relationship?
Iris: You're not just "2 people" you're Ben and Nora. We know you guys. And Barry might not show it, but I for one am so happy you guys are together.
Ben: Now that I think about it. Why are you so cool about this? Because from the moment we told you, you been acting "natural."
Iris: Because for a while I knew there was something between you 2. I was just waiting for someone to make their move.
Nora: That explains why you've been so supportive.
Iris: (chuckles) Now I believe we have a metahuman to find?
Ben: Me and Nora can check the streets.
Nora: Can you keep up with me?
Ben: You may be the "Fastest Woman Alive," but I am "The Welder of the Omnitrix." I can handle whatever you can through at me. Or in your case "run at me."
Nora: (giggles) Show me what you got.
(Nora and Ben run off)
Iris: (mind) They're so cute together.
(Timeskip)
(Ben and Nora walk back in the Cortex)
Ben: We checked the city like 5 times. And still nothing.
Nora: There has to be somewhere we haven't checked.
Caitlin: He's in the hospital.
Ben: How do you know?
Caitlin: Because Iris was just there. The mans name is Chester P. Runk. And he's in a-coma.
Cisco: and he's got the ability to control black holes from an experiment that went wrong. Which put him into a-coma.
Caitlin: But we're still trying to figure out how exactly his powers work.
Nora: Is there any good news?
Barry: The good news is, we can stop it.
Cisco: Thanks to this little gizmo I made.
(He says while holding a small device)
Ben: That will stop the black hole?
Cisco: That's the hope.
Iris: We can't.
(She says while walking in)
Everyone: Why?
Iris: Because Chester's life depends on it.
Ben: What do you mean?
Iris: I think Chester is connected to the black hole.
Nora: What makes you say that?
Iris: I did some digging and the places where the black holes showed up were places where Chester like to go.
Cisco: But how is Chester controlling black holes if he's in a-coma?
Caitlin: This will explain it.
(Caitlin shows Chester's brain activity on the screen)
Caitlin: Chester's MRI scan was really weird when I first saw it. But watch what happens when I put Chester's brain activity next to the black hole scan.
(Chester's brain activity and the black hole scan are in sync)
Ben: So half of Chester's brain is in his body and the other half is in the black hole?
Cisco: Apparently.
Barry: What happens if we use the device to stop the black hole while Chester's brain is still in there?
Caitlin: It could kill Chester.
Nora: We're not going to let that happen.
Cisco: Barry, it's one man or the entire city. Maybe even the world.
Barry: Do you want me to kill him?
Cisco: Do we have a choice?
Barry: We always have a choice.
Cisco: It doesn't look that way.
Ben: Stop arguing! We have faced worse problems than this. Now we're going to find a way to save Chester and this city. Any ideas?
Nora: I got one.
Ben: Thank you.
Nora: I have a backup gauntlet that's more than powerful enough to get Chester's brain out of their.
Caitlin: But how are we going to get it?
Barry: When another black hole opens I'll run in and get it.
Caitlin: But you're body can't handle the gravity of a black hole.
Barry: But my Speedforce aura can handle it.
Iris: But what if it doesn't?
Caitlin: Barry's body will be crushed in seconds.
Nora: My Dad can do it. The Speedforce is stronger than a black hole.
Barry: Nora's right. I can do this.
Cisco: Ok, I just need the gauntlet and I'm good to go.
(Nora speeds off and then comes back with the backup gauntlet and gives it to Cisco)
Cisco: That will work.
(Then Ralph comes in)
Ralph: You know what I miss about this city? The coffee. Missed this coffee.
Nora/Ben: Ralph? When did you get back?
(They say in unison)
Ralph: Today. How are you guys. Last time I checked you 2 are dating. If you want a man with relationship advice. I'm your guy.
Nora: No thanks.
Ben: We're good.
Ralph: Your loss. Anything new with you guys?
Ben: I've been learning to use more of my aliens. Nora even helped me name a couple of them.
Nora: And I've gotten a lot faster since the last time you saw me.
Ralph: So... same old same old?
Ben: Getting new aliens and Nora getting faster isn't really new, but if it helps you understand. Then go with it.
Nora: How's the mission persons case coming along?
Ralph: Slow. But I'm making progress.
Ben: That's what you said before you left Central City.
Ralph: Shh.
Cisco: Anyways... I'll work on this, you guys keep a look out for anyone black holes.
Ben: I'll help you.
(Ben and Cisco leave and head towards Cisco's workshop)
Ben: Cisco, what was that back there?
Cisco: What was what?
Ben: You know what I'm talking about.
Cisco: I'm just worried about people's safety.
Ben: Really? Are you sure this isn't about Kamilla or losing your powers?
Cisco: Both. I'm still getting used to not having powers and getting back to normal.
Ben: I get that. When I was 11, I gave up the Omnitrix and I had a "fun" time getting back to how things were.
Cisco: You gave up the Omnitrix? Why?
Ben: I lost my favorite alien at the time and I went through a hard time.
Cisco: Don't worry, I'll get a handle on this.
Ben: See, you're making progress already.
(Ben and Cisco get to work)
(Later the STAR Labs alarm goes off and Ben runs to the Cortex)
Ben: Black hole?
Barry: Downtown. Is the upgrade ready yet?
Ben: Cisco is almost done.
Barry: I'll wait here until it's finished.
Ben: Nora. Ralph. Caitlin. Suit up.
(Everyone gets into their suits and heads downtown)
Elongated Man: So... what's the plan?
Omnies: You and Frost are going to help people.
Frost: Nothing we can't handle.
(Elongated Man and Frost go save people)
XS: What do we do?
Omnies: I'm going to stop the black hole from sucking things in. Can you use your speed to stabilize it?
XS: Like what my Dad did 5 years ago when a singularity opened up. It was my favorite hologram simulation in the Flash Museum. I got this.
(XS gets ready to run when Omnies stops XS)
Omnies: Wait. Make sure you give it your all.
XS: Make sure people don't get hurt.
(XS speeds off and runs around the black hole. Then Omnies turns into Gravattack; using his gravity powers to stop the black hole from pulling anything else in)
Frost: Hey, why don't you use Gravattack's powers to stop the black hole?
Gravattack: Yeah, last time I did that... I almost destroyed my world.
(Frost gives Gravattack a confused look)
Gravattack: I'll explain later. Go help people.
(Frost continues to save people)
Barry: (coms) The upgrade is ready.
Gravattack: Perfect. XS just stabilized the black hole.
Barry: (coms) I'm on my way.
Gravattack: XS, Flash is on his way.
XS: (coms) This is going to be way better than watching a simulation.
(Flash speeds into the black hole and after a few seconds Flash runs out and heads back to STAR Labs and the rest of the gang follows suit)
(STAR Labs)
(Everyone gets to the Cortex and see Barry's new suit)
Ben: Now that's a super suit.
Cisco: I know. One of my best works yet.
Cecile: Chester is ok and is more than willing to stay here at STAR Labs.
Ralph: How long will be have to be contacted?
Caitlin: At least... 6 weeks.
Ben: Do we celebrate now?
Ralph: I would love to, but I still have a missing persons case to solve. I'll see you guys later.
(Ralph leaves)
Caitlin: And I have to talk to Frost about something important.
(Caitlin leaves)
Cisco: And I have a date with Kamilla. One of the things I miss about my powers; is breaching used to save so much time.
(Cisco leaves)
Nora: So just us then?
Cecile: Joe is making some of his family famous t-bone steak and with a side of chili fries.
Ben: I'm in!
Nora: (laughs) Me too.
Iris: Me 3. Barry?
Barry: I'll grab my jacket.
(West House)
(Everyone enters the house)
Joe: Who's ready for some t-bones?
Cecile: Everyone is hungry.
Joe: Good. It's almost ready.
Ben: Need any help with the food, Captain?
Joe: You don't have to call me that every time you see me.
Ben: I know. I just think the title suits you.
Cecile: Well... me and Captain Joe West finish up, all of you can sit down.
(Cecile and Joe go into the kitchen and everyone else sits down)
Barry: I heard about the bank robbery and the fire. Good job.
Nora: Thanks Dad.
Ben: I hear you also had a encounter of your own this morning.
Barry: We found a 4th Godspeed this morning.
Nora: Did he say anything?
Iris: Just noise.
Barry: Just like the last 3.
Ben: Next time another Godspeed shows up-
Nora: We'll be there.
Barry: The 3 of us? Now that's a force to be reckoned with.
Ben: You're not acting weird. Are you finally going to be my friend again?
Barry: Iris talk to me about it. I realized that you and Nora can date whoever you want to. And that Me and Iris went through something similar with Joe.
Iris: (clears throat) They don't need to know about that.
Nora: No, no. Please continue. I want to hear about all the awkward tension between you 2 and Papa Joe.
Iris: No.
Barry: Oh, and Ben. Don't assume this will give you a raise.
Ben: Damn. I was really looking forward to getting this sports car I wanted.
(Everyone laughs at the joke. Then Joe and Cecile bring the food and they enjoy the food)
(Timeskip)
(Ben and Nora are walking to STAR Labs)
Ben: Are you sure you want to come with me? My room isn't all that great.
Nora: Yeah, but we'll be all alone. Just the 2 of us.
Ben: On second thought, my room is a great place to go to.
Nora: I knew you would come around.
Ben: Well, you are the smart one and the fast one.
Nora: And you are the brave one and the man who stole my heart.
Ben: And you're the woman who stole mine.
(Ben and Nora kiss)
Nora: How about I speed us to your room?
Ben: It's more fun than walking.
Nora: You know what else is more fun?
Ben: Umm... I don't know? What?
(Nora whispers in Ben's ear)
Nora: I can use my super-speed for more than just running around. Especially in room with just you and me, alone~
(Ben face turns red and Nora giggles)
Ben: Well... I like how you're brain works.
Nora: Me too.
(Ben and Nora continue walking when they hear someone talk behind them)
Monitor: Hello Ben Tennyson. Nora West-Allen.
Nora: Who are you? And what's with the outfit?
Ben: Nora, this is the Monitor. The guy who gave a crazy man the book of destiny.
Nora: Oh. That guy.
Ben: What do you want? The "test" you told me about, I completed it months ago.
Monitor: I know. But that was only half of the test.
Ben: How many more familiar faces will be coming to this Earth?
Monitor: I told you. You would only see 3 of your adversaries from your Earth. Now you still have 2 left.
Ben: 2? What does Charmcaster have a new lackey or something?
Monitor: You will have to find out yourself. Originally you were supposed to do this test alone, but when you changed Nora West-Allen's fate. Now she's apart of you're test before the Crisis.
Nora: What test? What Crisis?
Monitor: A Crisis is coming. And I need hero's who are ready to face it.
Ben: Enough of this.
(Ben turns into Four Arms)
Four Arms: People got hurt because of these test. No one else will get hurt! And what does Nora have to do with it?
Monitor: Love. It's a very powerful thing. Nora West-Allen is the key to making you into the one of the hero's I see in the future. Although your future is a little uncertain. Not many people have a unseen future. This will help make your future better just like the other hero's I'm testing.
Four Arms: Just stop talking.
(Four Arms gets ready to fight when the Monitor waves his hand in front of him to transform Ben back to normal, but it does nothing)
Monitor: Hmm. I see you have prepared for seeing me again.
Four Arms: I learn from my mistakes. You can't make me transform back to normal.
Nora: Do you want to take care of him?
Four Arms: You want to help me out?
Nora: Yeah. This guy is getting on my nerves.
Monitor: The 2 of you make a good team. I've been watching the 2 of you work.
Nora: That's not weird at all.
Monitor: Now you're test begins.
Four Arms: What are you-
(The Monitor waves his hand and teleports Ben and Nora away)
Monitor: Now everything is set in motion.
(The Monitor makes a call with his powers)
Monitor: It's done. Now it's your turn to fulfill your end of the bargain.
Charmcaster: Good. Now I can kill the woman he love right in front of him.
Monitor: Remember, you only have one chance.
Charmcaster: I know. Me and my new partner will take care of everything.
Monitor: I may have given you information about the woman who Ben loves, but you must not treat them lightly. Both of them are strong on their own, but even stronger together.
Charmcaster: Don't worry. You gave me a chance to ruin the Tension family for the rest of their lives.
Monitor: That's what I'm hoping for. I'll be in touch.
