YOU LEFT THE MAIN TOWN, now surrounded by thick meadows filled with crops and hay as you slowly trotted down the main, compressed-dirt pathway.
You weren't sure how much time had passed, but the journey was dragging on further than you had anticipated. You groaned, leaning your head forward so that your forehead was pressed to Levi's back: you sighed with boredom once more.
Levi scoffed, a faint hint of a smile lingering against the corner of his soft lips, "Try not to hide your enthusiasm."
"It's taking so long to get there.."
"Quit your complaining!"
Your eyebrow raised as you began to smirk, "Or what?"
Levi slowly turned his shoulder with a scoff, shaking his head, "Excuse you? What do you mean or what?"
"I mean what are you going to do if I don't stop?"
Levi's eyes slightly widened, before you watched his surprised expression slowly turn into a sinister smirk; his hand slowly leaned back against you, lifting your arm to trace it against his chest.
You raised your brow with confusion, feeling him force your hand to hold tightly onto his stomach.
He turned back around, finally letting go of you, before muttering hoarsely under his breath: "Hold onto me tightly, Y/N."
"But, why-?"
However, before he you had chance to finish your sentence, you felt him harshly tug at the reigns, before the horse swiftly began to gallop forward through the different lanes.
You let out a sharp yelp, instantly running your arms around his muscular torso - you held him tightly; your right leg tightly hooked around his, feeling scared yet excited as your lips curled into an open smile.
You laughed loudly, clinging onto him.

An apple tree stood in the middle of a field as Levi finally slowed down on his horse, your cheek pressed against at his back.
He turned his dark-brown horse to the side, beginning to steer it towards the large emerald tree: it sheltered a large spot of ground with daisy's and buttercups dotted all around the soft grass.
A sigh of relief left both of your lips as you finally left the radiance of the blazing sun.
You climbed off of the horse as he did the same, tying the reign to a thick, oak branch.
You seated yourself down against the cushiony grass below you, watching Levi's silhouette slowly travel to sit with his back against the tree. He arched his neck downwards, his body slowly relaxing as you watched his eyes close with fatigue.
Another sigh left his lips.
You laced your fingers down towards the grass, lifting a daisy up from the ground: you embedded your thumb-nail into the slender stem. You lifted another daisy, your eyes squinted as you slowly began to hook the stems into each over.
Levi's eye cracked open, one of his legs crossing over the other with his head resting against his wrists.
"What do you think you're doing?" He asked you in a cold tone.
"Making a daisy-chain." You calmly replied, a gleeful smile creeping upon your lips as you finally managed to hook one over the other: "I'll make you a crown if you want!"
He scoffed with a hint of a smirk, "I'm good- thanks."
You picked up another daisy: "So-.." You began, "Do you believe in soulmates, Levi?"
His eyes widened with shock: "Eh-.." He stammered beneath his breath with a surprised expression, "Where did that question come from?"
"What you were talking about earlier - when you said that you were waiting for someone special to come along?"
Levi sighed through his nose, burrowing his hands deeply into his pockets, "I'd like to think that everyone has a perfect other half." He paused for a few moments as you watched his shoulders tense, his head lowering as his eyes began to shift around the grass floor, "The issue is.. there's always a chance that you'll view someone as your forever, only to realise that their heart belongs to someone else, or worse: have them involuntarily taken from you.."
Your lips parted, "I-.." You hesitated, feeling as your chest tightened, "That's a scary thought."
He scoffed with a weak expression, his broad shoulders shrugging.
"So, do you believe that there's someone out there who's perfect for you, Y/N?"
You felt your body overcome a surreal sensation as your nose scrunched; you shivered, the hairs on the back of your neck pricking up.
He scoffed, "What?"
"Nothing-.. I just got a strange sense of deja-vu." You murmured, crossing your arms over your chest, "Have we had this conversation before.. Levi?"
You watched a sharp breath exhale from his lips as his silver eyes widened with a sudden sense of alertness. He swallowed: his eyes narrowing down onto yours.
"No." Levi sternly replied.
Levi turned his face over his shoulder, watching your eyes glare towards the ground. The bright sun stayed illuminating off of his face, highlighting his sharp jawline and features; his grey eyes glowed with pure-white highlights.
"Why-.." You hesitated, "Levi, why do I feel like you're hiding so many things from me. Like, again and again, there's a story you're not telling me."
He stepped closer to your body, his eyebrow raised, "Again?"
"I can't get over what you said the day that you saved me, 'You can't remember me?'" Your voice softened with confusion, "I feel like you're keeping something from me, and I don't know what it is - it's frustrating."
Levi gave you a solemn stare, his lips parting as if readying himself to release all the secrets he'd kept from you. However, he immediately lowered his head with a lack of pride taking over his body.
His eyes rolled, "It's nothing." He replied, turning his shoulder to close his eyes once more, however, he still left each of your questions unanswered, "Nothing at all."
Your brows furrowed harshly, desperate to know what he seemed to be hiding; you laced another daisy in the stem of another.
"I find you extremely frustrating sometimes, Levi."
He sighed with his body still relaxing against the thick wood: "Oh? Is that so?"
"Mhm."
"And why do you find me so frustrating, L/N?"
"I can never tell what you're thinking; no matter how hard I try, you're a closed book."
Levi scrunched his nose, shaking his head to the side, "I don't think so: or at least not with you. If anything, I feel like I'm quite open with you." His silver eye cracked open once more as he spoke, watching you begin to furrow his brow, "You know more about me than a lot of people: personal things. It-.. actually hurts a little that you think of me as being.. secretive."
"Can you blame me when you refuse to answer questions like that? You'll tell me something personal, but afterwards will answer something simple with a blunt, one-word reply. It makes me wonder.. that's all."
Levi sighed, slowly lowering his face: his head shook.
You carelessly stared back down towards the ground, piercing your nail through the last stem before finally hooking the last daisy. A grin sprung against your lips as you lifted it up.
You leant down, slowly shifting your figure closer to Levi's; his slender eyebrow raised. You leant inbetween his thighs, slowly leaning closer towards him as the scent of his cologne filled your senses: you lifted the daisy crown up onto his soft, ebony hair - smiling calmly.
You tilted your head as his face slowly scrunched with disgust.
"Really?" His condescending voice muttered.
Your fingers ran through his raven hair as you adjusted the light petals on each flowers, "Pretty." You smiled as Levi's expression slowly softened at the sight of your grin.
His silver eyes slowly traced down each feature of your face; the pigment of your skin; the E/C shade of your iris'; the shape of your lips when they curled into that care-free laugh.
He felt his eyes look away swiftly, as if scared that you would catch him staring at you.
A shade of light, faded pink took over his pale cheeks, his fingers lacing up to his nose to cover the shades; a subtle embarrassment took over the Captain's expression.
You tilted your head, "What's wrong, Captain?" You asked Levi in a condescending tone.
Levi's eyes locked onto your lips, then back onto your eyes; you felt your heart weaken.
He lifted his chin, "Since I'm so 'secretive', do you want to know what I'm thinking about right now.. Y/N?"
You swallowed, swiftly nodding your head with a weakened expression.
Levi slowly ran his fingertips against his ebony hair to pull away the daisy's, before you watched his face lean in slightly, tempting you to lean the rest of the way. Your heart raced beneath your blouse, watching his brooding eyes lazily half-close.
You leaned closer: your lips just two inches away from each over.
He raised his hand along your neck, slowly tracing up your jaw, before cupping around your cheek. His thumb stroked your skin calmly.
"Y/N?"
"Levi?"
His expression was both soft and serious whilst his eyes stayed focused on your lips, his breaths against your lips as he spoke: "I want to kiss you.. so badly. So badly it hurts."
He paused.
"I need you.. Y/N."
"Then have m-"
He leant in closer as your eyes closed, feeling his soft lips finally melt against yours.
His kiss was gentle, his fingers still lingering against your cheek to pull you closer against him. Your heart was beating rapidly against your chest as he held you close to him.
His lips tasted sweet: you savoured the taste as you deepened into his kiss.
Levi's other hand began to trace against your body, holding firmly onto your waist. You were almost surprised by the softness: how slow his kiss was, and carefully he handled your figure as he pulled you closer.
His thumb traced down against your chin, nudging down to part your lips for him to deepen into the kiss; his tongue slowly traced patterns against yours as you felt yourself pull him closer, his chest beginning to curl against you.
You parted your lips from eachover, instantly inhaling a breath of fresh air; still holding eachover closely.
The edge of Levi's lip curled into a smirk, "So, do you still think I'm so secretive?"
A chuckle fell carelessly from your mouth as his lips instantly leaned closer to yours, kissing you once again. You smiled inbetween kisses; you felt yourself mindlessly giggle.
Levi's hand travelled to your back, his fingers lurking barely beneath your shirt; he drew patterns against a soft spot of your skin.
You never knew how badly you'd craved his touch until now; you never knew how good a persons lips could taste.
You finally felt Levi pull away, his forehead leaning against yours. You could feel his breaths against you.
"I.. like you, Y/N." Levi whispered to you.
Your eyes lit up, "I like you too, Levi."
