''Merry Christmas.'' Mikey announced as he walked into the church, making sure that (Y/n) was behind him while they were approaching Taiju.
The group watched the duo dumbfounded, confused that Mikey was here and that (Y/n) wasn't in the hospital as Baji said he would bring her there.
''What are you guys doing here...on a day like this?'' Mikey asked, looking around the church in boredom. Nobody spoke for a moment, guilt or shock still clouding their minds. (Y/n) on the other hand looked at her friends in relief, happy to see they were alive, but pretty much beat up. ''I will go assist Yuzuha-san, she seems to need help the most right now.''
Mikey looked at the said girl for a moment and nodded his head, the returning his attention back to Taiju. Smiling softly, (Y/n) ran over to girl and kneeled down in fron of her. ''Thank God... I was worried we wouldn't make it on time. But I am grateful you are alright.''
Yuzuha blushed a little and nodded her head, looking down at the ground.
''Thank you for worrying..But what about you?''
''Just a few bruises and scratches I guess, it could be worse.''
(Y/n) answered, returning her attention back on Mikey as he called out for her.
''Keep Yuzuha and yourself away from this, go to the back.''
Nodding her head, she helped the hazel haired girl up and walked to stand behind the rest of Toman. ''Mikey, I am sorry. This is all my fault. I broke the peace agreement I had made, due to my own irresponsibility. We are fighting them now, as you can see.''
They turned their attention back to Mitsuya, who was bowing in front of Mikey. The blomde kept silent for a moment, his eyes traveling from Mitsuya's broken form, to those of the other Toman members.
Meanwhile, Kokonoi looked over at (Y/n)'s beat up figure, wondering how she was still standing.
''Hey (Y/n)...why are you not at the hospital? Baji-san said he would bring you there.''
Takemichi spoke up, walking closer to the girl as Mitsuya and Hakkai turned their attention to her.
The girl looked at the boy for a moment, unsure what to answer.
''I just felt like I should be here... I didn't want to leave you guys on your own, since I am partially at fault here too, for not speaking up on time. I am glad to see you all alive, I was worried what we might walk into.'' (Y/n) admitted as Takemichi nodded his head, happy to see the old (Y/n) again, and not the hostile one from a few hours ago. ''You are stupid.'' Inui announced as (Y/n) turned her attention to him, Chifuyu quickly standing in front of the girl, glaring daggers at him. ''Shut up.''
''So? I am not leaving my friends behind, they mean the world to me. And I guess it means doing stupid shit for them.''
The boys and Yuzuha blushed for a moment, but the moment turned sour for them as well, hearing the word 'friends' hurt more than they expected.
'Well, it's not like she will outright say she has a crush on me...' Takemichi thought nervously. 'Friend? Does she really not see me as more than that? I need to fix this somehow.. Chifuyu thought, hiding his disappointment as much as he could.
'Oh yeah...it's not like she will magically like me back just because I confessed...I would be considered lucky if she is willing to look at me the same way,after she finds out I lied about everything.' Hakkai held back tears, realising how much he probably messed up his chances with her.
Yuzuha's grip on the girl's arm tightened as she glared on the ground.
'Well I do not plan on staying friendzoned forever.'
Inui let out a simple 'hmmm', surprised by the answer, but decided to keep his mout shut for the time being.
''Awww my kitten is too cute~ Risking it in order to see her friends again? I might wife you up at this point, my love~''
Kokonoi said as he picked (Y/n) out of Yuzuha's grip and hugged her tightly.
''The hell?! What do you mean 'wife up'?! All we did was argue and I hit you for the past few days!''(Y/n) asked as her heart beat picked up and her face feeling warm.
While she was embarrassed, the rest were red from the anger that was boiling up in them.
''And that was hot of you.'' Kokonoi said nonchalantly, as Inui facepalmed at his behaviour. 'Seriously? We are in the middle of a fight.' He thought, as Chifuyu walked over to the duo, trying to pull (Y/n) away, but Kokonoi wouldn't let go. ''The hell?! Let go of her before I drop kick you.''
Kokonoi looked at the blonde for a moment before smirking mockingly and shaking his head.
''Nahh. No thanks.'' Takemichi felt his fist twitch a few times, and it took everything in his power to not punch the black haired boy unconcious.
'Calm down Takemichi...(Y/n) likes you, not him. The letter she wrote was meant for you and nobody else.' ''You are weird...'' (Y/n) said as she sent a tired glare his way.
''Only for you~'' The black haired boy said, a light blush dusting his face.
''What even-''
'Wasn't he a cold hearted bastard the first time I met him?! The hell even happened?!' (Y/n) was about to ask him that, but a loud crash caught everyone's attention and they turned to watch in shock as Taiju stood over Mikey's unconcious body. The shorter boy being slammed face first into the ground by the taller.
''MIKEY?!''
''No way! Mikey!''
''Please don't tell me he...'' (Y/n) felt like her legs gave up for a moment, and if it wasn't for Kokonoi holding her at the moment, she would have fallen to the ground.
'There is no way...Mikey was defeated...'
She thought as Taiju started laughing, the bells of the church started ringing.
''Even the bell chims to bless my victory on this blessed night! I have defeated the Invincible Mikey!'' Mitsuya felt his whole body shake in rage as he watched Mikey's unconcious figure, the ran full speed at the taller.
''TAIJU YOU FUCKER!''
''Mitsuya! Don't-'' (Y/n) stopped yelling as she saw Mikey's eyes open and he slowly stood up, stopping the lavender haired boy in his tracks as well.
Confused by their shocked expressions, Taiju slowly turned around, only to see Mikey glaring up at him.
''Prayer time is over.''
He said,the cold tone in his voice causing shivers to go down (Y/n)'s spine.
'Incredible...he looks beat up, but yet not fazed at all?' Her thoughts were interrupted as Inui sighed and spoke up, clearly not fazed by the blonde. ''Give it up, Sano Manjiro. You are just a pebble in his military rule.'' Annoyed at the guys comment, (Y/n) turned to glare at the boy.
''You are all up Taiju's ass as if you are his underwear. Want some 1 on 1 time with him too?''
Inui's face turned red in embarrassment from the comment as Yuzuha snickered at it.
Kokonoi frowned and tightened his grip on her.
'Now why is she giving Inui the same treatment?'
''I just hit you with the best punch I've thrown today! Guess it will take more than one hit to shut you up.'' Taiju smiled eerily, as the rest gulped, fearing for Mikey's safety. 'Mikey...'
'Mikey-kun is in serious trouble. Not only is he losing people close to him, pne by one, but Taiju Shiba is overpowering him too...' Takemichi gulped as he watched the silent commander.
''Is this all the Invicible Mikey is made of? How diappointing.'' Taiju mocked, getting ready to punch the blonde one more time.
''This is it...'' Kokonoi heard (Y/n) mumble, his heart clenching in pain as he saw her fear stricken face.
''(Y/n)...get away from here as soon as possible. You are next on Taiju's list to kill. The first time he was stopped by Mitsuya, but I can't guarantee that we can stop him after this.'' Yuzuha warned the girl as she gor up from the ground.
The words caused Kokonoi to look at her in confusion.
''What do you mean?''
''Taiju was the one to give her all those wounds, he promised death upon her the next time she provokes him. Hakkai and I were able to hold him back all this time, but I can't say we will be successful now.''
Kokonoi gulped and looked between Taiju and (Y/n) a few times, and then at one of the broken windows.
'If I betray Taiju, the rest of the Black Dragons will be on my ass, but also...I can't let her die either. Finally someone made me feel alive again after such a long time, I will gladly risk myself for that.'
''(Y/n), on the count of three. I will pick you up and jump out of that window over there. Got it?''
He whispered to the girl, surprising her.
''Are you insane? Taiju will kill you too. Don't risk your own life for someone you just met-''
''I want to. You can't stop me.'' Kokonoi said, offering her a realy genuine smile, causing the girl to shut up and look at him for a moment.
'He...just what's up with him?' (Y/n) thought, flustered a little at how soft his expression looked.
''Taiju, that hit I took from you...was me punishing myself.'' Mikey announced, confusing not only the said leader, but also the others. ''What?'' Taiju questioned, but instead of an answer, he was kicked by Mikey in the head. The force and strength of the kick causing the taller to fall on the ground.
''Boss?'' Kokonoi muttered in shock as Inui's eyes widened.
'What just happened?'
''He really did it. Mikey defeated Taiju.'' (Y/n) smiled, her legs growing numb and her word turning black. 'Thank God...everyone is safe now...' Were her last thought as Kokonoi dragged her to the ground with him. ''(Y/n)...is it the wounds?'' The black haired boy wondered in worry, putting his hand on her forehead. 'She is burning up! No wonder, outside it's freezing cold.'
''Let her go.'' Kokonoi felt shivers go down his spine as he looked up at Mikey, who was glaring in return. "We need to get her to the hospital. She probably has a fever-''
''And I will bring her there.''
Mikey interrupted him, annoyed at the closeness between the two and pulled the girl up bridal style.
''If you value your own life, you will stay away from her.'' Mikey warned as everyone stared at his retreating figure in shock.
Kokonoi got over it in a matter of moments and glared at the blondse back, clenching his fists.
'Who does he think he is?' Mikey looked emotionlessly at the path in front of him, and then looked down at (Y/n)'s sleeping form, his eyes slowly softening.
'I lost important people in my life...my parents, my older brother, my childhood friends are in jail...all of that was bearable, but one thing I won't allow to happen is lose (Y/n) too. She is the only light I have at this point and the one who gave me enough strength during this fight. Anyone wo dares to hurt her...should die.'
Mikey's grip on her for tightened. ''Where do you think you are going?!''
The boy stopped as he heard Taiju yell and turned to his figure.
''This isn't over, Toman! Koko, call our soldiers inside! We will have 100 of our best men against them!''
The said boy reluctantly walked over to the door, hoping that Mikey will finish them off soon enough and get (Y/n) out of here. But what he saw in front of the church made him silently sigh in relief.
''Taiju, the Black Dragons are strong, but they can't create a new era. You are stong, but you have no heart. We are going to create a new age. So just sit back and watch.''
Taiju scowled even more at those words and called out for Kokonoi again.
''Kokonoi, bring in the soldiers, like I told you!'' Kokonoi sighed and hid the relief with a disappointed tone. ''Boss, we lost.'' The words caused Taiju to get up and walk over to the entrance of the church, only to fall on the ground when he saw all the Black Dragons men laying unconscious on the ground, and two figures sitting on the steps.
''Oh, is it finished?'' Draken asked as both him and Baji turned to look at the stunned Taiju.
''Can one of you tell Mikey we are done here? And that I will kick his ass for teh stunt he pulled.''
Baji asked as he got up to approach Taiju, Draken following him close behind.
''Yeah, we got scolded pretty hard by the nurses because (Y/N) wasn't in her bed, probably guessed one of us took her away.'' Draken said, annoyed at his friend's behaviour. His annoyance growing even more as he heard Mikey's laughter.
''She was the one who wanted to go.'' ''And at some point you say 'no', Mikey!'' Baji's yell rang through the whole church as snow kept falling more and more.
'The Black Dragons lost...So that means, I am free from this bullshit too.' Kokonoi thought, looking over at (Y/n)'s sleeping figure with a softer expression.
The whole time Inui watched him with a raised eyebrow.
'(Y/n) (L/n)...what does she have to make him act this irrational?'
