Warning: Cursing, Violence
Opinions on me making a My Hero Academia Version of Two Kings?
Also! Please Read this for context in this chapter!
In the official cannon Journey to the West, it is said that a DAY in the Celestial Realm is a YEAR on earth. So when I describe time for the Two Kings as being HOURS in the Heavens, it's actually DAYS back on earth. The same goes for MINUTES being HOURS, and SECONDS being MINUTES...does that make sense?
Dìdi=Younger Brother
Gods of varying strengths and sizes shivered in fear, as the sounds of fighting nearby echoed from Third Lotus Prince Nezha's palace, an ornate gold and pink building, constructed for the singular purpose of protecting the map of the Samadhi Fire.
Normally, the deities wouldn't bat an eye when fighting broke out, due to the many black hearted demons trying their in stealing the map, in order to gain the immense power that came with such a prize....
But these weren't any ordinary demons, no. This was the Monkey King and Grand Shadow General Liu'er Mihou. An unstoppable pair known throughout history, and feared by all, gods and demons alike.
Well...all except for three gods in particular. The Buddha, Guan Yin, and Nezha. The last of which our pair was currently fighting.
Now, you're probably wondering why I described the two as a general and his king, instead of their true nature as husbands, right? Well, that's because only The Four Stalwart Generals, The Two Kings, and MK's family knows of the union between our two--overpowered--simians.
Now then, back to the fight.
Sun Wukong gritted his teeth, as he struggled to block the young prince's spear, the last few hours of fighting really draining his magic, Macaque having agreed to stay hidden until the time was right. And, given the time limit that the Lady Bone Demon was 'oh-so-generous' to bestow upon them, both kings were really feeling the pressure of this fight's outcome weighing down on them.
Forcibly backed into a wall, head barely able to dodge as the spear impaled the wall, Monkey King chuckled with a slightly nervous tone, "You've gotten better at welding your spear Nezha, Taiyi Zhenren would be proud."
The Fire-Tipped Spear wiggled slightly, before dislodging itself from the wall, and flying back to it's master, who appeared in a wave of flames, twirling the weapon around and landing across from his simian opponent, standing upon the Wind Fire Wheels.
"Your pitiful attempts to steal the Samadhi Fire map are in vain," Nezha almost growled, his appearance a bit disheveled from the fighting, alongside the male's temper simmering due to Wukong wearing down his patience. "The seal I cast upon this map guards it from all whom wish to steal it, even you, Sun Wukong."
"Yeah, I noticed the first time around kiddo," Said king winced, thinking back on his reckless first attempt to snatch the map, only for him to get blasted back into the wall. "Gotta' hand it to you though, not just anyone is able to cast such a strong spell that even I can't get through. You're really improving."
"That silver tongue of yours won't save you now simian!!" The armored god snapped, face slightly tinted pink from the compliment, as his younger self often looked up towards the king and his generals, for their strength and cunning...as well as not being used to compliments.
"What?! Can I no longer give compliments to my dìdi?" The golden eyed king cooed, tail swaying in a teasing manner.
"You really shouldn't tease him like that," Macaque's voice whispered into his husband's ear, from where the darker simian resided in the lighter one's shadow. "You know how the young prince is with compliments and teasing."
Nezha's eye twitched, his face getting darker in embarrassment, "You...." The black and red haired man's knuckles turned white from how hard he gripped the spear. "YOU DAMMED MONKEY!!"
Sun Wukong couldn't help but cackle, using the wall to propel himself forwards, and dodge the oncoming attack from the Lotus Prince's spear, his laughter only getting louder at the red that engulfed Nezha's face. A fire sparked in the prince's ruby eyes, as his brilliant pink flames grew larger with anger, making Monkey King smirk.
"You have protected the secrets of this map and it's rings for years," Nezha shouted, using his Huntian Cloth to grapple the ginger monkey, right into the floor, leaving behind a massive crater. "Why now have you decided to try and break the oath you swore to your master all those years ago?!"
"I can't tell you that kiddo," Wukong sighed, his familial instincts, and the guilt of getting MK and the others involved already, telling him not to get anyone else involved. "All I can say, is that this is important. It's the only reason I would have for stealing the map!"
A look of hurt briefly flashed in the god's eyes, at the--assumed--lack of trust the Monkey King seemed to have in Nezha, despite that not being the case.
Stopping dead in his tracks to, once more, catch the spear as the prince brought it down to strike, Wukong huffed and looked up, "Listen, I know that you feel I'm breaking my oath, but trust me, I'm only using this as a last resort. So..."
The prince gained a confused look.
"That's why I've been keeping you busy."
Gasping in horror, Nezha turned around right as Macaque had managed to reach the seal, being yanked back when he attempted to stop the shadow user by Sun Wukong.
"NO!" The demon turned god cried out. "You do that, and the seal will--!"
"Break and destroy us, we know," The shadow king sighed, a brief flash of MK, Mei and Ming ran through the tanned monkey's mind, raising a paw to summon forth his magic. "But like Wukong said...this is our last chance."
Nezha grew pale as the seal he worked so hard to create, shattered like glass before his very eyes, Macaque quickly grabbing the map and using his kaiju to shield the immortal trio as a huge blast of pink magic washed over them....turning everything black.
When Nezha came to, he felt stiff and in a bit of pain, but otherwise was in decent condition given the large surge of power, the damage not as detrimental thanks to Macaque's monster shielding all of them.
Speaking of the monkey, he was seen patching up the prince, as Wukong sat next to him...inspecting the map.
"You're awake...good," The 'general,' gave a forced--and quite worried--smile. "Give it a week or two earth time and you'll be back on your feet in no time...don't push yourself little one...okay?"
"Y-you--"
"I said--" Macaque was cut off by a wave of blue energy, his and Wukong's fur puffing up in fear as they looked out at the source.
"The kids!!" Both simians cried out, not bothering to cover up what they just said, in favor of Wukong stuffing the map into his belt, and summoning forth a cloud for them to blast off on, in the direction of the eerie glow...
"And that's basically what happened," Sun Wukong summarized with a sigh, as Mei and an already patched up Macaque did the same for him, hissing when they applied antiseptic to a wound, the duo rebandaging the king's wounds in order to keep them clean and infection free.
Frowning, Pigsy stood up and walked over to the edge of the airship, Tang following close behind to sooth his husband, whilst Sandy mearly stayed silent in thought.
As for MK and Ming, the elder's tail flicked in worry over both sets of parents, and the younger rested in his lap, having passed out a while ago from exhaustion, the emotional stress of seeing her grandmother get frozen in ice, her brother and sister getting stripped of their powers, and parents both looking badly injured taking a toll on the poor child.
To put it lightly, moral had been low on the ship for the past week they'd been forced to leave the city, in order to escape the Lady Bone Demon.
Speaking of what happened for the past week, the group had been pleasantly surprised to find out that Monkey King both had a passion for sewing clothes, himself having made his original outfit before demanding one from the Dragon Kings.
Why is this necessary information you might ask? Well, because of the sudden 'vacation,' nobody in the group had been prepared with proper clothing so Wukong was kind enough to make them some, using fabric Sandy had on-hand thanks to an old hoarding habit of his, the water demon having tried to take sewing classes in the past, but not being able to do it quite so easily, due to how large his fingers were.
MK's normal outfit and favorite jacket was still in good condition, but with the added patch in the front of the Flower Fruit Mountain royal crest, of Wukong's old filet in the shape of a heart, the trans colors beautifully decorating the inside of said jacket patch.
For Ming, the young one wore an orange sunset skirt with white stars decorating the bottom, and a white button-up blouse. Alongside purple leggings, black flats, and a pale yellow bow tied up under the blouse collar. Ming's hair was in loose ponytail tied by a cyan cloth, and her royal crest was pinned to the dark blue--nearly black--belt, two ribbons falling over the skirt. Finally, was the jacket, a two color blue and white, the lighter shade of blue decorating most of the clothing, with the darker blue adorning the sleeves, white lotuses dotting all around the jacket.
For Mei, she wore button-up shorts that went up to her stomach in a nice shade of grayish-blue, and a cream white short sleeve top, a light green dragon scale pattern decorating the top right corner. She also wore two shade green jacket, with her dragon crest on the back, and a purple choker necklace around her neck.
Pigsy, Tang and Sandy insisted on their normal attire. As for Wukong and Macaque...
The Golden King wore his old yellow Tang Suit top, maroon red harem pants tied up with his tiger skin, and black and white heeled boots. MK had also, luckily, kept the king's old red scarf when he'd allowed the cub to borrow it to keep warm one cold morning. A simple, but effective outfit....one so similar to the one he wore in his original journey.
As for Macaque, his outfit was close to his husbands, a dark pink scarf he'd lent to Ming the same say MK borrowed Wukong's, purple--sleeveless--Tang suit top and dark blue harem pants, with a puffy sleeved top underneath, a cloud pattern decorating the ends, as a lighter pink belt tied the whole thing together...and black and white heeled boots to match.
Truly, the pinnacle of fashion.
"So then...what's the plan, exactly?" MK asked, dark circles starting to appear under the teen's eyes due to the past week's lack of sleep, nightmare's plaguing the young one's mind, who kept his voice low in order not to wake his sister, who'd also had trouble sleeping...even when both themselves, Mei and the kings had all slept in a cozy nest of blankets and pillows together, all five still had trouble sleeping.
"We're going to be honest little cub, our options our...limited," Macaque sighed, putting away the medical supplies, shoulders slumped tiredly as he leaned on his husband's shoulder, the pair curling their tails together. "Especially since this plan is a last resort method...and a dangerous one at that."
"How dangerous?" Pigsy's voice had the six of them--don't forget that Sandy is there--look up to where the noodle husbands were now rejoining the group.
"The Shamadi Fire is an uncontrollable force of nature, that even I can't hope to withstand..." Monkey King began to explain. "Years ago, my master was called upon to help seal the fire away, but due to how strong it was, we had to do so in three rings, that were all placed within their own hidden locations. The ones who took part in the ritual, were myself, Macaque, my Master, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, Ao Ji, Demon Bull King, and Third Lotus Prince Nezha."
"Nezha, Wukong and DBK were the ones to form the rings, and hide them away," Macaque continued. "We only know of the hiding place of the ring Sun was given, not of DBK's or Nezha's unfortunately...at least...not without this map."
Showing the group the scroll briefly, before opening said parchment down on the metal floor of the ship--Monkey King made sure to hold the paper down with weights--that depicted the location of each ring.
"My ring is hidden near Lantern City," The golden king picked up where his husband left off, pointing to each image in turn. "I'm guessing from this drawing that Nezha hid his with Chang'e, the moon goddess...which means that DBK....."
The group all sweatdropped at where the Bull King's ring was hidden.
"He kept it this whole time..." Mei deadpanned with a face palm, shaking her head and sighing.
"Ten bucks says it's his nose ring," MK looked over at his draconic sister with a smirk.
"Oh, you're on," The teenage girl gave an equally mischievous smirk right back, the pair ignoring the looks of disbelief they'd received at their sudden competition announcement.
"So if this fire is as dangerous as you say it is...why are you so set on using it anyways?" Tang spoke up, worried over the pair of demon monkey's safety.
"I...I'm hoping to use the fire to burn away the Lady Bone Demon, before resealing it in the rings," Wukong bit his lip nervously, fiddling with his tail slightly.
"But you said the fire can hurt even you," Sandy finally spoke up, after listening quietly for some time.
"It can, but only after a little while," The immortal monkey explained. "Which is why I'm hoping to grab the fire, burn her away, then seal it up quick enough before it does too much damage."
"This is one of your, more, less thought out plans...isn't it?" A certain, noodle-loving scholar deadpanned.
Not saying a word, the ginger monkey only nodded.
"I...I don't know how much I like this plan," Pigsy grumbled out, pinching the bridge of his nose with a sigh. "But if it gets our home back, gets rid of that bitch, and we keep the kids safe...then I guess it's worth a shot."
"That's the spirit!~" Monkey King cheered.
Right as a blast hit the side of the airship.
