I spent the next several hours deciding how I would help L'Manburg win this fight, without hurting the Dream Team.
I ultimately decided that I'd just have to go in there and help defend them as much as I could, while dealing as little damage as possible. It'd be difficult, but I was willing to try.
A little while after I had heard Clay go in his room, I decided that I'd try to stop him one last time.
I got up from my desk, and walked across the hall to his bedroom, before knocking on the door. "Clay..?" I said, softly.
"Come in." He said. I opened the door, and walked over to his bed, sitting down next to him. "If you're here to try and convince me not to go through with this, then I suggest you leave."
"Clay, please just talk through this with me. No yelling, no fighting, just talking.. okay?" He sighed. "Fine." I smiled slightly.
"Are you sure that you want to go through with this..? After all, you promised me that you weren't going to hurt them.. I can't just sit and watch my only family left being attacked."
"Y/N I am 100% positive I want to do this. That was a stupid promise that I made at a stupid time. I get it, they're you're family and whatever- but we're your family now! Don't you see? We love you more than they ever did! I love you more than they ever did.." He said, raising a hand to my cheek.
"Don't you get it? This is for you! Our lives will be so much better with them out of the way, darling. Just trust me, alright? I won't hurt them. I just need to scare them away! I promise!"
He seemed so genuine. I nodded, believing him. "Now.. It's late. Why don't we head to bed, alright?" He said. "Alright.." I replied, mind still racing with thoughts and questions. We both changed into our sleep clothes, before laying down next to each other in his bed.
"I love you, Y/N."
"I love you too, Clay."
The Next Morning
————————-
I woke up to lots of yelling coming from the living room. I got up and walked in there, to see all three of my "roommates" In their enchanted netherite armor, wielding their swords. I gulped. Nick looked at me with a guilty look.
I was confused as to why, since Clay said that they were only going to scare the L'Manburgians, and not actually hurt them.
I thought for a moment, deciding that it would still be best if I warned my brothers. "I'm.. gonna go for a walk." I said, exiting the house and running towards the L'Mamburg walls. When I finally got inside, Tommy was standing there. "Y/N!" He yelled, excitedly.
"Tom!- G- get Wi- Wilbur!" I said, out of breath. Tommy nodded, before leaving. A few moments later be arrived back with Wilbur.
"Oh, hey Y/N!" He said, cheerfully. "Wilbur! Dream- He's doing it today! He told me he was only going to scare you, and not actually hurt you all, but I thought it'd be best if I still warned you." I said.
Wilbur's eyes widened. "Okay.. thank you, Y/N. We appreciate your help." He said walking towards me, and planting a kiss on my forehead. "Now if you'll excuse us, we'll be going to prepare. Goodbye!" He said, walking away with Tommy.
"Bye!" I yelled back, turning around to jog back to Dream's house. When I finally got back, all three boys were standing at the door in their armor.
"Hey.." I said to the three. Nick smiled, George rolled his eyes, and Clay stared right through me.
"Let's go." He said, sternly. The boys began walking towards L'Manburg. I ran into my room to get my hidden chest. Inside of the chest, I had hidden Netherite armor, netherite tools, a bow, a crossbow, and some instant health pots. I quickly grabbed everything, before sprinting back to L'Manburg.
As soon as I arrived, I could tell something wasn't right.
"BACK UP." Yelled a British voice. I ran towards the voice, to see Dream, Sapnap, and George- all cornering Wilbur, swords out. Dream was about to stab him, when I quickly shoved Wilbur out of the way.
"What the hell?!" I yelled. "Wil, go get your stuff! I'll keep them occupied." I said, turning to face Wilbur for a split second. He ran off to go collect all of his gear.
"You!" I said, staring dead into the eyes on Dream's mask. "What the hell was that?!" I demanded. "Just.. a little revenge." Dream said, in an almost sweet tone.
"Y/N.. Why aren't you helping me? I am your boyfriend after all." He said, trying to play dumb.
This pissed me off more than anything, and without thinking, I swung my sword at him.
He has quick reflexes, though. Clay's sword met with make, creating a scraping sound I was sure would burst my eardrums.
"I already told you, Clay. If you're staring a fight, then I'm not fighting with you." I said, keeping his sword away from my body with my own.
"Such a shame.." Clay say, momentarily removing his sword, only to quickly swing it at my side.
His sword nicked my hip, cutting my shirt and skin in the process. I winced slightly, before regaining my composure, and swinging my sword back at him.
My goal wasn't to hurt Clay. I could never do that to my boyfriend. I love him too much. But I needed to keep him distracted, and protect my family.
Soon, Tommy, Tubbo, and Wilbur had arrived. "Y/N! Is your side alright?" Tubbo asked, frantically. "I'm fine, Tubbs." I said, giving him a reassuring nod.
Immediately after that, Sapnap lunged at Tommy, George lunged at Tubbo, and Dream lunged at George. I waited for a moment, unsure of what to do, when I saw George attempt to stab Tubbo in the stomach. Except.. it wasn't an attempt. He succeeded.
"Shit!" I yelled, running over to Tubbo. I could see the panic on Tommy's face as he glanced over at Tubbo. "Focus on Sapnap, Tom. I've got him!" I said. By this time, George has disappeared to who knows where.
I quickly grabbed my bag, and pulled out several instant health potions. I removed Tubbo's shirt, further inspecting his wound. He cried out in pain, as I gently touched the skin around the cut.
"I know, Tubbs.. You're alright. It'll be over soon, I promise." I opened up one of the bottles, slowly pouring it into the would.
Tubbo grabbed my hand, and squeezed it as tight as he could.
"You've got this, Tub! You're doing so good!" I poured the rest of the potion into the gash, before wrapping his middle torso in bandages. "There you go, bud. Give it a few seconds, and you should be good enough to at least stand." Tubbo nodded. "Thanks, Sis." He said, smiling. "Any time!"
I stood up, and looked around, only to notice that George was back, and Dream was gone. This made me nervous, considering he had already broken his promise.
Then— I got a horrible gut feeling. Something was telling me he was in the main control room. Shit. "I'll be back, boys. You stay here!" I said, sprinting off before they could answer. I got down to the control room, only to see Dream standing by the button with a chaotic smile.
"Clay, don't even think about it." I said, sternly, slowly inching towards him. "You can't stop me, Y/N! You couldn't stop the war, and you can't stop me from blowing up L'Manburg! You were never cut out for this. You were always too weak." My eyes widened. "Don't you f*cking DARE call me weak!" I yelled, rushing towards him. I raised my hand to push him, but he caught me by the wrist. Without realizing it, I had backed against the button. I tried to back up, but it was too late.

I had blown up L'Manburg.
I had blown up my home.
"NO NO NO NO NO! SHIT, PLEASE TELL ME THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN! OH MY GOD, PLEASE!" I yelled.
"F*cking pathetic." He said.
"CLAY!" I screamed, tears clouding my vision. I ran as fast as I could, back to everyone else, as TNT was exploding beneath me.
As soon as they came into my field of vision, I began screaming. "GET OUT! BACK UP. LEAVE! PLEASE! HURRY!" While ushering them out of the walls.
Once they were all out safely, I sprinted back towards where Dream was.
I could hear everyone yelling my name, but I didn't care.
I ran as fast as I could, but it was no use.
The ground was blown up beneath me, and I fell. Hard. Another round of TNT exploded. I could feel the skin on my legs tearing open, blood oozing from the open wounds.
Once I was able to stand, I ran back out of the walls.
There he was.
I stared into that stupid mask, immediately filled with rage. I stormed towards Dream, ripped his mask off, and slapped him right across the face. No one from L'Manburg (other than me) had ever seen his face, so the three other boys gasped, upon his mask being removed.
Dream stepped back, surprised by my actions. "YOU ABSOLUTE ASSHOLE! YOU PROMISED! YOU F*CKING PROMISED ME THAT YOU WOULDN'T HURT THEM OR L'MANBURG! LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO THEM? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME? I THOUGHT YOU F*CKING CARED ABOUT ME!" I screamed, not caring about the looks that I was receiving from the others.
"Y/N, they deserve this and you know it." He said, coldly. "CLAY L'MANBURG WAS MY HOME. BESIDES MY BROTHERS, IT'S ALL I HAVE LEFT! YOU F*CKING D*CKHEAD!" I yelled, tears threatening to fall. Clay looked taken aback, but quickly regained composure.
"You know better than to speak to me like that, Y/N." He said, in a warning tone. "Honestly Clay, I don't give a shit! Look what you've done! Clay, you promised!" I yelled, tears staining my once dry cheeks.
"Look.. Let's be honest. I think we all know that this war wasn't for you! I only needed to gain your trust to get the information I needed! And now look at you! " He said.
I was at a loss for words. I stared up at him blankly. My mind, however, wasn't so blank. Everything I had been through since I could remember was playing through my head.
"WHAT THE F*CK?!" Tommy screamed, stepping towards Clay, quickly followed by Wilbur and Tubbo. "Clay, what the HELL?!" Yelled Sapnap, stepping up next to my brothers.
George took this moment of distraction to pull out a crossbow, and load it with a flaming arrow. Then..
He aimed it at me.
