Crowds of students pushed and shoved me, hurrying over to the cafeteria for lunch, I tightly held onto my lunch bag to make sure it didn't fly out of my hands. Finally, I was free from the crowd of students and was able to get inside the cafeteria.
I looked around the room, trying to find where Jeremy could've been. I had no luck finding him anywhere.
Suddenly, "BOO!" Jeremy yelled. I jumped a little out of surprise.
"GAH! You startled me a little, Jerm."
Jeremy chuckled a little, "Didn't mean to. Come on, I'll lead you to my area."
My hand was tugged, which caused me to walk with him. Once we were there, Jeremy let go of my hand and we sat down.
"Soooo, how's your first school day going?" Jeremy wondered.
"To be honest, really boring. In English class, we had to write introductions and present them to the class. I was really embarrassed because I was so awkward and shy while presenting. Art class was okay, I guess."
"Same here! I don't really understand why on the first day everybody has to introduce themselves!"
I giggled a little and then grinned. I'm going to love hanging out with Jeremy, he's such a fun and silly person to be around. By now, every time I see him, he always makes me laugh or grin.
"I wanted to tell you that your jacket is really cool by the way! I always wanted those kinds of jackets."
My heart fluttered again, "Thank you, I wanted to also say that you're also really cool, Jeremy." I grinned a little, scratching the back of my head.
Jeremy flicked his yellow eyes at me, "Really? Wow!" He smiled a little.
"Yes, really. You know how to be a good friend. My day is going better because of you." My heart pounded harder.
His eyes sparked a little, "I'm glad that I made your day, Mike."
We both grinned at each other, my stomach twisted. I held his fingers as he held mine. This day was going much better than I thought it would.
