Cassandra POV
My outfit
"You've NEVER had ice cream ?!"
''No...''
''Never?! Like never?!''
"Yes, never. And I think I can live with it.''
I shook my head. "Maybe you do, but I can't, I can't live with the knowledge that the person walking next to me has NEVER had ice cream."
He sighed. "You're making it too much of a drama."
I stopped and he with me and I pointed at him. "You're the one who didn't have ice cream."
"And I live."
"Which still doesn't get in my head ..."
He put his hand on my back and led me forward. "If we go for ice cream together and I taste it, will you stop dealing with it?"
"Maybe ..." he raised an eyebrow at me. "Okay, but you pay."
"Very unexpected."
I shot him a look. "You can talk sarcasm !?"
"Let's go!" he said, pushing me forward. "We're going to breakfast."
"You should have said that right away."
___
We stand side by side with Elijah and look out the windows of the cafe. I saw Damon and Rose talking to Slater. I saw Elijah kneel down next to the guitarist and put a hundred-dollar bill in, taking the coins in his hand instead.
I watched him carefully, pouring the coins from one hand to the other. He did it again and again, after a moment, he spread his arms and tossed the coins into the windows. The glass shattered and the people shouted, hid, panicked.
Before anyone could see us, he took me with him and moved us away. He looked at me and smiled smoothly. He adjusted his buttons and looked back at me. "Now it's ice cream, am I right?"
Now it was my turn to roll my eyes at him, at his drama. "Lead the way."
"I'd love to," he put his hand on my back and led me to the nearest park.
We found an ice cream parlor and a ice cream parlor looked at us and greeted us. "Hello, what will you have? Such a lovely couple?''
I smirked, he thought we are dating, I saw Elijah's reaction. I grabbed his hand and snuggled closer to him. "Thanks, I'd like the raspberry along with the mango. And what do you want, honey?'' I smiled kindly at Elijah.
He sent me a look in front of which the others would crouch, but I'm not the others, so I smiled even more at him. "Ehmm, sure ... I'd like some vanilla and caramel. ''
The ice cream nodded in agreement. "Sure, give me a minute." We watched him prepare our order. ''Order for love-'' Elijah give him twenty bills and cut him off, quickly led me to the bench and we sat there together. I handed him his ice cream.
"How do you like it?" I turned to him with a smile,
"I admit it's good, but it's not like I can't live without it.''
"Whatever you say ..." I told him before you went quieter, and I knew he would hear. "... I still know you love it."
We sat there and talked, we ate our ice cream a long time ago but at the moment we were lazy to go anywhere. We watched the people around and the children on the playground. One child fell off the swing and I laughed and I didn't miss Elijah either.
"We're going to hell," Elijah sighed with a laugh.
"You can come with me, I have a paved road to hell for VIPs."
He laughed lightly. "I didn't know hell has a VIP."
"Since I started existing, it has been made especially for me."
We laughed together and it was obvious that he was relieved, looked relaxed, happy and carefree. It's a beautiful sight. We sat next to each other and very close. I leaned against him and he hugged me around the shoulders. "Thank you," I looked at him confused. "For everything, you're not bad company, Cass.''
I smiled at him and held his hand soothingly. "Have you ever thought you didn't need a girlfriend but a friend?"
"Do you want to be my friend?"
''Friend of the Original Vampire. That sounds good.''
___
"Good luck, Rose."
"Very nicely done."
''How can you compel me? A vampire can compel another vampire.''
"I'm a special vampire."
"What, because you're an Original?"
"Hmm... Now-"
I interrupted Elijah's another conversation. "Not many people have that much of information as you, right ?"
Elijah motioned for him to answer me. "I've been interested in the supernatural my whole life."
"Impressive," I came closer to him. "I'm also interested in the supernatural, would you say you know a lot?"
"Y-ees-s."
I nodded and pulled a folder out of my purse and handed it to him. After opening the folder and reading the information, he looked at me in horror. "You know. Good. Do you have any information about this, or could you do some research?''
"Why do you want to know something about this, almost no one even knows about its existence?"
"I know, I have some information and knowledge, but I need more, can you get it for me?"
"I think so, I have a little bit of it on my computer."
I handed him the flash drive. "Give me all the information you have."
He nodded and went to the computer. Elijah leaned over to my ear and whispered. "He must be dead, you know."
"But no one said for how long, when he will be useful he can live."
"What are you going to do?"
"You'll see in a moment."
We waited in his apartment for a while, he made me tea and he found something to eat. A lot of people don't care about me, it's my job, but it's nice even if I don't understand his concern.
I went to Slater to look at the info, I stood behind his neck and I read the information he translates into flash. "All the research I have about it is here."
"You proved useful," I smiled at him. "Did you say you played in the theater? So let's play one, what do you think?''

Elijah and I are in Richmond again and he was looking for Elena, I heard she went on a suicide mission. He parked a short distance from Slater's apartment where we were yesterday.
He got out of the car and opened the door for me so I could. He closed them behind me and offered me a frame, I accepted and we went inside. "Do you want to come with me?"
I slapped him lightly on the chest. "You're a big boy, Elijah, you can do it alone."
He rolled his eyes and smiled. ''Of course. Stay where you want, I'll find you later. '
I smiled. "I guess we'll have to play hide and seek."
After that I heard hearts ripping out of chests, appearing in front of me exactly where I've been all along. He went to grab my hand but I stepped away from him and pointed to his hands. ''Clean hands, sweetheart. I won't change just because you had to do a dramatic performance.''
A moment later we saw a black car leaving with Elena and Damon inside. Our sign to return to the apartment. The motionless, veined, and gray body lay on the ground with a stake in its chest. I crouched over my body and drew my stake. The body quickly returned to a living state and inhaled eagerly. "Welcome back to the living, Slater."
"I was dead."
"Obviously. And now be helpful," he rose from the ground and Elijah joined us. I motioned for Elijah to compel him. ''Here is my e-mail and a piece of paper with an address with new apartment, take what you want with you, but the world must think you're dead for a few months.''
''Good.''
"Okay, have a nice day and we're going," I turned and walked to the door with Elijah behind me.
___
''Let me get everything right. You were bitten, Bonnie almost died, Elena was on a suicide mission, and Stefan is now imprisoned with Katherine, who is staring in a tomb, which no one told me, and almost everything because of the bad plan that Damon devised.''
''Hey! I don't have bad plans just unfinished,'' Damon shouted into the conversation I have with Jeremy.
"I noticed."
"Ehmm ..." said Jeremy on the other side. "Yes, plus Elena is currently imprisoned in the house and a woman, Jules, has come here looking for Mason."
"You know, when I told you to watch those idiots, I didn't think you'd become one."
"It was their plan."
"It doesn't matter, I'll deal with you when I come. Which will be in a few days and maybe sooner," I smiled at him even though he couldn't see it.
"All right, bye Cassie."
"Bye Cassie," I heard Damon shout from a distance.
"Bye you two," I hung up and opened another unread message.
"Hi Cassie,
It took me a while, but I've settled. I did as you told me after saying goodbye to Tyler. Jeremy gave me your 'small' gift. And I don't know how to repay you for it, if anything, say so, now I can finally live normally, thank you. Thank you for everything.
-Mason ''
I smiled at the message, Elijah entered the kitchen and looked around until his gaze ended at me.
"Are you smiling, is it bad or good?"
"Depends" I shrugged. "But this time I helped someone, I feel weird."
"You did a good deed, that's why you feel that way," he told me with a smile, probably because my mood and emotions are contagious. "I packed for you anyway, let's go."
''What? Where? Otherwise, thanks probably.''
''To Mystic Falls, I noticed that one of your friends is a werewolf and today it is a full moon, if I am not mistaken it is his first shift,'' he explained to me and awareness had to reach my face because he laughed at my reaction.
''Let's go.''
"Looks like the adventure continues."
___
"What time is it?"
"Time for my arrival," with a smirk on my face, I approached them. Caroline and Tyler heard my voice. "I know some werewolf tricks."
Caroline hugged me. "You're back! I missed you so much and so much has happened and I don't know where to start- ''
I smiled at her. "It's nice to be back and I brought a friend with me. And we have Care all night.'' I pulled away and looked at them. "Oh, I should have taken monopolies."
"Seriously?"
"Just you, Cassie, just you."
A moment of silence followed before we all laughed. I saw Tler reaching for a bottle of water and a wolfsbane. I immediately came to him and prevented him from drinking it. ''What are you doing?''
"Do you trust me?"
"Yes."
"Then trust me in what I do. Your wolf self wants out, so let him out, and you'll see."
I laid a blanket on the floor and the three of us settled on it. I handed them a bag of food and a care bag of blood. We told them and I informed them about Elijah. I told them the truth, they don't plan on using me or anything.
''You like him. Something in him caused you interest.''
I smiled at her. "Yes, but I don't like him in the direction you're coming across."
"Come on, there must be someone like that,'' Caroline said.
"Someone will have to tame you Cassie," Tyler added.
"Hey, that's a conspiracy. And what if I have to tame him?'' I raised my eyebrows.
"Then someone will have to tame the two of you, or the cities will end up on fire."
They laughed and my cell phone rang and I looked at it. Elijah wrote, I immediately answered with a smile. When I looked back, Tyler looked sick. "I think it's starting."
I sit in front of him and looked into his eyes, the werewolf's eyes gleaming behind him. "Hey, you have to breathe deeply. Let the pain you feel engulf you. Then you will be free from trouble, from everything. ''
I saw him try to do what he said and Caroline laid her hand down in a reassuring way and stroked him. I immediately saw a change in him. His bones began to break and he moaned, roaring in pain. I motioned for the care to go behind bars, which she did.
"It hurts, it hurts."
"Let it engulf you ... believe me. Your uncle did it too. ''
He looked at me with his eyes and began to change, his bones cracking and he writhing on the ground. In less than a minute, there was silence and a wolf in the middle of the room. He stepped in deeply and then looked up at me. He wanted to growl but stopped and we looked face to face.
Tyler was free.

Elijah POV
I headed for the tomb, letting Cassie know through the news that I had negotiated with Elena, an agreement with her, and also about the tomb. Almost as soon as I sent the message, I received an answer.
"My dearest Eli, free Kat. And if you look in the inside pocket of your jacket, you have there a letter, hand it over her, I'm currently complaining that I didn't take the monopolies with me, it's going to be a long night. Thank you. Cass xoxo ''
I shook my head, and when I reached into that pocket, I actually found the letter. I have no idea how she gave it to me there, and I don't even want to know. I was in front of the tomb and my presence caught the attention of two vampires. They both looked at me in fear.
"Elijah," Katerina said with fear.
''Good evening, Katerina. Thank you for having the good sence to be frightened. You release has been requested."
''What? By who? ''
''The lovely Elena drives a hard bargain. However, we've reached a peaceful agreement, she and I. Please. Come.''
"I can't."
''Yes, you can. I 've had the spell lifted,'' I announced and Stefan walked carefully through the gate, Katherine wanted to run but I stopped her. ''As for you, however, you will not exit until I say so. When Klaus comes, he'll want to know exactly where you are,'' I compel her. ''You're free to go. Elena will explain the arrangement to you. If she keeps her word, I'll keep mine,'' I said and I went upstairs from the tomb.
This was supposed to be my end of the night, I should be leaving now, but I met Cassandra. She never wanted from me to give her a promise or a word. But I gave the word to myself and I want to keep it for her.
I got back to the tomb at vampire speed. "Stefan?" Katerina asked cautiously.
"Wrong person," I announced.
She turned quickly. "Elijah."
I smiled slightly, but not at her. "You know, freedom was meant for you, too."
"I doubt it was Elena who it was?" she frowned at me.
"Cassandra," I said, and I saw the spark of something in her eyes. ''She is an interesting person. You should be grateful she's your friend, not many people would do it for you.''
"More like no one."
"You're free Katerina, you can leave the tomb," I told her, and she looked at me with something I've never seen in her.
''Really?''
I nodded and pulled out a letter. "And she told me to give it to you," without hesitation, she opened the letter and read what was in it, a smile on her lips. "Your relationship is definitely special."
She laughed. "It's actually simple. I'm a bitch and I'll confess. But we're just two fucking bitches together. "
"Take your chance at life, Katerina, you never know how many you'll get. Until our paths cross again,'' I said goodbye and left the tomb. After a moment, I heard footsteps behind me.
"You know ..." she began. "When I was human, I loved you. I did, but it's in the past. Vampirism and 500 years of running changed me, I even thought I would not love again but she gave me hope and thanks to her I love. Not only do I love her as my friend, but as a younger sister, but I even fell in love.''
"I guess he's lucky," I smiled at her.
"Actually, uh ... He's her."
"I'm really glad you found your people, Katerina."
''Me too. A piece of me, the little human part that loved you, still exists. Have a nice life, Elijah, and if you have Cassie by your side, you will get everything you wanted or desired, even if you don't know it yet. You will get the happiness that has been taken away from you all your life. I telling you that no one like her will never exist," she smiled and disappeared in the woods.
I thought about what Katerina said about Cass and smiled.
She's right, no one like her exists and never will.
Real happiness.
It can't be bought or produced.
This happiness is lived and is lived to the fullest...
