"I-I'm-"
"s-so t-tired-" Minhee collapsed in the middle of the dance studio as sweat began to trickle down her forehead
"I k-know-" Another body laid next to her, starring at the ceiling
It was a little after midnight and the youngest maknae's were hard at work.
Sneaking into the dance studio after hours wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do, but it didn't stop Minhee and Jungkook. It almost became a nightly ritual for the 97's.
One night Minhee came to the studio dressed in her dance attire when she swung the door open to reveal the other maknae in the middle of his own rehearsal.
Minhee would show up and Jungkook was there-
Jungkook would show up and Minhee was there-
Noticing this pattern; the boy and the girl both decided they should just start going to the studio together.
"Jungkook-ah-" Minhee turned her head to face the boy
"Do you think we'll make it?"
"Do you think we'll debut?"
He honestly wasn't sure himself. All Jungkook could do was stare into her bright brown eyes
"I hope so-" He responded as the last track on his playlist ended
Sitting up letting her medium length hair down, Minhee began to gather her things
"We should go to sleep, it's late-"
"Yeah-" Jungkook went to grab his things heading to the door waiting for Minhee before he could lock up
"Goodnight jk-"
"Night Minnie-"

The Next Day
"I heard Bang PD found our eighth member-"
"Really?" The girl turned to Taehyung who was sitting next to her on the couch
"That's why we're all here-" Suga went on as they all gathered in the lounge
"Like when we meet Hyung and Minhee-ah-"Jungkook pointed at the duo
Minhee actually was kind of excited. Nervous, but excited. This makes number eight. The last member. After this, they will be a complete group.
All waiting in anticipation, the front doors finally opened revealing Bang PD followed by the newest member.
"All right kids, this is it." Their manger smiled stepping aside for the member to introduce himself
"Hello-" The boy flashed a smile, quickly bowing in respect
"I am Park Jimin, nice to meet you all."
Immediately after the boy said his name, Minhee stiffened. There's just something about Koreans having the same last name... that... a connection is instantly formed.

The first word to describe Jimin in Minhee's eyes was-
Cute.
He was dressed formally. A light blue button down shirt with a pair of slacks and dress shoes, but had his own style. With a backwards hat on, a silver watch and small stud earrings.
His outfit screamed-
'I'm trying to look cool, but underneath I'm just a little marshmellow'
Or at least that's what Minhee imagined.
Who knew years later she would be absolutely correct.
Jimin obviously looked nervous with the way he was standing, the girl could understand that. She felt the same exact way. But the difference was, that Minhee had Taehyung by her side taking half the spot light... where as opposed to Jimin, he had all of it.
As they went though the line of introducing themselves, it was now Minhee's turn after Seokjin.
"Hello there-" The girl shyly waved
"My name is Park Minhee, nice to meet you-" She bowed as a small smile formed on Jimin's face
They learned a lot about their new member.
Jimin and Taehyung actually knew each other given that they went to the same high school together. What a coincidence.
Of course Taehyung would be the first one to interact. He was such a social butterfly. Minhee was actually quite envious of that trait of his.
He would be the fifth addition to the vocal line, Jimin was an incredible dancer; He showed the group the aerials and flips her can do in the practice room, a fellow 95 liner (With V) and learned he was from Busan which peaked interest in Jungkook.
"Hey, I-"
"Did you see how cool that was?"
Minhee tried to interact with Jimin.
Although every time she tried, Taehyung or Jungkook would cut her off. Not on purpose of course, they were just excited. Understandable. They all were.
But...
It wasn't fair.
There was plenty of time to bond with their newest member, so there was no rush. Minhee let the boys be boys as she watched their boisterous figures laugh it up.
But little did she know that Jimin was stealing glances at her every moment he could.

Later that night
'That's weird, the lights are on-'
It was 11:30 p.m as Minhee opened the doors to the practice room. She wore all black head to toe (Tank top and tights) with an over sized hoodie having her hair up in a high ponytail.
Maybe Jungkookie was already here?
That couldn't be the case though. Lately herself and Jungkook have been going to the dance studio together-
So this had to be someone else.
Placing her duffle bag on the bench, music started to play. It was an instrumental arrangement... which made Minhee ponder.
'Yeah, Jungkook would not have chosen that-'
Turning around the corner the girl's eyes slightly widened.
It was their newest member.
Jimin.
He was in the midst of dancing to a contemporary piece. The way his body flowed from one movement to the next was... just one word.
Mesmerizing.
Watching his performance, left the girl in a trance. He was amazing.
As the song was coming to a close, Jimin struck his ending pose breathing heavily. This time he was without a hat on, having his fluffy dark brown hair on display; wearing a white shirt and adidas track pants.
The reflection from the mirror soon caught his eye noticing the girl in the right hand corner... and when he did, the boy jumped as if his life depended on it.
"I've b-been c-coming here for l-late n-night practice!! I d-didn't know s-someone w-would be here!" She spazzed
Immediately, Minhee apologized bowing multiple times. Seeing him jump back in fear had her also frightened.
Jimin starred dumbfounded at the apologetic girl. He watched her bow consistently as if she was apologizing for her crimes. He actually found it quite humorous.
Quite cute.
"You're... Minhee?" Jimin questioned stopping the girl in her tracks remembering her name.
"I didn't get to speak to you much today-"
"I know-" Minhee looked down bashfully as she walked forward taking a seat on the wooden floor next to him
"Everyone was so excited... I figured I'd have time to share with you when the moment arises-"
"And here's your moment-" Jimin matched smiles with her as they began conversing
It was so weird for Minhee though. Usually it takes her awhile when she meets new people, but with Jimin... it was different. It was easy.
They learned how many similarities they both share. First, their birthday's literally being within the same week was a big one.
Libra gang.
They enjoy spicy food, love cartoons and are both very flexible.
Minhee then went on to talk about the other members and their personalities.
Such as Jin being the funniest (In her eyes at least)
J-Hope, the best dancer-
Namjoon being a leader that you can count on-
and so on.
Listening to Minhee describe each and every member of BTS, it did give the boy reassurance. Being the last member to join knowingly with the least amount of training... it was a lot of pressure.
And Jimin was rightfully nervous... because who wouldn't be?
"So what brings you here so late at night?" Minhee questioned catching the boy by surprise
Stumbling on his words with 'um's' and 'ah's' mixed in his sentences, he rubbed the back of his neck, ear's slightly red. Noticing his uncomfortableness, Minhee jumped
"It's okay you don't have to say nothing, it's my fault for asking-"
"I come here every other night to practice my dancing-" She continued on before the boy could reply
"I think I get intimidated easily when we learn new choreography, so I come here and practice at night-"
"My mind just goes blank and I stumble though the steps-" Minhee laughed at herself
She remembers standing in the back of the dance studio with Jin as they were so lost in the choreography laughing like maniacs because they didn't know what the heck they were doing as Hoseok and Taehyung shined in the front.
The girl couldn't understand it, she was telling their newest member one of her biggest insecurities... or maybe being apart of Bangtan Sonyeondan has changed her.
"It's been a-a long d-day..." Jimin stuttered as Minhee watched him
"And I just wanted to be alone-"
Realizing what he just said, Minhee froze. He was here before her after all... If Minhee wasn't so oblivious she probably would've realized.
'How could I be so stupid-' She sighed under her breath
"Oh-"
"I'm sorry I interrupted-" Minhee readied herself to get up as Jimin's eyes widened noticing her quick saddened expression
"N-N-No! That's not w-what I meant-" The boy uttered placing an arm on her shoulder signalling her to stay
This moment in time, being with Minhee... was the most comfortable he's been all day. He felt relaxed around her; all of his walls were down. Who knew that years later, he would be on his knees thanking her for this very moment.
If it wasn't for Minhee, his walls would've been up for months.
"I was v-very nervous today-" Jimin admitted evading eye contact
"And dancing... it helps me-"
Silence filled the room as the moment passes.
"I was very nervous too-" Minhee softly spoke catching Jimin's attention
"But me and Taehyungie joined Bangtan at the same time..."
"and to be honest, I practically never left his side in the beginning-" Her cheeks burned in embarrassment as she laughed
Just admitting that out loud made the girl cringe.
"But were like a mini family now-" She turned to the boy
"and we just needed Park Jimin to complete it."
Hearing that, was probably one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to him. It even left Jimin speechless himself.
"Thank you Minhee-ssi..." His ears were tinted red as he bashfully covered his cheeks causing Minhee to cutely smile with her dimples on full display
"Sure-"
As moment passed and conversations changed, Minhee asked how he did his aerial earlier and Jimin got up and showed her a demonstration.
Minhee vowed to herself that once day, she'll pull it off.
From this point onward they were showing off their 'Party tricks' to one another. This time it was Minhee's turn.
She showed him her front walkover into a split.
"See I can do cool things too~" Minhee smiled as she rose her arms above her head still in the splits position making Jimin chuckle
"Well then, I think we have something special Minhee-ah-"
Jimin collapsed laying next to her starring up at the ceiling once. Noticing, Minhee leaned her back against the wooden floor turned to the boy with a smile
