Aegon "Alex" Targaryen
I walk towards our bed chamber to see how Daenerys is doing. She does not have many pregnancy symptoms, but occasionally she does throw up or feels a bit tired. I try to help her as much as possible to lessen the load. That is why I am currently going to her to see if I have to take over her duties.
As I open the door to our bed chamber, I see her laying in bed reading a book. I think I should perhaps write some of the things down I know of my world. Earth is certainly more advanced in many of the fields compared to this world.
"Dany, how are you feeling today? Can I get you anything?" I ask her as I walk towards her. Daenerys looks up and smiles as she sees me approach. "No, thank you, love. I have all I need here, and I can always ask Irri or Missandei if I need anything." I nod and sit next to her. "I know that, but I am still going to ask. Should I speak with the supplicants today or do you want to do it?" I ask her.
Daenerys sighs a bit. "I don't have the energy to deal with so many issues of other people. Could you do it today?" she asks. I place a kiss on her forehead. "Of course, you take it easy. Perhaps we can take a walk in the afternoon?" Daenerys smiles softly as she nods. "Sounds like a wonderful idea. I will see you soon," she says. "I hope so... there are sometimes more than a hundred people in line," I sighed. Daenerys chuckles.
"Well, I better get going. Why don't you think about our marriage ceremony? We need to plan something," I say and stand up from the bed. "Will do, good luck with the supplicants, love."

As I enter the throne room, I am met by the two knights and Missandei. The knights are there to protect Daenerys usually or me when I take over. At our room, at the top of the Pyramid, is a great number of Unsullied that is guarding every entrance. I don't think an assassin will assassinate us in our room, but I rather not risk it. Another thing that is now common is that people have been calling me 'Your Majesty' instead of 'my prince'. Daenerys officially named me king since we will marry soon. It was only a matter of time, but it still feels rather strange.
"Good morning, Barristan, Jorah, and Missandei. Daenerys is not feeling to well, so I will be taking over her duties for today," I greet them. "We will guard you as you speak to them, Your Majesty," Barristan says. "I'm thankful as always, Barristan. And to you as well, Missandei, for translating," I say as I sit down in the uncomfortable stone chair. "Of course, Your Majesty," Missandei smiles. "My god, this chair is uncomfortable," I mumble. Missandei chuckles and motions to the Unsullied to let the first one in.
From the entrance, a well-dressed man and what I think is a servant walk in. Missandei clear her throat slightly. "You stand before Aegon of House Targaryen, King of Meereen, King of the Andals, Rhoynar and the First Men, and Breaker of Chain." I may not be as many as Daenerys, but still, it was more than I had a year ago.
The servant bows and starts to speak in High Valyrian. "The noble Hizdahr zo Loraq begs for an audience with His Majesty," the servant says. "Has Hizdahr zo Loraq lost his voice that he has you speaking for him?" I ask in High Valyrian. "No, Your Majesty. I am only here to announce him. Hizdahr zo Loraq wishes to speak with you," the servant says. "Well, he has to wait. You asked for my attention first. Is there anything you want to discuss with me?" I ask him. Missandei glances in surprise at me but quickly resumes a neutral gaze. The knights say nothing as they stand behind me.
The man looks surprised as he blinks a few times. Hizdahr frowns slightly. "I-I have nothing to discuss with you, Your Grace," the man says. "Very well," I say and turn to Hizdahr. "Hizdahr zo Loraq, I meant no disrespect, but I do not tolerate showmanship. If you have something to discuss and say to me, you speak the words yourself. Not through someone else. How can I be of service?" I say to Hizdahr.
I think Hizdahr is hiding his irritation or annoyance. He keeps his face in a neutral expression as he walks towards me. It could also be that he expected it. I have taken Daenerys' place a few times, and always handled things the same.
"King Aegon. The tales of your strong headedness were not exaggerated," the noble says with a slight bow. I sigh very softly. It is tiresome to keep hearing empty words. "What is it you wish to discuss, Hizdahr," I ask the noble. "Mine is one of the oldest and proudest families in Meereen," he says. "That is good to be aware off, but I asked what you wish to discuss. Many good citizens of Meereen have things to bring to my attention. I am sure you understand that everyone deserves to be heard, and time is limited. Please, try to stay on point," I say rather irritated.
"Of course, Your Grace. I wish to talk about my father. He was responsible for the maintenance of many of landmarks in Meereen. He currently resides in your dungeon. I pray that you never have to experience that a family member is treated so cruelly," he says. I sigh deeply. "I do not wish to be cruel or emotionless. But all those that are imprisoned are awaiting trial and are treated well. He may have done nothing wrong, or he may have done terrible things. We are determining his guilt for the decision of the crucifixion of the children. It takes time," I explained.
"My father spoke out against the crucifixion of those children. He decried it as a criminal act, but was overruled," he explains. "Perhaps that's true. However, you are biased in this and we need to determine his guilt objectively. You should be grateful. We first wanted all the leaders of each of the great family executed, but we chose a fairer way of dealing with the issue. You should be thankful, Hizdahr."
He looks shocked and horrified at the thought. "Your Grace..." he manages to say. "I... I am grateful for your mercy." I wave it away. "It is the right thing to do, but do not take this as lenience. In the case they are guilty, they will be punished. If you wish to help the trials along you may submit a list of names and sources to validate the innocence of those that are on trial."
"Thank you, Your Grace. I will send it as soon as I can," he says with a deep bow. He soon exists with his servant. I can already tell this will be a long day. I turn to look at Missandei. "How many are there today?" Missandei turns to look at me. "212, Your Majesty," Missandei answers. I let out a groan of annoyance. "God, that's... a lot," I groan. "You're the king, Alex. It is your duty to hear the problems of your people. If it helps, I think you're doing a fine job," Barristan says. "Thanks, Barristan. Missandei?"
"Yes, Your Grace?" She asks. "Make a note to make this chair more comfortable. If we don't, either me or Daenerys will get back issues." Jorah laughs while Missandei chuckles. "I will make sure to adjust the chair, Your Grace," she says, smiling. "Good. Who's next...?"
—
I am exhausted as I walk back to my room. It took hours to work through all the supplicants and addressing their problems. I hope this is not a daily thing when we get to Westeros. As I reach the room, I push the door open and walk in.
"I am glad to see you survived, my love," Daenerys greets me with a chuckle. "It was exhausting. I'm sorry I couldn't make it for the walk..." I mumble and plop down in a chair. "It's okay. You volunteered, so I can hardly blame you for not making it," she says. I nod while yawning a little. "How was your day?" Daenerys shrugs.
"Good mostly. Oh, Daario came to speak to me in the afternoon. He begged me to send him and his Second Sons to kill something... they are itching for battle, and are bored," she explains to me. I roll my eyes. "Why am I not surprised. Do you have something in mind?" I ask.
"Yes, I have an idea but I think I need your advice. I have been thinking about Yunkai and Astapor. About a way to solve that. I was thinking that we send the Second Sons and Daario to Yunkai. The thing is, all they know is fighting and killing. My first thought was to round up all the masters and execute them, but... I made a promise to you. How can we solve the issue of Yunkai and Astapor?" She asks.
I rub my chin for a moment as I think. "Ehm, well, today I spoke with a man called Hizdahr. From what I remember, he was able to secure a compromise with the masters of Yunkai. The situation is different from what I remember, so it may not work."
Daenerys sighs. "Well, if it worked before it may work again. We will send Hizdahr with the Second Sons to Yunkai. He will tell them of what transpired here. The masters will get the choice to either live in our new world or die in the old one." Daenerys says. I sigh but nod. "I guess that's fine."
A few moments of comfortable silence falls over the room as we sit at the table. "Alex?" I turn to look at Daenerys. She looks at her hands as she plays with her fingers. "What is it, Dany?" I ask. "Are you happy?" she asks. I look at her surprised. "Where is this coming from? Why do you ask?"
Daenerys sighs and turns to look at me. "You are thrown in this world for no reason. You were forced to meet me. You partook in my campaign without much choice. I wonder if you are happy... with me," she says. I smile as I stand up to walk to her. "I have no regrets, Dany. Of course, I miss my parents. And yes, I have things that I miss from the place I came from," I start to explain. I gently touch her cheek. "I absolutely love you, Daenerys. I am very happy. We will have a family, I have you as my wife, and a future that I am excited for. What more could I ask for?"
Daenerys seems rather shocked as tears become visible. "You are the first to choose me out of your own free will. I guess I had some doubts... Thank you, Alex." I sit in the chair next to her and wrap an arm around her. "Dany, you are not used to someone genuinely caring for you, I think. Viserys was not that person. Jorah, a man you trusted greatly, betrayed you. Drogo was taken from you. Perhaps you have some trust issues, but know this well. I will tie the knot a thousand times and not regret it a single time. I am happy with you and always will be."
