Morning came once again. Techno woke up early. He got up and got ready for the day. He walked down the stair that made a creaking sound as he stepped down them. Techno went into the kitchen to see Phil already up and there.
"Morning, Techno" Phil greeted him as he took another sip of his tea. "Morning" Techno greeted back as he picked up a cup and began to make himself some coffee. "So, when are you going to tell him?" Phil asked casually taking a seat at the kitchen table. "Who and what?" Techno asked, acting like he didn't know what Phil was going on about. "Dream, when are you going to confess to Dream that you like him?" Phil asked sighing, knowing what Techno was doing.
"Preferably, never" Techno answered putting some bread into the toaster. "And am I that obvious?" Techno asked getting the butter out of the fridge. "I'm your father, Techno. I know" Phil told Techno as the bread now toast popped out the toaster. "Techno it's clear that he likes you too. He only remembered you as a ghost. And you've seen him without his mask, how many times? No one else has ever seen his face" Phil told Techno as Techno buttered his toast. "But what if he doesn't," Techno said picking up his toast and taking a seat at the table. "Then what?" Techno asked taking a bite of his toast. "Come on mate, how long has it been now?" Phil encouraged. Techno sighed.

'Techno and Dream'
The voices where also encouraging him. So sighing one last time in defeat Techno nodded. "Fine. I'm going to check on him today. So, maybe" Techno told Phil as the voices celebrated. Before the conversation could continue Tommy came in. "Morning" he greeted with a yawn. "Morning" Phil greeted back. Techno only nodded his head in greeting.
Once he finished his coffee and toast Techno stood up and stretched. "I'll be heading out now. I won't be back till late" Techno said grabbing his sword. "Ok see you later mate," Phil said moving a subtle 'good luck. You got this'. Techno shook his head slightly. "Tell Wilbur I said bye" Techno called over his shoulder as he exited his house.
"I'll be leaving too," Tommy said stretching. "I needed to tell everyone Dreams alive," Tommy said standing up. "See you next time," Tommy said as he left.
Now it was only Phil in the kitchen. He shook his head sadly. 'Oh, Tommy why can't you just let the man be' Phil thought. 'He's done his time and paid the price with his life. What more do you want off him?' After a few more minutes Wilbur came into the kitchen. "Morning," he said running a hand through his brown hair. "Morning" Phil greeted back. "Did I miss anything?" Wilbur asked looking around seeing the other two gone. "Yeah, you did. I may have finally gotten Techno to confess to Dream" Phil told Wilbur with a smirk. "I missed that?!" Wilbur shouted now more awake. "Aw man," Wilbur said as he flung himself into one of the kitchen chairs. "At least they might finally get together," Wilbur said smiling. Phil hummed in agreement.

Techno exited out into the freshly fallen snow attaching his sword to his hip. 'Am I actually going to tell him?' Techno asked himself as he walked through the snow. Deciding it'd be best if he didn't ride Carl got to Dreams base. It could give him away. Techno sighed and looked around taking a left and continuing straight for some time. Retreating his steps from the last time he was at Dream's base. The snow beneath his feet crunched with each step he took. The fresh morning air is chill and crisp. Techno's breaths where visible when he breathed out. Techno looked behind him to make sure no one was following him. When he was positive no one was following him, Techno took a sharp right, entering a cave. Looking behind him once again Techno pressed the hidden button and entered Dream's secret base.
"Dream" Techno called once he entered but reserved no response. "Dream?" He called again, but the same thing happened. He got no response. Panic and worry started to fill up Techno.
Techno speed-walked into the main area with the chairs in the library. Techno let a breath out in relief. There in one of the chairs was Dream, still asleep. Techno walked close to Dream and took a seat in the other chair. He picked up a book and began to read to pass time. Letting Dream sleep.

Time passed and Dream began to move. He sat up and looked around noticing Techno in the other chair. "Techno?" Dream called still half asleep. Techno made a sound of acknowledgement and lifted his head to look at Dream, moving his gaze from the book he was reading to the half-asleep Dream. "How long have you been here?" Dream asked Techno rubbing his eyes, getting the sleep out.
"A few hours" Techno replied going back to his book. "You should have woke me up, you know," Dream told Techno sitting up. "You looked like you needed to sleep," Techno said.
Dream sighed. "Why are you here anyway. I told you I'll be fine" Dream asked Techno. Techno closed his book and looked back at Dream. "You looked like you where going to pass out from exhaustion and you walked in a snow storm. You think I would come to cheek on you?" Techno said looking at Dream seriously. "Not just that have you forgot that Tommy saw you? He's going to tell everyone" Techno reminded Dream. "Ah, that. Well, I don't have a plan yet" Dream said smiling. Techno face palmed.
Dream stood up and stretched. "I'll figure out something" he told Techno. "Do you have anything else here other than this library and that office?" Techno asked having not looked round Dream's base. "I do" Dream told him gesturing for Techno to follow him. The walked down the library to a door. It was not the office door. Dream opened it and it was a kitchen. "See I know how to take care off myself" Dream said proudly. "Yeah, but can you cook?" Techno asked walking to the fridge. "That I can. I just don't have a lot of time usually" Dream said sitting at one of the stools at the kitchen island. Techno took some eggs out of the fridge with some butter. Techno began to cook egg on toast.
"Do you even have a bedroom here?" Techno asked moving the eggs in the pan. "I do. Not that I use it much. I usually just end up sleeping on one of the chairs in the library, and that's when I stay here" Dream told Techno playing with the edge of the island. Techno sighed. Dream really didn't know how to take care of himself.
Techno plated up the egg and toast and put a plate in front of Dream before taking a set with his own food. It was almost afternoon when Dream woke up, Techno realised when he looked at the clock in the kitchen. "Thank you" Dream thanked Techno for the food before beginning to eat. "No problem"

After Dream got out the shower they sat back in the library on the chairs reading, well talking. They did read for a bit. Techno listened as Dream went on and on about a book he handed to him telling him to read it. According to Dream it was a really good book. And from what he's hearing Techno thinks he will enjoy it. But he got distracted. Dream wasn't wearing his mask. So, Techno could see Dream's bright green eyes that could put even the brightest of emeralds to shame. He never really understood why Dream wore it all the time. But he was thankful that Dream trusted him enough to not wear it when he was around. The thought alone brought a smile to Techno's face.
Techno loved the way Dream's eyes would light up when he talked about something he was passionate about. He loved the way Dream would laugh without a care in the world when it was it's the two of them. He loved the way Dream could be himself. That Dream didn't have to act. He could just be himself.
Dream caught Techno staring. "Techno?" He called pulling Techno out of what ever, you could hear the slight worry in his voice as he called out to Techno. "Hm, What's up?" Techno asked blinking. "You seemed to zone out there, you alright?" Dream asked worried. "I'm fine Dream" Techno told him.
The voices where telling Techno to tell Dream how he felt. "Techno are you sure your fine. Something seems to be on your mind" Dream said tilting his head in confusion. Techno didn't know how to say what he wanted without just saying it straight out. So, he tried to change the conversation.
"Dream what do you think about love?" Techno asked looking into the fire of the fireplace in front of them. Dream was silent for awhile making Techno panic slightly. "Well, I think it's a wonderful thing" Dream started making Techno relax. "To find someone that makes you happy even in the darkest of times. Someone you would spend the rest of your life with. Someone you trust with everything about you" Dream said moving his gaze from the fire to Techno. "What brought this on Techno?" Dream asked.
"Well" Techno moved slightly uncomfortable. "I like someone" Techno took a deep breath before continuing. "Well love someone. They make me feel calm. They make me feel like everything is right with the world. But when there not there, next to me, I worry for them. And the world seems colder. They are my sun that warms up my world. My light in the darkness. My everything" Techno paused taking a breath. Not looking at Dream. Not wanting to see his reaction yet. Dream had a slightly hurt look on his face, not knowing Techno was talking about him.
"Without them I'm lost. The path that's in front of me becomes unclear. I love them with all of my being" Techno said finally looking at Dream. "That someone is you Dream. I love you, you are my light" Techno said confidence. He did love Dream with everything he had. He waited for Dream's response. Ready for rejection.
"I love you too, Techno" Dream said with a sad smile on his face which confused Techno. "But, to love, means to let that someone in and give them the ability to hurt you. Wether that be because they leave or because there used against you" Dream said sadly. "And I know I'll hurt you in the end. I can't do that to you. I don't want to hurt you. But it's the inevitable. And you know that too. It's easier that you forget me and move on now, than stay around waiting for the time I hurt you" Dream told Techno sadly, giving Techno a sad smile.
Techno stood up surprising Dream. "I don't care. It'd hurt more not having that time with you. I don't want to forget you" Techno said his voice slightly louder than before. "I'd let you in to hurt me time and time again if it meant I got to spend time with you. I'd have those memories. I'd rather have that than nothing at all. You are my light. Without you the world is so, so dark" Techno told Dream. "I love you Dream, no matter what. Nothing is going to change that. Come hell or high water I'll love you. The world could end and I'd still love you" Techno crossed the room and wrapped Dream into a hug. "I love you and I don't care if you hurt me" Techno cried. He needed Dream and now that he knew Dream loved him to he couldn't just do as Dream asked and forget him. He knew what Dream meant by hurt him. Dream thinks he'll end up having to leave like last time. Die like last time and leave him.
"I love you too, Techno" Dream cried wrapping his arms around Techno also hugging him. They stayed like that. Both hugging each other scared to let each other go. Soon Dream fell asleep in Techno's arms. Techno looked down at Dream's sleeping face moving some of Dream's blond hair out of his face. "I'll protect you. I promise" Techno promised before finally letting sleep take over him. He fell asleep with Dream asleep in his arms. Both they last thoughts before they fell asleep was 'I love you, to death and back'.
