Jin and Yoongi left Y/N's bedroom. The little girl lay down with a book.
Jin: Yoongi... don't kill him, I am in charge tonight!
Yoongi was not listening to his brother and went to confront Taehyung. He wanted to know what happened.
Yoongi: What happened to Y/N? How did she get hurt?
Taehyung: My girlfriend twisted Y/N's wrist... Because she interrupted...
Yoongi: Shut up! I don't even want to listen to your nasty story!
Taehyung: But Hyung, I stopped her.
Yoongi:If you had stop her, Y/N would have not been hurt like that! I know that youdon't like her or her mother, you were clear enough about that but if she ishurt by or because of you, you will have to deal with me!
Taehyung had nothing more to say about the incident. He could see his brother anger. But he had a question in mind, so he asked:
Taehyung: Hyung... about Y/N... on her forearm... I saw...
Yoongi: You didn't see anything...
Yoongi gave a dark glare to Taehyung before leaving the room. Taehyung was sure that his brothers were hiding something. He needed to know so he went to Jimin. Jimin was the closest one to Y/N, he was probably aware of her secret.
Taehyung: Jimin... (He entered his room.)
Jimin: Tae? What do you want, I need to see Y/N, something came up!
Taehyung: I know... I was there. (Jimin frowned.) It's not me, it's Nala, she hurt Y/N's wrist, but I stopped her, I swear.
Jimin: Is she badly hurt? You girlfriend is stupid or what?
Taehyung: You can say ex-girlfriend... Y/N has a big mark and it's painful, but the school nurse said that it's not broken.
Jimin was really piss off. He was hoping that Tae was not behind that.
Jimin: I sincerely hope that you have nothing to do with that.
Taehyung: Of course, no! I know that I was stupid by my attitude toward Mrs Son and Y/N but... you saw that I stay away from them. But Jimin... did you notice the scar on Y/N's arm?
Jimin hesitated to discuss about that with Taehyung but finally talked.
Jimin: I saw those marks, but Tae, you have to promise to never use or mention that in front of her!
Taehyung: There is more than one?
Jimin: I found out by hazard few weeks ago... she had a lot of scars or burning marks on almost half of her body ... that's why she always wear long sleeves. I wanted to talk about that with Jin, but he told me to forget, like it was possible to forget that.
Taehyung, who was already struggling with his inner thoughts about Y/n and her mother, was even more turn upside down. If that girl and her mother were victims of abuse, he can't imagine what Mrs Son felt when she heard his words.
Taehyung: I need to go... (He left and ran outside. He needed fresh air.)
Jimin, on his side, tried once again to go to see Y/N. His older brothers were not around so he knocked at her door and entered. Y/N was asleep.
Jimin silently walked and stopped his steps near Y/N's bed. She felt asleep while reading a book. He noticed the splint and cursed without being aware. He sat on the floor, his back laying against the bed and played with his phone. He was waiting for Y/N to wake up. After one hour, his phone started to ring.
Jimin: Damn it! (He tried to stop the incoming call.)
Y/N: ... hum... Jimin Oppa... (She was not completely awake.) What are you doing here? What time is it?
Jimin: Sorry, I woke you up. I think it's time to have dinner, Hyung called me. How are you doing? Does your arm hurt a lot? Do you need something?
Y/N: It's okay... Jin Oppa took care of everything.
Jimin: Jin Oppa? I am not the only one that you call Oppa anymore? Ohhh, I am so sad... (He pretended to cry.)
Y/N: You're so childish...
Jimin: The parents are not here tonight... do you want to play games with me all night? Ah no, you can't play with your wrist. Movie night?
Y/N: Let's go eat first...
The dinner went well. Jin asked the chef to prepare nutritious food for Y/N. In the evening, Y/N agreed to watch a movie with Jimin. They chose a family movie and were comfortably installed in the theatre room when Taehyung joined them.
Jimin: Tae... what are you doing here? You want to watch the movie with us?
Y/N was surprised to see Taehyung here. His expression was different too. Not really annoyed, not really happy. He also stared at Y/N few seconds before she looked away.
Taehyung: hum... there is nothing better to do.
Taehyung sat not too far from Y/N and the little girl almost freeze. Why with all the free places that there is, he sat near her...
Taehyung: You plan to look at me all evening?
Jimin: Tae... you're scaring her. Y/N, Taehyung Oppa is not a bad guy.
Taehyung: Taehyung Oppa? I'm not her brother. Don't put that stupid idea in her stupid little head.
Y/N: I know... (She added in a low tone.) I am nothing to you...
The two brothers clearly heard Y/N. Jimin glared at Taehyung who was looking at the little girl. She only repeated one of his previous declaration but hearing those words coming from her sounded different. Mean and belittling.
Jimin: Y/N, I am going to take some snacks, do you want something to drink?
Y/N: No, thank you Jimin-ssi, I don't need anything.
Jimin was annoyed. Because of Taehyung, Y/N's mood changed and her attitude toward him by the same occasion. He was happy to share a moment together with his brother and Y/N but at the end, things didn't go well. Sometimes, he had the feeling to do 1 step forward and 3 steps back.
Taehyung: Did you say to your mother what happened at school?
Y/N: No, I don't want her to be worried or she will want to come back.
Taehyung: ... hum...
When Jimin came back, Y/N pretexted to be tired and let the boys.
Jimin: Tae, what did you say to her again?!
Taehyung: Nothing... it seems that she doesn't like to be near me.
Jimin: It's not like you welcome her with a big smile or treat her with decency since she lives here. You only address to her with malice!
Taehyung couldn't deny. The stayed and talked a little before going to their bedroom.
Later in the middle of the night, a silhouette entered in the bedroom of the house's master. It was Jungkook. He took the opportunity of his father absence to sneak in his room. He was still in research of information about Y/N's father and all of his previous tentative were unsuccessful. He was searching into the drawer and found a file with official documents.
Jungkook: Bingo! That useless girl will soon find back her daddy...
He took some photos. He had his name and an address.
The next day, Jin and Yoongi had to leave for work. Something unexpected came up. They didn't want to bother their father during is first weekend in years. Namjoon accompanied them like he did sometimes. For now, he only participated to few specific jobs.
The youngest were still sleeping. They asked Hoseok to keep an eye on Y/N during their absence. Hoseok was not really into the family business but more focus on his study and his sport.
Hoseok-In call: Okay Hyung, I will take care of the little, but I need to make a quick stop at the university. Mr Nam is here anyway.
A little bit later, Y/N came forbreakfast. She managed to prepare herself without help but not without pain.The idea of the splint was not a bad idea. She saw Hoseok who had finished toeat
Hoseok: Yo! Did you sleep well without Yejin at the house?
Y/N: hum... it's quiet today... usually on weekend, it's noisy.
Hoseok: Jin, Yoongi and Namjoonie went to work.
Hoseok: But as soon as my little brothers will wake up, this peaceful time will be over! Y/N, show me your wrist, I think that the splint is not well adjust. Did you put it yourself this morning?
Y/N: Yes, I saw how Jin Oppa did last night.
Hoseok: Jin Oppa? (He had a teasing tone.) I didn't know that some of us had the privilege to be called Oppa...
He adjusted the splint on Y/N's wrist, and he saw her blushing.
Y/N: He... He asked me to call him Oppa...
Hoseok: I am teasing you. We are a family now, it's normal to be more at ease around each other, right? ... and who knows... we could have a new little sibling soon...
He patted her head and laughed at her expression. She was too young to understand the meaning of his joke.
Hoseok: I need to go to the university; do you want to come with me?
Y/N: I don't want to bother you; I can stay here.
Hoseok: You are not alone anyway... and it should not take me too many time.
Y/N naturally smiled to him. After few weeks, she found out that he was different of what she thought of him at their first meeting. Much more smiling expression and less scary attitude. She also really liked to see him and her mother close.
Y/N was on the leaving room when Jungkook showed up. He was staring at her with a creepy smile.
Jungkook: I can't wait for the day I will not have to see your ugly face...
Y/N didn't respond and avoided his gaze. She was used to his bad humor. Jungkook went to the garden and came back with 2 of his friends. He didn't ask permission to his brothers and called his friends.
Mr Nam: Mr Jungkook, I am sorry but your father or your brothers never mention the coming of your friends today.
Jungkook: So, what? I have the right to have fun with my friends in my own house, right? (He glared to Mr Nam who didn't insist.) Guys, come.
Sewoon: JK... what that girl doing in your house? Isn't she the transferred kid?
Jungkook: Don't mind her, she is just the maid's daughter...
Yoo-Sang: So? Is she your personal little maid???
The three boys laughed, clearly mocking the little girl. Y/N didn't respond and looked down the entire time, until she heard him.
Jungkook: You want to play with her a little? She is not bad at soccer... really good to stop the ball with her face... ahahah
Yoo-Sang: You can't destroy that cute little face JK... (He sat near Y/N.) What's your name?
Sewoon: Yoo-Sang, bro', you're scaring her... it's funny...
Yoo-Sang: I know right... she lost her little tongue!
Y/N didn't know how to answer. She could fell Jungkook's gaze on her and the creepy tone of those guys when they talked.
Y/N: Please, excuse-me... (She stood up to leave but Yoo-Sang grabbed her by the back of her dress to make her seat down.)
Yoo-Sang: I asked you a question... you don't know how to politely answer? Do we need to teach you how to respect elders?
Y/N: Y/N... Son Y/N...
Yoo-Sang: Great, Y/N. Get something to drink for us!
Y/N looked at Jungkook, not really hoping something from him but more by reflex. He smirked.
Jungkook: Move! ... Such a useless girl...
Sewoon: You never said that the new girl was living under your roof.
Jungkook: She is nothing than a maid's daughter... and she will leave soon.
In the kitchen, Mr Nam helped Y/N to prepare drinks for Jungkook and his friends. He was worried by the young master attitude toward the little girl. He insisted to bring the drinks and received a dark glare from Jungkook.
Things changed when Jimin arrived. Jungkook was not respecting the house's rules by bringing his friends.
Jimin: Jungkook, what are they doing here? Did you ask Jin Hyung permission to invite your friends?
Jungkook: They are all absents, it's not a big deal!
Jimin: You know that Dad wants to know who enter into this house, even more when he is not present!
Yoo-Sang: We gave our personal information to the guard at the entry. We are in the same school and friends for years.
Jimin was annoyed by those kids. He looked at Y/N and saw her uncomfortable.
Jimin: It's not the point, Yoo-Sang. Jungkook needs to respect the rules, that's all! Y/N, come with me!
Jungkook: Guys, let's go play video games...
Sewoon: Yep... you brother is not funny!
Jimin went with Y/N to the kitchen. He took a bottle of juice.
Jimin: Y/N, Jungkook or his friends bothered you? You can tell me!
Y/N: No... Mr Nam was here, don't worry. I will stay in my room, bye!
Jimin: Y/N... wait...
Taehyung: (He arrived and saw Y/N running.) What's wrong with her?
Jimin: Jungkook invited Sewoon and Yoo-Sang. Those idiots must have said something to her, you know your brother!
Taehyung: She will avoid them like she did with us, she is good at that, a real little ninja.
Jimin sat and Taehyung took a sandwich prepared by the chef.
Taehyung: Are you ready to leave?
Jimin: I don't know... is it safe to left Y/N alone?
Taehyung: You want to take her with us? She will never come if I am there. She will quietly stay in her room and Mr Nam is always around.
Jimin: Okay, let's go and come back quickly!
During their discussion last night, Jimin agreed to go with Taehyung to the mall to buy a pair of shoes. Having time between brothers was a needed moment for Taehyung at the moment.
Jungkook and his friends played video games while listening to loud music for an hour. They ordered pizzas and sodas and the gaming room was a bit messy. They were now bored and wanted to do something else. They were zoning in the house when they encountered Y/N coming from the library. She was holding a book and the plush offered by Jimin. She liked to have it when she read.
Sewoon: Look JK... your little maid is here! We can play with her!
Jungkook: I really like your idea bro...
Yoo-Sang: Little Y/N... (He took the book from her hand.) You like to read... are you a nerd?
Y/N: I just like to read books...
Jungkook: She is totally a nerd! She used to do the homework for her classmates... you can use her as you don't like to study.
Yoo-Sang: Little Y/N will help Oppa with his homework?
He put his arm on her shoulders, but she didn't like that contact.
Y/N: I am sorry... wait... what are you doing... give it back to me...
Yoo-Sang grabbed the plush and put it high so the little girl couldn't take it back. Jungkook and Sewoon were laughing.
Yoo-Sang: If you want it, you have to promise to do my homework for me... otherwise... (He threw the plush to Sewoon.)
Sewoon: Little little... (He agitated the plush as a master with a dog's toy.) Come take it ...
The three boys started to run, and Y/N had to follow them. The plush was her first gift from Jimin, it was precious.
Y/N: Please... give it back to me...
They continued to pass the plush between them while laughing of the poor Y/N. She was tired to pursue them all around the house but didn't want to let them win. They entered the swimming pool.
Jungkook: Useless... you're tired? (He was holding the plush near the pool.) Who gave you that stupid toy? Guys, do you think that that stuff knows how to swim?
Yoo-Sang and Sewoon exchanged an amused look with Jungkook, and the young boy let the plush fall into the pool.
Yoo-Sang: Oppss... JK, you're so clumsy.
Jungkook: Sorry... (He smirked, proud of himself.)
Y/N glared at them, and she approached with fear the pool. She kneeled down and tried to catch the plush who was floating not to far from the border of the pool.
Sewoon: Let me help you... Little Y/N...
Sewoon pushed Y/N in her back with his foot and the little girl fell into the water. She was panicking, not knowing how to swim. She couldn't see their faces but could clearly heard their devil laughs.
Yoo-Sang: What is that idiot doing???
Y/N was struggling to stay alive. The only feeling inside her heart was the fear. She didn't want to give up and tried to move but it seemed useless.
Hoseok had just returned from the university when Mr Nam welcomed him. The butler explained that Jungkook invited his friends and that he saw them going near the swimming pool with Y/N.
Hoseok: Jungkook, you're looking for troubles, my pool is not for you to play with your buddies!
Hoseok was piss off by his little brother and his anger rocked the top when he entered the pool and saw the 3 boys' standings near the water and Y/N inside, doing her maximum to not drown.
He didn't hesitate a second and dived into the water. He grabbed Y/N while she had her head under the water and came back to the surface with her. The little girl took a deep breath, and she was hugging Hoseok like there was not tomorrow.
Jungkook: Hyung??
Hoseok: Are you all stupid? Do you want to kill her?! Shhh, Y/N, it's okay... Oppa is here, don't be afraid, don't cry... it's okay...
Sewoon: We were just joking...
Hoseok swum to the stairs. He could feel that she will not let go of her grab easily.
Hoseok: She doesn't know how to swim! The two of you should leave and JK, be prepared for a huge punishment!
Y/N was crying a lot. All the fear and despair that she felt during those few seconds were expressing through her tears. Hoseok grabbed a towel and covered her before leaving to her bedroom.
Hoseok: Y/N, you're safe now, look, we are in your room.
Y/N: Oppaaaa... I was so scared... I don't want to die...
Hoseok was deeply touched by Y/N's words. She was defenseless in front of danger. But danger should not happen in this house, from his family.
Hoseok: I am sorry, I shouldn't have let that happen. (He caressed her head and took off her face some strings of hair.) Get change yourself first, okay?
Y/N wiped her tears with her hand and nodded before going to the bathroom.
Hoseok went to see Jungkook who was calmly installed in the living room. He stood up when he saw Hobi coming.
Hoseok: You f*** brat! Do you know what you did!
Hoseok punched Jungkook's face, and the younger brother fell on the floor.
Hoseok: One day, you will regret your stupid behavior!
Taehyung:Hyung! What's going on? Why are you two fighting?
Taehyung and Jimin who came backfrom the mall, separated their brothers
Hoseok: Jimin, where were you? What did you leave her alone with him?
Jimin: We went to the mall... but what happened? Where is Y/N?
Hoseok:Tell me Jungkook, you will have let her die if I had not come
Hoseok's question froze the time. Jimin and Taehyung were chocked by their older brother words. What could have happened to put Hoseok in that anger.
Jungkook passed his thumb at the corner of his lips, he was bleeding. Even with his hate for her, would he have let Y/N drown in that pool?
