BRIANNA

I woke up today and brushed my teeth, took a shower, picked out a warm tracksuit and went downstairs.

I greet Lilith who was in the kitchen creating one of her delicious recipes.

"How are you feeling, mi fleur?" Her voice carried through the air like a lavender scent.

"I slept for a whole nation. My body is well rested and my mind is free. I feel like a new person." I plated my food and sat down on by dining area. I watched as mom came into the dining table and placed her briefcase on the table.

"Lilith! I hope you aren't feeding my daughter any forbidden foods."

Forbidden foods:
Bacon
Eggs
Hash Browns

My mom is very dramatic.

"Goodmorning to you too, mother." I greet as she checks her briefcase.

"Do you have plans with Katy today?"

"Yes, we are going to the mall."

Katy was on a mission to make me remember everything that happened. She's filling me in on everything I've done and hopefully it will jog my memory.

"Be careful." She warned and kissed me on my forehead.

"It's the mall. I'm fine." I laughed at her worried self.

After she left, I called Katy and she said she was on her way.

She got here and I jumped into her car. I couldn't try for my license because of rehab, drugs and mother didn't trust me but next year March, I'm going to be cruising in my very own car.

"So, don't get mad." She started and I looked at her. "I brought guests."

"Guests?" I looked at the backseat and she giggled at me.

"They're meeting us at the mall, stupid."

"Is one of them your boyfriend?" I ask with a smirk. Blush coats her cheeks and she laughs at me.

The only thing I know is that she's dating her all time crush, Jaxon Miller.

She pulls out the driveway and we drive with the radio on in silence. We get closer to the mall and I haven't even known who these guests are.

"Katy, who are these guests?"

"Ryan, Jaxon, Naomi, Amara, and...please don't hate me."

"Katy." I deadpan. She sighs and looks to the right as we pull into the mall parking lot. A bunch of people are standing at the entrance and I notice the familiar figure of Ryan.

"Let's go." We exit the car into the now November wind. The clouds were quite gloomy and the sky grey.

We walked to the steps where the bunch of people were standing. As I got closer, I could see Amara and Naomi, Jaxon and Ryan. Behind them was someone, I couldn't see who it was.

"Hey Bri." Ryan came forward and hugged me.

"Hey Ry." I look around to everyone and they all look like they don't know what to do. It's funny seeing them uncomfortable. I know I lost my memory and can't remember shit to save my life but I feel safe with them.

"Can we hug you?" Naomi whispers frantically. She was fiddling with her fingers and Amara next to her.

"One hug." I hold up my index finger and they both run up and hug me. I roll my eyes playfully and hug them back.

I may have lost my memory but it felt nice to have the supportive friends, even though I don't know how we got this close.

We pulled apart and I looked at Jaxon. He averted his eyes away from me and looked at Katy. He jerked his head back and walked away. That hurt. It's not my fault that I lost my memory.

"Someone wants to talk to you." She whispers in my ear and as everyone walks into the mall, I see it's Carter.

My eyes roll and I sigh.

As soon as Katy walks away, he walks near me. He pulls me to the side and a lady with a shopping cart walks by. I look back at him, those sugar grey eyes.

I remove his hands away from me and walk off. I don't own him a single word. If he thinks I was crazy enough to be with him, he should be in the hospital. It's absolutely bizzare and crazy.

I don't like him, hate him even.

I can feel him walking behind, his eyes tease my soul and send shivers cascading down my spine. I can blame it on the cold but even I know that something happened between me and Carter, and it wasn't irreversible.

ISAAC

She stopped me abruptly, turning around with a glare.

"For the love of all good things holy, leave me alone."

"Not possible." I said immediately and shrugged one shoulder.

"Whatever happened between us is over. I don't like you."

"I know you don't, it's kind of our whole dynamic." How could she forget that?

"I don't know what kind of crush you have on me but shut it down." She seethes attractively. My pants strain against me and I swallow down the lust in my voice.

"I can't."

"And why not?" She moves closer. I could smell her new perfume, her perfect warmth seeping through my sweater.

"I told you that once we collide, there's no going back." I lean down to her ear, smelling another feint scent. It was her hair, my favorite part of her.

I take a strand between my fingers and lightly twirl it, she never did like me touching her hair.

"I always did like your hair down." Whispers of everything true. Maybe she'd remember. Maybe she'd come back  and remember everything we did together.

Everything. I don't mind showing her how to remember certain parts, like the Halloween night.

"They all went ice skating, we should probably go." I wait for her to walk infront.

We walk to Joe's Cold Ice Rink and she turns around suddenly, again.

"I have a proposal." She announces.

"Jackson, marriage at this young age? I'm flattered but I still have my life ahead of me." I muse and she tries to suppress her smile with an annoyed look but I know that smile anywhere.

"We can be civil with each other. Atleast until I get my memory back."

"I'm not your friend, I'm far from your friend." I protest before she even says that word. It sounds so forbidden and just not who or what we are.

It's like applying the rules to chess in a basketball game, doesn't mix.

"Yes, you're my annoyance."

She said I was hers. I couldn't help but bring a smile to my face.

"Only yours, love."

I kissed her on her cheek before walking into the ice rink. I could hear her groans of frustration.

We pay for our skates and get on the ice. I'm still a little rusty but I'm not as bad as I was the first time. I watch her look around the rink, at the different people. One specifically, Jaxon.

Jaxon expressed how hurt he was that she forgot but he said he wouldn't put in any effort to make her remember because "what if she doesn't remember?" he said. He was scared that he'd talk about all their memories and she'd just forget and never remember. I'm not mad at him, just dissapointed. He gave up all to quickly.

"Bri!" Someone called her and she skated towards them. Naomi, Katy and Amara were waiting for her in the middle.

They talked and giggled. She looked free and comfortable.

"Your mom is asking if you still need to see her this afternoon?" Jaxon asks from behind me. I turn my head and shake it no.

"No I'm fine."

Mom has been my support, she held me when I told her about Bri and the accident. She was there for me last night as I watched Brianna drive away. She held me and told me everything would be okay. I believe her, everything will be okay.

Everything will work out as it should.

We all skate around for another hour but I get tired and decide to take my skates off. Jaxon and I sit down and watch the girls skate around some more.

"Has she remembered anything so far?" Jaxon asks.

"I wouldn't know, she doesn't say." I shrug and rub my hands on my jean leg.

"I'm sorry if I seem a little closed off, its just..." He looked back at where the girls are now getting out of the rink.

"You're scared, I know. You don't like the possibility that she might never remember you."

We all walk to the food court to get something to eat. When we sit down with all our burgers, I notice a small something that maybe should've stayed hidden.

Naomi and Amara. They had their own little whispers, they were giggling and holding hands under the table. Amara noticed me looking and she dropped Naomi's hand. I averted my gaze back to my food and I felt a soft nudge on my arm.

We all fall into normal conversation but Jaxon is still a bit closed off to talking to Bri. I can tell that everyone at the table noticed his lack of appetite as our conversation went on.

When we all finished, we threw away anything that needed to be thrown away and we walked back to the entrance. There was the little sunshine amongst the grey clouds. We carried on walking and I wanted to say something to Bri but when I looked back, she was talking to Jaxon. A very heated conversation as she was the only one talking and Jaxon was listening.

I walked on to the outside so that I don't invade on their conversations. Naomi and Amara had already left so it was just Katy and I left.

"Has she told you anything yet?" I ask to Katy and she shakes her head with a sad smile.

"Maybe if you kiss her, she'll remember everything. You know...like a fairytale."

"This is far from a fairytale, Katherine."

Jaxon and Brianna come out of the mall and we look at them. Brianna hugs him and says goodbye to which he responded with a goodbye. She takes one look at me but doesn't do anything.

I can see it in her eyes that she wants to do something but she doesn't at the same time.

"How about a kiss? It's the most simple action we've done." I suggest and Katherine chuckles a little bit. She glared at me more, but I couldn't care.

"You are so insufferable, I don't know how I even got with you."

Her anger made me laugh. I step towards her and weave my hand through her hair and bring her forward for a hug. She doesn't hug me back I look down at her and she's glaring up at me.

"I'll see you at school, princess." I lay a kiss on her forehead.

"I'm not your princess."

A light laugh bubbled up from me and I pulled her away. I said goodbye to Katherine and walk back to the car.

Jaxon drops me home before going next door. We made plans to watch a movie over at his place since my dad is using the house for his meetings and trying to investigate what happened to Jackson.

"Dad, what's wrong?" I ask and go to the kitchen to get a water bottle.

"Was your mother cooking for you and Bri?" He questioned. I frown closing tbe fridge door.

"Yeah why?"

"Did you also eat?"

"Yes, we all ate the same food." I was getting worried by dad's questions. "Why are you asking?"

"I found something in the room she was sleeping in." He says and I get out of the kitchen and walk to him.

I drop the bottles in the table and dad shows me a pill bottle, almost full of white powder. It's evident that some was used, but it can't be.

"Mom may not like Jackson but she would never poison her."

"She would, if it meant 'no more Brianna'." He closed the bottle. "Funny how she used an anti biotic against the nervous system again, which made Brianna lose her memory. She forgot you, that was her mission."

I don't fucking believe it.

Mom poisoned Jackson.
