My dad made me shoot a gun and the sound spooked me. I realize now I am traumatized with no idea why... (As of 2024 I have realized where the trauma has come from, but I have grown a lot through it)
Third
Two agents reclined in a helicopter, feeling as it moved with grace over the waters. Listening closely to the sound of their superiors orders. They were to get a sample of the virus, end all of their loose ties, and return to base for their reward. The h/c male shifted, elbows resting on his knees as he stopped paying attention and instead focused his eyes outside.
The raven haired woman beside him crossed her arms over her chest, making it clear she wanted the man to get to the point and stop blabbering. The man sighed, shaking his head in slight anger before calming down and telling them the main goal. Soon enough the village came into view, seeing the little church in the center as several people wandered about and ignored their approach.
A hand rested on his shoulder, pulling him from his thoughts as he turned to face the woman. "Yes?"
Her soft brown eyes told a story, though he'd never learned it prior to meeting her when their leader partnered them together. "We're almost to the drop point, let's gear up." Hearing that he nodded, grabbing his tactical vest and putting it over his shoulders. He tightened it around his broad shoulders, glancing to the woman as she added almost nothing but thigh holsters.
He rolled his eyes and added his own holsters before loading ammo into his vest and belts and adding his pistols, combat knife, and shotgun over his back. He traveled lightly on normal missions, this was nothing different from any of them. They watch as the other man in their group open the side door, wind slapping his back as they hovered over the air.
"Oh, before I forget." The woman began, slapping a grappling hook to his chest that he attached to the back of his belt. "Don't want you dying on my watch. Wesker wouldn't want that." And with such she dragged him by the forearm out of the helicopter and in a free fall. He spread his arms, allowing wind to slow him down as the helicopter swerved towards the right and away from the village to return to collect them later.
They exchanged a long, quiet look before Ada turned and stared down below them. "Quite a fall, don't you think?" Y/n jested, hoping to bring down her esteem about jumping instead of using the ropes. She sent him a smirk in return, remaining silent as they continued to fall.
Meanwhile a certain dirty blonde haired agent sat in the back of a truck, chin rested on his left arm. He sat in the vehicle while the driver took a piss and complained about the cold weather. Once he finished and got back in they continued, going so far as to poke at the man for coming here. One even offered him a cigarette, which he refused and replied that he wasn't a smoker.
When he'd finally gotten out they replied with wanting to stay back in the truck while the blonde haired American agent went ahead on his own. Leon rolled his eyes as he adjusted his jacket, walking farther down the trail in hopes of finding someone who might have seen Ashley. As he approached a fairly small home and entered inside without knocking he found a man tending to his fireplace.
"Excuse me? I was hoping you might know the girl in this photograph?" He held the picture up, seeing the man glance over it before shaking his head. This left Leon in a slightly sticky situation, even more when the man attempted to kill him with an axe as well as three other men outside the home.
He went back towards the truck, only to see it driving by and being crashed into the river. He addresses a woman, who introduces herself as Hunnigan and gives him the next orders after hearing what he had to say. Now left with one real option, going through the village in search of the missing girl.
On his way towards the village he'd found a warning sign, an X covered in dark crimson with rope holding skulls to it. Just behind this was a white dog, possibly even a wolf. Feeling conflicted he carefully approached, leaning down and wrapping his hands against the metal bear trap and pulling it apart until he heard the click and the dog wearily step out of it before it looked into his eyes. Leon stood up while the dog turned away from him, watching as it raced into the brush surrounding him. He continued down the trail, being attacked by a few more people.
As he did so he'd been spotted and attacked by the villagers, blockading himself inside and finding a shotgun. He attached it to his back and instead used his pistol to fire at some of the people before a loud bell tolled and all the people of the village scurried towards the church.
Leon stood in the town square, arms flailing to his sides as he looked around confused. "Where's everybody going? Bingo?" He shakes his head before continuing, and being told by Hunnigan after reporting the dead officers body to continue forward. Entering through a set of wooden double doors. This seemed to lead to an area with a more farm-like look.
He searches around, finding a few herbs and ammo laying around before he continued his search. He had found a report previously in a small shack detailing how he had been watched and where they were keeping their prisoner. As he continued to explore and kill a few more of these weird angry villagers he noted there were seven blue medallions in the farm and eight more in a cemetery. He would keep that noted for later as he found the seven in the farm.
He located the next set of doors and continued his search while the two agents were running around the area of their landing spot. Y/n ran towards one of the houses, scaling the side and turning swiftly on his heel to drop to his stomach. He reached an arm down and the woman jumped to grab it, being hoisted up and onto the roof.
She dusted off her dress and looked around them, pointing to their next location as she began to speak. "We need to get over there next, alright?" Her voice was calm, which only added to the safe feeling they both radiated towards the other.
They could hear people speaking in Spanish, talking about some strange man that was there as well as their leader. At least they assumed so, a man named Saddler. Y/n quietly slipped off the roof and caught Ada as she jumped down and into his arms. Once he set her down they leaned up against a wooden fence, careful not to alert anyone to their presence as they made a run for it.
