Later that night Roman, Brian, Jimmy, Tej, Suki and I are waiting for those three thugs coming for a race I stood between Roman and Brian as we watch the three thugs arrive in a blue Yenko Camaro SYC, an orange Dodge Challenger R/T, and a red Toyota Avalon they stop I wore a short sleeve ed shirt, blue pants and red shoes.
We stare at them Tej nods said "Yeah, here they come" The thugs drove up and came to a stop Brian, Roman and I walk forward as the three thugs and their girlfriends came out of their cars, we stop in front of them Roman said "Fonzie, Fabio, and R/n" Fabio wave slightly "Glad you can join us" Thug 2 said "We heard you boys wanted to get rid of those Cracker Jack toys".
Brian said "No, actually we just figured those cars you got deserve better drivers, which is why we're gonna take them off your hands" Thug three ask "You know, why we don't we settle this now" But Tej step in front of us said "Wait, wait, wait, how about we settle this on the blacktop" I stare at them "Each car does a down-and-back, tag-team style, for slips".
Suki walk over said "Loser walks home" Thug 1 look at her said "We came to race" Tej said "Load them up then" So the thugs went to get their cars ready as Brian said, "Come on, bro, let's get these cars" I nod walk after Brian we walk "All right, check it out" I look at him "There's no way we're gonna beat these guys straight up".
I look over to the cars "That Hemi's putting out about 425, that Avalon is probably 420 and that Yenko will snap a speedo in about five seconds flat" We stop and turn "We're gonna have to pull something out of our ass" I stare at him "The only thing I can think of is save the spray for the way back, the return trip".
Roman nods so do I we clap hands Roman said "Done deal" Brian said, "All right, let's do this, bro" Roman said, "I'm getting that orange one" So we went to our cars I climb into mine and turn the engine on "You ain't ready, Fabio" He starts his engine and drives up next to Thug 1 while Tej said "All right".
He walks between the cars "You each got a barrel to go around down at the end of the road here" He points "Second wave's got to sit till your partner crosses this line right here same goes for the third wave" Tej hit his fist "First team to go down and back thrice wins the race" Tej turns "At which point, the losers will hand over them keys".
He bends down "Otherwise you'll be eating breakfast through straws from now on" Tej looks at the thug 2 spoke Spanish who said, "I get it" Tej looks at Roman and said, "This means you, too" Roman staring at thug 2 and said, "I got it" Roman rev up his engine Tej said "All right" He straightens up "Let's race".
We walks back as Roman keeps revving his engine, I look to Brian who looks to me I look back as Suki yells "Come on, baby, you got this, Rome" She wave her hand "This dude ain't serious" Roman calls "Yeah, you gone, homey, I got this, this is done" He laughs "You about to lose your car" Suki yells "Do it, Rome".
Jimmy yell "Come on, bitch, you got it man" Roman looks to us ask "You think I'm worried about this fool, man" He smiles "This is nothing" Roman revs up his engine but suddenly Thug 2 revs his car it was more powerful I frown Suki said "Oh, no" Roman look to me and Brian, we nod at him he nods back Thug 2 keeps revving his engine I stare forward.
3rd POV
Roman stare forward said, "Got to smoke him, got to smoke him, got to smoke him" Tej raise his arms said, "All right, here we go" But Suki walk over said "It's all right, baby, I'm gonna handle this" She stands in front of Tej who said, "Handle it" He put his hands on her waist smiling Suki raise her arms said "Ready, and go"
She threw her arms down making Roman and Thug 2 drive forward starting the race passing Suki and Tej who both turn Roman shift gears catching up said "You ain't ready, I run these streets" Thug 2 looks back then forward he press a pedal going faster Roman shake his head shift gears and change pedals.
Thug 2 whooping "Romey Rome, you ain't heard of me" Roman shift gears and change pedals going faster as Thug 2 is still in front Roman shift gears and change pedals again just as Thug 2 reach the barrels and went around turning his wheel and change pedals going forward passing Roman who notice "Oh, shit".
Roman shift gears press the brake pedal drifting around "Oh yeah" Then went forward shift gears "I'm gonna get you, I'm gonna get you" He shift gears and change pedals thug 2 look back ask, "Where's your big mouth now, boy" He look forward as Roman said, "That car's going home with me, homey".
Roman press the nos button releasing the nos into his engine going faster Roman laughs while Thug 2 looks at his mirror to see Roman catching up said "Shit, eat this, sucker" He turn his wheel making the car hit a sign spinning it on the road Roman notice turns his wheel making his car spin and off the road but Roman moves.
While Thug 2 laughs at his work drives forward as Roman gets back on the road said "Shit" Meanwhile Brian and Y/n are ready Brian's going next, he rev his engine as Thug 2 yells "Yeah, boy, go Korpi" Thug 2 went by as the girlfriends cheer making Thug 1 go said "Sorry, blondie, kid, how does that dust taste".
Tej looks at Suki and said, "I don't know" Brian revs up his engine said, "Come on, Rome" Y/n watch Roman pass the line and Brian goes Thug 3 looks to Y/n and calls "Hey kid" Y/n looks at him "Just give up and have that car ready for me" All Y/n did was look forward and eat a purple fruit while Roman hits the seat in anger.
Meanwhile Thug 1 drives forward as Brian shift gears and change pedals to go faster while Thug 1 goes around the barrels quickly and start heading back Brian looks to see him coming back so Brian turn to make his car go on the lane in front of Thug 1 heading for him who notice said "What the..." He sees Brian "Good move, kid, let's see if you got the balls, come on".
So, both Brian and the Thug 1 keep driving but he starts to get nervous as they get closer so thug 1 widen his eyes turn his wheel passing Brian who drives forward but by doing that Thug 1 goes off road turning his wheel making his car turn to a stop while Brian whoops, he shifts gears and hand brake to turn and drift around the barrels and goes forward fast.
Meanwhile Thug 1 got his engine on and turn his car around back on the rod as Brian shift gears and change pedals to catch up he shift gears while Roman said, "Come on, Brian" Y/n gets ready Brian shift gears look at his speed counter and press the button releasing the nos going faster Thug 1 looks back to see Brian whose now catch-up neck to neck.
Thug 1 change pedals going a bit faster Brian look at his counter to see it reach 120 so Brian catch up making both him and Thug 1 neck to neck Brian shift gears and change pedals going a bit faster.
Y/n POV
I watch both Brian and Thug 1 went pass the line I shift gears and change pedals going forward at the same time as Thug 3 went we drive down the road I shift gears and change pedals going a bit faster as Thug 3 goes back a bit while we head for the barrels.
3rd POV
Meanwhile Brian stood next to Roman who said "Y/n just went with R/n" Suki, Jimmy and Tej join them Tej ask "Think he can do it" Brian said, "To be honest I never seen Y/n race before, but I know he'll win this" Roman looks at Brian then back said "He better win this cause that car is coming home with me".
Y/n POV
Thug 3 and I reach the barrel I shift gear, hand brake and turn the wheel to drift around I notice Thug 3 doing it as well I stare forward shift gears and change pedals going faster down the road, I look at my mirror to notice Thug 3 catching up he went right up to me I look at him he glares at me yells "Get ready to lose".
He went faster by a head I look forward shift gears and change pedals going faster making my car reach halfway of his as the finish line is getting close.
3rd POV
Jimmy said, "Here they come" Suki, Tej, Brian, and Roman look to see Thug 3 and Y/n coming but Thug 3 is in the lead Brian said, "Come on, Y/n" Thug 2 laughs said, "Prepare to lose" Suddenly Y/n smirks he press the nos button releasing the nos into his engine and going pass Thug 3 who notice yell "NOOO".
Y/n drive pass the line winning the race Roman, Brian, Suki, Jimmy and Tej all cheer for him Roman yell "We got three new cars".
Y/n POV
I smile eat an orange fruit slowing my car down and set to reverse and head back passing Thug 3 who breaths hard so once we got back, we got the cars and load a car on the truck we start heading back to Tej garage while leaving Thugs and their girlfriends behind Roman yells "Use the bus tokens, partner".
A few hours later Brian, Roman and I got in Brian's car and head for the Pearl I dress up wearing a red fancy shirt and brown long pants we walk to the front Brian said "Hey, how you doing" Guard said "Good, what's your name" Brian said, "We're guest of Mr. Verone's" The guard lets us in we walk through the doors.
We walk to see people talking to each other, drinking or dancing to the music I smile standing next to Brian looking around Roman said "It's a hoasis in here, bruh" I nod looking Brian said "Yeah, lots of potential" Roman said "Damn, you got a pen" I look at him shake my head as Brian stare at Roman chuckling I look forward "It's about to get serious, bruh".
Then walking over to us in a silver dress is Monica "Look at that girl on the swing right there" Monica said "Hey, you guys did something right" She stops "Verone never socialises with hired help" I raise a brow Roman ask "Now what's that make you" Monica just stare Brian ask, "Where's he at" Monica said, "He's on his way".
Roman ask "You and Verone don't go everywhere together" Monica ask, "What's that supposed to mean" Roman just said "Nothing" He chuckles a bit "I'm gonna go take a piss" Monica said, "You go do that" I just walk but Brian stop me said "Try not to have too fun" He rubs my hair I get his hand off and walk to have a look around.
I walk through the dance floor looking at the people dancing noticing girls flirting when I was near them, I give them a smile while still walking some girls even stroke my arms a bit while dancing around me, I reach the other side notice a girl on a swing smiling towards me I stare at her dancing noticing more girls start to surround me.
Suddenly I feel a pair of wrap me said "Excuse me ladies" I look to see Roman smiling at them "I may need this one for a moment" He pulls me away I was confused Roman looks at me while walking "What's your secret to get the girls to come for you" All I did was shrug noticing another girl walking by I slowly turn but Roman stop me "Verone's here we need to tell Brian".
That got my attention I nod we walk over to where Brian and Monica are who both sitting down Brian notice us ask "What's up" Verone said "He's here, man" Brian ask, "Where's he at" I point to make Monica and Brian look Roman said "He's over there, don't look" Verone raise his hand to us he then grabs his drink.
Suddenly a woman went to us said "Excuse me, Mr. Verone would like for you to join him" Monica said, "Let's do it" She gets up Roman ask "See what I'm talking about" Brian gets up we follow Monica we walk to where Baldy and his partner are Monica was let in, but we were stop until Verone said "It's all right, let them in".
So, Baldy move we enter "Go sit down, I'll talk to you in a second" Roman move Verone looks at me "Same with you" So I walk to a spot and sit as Brian ask, "How you doing" Brian said "Good, enjoying your night" Brian said "Yeah, I'm having a good time" Verone said "Good, good" They stare at each other "She's beautiful, isn't she".
I knew he was talking about Monica I look over to her from the corner of my eye then back Brian said "Yeah" He nods "She's gorgeous" Verone stares at him then smiles said "You got balls, kid" He chuckles a bit "I can appreciate that" Verone turns "Women are a very powerful force" I sigh a bit as Verone points "You see the blonde sitting with the gentleman right here".
I look to see her talking to the man "Five minutes of her time, and she can get anything she wants from him" The woman feels the man hair "Watch" We watch the woman take the man and walk away Verone turns "I wonder where they're going" He walks pass "Sit down" Brian sits next to me as Verone looks at Roman then to me "So you two lit my man's car on fire, is that right".
I slowly nod watching him as he sits down while Roman said "Yeah, we did" I feel Baldy and his partner staring "You see, I got a problem with authority" Verone start to smile "And I decide to let Y/n help me with that just a bit of fun" I look at Verone who nods smile said, "I have that same problem" I frown a bit "For me, it's cops in particular".
He looks over to Brian and me as Monica look at us Verone looks at Roman and smiles then "Let's take a walk, come on" He gets up Monica said, "We just got here" Verone said "And now we're leaving" He helps Monica up he motion us "Let's go" I got up and walk with Brian we walk through the dance floor the girls I saw before try to get me to dance with them, but Baldy stop them.
Brian whisper "You're such a chick magnet" I shrug my shoulders as we walk through a hallway Brian, Roman and I look at each other before turning to follow Verone and Monica in front of us is a red table with a blowtorch, a metal bucket with a cloth on top, 2 gloves, and a few cable ties there.
I had a bad feeling about this Brian, Roman, and I walk pass the table looking at the stuff Roman ask, "What's all that" We look at Verone who holds a wine bottle said, "We're going to have a little fun" He pops the cork and pours a couple of glasses we look around as Monica said, "Thank you".
Suddenly we hear a voice said, "Let's get out of here" We look to see the woman and man from before the woman said, "It'll be fun, let's stay longer" The man turns as Verone chuckles said "Hey, Carter" Verone look to us "Meet Detective Whitworth" We look to Carter "One of Miami's finest".
The woman leaves "Thank you, sweetheart" Carter turns "You enjoying yourself, Detective" Carter said "Yeah, I was" He smiles "I mean, you know me" Verone said "Yeah" He frowns "I do know you" He then points "You've been on my payroll a long time" Carter shake his head said "Verone, that ain't right" But Verone said "Shut up".
Carter walks forward "I've got one last job for you, Detective, you hear me" We stare at this as Carter said "Look, we've been all through this" Verone ask "Yeah" Carter said "Yeah, and I said I can't do it" Verone just said "That's the wrong answer" He looks at Baldy and his partner "The table" So both Baldy and his Partner grab Carter who struggles.
We watch as they place Carter on the table while another guy holds his legs Carter groans said, "I'm a detective, Verone" Baldy and his Partner put the cable ties around Carter's wrist "You do anything to me, the whole force is gonna be on your as in a minute" Verone takes a knife out said, "Shut your mouth, you fat piece of shit".
Verone cuts the buttons off Carter shirt to reveal his stomach who said, "Stop right now" Verone takes the cloth off, and we look to see him pull out a rat "What the hell" My bad feeling was right "What the hell is that" Verone said "Sit down" So Brian, Roman and I sit down on a couch as Carter said, "You're going to regret this, stop right now".
Verone looks at Carter holding the bucket he said, "Once the bucket gets hot enough, Detective, the rat is gonna want out" We watch Verone hover the rat over Carter stomach the rat squeals "And the only direction it can go, is south" Verone place the rat on Carter's stomach and put the bucket on top Baldy's partner holds the bucket "Hold that" We watch Verone grab the blowtorch as Carter said, "Get it off me, I'll forget this ever happened".
But Verone turns the blowtorch on said "Shut up" He turn the torch on and holds it near the bucket making the flame touch the metal as Carter watch "Did you know that your average rat can chew through a steel drainpipe" He moves the torch around the bucket "You see, you have nothing to worry about when he's nothing screaming, Detective".
The rat squeals "It's when he goes quiet that he goes to work" I keep my cool watch as Carter yell "Stop it, stop it, stop it" Verone moves the torch "You can't be this stupid, stop it now" Verone keeps going said "You're in charge of the units that are watching my properties" He stop the blowtorch "What I want is, I want a 15-minute window where everybody, and I mean everybody, disappears".
Carter leans back "You hear me" Carter said, "I can't do it" Verone ask "You can't" He looks to us smiling Carter said, "Stop it" Verone said "Okay" He turns to Monica "Monica, come here" Carter yells "Help, help" Monica walks over Verone said "Shut him up" Monica walks pass "Shut him up" Carter keeps yelling as Monica "Help".
Verone turns the touch back on we watch Monica kneel "Help" Monica covers Carter's mouth I move back a bit shock "It's biting me" We stare as Carter cries Verone ask "What" Carter screams "Got something you want to say" Monica lets go so Carter said, "It bit me, Jesus" We stare "I'll do it" Verone heard ask "Do what, say it".
Carter move his head give up said "I'll do it, I'll give you your window" He breaths as Verone nods "Just get it off me" Verone turns the blowtorch off "Get it off" Verone stares at Carter and said, "You betray me, and my rat here is gonna visit your wife, Lynn" That got Carter's attention "Your son, Clay, and your daughter, Lexi".
Carter close his eyes "Do you hear me" We look at Verone "Do you understand me" Verone grabs Carter's face "You hear me" Carter said, "Get it off" Verone turn the blowtorch on said "I'll burn your fucking eyes out, I'll burn them out" He turns it off "Now, you can go" He pat Carter's chest "Get rid of him, let's go".
The bucket came off to reveal the rat that was taken and marks as Carter in pain said, "Get it off" We watch Baldy and his partner take Carter away as we watch Verone turns to us smiling he drinks he looks at us ask "You boys enjoy the show" We didn't answer just stare "Fifteen minutes, and then every cop in Florida's gonna be on you".
He points at us "Be at Versailles Café at 6:00am, day after tomorrow, ready to drive" He stares at us "You understand" Brian said "Yeah" Verone said "Don't play games with me or you'll be next, all right" He motion to the side "Help yourself to a little champagne, let's go" With that he and Monica, both leave us in the room alone Roman said "That was a damn rat, man".
I slowly nod leanforward rub my face and my hair Brian said, "Let's get out of here" So we gotup and walk out of the room, passing the dance floor out of the building andgot in the car I reach into my pocket and pull out a yellow fruit eat it tocalm down.
