*Sabres pov*
Hey! My name's Favremysabre, Sabre for short, my friends and I have quite a dangerous job compared to others. We're Hunters...well...not any kind of hunters... We're cryptid hunters.
We hunt things seen as rather dangerous such as... Legends, myths, cyptids and so on...
I myself have hunted a lot of entities such as herobrine, enderbrine, netherbrine-yeah I've been on a brine hunt, pretty dangerous.
I've also hunted entity 303, null, minecraft glitches and a lot more, I think you know where this is going.
I have 3 friends who also hunt cryptids.
One who's very good with nets, traps and pvp named Shark. He's the camper, he has a LOT of patience, a lot more than me. He basically sits and waits for days for his prey to walk right in a trap.
The second friend is UnspeakableGaming, but we call him Nathan. He's rather loud and scared of entities, although... When it comes to a 1v1 he's pretty good at taking down prey. He doesn't catch his victims alive, he kills them as soon as he gets the chance. Normally he keeps something of theirs as a trophy... like... Their head or maybe a special feature about them like wings, tails or ears...
The third one is Moose. He's pretty good with tranquilizer guns and bows but not as good as me. Moose is more kind of like a trap himself. He makes entities think he's passive and friendly, but as soon as they trust him, he'll stab them in the back. He also kills his victims, just like Nathan. These two normally work as a Duo. Moose befriends the prey and then ambushes them alongside Nathan when they least expect it.
Both Nathan and Moose prefer targets that don't have some kind of special ability like... Summoning Lightning, controlling water, y'know that kind of supernatural power.
I personally like keeping my targets alive. Most of the time when I hunt, it's because I get a hit list or a request to catch something for a payer. They pay me and I'll catch them what they ask of me, most of the time when people call me it's because they want me to catch a powerful entity. It's fairly easy for me to get targets that don't have powers, but the powerful ones are fun too, cause they give me a challenge and that adrenalin rush I get when I hunt. My preferred weapon of choice is my tranquilizer, my potions and my syringe, which is also shoot able with a crossbow. It's fairly easy to get targets with powers when you have extra strong narcotics.
I also use daggers sometimes but I don't like the fact that I have to get close to my target when I use them.
I prefer wide range attacks over short range.
Alright. Recently I've gotten a request from an anonymous buyer who wants me to investigate something called 'steve'.
So I have to go see what kinds there are and write down what they're capable of. When I think I've got everything I need of information I should report back to them. If there are any interesting ones the buyer would pay extra to get them that specific steve.
To be honest... These steve's are fairly new and there's little to no information about them. All that's known is that there are different colors... The only steve that's been confirmed as seen is a green steve...
There have been reports of other steve's like... A red steve and a blue steve... Although it's unsure if these are credible sources, since most of the people who have made these reports we're proven to be mentally sick. Some say that the steve's might've caused that but... I don't think so. Actually those two steves, the blue and red one, were reported by the same person. The guy might just want attention...
Welp... I'm gonna go to the reported sightings. They are in a different server, a completely new created one, ever since the sightings the owner didn't have the guts to build anything there. So I'll make my way there with Shark, Moose and Nathan.
Those three wanted to come with me, they weren't requested by the buyer, I guess they wanna get an eye on those steves as well. Probably wanna get a head as a trophy or something like that.
Right now I'm sitting in my room getting all my gear ready.
I'm taking with me... A bunch of bags. Most of them containing food and stuff. In this world I should be able to access my inventory so I'll take an ender chest, netherite - pickaxe, -axe, - sword, -shovel and - hoe. Not to forget my trident. It's a riptide trident for missions against entities with powers. It's always very useful when an entity has a water ability and I can use the trident to get around.
I'll also take my tranquilizer gun and my reinforced bow. Most of my stuff is reinforced with netherite, my daggers, tranquilizer gun, crossbow, well... Tools like mentioned, my clothes are also reinforced with netherite and I gave them hidden enchantments.
Hidden enchantments are basically normal enchantments but you can't see the purple glow around the enchanted item. So only if you know there's a spell on that item is how to see it. Well not see it. I mean in the inventory when you hover over the item. But when you don't know about that spell it won't show it to you. It would just look like a normal item.
Same as my clothes, all my tools are also enchanted with hidden enchantments.
The thing I'll plan on wearing for the hunt-
Uh-... Mission? It's not really a hunt if I'm not hunting any prey... Well... I'm hunting information???
Ugh I don't know. Welp. Time to pack more stuff.
Maybe I should just use a cheat code...
The server I'm joining tomorrow does have cheats on and the owner will come online for a few minutes to give me moderator rights.
When I get Moderator rights I can basically use creative mode or just give myself ranks that could help the investigation.
I'm not gonna grief the owners server, so I won't go into creative mode. Maybe... I could check if the server has worldbuilder ranks... If thats on the server I could have access to all blocks I could ever want.
It's a special cheat that you can put on a bundle. So basically it makes the bundle turn into an infinite block source.
So creative mode in a bundle :)
Its definetly overpowered and can only be enchanted with cheat codes. Only server owners and moderators of the 1st rank can enchant a bundle with such an enchantment.
Well I've prepared everything I'll need for tomorrow.

---timeskip to tomorrow morning 5:30 am---
I wake up and put on my hunter outfit.
It's bulit together with brown pants that don't rip easily, together with almost knee high leather boots, which are amazing for climbing and running in any terrain. The boots have a hidden strap that I can put hidden daggers onto. I also just wear a light and dark Grey stripped shirt and my green jacket and a belt that has loads of tranquilizer emergency needles hidden on it...
I can use these needles when something is pinning me down. I quickly grab one and jam it into the thing apprehending me.
The narcotics in those needles are extremely strong and can take down a ravager with just one needle.
I also have a belt that I can bind over my shoulder and around my body, it's for narcotics on hand so I can reload my tranquilizer as fast as possible.
Another thing I have, are a lot of bags, so I have some extra inventory space.
As always I have my blindfold on.
All my tools are enchanted with 'curse of binding'
so nothing and no one can take these from me.
Alright. I'm supposed to meet my missionary at 6:30 at the center city.
Alright off I go.
I start my way to the center of the city, I live outside the city so it's relatively far away from here, but luckily there's a direct bus connection that reaches the center city in no time.
I get in the bus and watch as the trees fly by, slowly I start seeing less trees and more buildings.
I drive for around half an hour until I reach my stop.
I get out and start heading towards the building where I'm supposed to meet the payer.
It's quite a big and modern building, kinda like a skyscraper.
I walk up to the office I'm supposed to meet them at and knock on the door.
A muffled "come in" can be heard.
I open the door and walk in.
I close the door behind me and sit down in a chair by a table.
Sitting across from me is a man in a fancy suit with some badges on his chest.
I can clearly see that he's an agent... If I'm not wrong he's a military commander that manly works at area 77.
I've been there before, I've received several missions from them before. I know that location is supposed to secure all unnatural things, which is why they wanted me to chatch them a ghost that had been causing chaos in a city.
I take a good look at the man in front of me. He has a scar across his face and he looks to be 30 to 40 years old...brown hair and a trusting smirk.
"ah, you must be the hunter that doc told me about. So... Are you fit for the job?" the commander asks me.
"yes, most definetly. I have everything ready to start investigating on those creatures." I answer with Stern confidence.
"good, doc wasn't kidding when he said you are a serious man. Well then, I trust in you to find as much information as you can and then return to report back to me." the scar faced authoritarian commands in a rather cheerful tone.
He gave me more details for the mission and eventually sends me off to go to the mission location.
I meet my three friends and we get ready to join the server.
We get transported there and are met with the admin of said server.
"ok... I will only give one of you Moderator rights, which would be the one who came here for that investigation." the admin says while typing in the command.
"right, my name's favremysabre, I'll be conducting the investigation." I say while watching the owner type.
"alright here, to be honest you can build things in this world as long as you don't TNT the entire realm." the admin warns before he says his goodbyes and the departure message showed up in chat as he logs out.
Alright.
"well... Imma go through the world investigating where to find a steve." I say to my friends while grabbing out a compass, book and quill and a clock.
"alright, shark, moose and I will be staying together, you can do as you please." Nathan says and grabs out a map.
"alright, I would like to distance myself from y'all, cause if you guys will be hunting it only gets in the way of the investigation." I say with a smirk.
"awe... Oh well, means we get to be more brutal." moose laughs.
"alright. I think I'll start heading north. You guys can go anywhere but north." I say in a warning tone...
"alright, we'll go south then, oh and stay in contact through chat aight?" shark says while walking backwards, away from me.
I wave off my friends and then start heading north.

I've been walking for a while, it's already 5pm... Looks like I won't be finding one today.
Well... At least I ended up somewhere nice!
A flowerbiome! I like these a lot.
It's basically flat land with some birch and oak trees with loads of flowers all over the place.
Oh. Now that I think about it... I should check if I can enchant the bundle.
I take out my bundle, make sure it's empty and then type in the command.
Alright. Oh! Yeah there's the enchantment! Perfect!
I press enter to enchant the item.
Nice.
I open the bundle and am met with something close to a creative inventory.
I take out some wool and start building a green tent.
After I'm Set up I make a nice little campfire and ready some steak to cook.
I sit back and watch as the fire cooks my steak.
"... Hm... I feel watched." I mumble to myself and grab out my book and quill, on the book it says 'steve investigation'.
I carefully look around and listen for any sound. The only thing I can hear is the silent night and the campfire sizzling.
Hm...
I hope the others are okay... What if there actually are creatures out here.
They can handle themselves, right...?
Ugh... I need to stop worrying and continue listening if there's anything out there.
Hm... I think I'll just continue preparing food... But I should stay alert... Just in case.
I look down and find my steak already cooked.
"oh! It's already done! :)" I say in surprise and take the steak off the fire.
I happily much down on my steak and enjoy the evening.
Not knowing that the thing which I thought was far away, is closer than expected.

I was just enjoying my afternoon in the nearby flower field, when I discovered something strange.
A creature that resembled a steve yet didn't follow one color...
As much as I was afraid of this thing... It seemed peaceful.
I saw it - him??? Hm... They? ... They were setting up a tent and a campfire.
After a while of watching them from a far I got too curious and I went to a tree that is barely 20 blocks away from them.
I accidentally made a small cracking sound by stepping on a stick.
It made them alert and look around.
I noticed that... Instead of a weapon... They pulled out a book.
Whatever this thing was... I don't think it's dangerous.
Well... I've been sitting here on the ground watching whatever that thing was doing ever since it started eating.
It's dark enough that I can sit out in the open and just watch.
They're very interesting to watch cause... They behave just like a steve... They just don't look like one...
Something that I did notice is that... They're exactly 2 blocks of hight, so they're a little bit shorter than me...with my 2,2 blocks.
Maybe it's just a coincidence.
Well... It looks like they're heading to rest in the tent...
Hm... Should I get a closer look... Or should I go tell the others about it...
What if the others attack them...
Maybe... I'll just tell red and blue for now.
I get up and start quietly walking away.
When I feel I've put a good distance between me and that new thing I start summoning lightning to teleport myself.

It takes a few seconds but I eventually reach my destination.
I'm at blue steve's house.
I look around at the small house in the middle of a crater, surrounded by waterfalls.
Blue steve basically lives in the middle of the sea on a small island in the middle of a gianormus crater.
It's like someone made a 400 block radius hole in the ocean and then put a small bit of land at the bottom of this gianormus hole.
Apearantly the water flows into a big hole underneath the iland. The hole under the iland then leads to hundreds of huge tunnels that lead back to other waterfalls 2000 blocks away, all that water then runs back into the sea.
It's crazy how big yet beautiful this is!
I always enjoy coming here.
Blue steve lives here basically on his own... Apart from some visitors like me and some other blue steve's, he lives alone with 2 cats.
The next blue steve village is like... 4000 blocks away...
He always insists on being alone since he doesn't like being around too many people.
Blue steve's got a huge house as well, there's even a library in there.
Hm...will he mind if I just show up in the middle of the night?
Hmm.... Maybe I should come back tomorrow...
Hm... Okay... I'll go back to my house and sleep... Then I'll check on that thing in the morning... And THEN I tell blue steve.
Yeah! That's a good plan.
