A skinny boy in his middle-to-late teens and average height began to wake up from his slumber. He had fluffy and curly green bush-like hair, fair skin, green eyes, and freckled cheeks. Overall he had a plain look. He got out of his bed and began walking around his room over towards his dresser.
His room was full of nothing but merchandise of the man that stopped the Nomu.
He grabbed a few clothes from his dresser and walked into the bathroom to get ready for the day. He currently lived in an apartment building. After twenty minutes, the boy walks out of the bathroom, ready for the day. He now wore a black school uniform. He then walks into the kitchen of the apartment to see his mother there.
His mother is a short larger woman. She had fair skin, green eyes, and shoulder-length dark green hair tied in a ponytail. She wore a pink long sleeve shirt with a dark green skirt.
"Morning, mom." The boy said with a smile.
"Good morning Izuku. How did you sleep last night?" His mother asks.
She sets a plate of bacon and eggs for her son to eat.
"I slept well." Izuku said as he sat down.
"That's good. You're supposed to be getting your career aptitude test results today with Nathan, right?" His mother asks.
"Yep. Though it probably won't matter. Most of the kids in our class want to become heroes." Izuku told his mother.
"Well, I doubt most will be able to with their attitudes." His mother said with a slight glare.
"Come on, mom. They're all not that bad." Izuku said, trying to defend his classmates.
"Because Nathanial is there at Voldera with you." His mom said.
She then started tearing up while looking at her son.
"I don't know what your father and I would do if you didn't have someone protecting you at school. Even though you still have a friend with you, I worry. What if they do something to you that Nathanial can't help you with?" Midoriya's mother sniffs.
"Don't worry, mom. Everything will be alright." Izuku said with a large bright smile. Sparkles seemed to radiate off of him.
"I know. I'm sure they will be." His mother sighed out, starting to calm down.
"But that doesn't mean I won't cry in fear that I'll lose you." His mom said as literal waterfalls of tears rain from her eyes.
They heard a knock at the door. Izuku's mom walks over and opens the door. When she opens the door, she is met with the sight of another boy the same age as her son.
The boy looked about the same height, if not taller than Izuku. He has fair skin, brown eyes, and chin-length raven hair. A small raven goatee growing on his chin. He had on the same uniform as Izuku, a pair of square black-framed glasses, and black and yellow sneakers.
"Good morning Aunt Inko." The boy said in a calm tone.
"Good morning Nathanial." Inko said with a smile.
She lets Nathanial in, who immediately walks and sits on the couch.
"Hey, Izuku, you have everything right?" Nathanial asks from his spot on the couch.
"Yeah, everything is in my bag." Izuku states as he gets out of his seat.
He then walks over to the door and grabs a pair of red high-top shes with black laces and white bottoms.
"Alright. We'll have some extra time if traffic is good." Nathanial states as he got up.
"I doubt traffic will be nice today. There's usually at least one villain attack a day now. Especially with those nomu villains running around." Inko said in worry.
"I'm sure it will be fine, Aunt Inko. I've been training since freshman year for the hero exams next year. I'm sure that if we get in an unavoidable confrontation, I can at least hold the villain back until professional heroes arrive." Nathanial said with a reassuring smile as he walks past her.
"Besides. I doubt we have much to worry about. A lot of heroes have been around Musutafu lately. I doubt there will be too much trouble on our way to school." Nathanial said as Izuku ran over to his room and grabbed a yellow backpack.
"If you're sure, Nathanial." Inko said, worry still on her face.
"I'm sure. You don't have to worry about us, Aunt Inko." Nathanial calmly soothed the worried woman.
Both boys then began their leave from the apartment building. Izuku saying goodbye to his mother before closing the door.
"Bye, mom. I'll see you soon." Izuku said before closing the door.
"She seems to be in a jumpier mood today. Is everything alright with your dad?" Nathanial asks as the two boys walk down the apartment complex's stairs.
"Actually, he's been in a happy mood over the year. I think he's making progress at the support lab." Izuku told Nathanial.
"That's good. Maybe it will help quell some of this recent crime wave." Nathanial sighed.
"My parents have been worried about those Nomus too. It takes over a dozen average heroes to take down only one of them. Luckily the top heroes seem to be able to handle those guys, and there aren't very many of them." Nathanial said as they got to the apartment complex's parking lot.
The two then walk up to a yellow and black Ural Gear Up motorcycle. It had a matching colored open roof sidecar. Inside the sidecar was a grey backpack with lots of zippers.
Nathanial walks over to the motorcycle and throws Izuku the green helmet sitting on the seat, next to a black one.
"You know the drill." Nathanial said as he took off his glasses and put the helmet on. He then sits in the front seat of the motorcycle.
Izuku sets his yellow backpack into the sidecar and gets on the back of the motorcycle. The two then drove off towards their school. After a few minutes, they were forced to stop. They were forced to because a large crowd was gathered in front of their path.
"Crap looks like a villain attack is happening." Nathanial sighed, knowing what his friend would do next.
Sure enough, Izuku got off the bike, takes off his helmet, grabbed his bag, and pushed to the front of the crowd to see the fight.
"One of the problems with being a hero nut's friend. Waiting for them to finish watching the fight up close. I mean, I'm a nerd myself but, that doesn't mean I'd rush into the face of danger just to watch a fight. Oh well, it's not like we'll get in trouble since the road is blocked off from the attack. Might as well watch the show." Nathanial said to himself, taking off his helmet and chasing after his friend.
He pushed his way through the crowd to see Izuku staring at the fight in amazement. Nathanial looked ahead to see what today's commotion was.
When he did, he saw that the heroes were fighting against a giant villain. The villain's head was shaped like a shark with dark brown dreadlocks on the back of his head. He also had a light red beard and was very muscular. The villain's black shirt was ripped apart, exposing his abdomen, and he also wore light blue pants.
"Huh, now that is an impressive quirk. Wonder what he did?" Nathanial absentmindedly said as he watched the fight.
"I heard he stole a purse." A person next to Nathanial said.
Nathanial turned to the person with a raised eyebrow.
"Really, that's it?" He asks before turning back to the fight.
"Not a very smart guy. I guess that's lucky for us. We don't need a powerhouse like that getting stronger and joining a villain team." Nathanial said as he watched.
The villain was going up against three heroes.
One was a hero who seemed to be dressed like a firefighter. He also wore a white mask with one orange gem on the front to give it a cyclops-like appearance. On his back was a red water tank with a thin cannon attached to it. His hands were replaced with two red and black water faucets.
The second hero that Nathanial saw was a large muscular man. He had lightly tanned skin, white hair spiked in the back, brown eyes, and a large square jaw. He wore a police tape-themed headband on his head, a cyan cardigan that exposed his abdomen and chest, blue pants with a white stripe on the sides, and black boots. His wrists were guarded with large metallic wrist guards that had the same pattern as his headband.
The last hero that Nathanial saw was a man with an athletic build. He wore a dark blue bodysuit with a wooden belt, wooden gauntlets that stopped before his shoulders, wooden boots, and wooden kneepads. He also wore a wooden masked helmet with a yellow line going down the middle. Nathanial's focus, however, was on the large muscular hero.
"Oh, cool, Death Arms is fighting. Hey, Izuku. Who's the guy dressed as a firefighter and the one dressed in mainly wood?" Nathanial asks.
"The fireman is Backdraft. He's a hero that focuses on disaster rescues. The woodman is Kamui Woods. He's a rising star among pro heroes right now with his skills." Izuku said happily as he watched the fight.
The villain slammed their hand into a tower and sent it flying towards the crowd. Nathanial quickly got in front of Izuku, and a wavy blackish-purple substance started to emit from his hand. He, however, didn't need to make a move as Death Arms got in front of the crowd and caught the falling tower.
Backdraft then got in front of the crowd and created a fence of water from his faucet hands.
"Everyone, please stand back. This area is far too dangerous." Backdraft told them.
"Cool, it's the rescue specialist hero: Backdraft." Someone next to Nathanial said.
"Sorry, I'm going to be late today. There's nothing I can do about it. A villain is currently blocking the trains. I'll try to get there, but it will take a while." Someone said on their phone.
Kamui Woods's gauntlet started to branch out and attach to a street light. He then swings from the street light towards the villain.
"GO KAMUI WOODS!" A group of fangirls exclaims.
That caused Nathanial to rub his ears in slight pain.
"That is something I am not looking forward to when we become heroes, Izuku." Nathanial said in annoyance as he looked towards his friend.
Izuku himself had a white and blue notebook out. On the cover was the name Hero Analysis Notebook Number 13 in black writing. At the bottom of the cover was the name Campos in light blue writing. As he wrote in his notebook, he rapidly muttered to himself.
"Kamui Woods quirk allows him to manipulate wood. It seems that he can manipulate the size of it at will. Does that mean he could manipulate the density as well?" Izuku questioned quietly.
"I'm not even going to bring up how those first to sentences can be taken the wrong way." Nathanial thought.
"Oh, you two are wanting to be heroes?" A citizen that looked to be in his fifties asks.
Both Nathanial and Izuku look over at the man. As they talked, Kamui Woods continues his fight with the giant villain.
"I see with that notebook of yours you're a fanboy, right?" The man asks with a grin towards Midoriya.
"Uh, well." Izuku stutters, embarrassed.
Kamui Woods lands on top of a train before going into a speech.
"Illegal quirk use during rush hour and robbery that resulted in bodily injury. You are the incarnation of evil!" Kamui Woods exclaims.
"He's making a dramatic speech, isn't he?" Nathanial questions.
He can't actually hear Kamui Woods but can tell he's saying something based on both him and the villain not moving.
"Probably. You know these heroes. Always have to do their jobs flashily." The older man said with a laugh.
"Yep." Nathanial agreed. Popping the p for emphasis.
Kamui Woods glares at the villain after his speech and rears his arm back.
"Pre-emptive." Kamui Woods exclaims
"Here it comes." Izuku said excitedly upon seeing Kamui Woods rear his arm back.
"Binding."
"Show us something flashy, Tree-man!" The older man shouts.
"Lacquered Chain Prison!" Kamui Woods exclaims as he shoots out large branches from his wooden gauntlet towards the villain.
Nathanial had an indifferent look on his face as he watched. However, out of the bottom of his eye. He saw another person charging towards the villain. He couldn't see much of the person from behind.
The person had waist-length blond hair covering their body. Nathanial could make out a pair of long feminine legs that lead to a shapely rear causing him to blush slightly. Nathanial noticed they wore a skin-tight bodysuit making Nathanial assume they wore a hero. He saw that the bodysuit was pale tan-colored at her shapely rear and that the person wore knee-high sock-like boots with orange accents. They wore a pair of elbow-length gloves of similar design to their boots. He also saw a pair of purple bull horns in their blond hair.
Nathanial watched as the person charged before they suddenly grew to be the same size as the villain. The person then jumped and did a flying kick to the large villain while shouting.
"Canyon Cannon!" The person slams their foot into the villain before Kamui Woods move could reach him.
This caused both to hit a building and do quite a bit of damage to it. The person who took down the villain crouched down and turned to the crowd with a smile. When they did, Nathanial could clearly see the person was a woman. The crowd could see that she had fair skin, purple eyes, and a purple domino mask over her face.
"Hi, my name is Mt. Lady. Today is my debut as a hero. It's nice to make your ass-quaintance." The woman said with a smile.
Nathanial blushed at seeing the woman. Next to him, he heard a lot of people taking pictures while saying.
"Here it is, here it is, here it is."
Kamui Woods watched her pose as pictures kept being taken. He had a look of despair on his face and slumped.
"Sh-she's getting all the credit." He moaned in despair as he looked at the ground.
"That has to hurt. Doing all that work only for it to be stolen in one move." Nathanial muttered. Giving a look of pity to the depressed Kamui Woods.
Izuku was writing something in his hero notebook while muttering about Mt.Lady.
"She has a gigantification quirk. It looks like she'll become a popular hero with such an amazing quirk. But the property damage that can come with a quirk like that will also be large. That is unless she can control how much she grows at a time." Izuku muttered.
"Izuku, we have to get going now. I want to get back to my bike before I get another ticket." Nathanial told his friend as he placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder.
Izuku woke up from his muttering trans and looked at Nathanial with a nod. The two rushed back to Nathanial's bike. When they arrive, Nathanial quickly checked to make sure nothing like a ticket was attached. Upon seeing nothing attached to his bike, Nathanial let out a sigh of relief.
"Good, we got here before I got into trouble." Nathanial said as he and Izuku got back on the bike.
The two had to wait a little while for traffic to move again. After a few minutes, they were able to be back on their way to school. The two soon arrived at their school.
The school was a large four floored red building with a sign outside the front that said. Voldera High School.
"Another day at this hell hole." Nathanial sighs as he parks in a parking space close to the school. He and Izuku get off and grab their bags. Before anything else, Izuku gets a text. He checks it to see it was from his dad.
Dad: Izuku you and Nathanial come to my work after school
I have a surprise for you
Izuku: Alright dad.
We'll see you then.
"Dad wants us to visit him after school. Is that alright?" Izuku asks Nathanial, who nods.
"It's fine." Nathanial says.
The two then walk into the school.
