I cried hard. I didn't even get to my bed, I was on my fucking floor crying. Over a boy. The last time I cried over a boy it was Ashton and Blake had held me through the entire time I cried. Now I have myself to hold myself. But I have no problem with that, I'd rather people only see me in my strong moments.
But of course, what I want never comes true because Mason just jumped through my window. I wish I could stop crying, but my tears wouldn't let me. Mason looked at me with sad eyes and picked me up in his arms. I sobbed for hours, neither of us saying a word. Once I was finished, I went to look in the mirror.
I looked like hell. My hair was ratty and my cheeks were stained, makeup running down them. My eyes were red and puffy. I grabbed some clothes and went into the shower. After my shower, I dressed in an oversized t-shirt and comfy shorts. I put my hair up in a bun on the top of my head and walked out. Mason was still here, lying on my bed. I bit my lip and walked over to my bed and layed down, facing him.
"I'm sorry you had to witness that." I said quietly, not making eye contact.
He lifted my chin up, making me have eye contact with him.
"Just tell me why I had to sit here with you for hours instead of your best friends." Mason demanded softly.
"It was just a fight with a friend, no biggie." I said.
"What friend? Don't tell me it's no biggie when I held you for hours as you cried."
"Fine. It was Lily's brother. I happened to be friends with him and some stuff happened."
"Quit avoiding it, just tell me."
"Okay, not my fault if you don't want to hear it afterwards. Lily's brother kissed me a few weeks back, but you know that since you're an eavesdropper. I was going to stay at Lily's, so I thought I would cut the awkwardness with him and it turned into a huge fight about the best friend rule and he told me to get out of the house, so I left."
"Best friend rule?"
"You can't kiss or like like the best friend's siblings in any way."
"It's funny how you say like like instead of love."
"I made the rule, it's like like."
"Now if it was just a regular guy, I'd tell you to burn his house down. But since it's Lily's brother, you can't do that."
I rolled my eyes and got out off my bed. Walking downstairs, I heard Mason's footsteps behind me. Oh thank god no one is home. I walked into the kitchen and started searching the cupboards for food. Believe it or not, I was too short to reach the candy cupboard. I climbed onto the counter top and opened the cupboard, taking the candy out.
I sat down on the counter top, looking through the candy to see what I wanted. Mason stood in between my legs as I searched. I groaned in fustration. There was no candy that I liked! This is a fucking outrage!
"I hate all this fucking candy." I muttered.
Mason chuckled and took some candy. The last lolipop that I liked. How could I not see that? I narrowed my eyes at him as he put it in his mouth. Asshole.
"Let's go rob Wal-Mart." I said, hopping off the counter.
Mason raised his eyebrows at me, but followed. I grabbed my keys and got into my car, Mason in the passenger side. We arrived at Wal-Mart and went over the plan before putting masks and gloves on. It just makes it more entertaining.
We walked into Wal-Mart ignoring the stares. We walked into the candy isle and stuffed as much candy in our bags without anyone seeing. I nodded at Mason, motioning to run out of Wal-Mart. We ran out of the store, laughing as the security guy tried to chase us. I started my car as Mason shoved the candy in the back seat.
We high-fived as I pulled out of Wal-Mart. Searching for any cops, I found none so the coast is clear... For now. We arrived back at my house and I parked in the garage, just in case. I made Mason carry the candy all the way up to my room since I didn't really feel like it and I made the plan.
It wasn't even an hour later before my mom knocked on my door. I quietly shoved Mason under my bed and opened the door. My mom had her hands on her hips and looked pretty angry. She's always angry, what's new anymore.
"So, I had to hear from Adam that you're sneaking around, with a boy. Do I have to get your father?" My mom asked, walking into my room, searching through my stuff.
"Adam is always trying to get me in trouble. Did you know, today he robbed Wal-Mart?" I replied, pushing her away from my stuff.
"Don't lie to me, Lynette."
"I'm not lying, Mother. But I am trying to study, so if you would get out that would be great."
"Fine."
She left and I locked my door and pulled Mason out from under my bed.
"So, pinning this on your brother?" Mason asked.
"Yeah, we toss the blame around until our parents are confused and decide not to punish us." I explained.
"Hmm, maybe I should try that sometime."
My phone started ringing, Lily.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Prom is in eight days, Posion Ivy, eight days! And no one asked me." Lily freaked out.
"Little Flower, it's fine no one asked me either. We can go together."
"Hmm, you're with someone. Who are you with?"
"Demanding, I'm with Mason."
"I knew it because you didn't tell me the blunt truth. Tell me the truth!"
"You're so fucking dramatic, Lily. You need to take a chill pill, just because no one asked you doesn't mean you can't go. I paid too much money for your dress."
"I would've bought it!"
"We do this every year, you're going whether you like it or not. Cocaine has already dyed her hair brown for prom and that means we're going."
"Ugh, fine. I'll get hair and makeup appointments."
"I knew you would, I love you Little Flower."
"No you don't."
I laughed and hung up before turning back to Mason.
"She's a hand full." I said, plopping myself down next to him.
"I don't think she's as much of a hand full as you are." Mason teased.
"Oh shut up! You wouldn't know because she's nice and shit around new people."
He didn't answer, so I cuddled up next to him, laying my head on his chest. He sighed to himself and started playing with my hair. I thought it through before looking up at him and pressing my lips to his. His arms wrapped around my waist and he began kissing me back.
-
It's actually been kind of awkward for Mason and I after the kiss. He left and didn't even look back. I don't even care anymore. Let's just put him to the side until he talks to me again.
As of now, I was lying on the beach in my orange and white bikini. Lily and Coco were here also, getting a real tan instead of a fake. It wasn't really hard for me to ignore Mason and Lily won't talk to Grayson. Hoes before bros I guess.
My phone rang, Mason. I pressed the decline button and laid back down, ignoring the looks from Coco. After the third time he called me, Coco took my phone and answered it.
"Hi, this is Coco. Ivy doesn't want to talk now so it'd be nice if we could have a day together without you blowing up her phone." Coco said into the phone.
"Mhm, I bet he did."
It's hard only listening to one side of the conversation, you don't understand.
"Fine, you can talk to her."
Coco handed my phone back over to me and I took it.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Sorry this is on bad circumstances, but Ashton somehow got my number." Mason said.
"What do you want me to do?"
"Get him off my back."
"Hm, fine. As long as you leave me alone."
"I'd rather deal with him then."
"Fine, then leave me alone until I'm ready to talk to you. Remember, you gave me the silent treatment first."
I hung up and dialed Ashton, mouthing 'Ashton' to Lily. Lily furrowed her eyebrows and Coco pulled her aside.
"Finally want to talk to me, eh?" Ashton answered.
"Yeah, I guess that's it. Just leave Mason alone." I said.
"No, he's fun to mess with."
"What do you want from me?"
"Take me back."
I bit my lip and looked back at Coco and Lily who were talking. I thought about it for a second before making a terrible decision.
"Okay." I answered, sighing.
"Good girl."
"I'm not a dog, do not talk to me like that. Now goodbye."
I hung up as Lily and Coco returned to my sides. I explained to them and Coco almost wanted to choke the hell out of me for my poor decision. I probably would too if I was her. Lily only sighed and gave me the sad eyes.
-
"Oh come on, live a little." Ashton whined.
"Remember what happened last time?" I asked.
"That was your own fault."
"You don't pin the blame on me when you were the one who made me!"
"Would you jump off a bridge if I told you to?"
"No, you would push me, I wouldn't even have a say in it! This is bullshit!"
Ashton's arms went around my waist and pulled me close to him.
"I won't let you overdose this time. I promise." He promised.
I laid my head on his chest and grumbled a 'yes'. We've been dating for a week. I still haven't talked to Mason. Today was prom and he wanted me to go to an after party at some one's house. Last time I went to a party with Ashton I overdosed on drugs and was drunker than shit.
I planted a small kiss on his lips before going to go get a shower. After my shower, I dressed in sweats and walked downstairs. I climbed into Coco's car and she drove us to get our hair and makeup done.
Lily's makeup was gold eyeshadow and nude lipstick and her hair was in a waterfall braid. Coco's makeup was blue-green smokey eye that matched the color of her dress with nude lipstick also and her hair was curled. My makeup was a black smokey eye with red lipstick and my hair was in a fishtale braid.
We went back to my house and dressed in our dresses. I say we looked good. Ashton had agreed. Hmm, I wonder what Mason would think. I shook him out of my mind and placed my heels on as we waited for our limo.
Once it arrived, we got inside and it drove us to the school where we got out and headed to the gym where the prom was being held. My school's too cheap to have it anywhere else. We hooked arms and walked in together. My left arm was hooked onto Ashton's, my right arm was hooked onto Lily and her right arm was hooked onto Coco's left.
Coco and Lily walked off to find Grayson and McKenzie, leaving Ashton and I. I was quite uncomfortable with this. Ever since we had started dating again, I tried to keep us around someone. The last time I was completely alone with Ashton, he was really touchy feely and it was weird. He is just weird. But I'm only dating him so he'll leave Mason alone.
I don't know why I'm doing this for Mason. He ignored me, so I am now ignoring him when he wants to talk to me. I'm terrible with shit like this. Ashton and I hit it off completely, no awkwardness. My brother's best friend and I hit it off also with no awkwardness.
My brother's best friend Gavin once hit on me and stuff and we ended up going out. Ashton, different story. I met his sister, Ingrid, first. Never would have expected it to end the way it ended.
"You okay?" Ashton asked.
"Yeah, I'm going to go get something to drink." I said, walking towards the drinks table.
I got some punch as Mason was about to walk away. But then he saw me. I quickly looked around, making sure Ashton wasn't anywhere and pulled Mason out of the gym. I took him to an unlocked classroom and locked the door. I sat down on the floor. Mason sitting next to me awkwardly.
I sighed and crawled on his lap, pressing my lips to his. Like I had done the last time I had seen him. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist. He pulled away and looked at me.
"You're not going to ignore me again, are you?" He asked.
I bit my lip, going silent. Mason sighed and pushed me off of him, then he got up.
"It's not you..." I trailed off.
He looked back at me, "Don't give me that lame line. Why do you keep kissing me and basically leading me on?"
I laughed to myself, "I wasn't going to say it's not you it's me. I was going to say it was Ashton."
He sat back down on the floor next to me, "Why's that?"
"When I had called him to tell him to leave you alone, he said the only way he'd leave you alone is if I went out with him again."
Mason sighed and ran a hand through his hair, "So you're dating him."
I nodded and looked down.
"Why doesn't he just leave you alone?" Mason asked.
"He's controlling and stupid." I muttered.
"So why did you date him?"
"It's actually a long story..."
"I have a lot of time."
"Well buckle your seat belt 'cause this is one hell of a story."
