THREE YEARS LATER.....

Sally Jackson was an early riser. To cater for little Ty's fees and to put food on the table was no easy task, considering just how much her little man ate.

Now with the addition of a cold and emotionless teenager into her family the task became even more hard.

Of course, she had thought with the passing of Gabe Ugliano into the afterlife, that things would have been easier.

Gabe was an abusive husband and an even more jerk as a father. Never worked, never bathed or brushed his teeth and he always played poker. She always had to use the calmest of her voice to keep Poseidon from bringing the wrath of the seven seas onto her doorstep.

She didn't want to feel like a bad person, but a part of her was actually glad when the man had died. She knew Tyson clearly was.

But,nothing made him happier than getting an older brother. Which brought her back to things becoming harder than before.

Perseus Castellan was not an easy person to live with.

For one thing he almost never talked. He was a boy of extremely few words. Getting a 'hi' from him should have been considered an accomplishment.

He kept to himself, answering questions with as short statements as possible before walking to the room he and little Ty shared.

To be honest,Sally felt kinda jealous of Tyson. Out of everyone her son was the only one who made Percy smile as much as he did,but even then the smile lasted no more than a few seconds.

Financially speaking, the boy was also a drain. As May had explained to her,Percy inherited his father's speed, and with that came the need to consume as much calories as possible.

To say Percy ate a lot was an understatement.

Then came the added school fees she had to pay for the nineth grader. Then also the clothes and other accessories added onto the budget.

The mother of one sighed as she slowly got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom. After a quick shower, she got dressed for work before making her way to the dining \ kitchenette.

What she got there made her smile.

As much as Percy was an added 'expense' for lack of a better word,he always tried  to make things easier for her.

Like how she found a cup of coffee, and omelet and buttered toast waiting for her on the table.. The one responsible for such lovable actions was blurring around the living room, making last minute touches.

He paused his speed cleaning for a moment" Morning" then blurred past her and to his room.

"Morning to you too Percy" she said as she sat down and began to eat one of Percy's specials. The boy really knew how to make his coffee. First sip and Sally felt like she could take over the world.

"Peeeercy!" Came and annoyed whine belonging to her son.

"You're gonna be late Tyson, now hurry up and get dressed" came Percy's monotone reply.

"Its two hours before time!"

"Shirt on Tyson"

Sally chuckled to herself as she downed the mug and took the used utensils to the kitchen. Just before she could place them on the sink,a blur snatched them away. When she turned to look, she found Percy wiping the mug which was already clean.

"Thank you for the breakfast" she told him.

"You're welcome" he said, giving her one of his rare smiles" its the least I could do. I Know I'm not the easiest person to live with."

"Hey" she said, making his one eye look at her" I don't regret asking you to live with us,and I never will."

His smile grew wider at that"Thank you Sally"

"You're welcome, now go get ready,I'm driving you two boys to school today" she said.

"Okay" he said, and in a blink he was gone. Sally, who had been seeing strange things from the moment she knew she could see, was used to his insane and fast movements by now. Tyson ,not so much, considering he constantly pestered Percy to run him all around the world.

"Morning mom" speak of the little devil.

"Morning sweetie,did you sleep well?"

"Yep." Answered her pudgy seven year old son. Tyson, thank the high gods, had a higher gene composition of her DNA. Which meant he drew most of his looks from her not Gabe. Blue eyes, brown hair, sharp mind and kind heart.

The nine year old tossed his bag to a chair before gobbling up the breakfast Percy set for him. He was done in a few minutes and the trio made their way downstairs.

The drive to school was obviously filled with much chatter, most from Tyson. The boy inherited his father's talkativeness.

Percy was content just staring out the window watching as the car passed many things. It didn't take long to get to Tyson's school. Even before Sally could round the corner Tyson was already bouncing in his seat.

Sally knew he wanted to get out before her so she couldn't kiss his forehead and chubby cheeks or do any so called embarrassing things to him.

"Alright young man,you keep doing your mother proud, alright?"

"Sure mom"Tyson answered as he got out of the car and raced to his friends, leaving Sally with her quiet passenger.

The drive to Goode highschool was as Sally expected, quiet. Percy didn't even once glance in her direction, but Sally was content with just that. As much as she loved Percy, she knew she couldn't replace May.

May Castellan was his mother. The black ring on Percy's finger symbolized that and as long as he wore it,she was always reminded of his maternal side.

The silence wasn't awkward or anything. In fact,Sally appreciated it. Sometimes Tyson was just too chatty and she felt better that she could enjoy the silence with the only castellan in their midst.

When Goode Highschool became visible,Percy turned and faced her before he looked out again. At first Sally didn't know why he did that.

Then Percy jerked his thumb outside, pointing to someone Sally knew all too well.

Paul Blofis. A 'usual' at her hectic café. She gulped as her cheeks began to redden.

Paul was Percy's English teacher. She was lucky Percy hadn't inherited any of his Father's mischievousness or else she knew she would never live down the situation Percy found her and Paul once in her Café.

"You look like you wanna say hi" Percy said, his lone and visible stormy green eye facing her and Sally could swear she saw mirth stirring in that deep depth of his orb.

"Just get to class young man" she said hurriedly. A ghost of a smile tugged at the demigod's face as he grabbed his bag and stepped out.

"Later" he said walking away.

Sally spent one more minute just staring at her best friend's son, well former best friend. She couldn't help but feel sorry for Percy. That boy had been through so much,it was a wonder he smiled at all.

He was literally the last Castellan alive. How could he continue living after he saw both members of his family die in front of him?

The blue eyed woman sighed before driving off to work.

"Hey Mr Blofis" Percy said in that monotone voice of his. Paul smiled and was about to open his mouth to respond when" Sally says hi"

That effectively shut him up. That actually succeeded in making Percy laugh, the way his English teacher froze up and his cheeks became a little red,and he would have if he didn't spot the devil's daughter making her way towards him.

Kelli. Cheerleader, most popular girl, prom queen, girl with the best grades among other things.

To Percy, she was the bane of his existence. He really wished he could use his speed ,but he knew something about the girl was off.

His demigod instincts always kicked whenever she was near him. Maybe a part of his divine blood was telling him it was a bad idea to get into a relationship with her.

"Heeeeeey Percy" she chirped once she was in front of him. Cue the glares from every boy in the school compound. Percy sighed tiredly.

"Hey Kelli" he said to the dark skinned beauty" what's up?"

"Oh nothing much. Just busy talking to this raven haired bombshell who covers one of his eyes with his hair. Care to guess who it is?"

"Beats me" the boy replied while shrugging" is there something you needed?"

"You and me,the janitor's office, now" she said raising her eyebrow.

"Other than that?" He said with another tired sigh.

"I'm holding a party this weekend. I was wondering if you'd like to come?"

That made Percy freeze. If he refused and offer from the hot girl in front of him,who gave clear signs that she wanted him, particularly between her legs,he would be branded as a dick.

Now as much as Percy didn't care what people, especially teenagers thought of him, there was only so much of verbal and visual insults he could take before he smashed someone's head to a locker.

He didn't want to see Sally look at him disappointed. That woman had done so much for him ever since he Came back from the dead ,he didn't know if there was ever a way he could repay her. Killing her husband didn't count.

And also,he didn't want to incur her wrath. That woman was scary. There was a mysterious way that the shadows in her apartment grew darker, thicker and more ominous whenever she was angry. Of course that had never been directed at him and Percy wanted to keep it that way.

Percy gave a long look to the girl standing in front of him. His demigod instincts were going haywire now as he stared at her ever growing smirk. Were her canines always that long? The hallway was completely silent as everyone watched their interaction.

"Hmm,well played Kelli" he said,a small smile making its way to his face" Fine,I'll come"

"Really?" She seemed genuinely surprised at that. The silent gasps told him almost everyone was.

"On one condition" he added crossing his arms.

"Name it" the girl replied giddily, almost too giddily.

"That she" Percy said jerking a thumb towards a frilly red haired ,green eyed girl  was watching"comes along with me."

"Her?" Kelli asked,a look of utter distaste on her face.

"Me?" The red head said, blushing now that she was part of the center of attention.

"Yeah, her" Percy replied.

"Why her?"

"Yeah,why me?"

"Cause,I just feel like it" Percy replied.

"Fine,Castellan. She may tag along" It was clear that the girl was somehow pained when saying that.

"Cool,what's your address?"

"Text it to you" she said before she started to walk away" party starts at eight, don't be late pretty boy."

"Wouldn't dream of it Kelli" he answered as he walked to his locker, breathing a sigh of relief now that she was gone.

Chatter resumed full force in the hallway now that their interaction was over. Percy placed his bag in his neatly arranged locker before grabbing his books.

As he closed his locker,he came face to face with the red haired girl, and she did not seem too pleased at him. He wondered why?

"What is wrong with you?"

The demigod blinked. There were so many answers to that question.

"Why would you go on and do something like that?"

He blinked twice. Also had a lot of answers.

"Asking me to come to Kelli's Party with you? Do you even know who I am?" She asked.

"Rachel Elizabeth Dare, right?" He said, making her eyes widen" daughter to Richard Dare" he added with a whisper to the last part, making the girl gawk at him.

"You're in my biology class,Right?" He asked.

"Is that why? She asked" you wanted me to come with you because my old man owns a huge over seas company?"

"Can you read this here,my little brother wrote this on my cast today and I didn't make a heads or tails of what he was writing" Percy said holding his right arm out for her.

The girl,Rachel, looked confused before a shaky smile made it way to her face" Okay um mm,it says" she titled her head to have  better look"you know what,it's all gibberish. I can't help you, sorry"

"Don't be. The reason you can't read it is because there is nothing to read. You see,all if them see my hand is encased with a cast, but you,you see a cybernetic arm, don't you?"

Rachel took a step back, shock clearly evident on her Face.

"You're not crazy Rachel, you're gifted with a vision not many people have. That's why I chose you" Percy continued" Your vision is better than mine. You can see exactly what Kelli is and I need your help to take her down."

Many drivers, especially those who were driving on the road that lead to and from Long Island were in for an unusual drive.

One moment there was only them and their cars, listening to radios, humming their favorite tunes, eating burgers, changing diapers and for an occasional one, having someone bobbing her head up and down between his legs, when suddenly a loud, explosion- like boom erupted,a heavy and hot wind hit those with their windows open and their side mirrors cracked.

Those who managed to stay in control noticed an electric blue blur dash past them so fast they thought they imagined it.

Percy had his hands in his pockets as he stood in front of an almost gigantic pine tree. He sighed as he remembered a particular driving couple.

Seriously, couldn't the guy stop and park somewhere before asking his girlfriend to go down on him?

Lucky for them he was a good person. He rectified the situation.

Somewhere a long the road,a man was busy arguing with an officer as to why he had a tied up girl in the boot of his car. The guy says she was his girlfriend, the officer argued he kidnapped her. The girl agrees with the guy,the officer insists she's safe and he won't harm her any more.

Percy sighed. Perhaps he inherited a bit of his Father's sadism.  A long and deep growl above him tore him out of his thoughts. He raised his head and came to eye contact with a huge dragon coiled around the pine tree. On one of its lower branches was a golden cloth. A fleece.

Percy could still feel the power that thing oozed.

"Hey Peleus" the demigod said petting the large dragon" You've grown bigger since the last time I saw you."

The dragon let out a content growl when Percy scratched underneath his chin. That spot had been killing him!

Percy  gave one more pat to the ever growing dragon before he moved past him and stood on top of a hill. Right down there was a valley that stretched, covered by a thick forest.

Right before that forest was what seemed to be a camp.

The demigod was cut off his observations when a sharp whizzing sound came from behind him. Percy calmly watched as a long bronze spear passed through his vibrating chest and struck the tree in front of him while still partially buried inside him.

"Well that's new" he said as he slowly turned around" didn't know you could teleport,Thals."

He turned fully to face a tall, dark haired girl. Her electric blue eyes were filled with barely constrained rage as she eyed him.

"What are you doing here you murderer?" She growled at him.
