Morana. That's me. The daughter of Miranda and Matthew Drax. Younger sister of Melissa Drax. Older sister of Michael Drax. Born February 14, 1980. Pureblood witch sorted into Slytherin House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I'm only in my third year.

I made few friends. Pansy Parkinson. Millicent Bultsrode (sort of; we're at least on good terms). Daphne Greengrass. And Tracey Davis.

I made enemies, too. Uh, kinda. Aura "Disgraceful Malfoy" Malfoy. Tess "Insightful One" Booker. Xenia "Mudblood" Fairchild.

And I'm Morana "Death Eater" Drax.

I fell in love. I fell in love with Draco Malfoy, a wizard also sorted into Slytherin at Hogwarts. I don't understand why. Why he...why he chose Pansy over me. At Diagon Alley weeks before he asked if I'd like to "do this again sometime". I said yes. I expected to go on another date. What I got was seeing Draco and Pansy snuggling with each other, and then Draco kissed Pansy on the cheek.

Why doesn't he like me?! I'm pretty...ish. Pretty enough. I don't think I'm pretty. Am I pretty? No, of course not. Then Draco wouldn't be dating Pansy.

I'm smart. Why isn't he smart enough to truly see...?

I'm nice. The Slytherin definition of nice, that is. I'm caring to my friends and family. I am compassionate when it comes to those closest to me. I would be a perfect girlfriend on Slytherin standards.

I guess not if the best guy in Slytherin isn't dating me...

I almost felt like giving up. Like ending it. But I decided that I didn't want to kill myself or die because the guy I like likes someone else. I can survive. I'll get over him. I'll move on, marry someone else, have pureblood kids with someone else... Grow old with someone else.... Someone that would be pureblood, but would love me even if I wasn't... I expected it to be Draco. Now Pansy can have her dream come true.

But one day I decided enough was enough. I was gonna try to stop moping around as much. I was gonna try to make myself better.

But that's not entirely what happened.

Now, I must talk about what happened after the Fat Lady's run.

Professor Dumbledore came and got the Slytherins, Hufflepuffs, and Ravenclaws, and we met the Gryffindors in the Great Hall ten minutes after it happened. We didn't know about the Fat Lady, but later Aura told us.

Proffesor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick were closing the doors as Dumbledore spoke, "The teachers and I need to conduct a thorough search of the castle. I'm afraid that, for your own safety, you will have to spend the night here." My eyes widened as he said it. Great. I had to be in the same room with Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, and Mudbloods for a long time. Just like when we have a grand feast. Yay.

"I want the prefects to stand guard over the entrances to the hall and I am leaving the Head Boy and Girl in charge," Dumbledore continued. "Any disturbance should be reported to me immediately." He looked at Percy Weasley. "Send word with one of the ghosts." Dumbledore paused, looking like he was about to leave. "Oh, yes, you'll be needing..." He waved his hand and the table flew up against the walls. He waved again and hundreds of purple sleeping bags appeared. "Sleep well." Dumbledore closed the door after he left.

Aura pushed through the crowd, and found Xenia and Tess. They walked over to me. I wasn't talking to anybody, and I still had this shocked look on my face. Aura told the three of us exactly what happened to the Fat Lady. I wasn't paying enough attention. I looked over at Draco and Pansy. Draco had his arm around Pansy, and they were laughing at what a Slytherin prefect was telling them. The prefect walked away, and Pansy and Draco...well, they were kissing each other. Aura seemed to notice what I was looking at, and she pushed me away from Draco and Pansy.

"Everyone into their sleeping bags!" Percy Weasley shouted. "Come on, now, no more talking! Lights out in ten minutes!"

I got a sleeping bag and slumped to a corner. I noticed that Harry, Ron, and Hermione were in the completely opposite corner.

All around me I could hear people ask, "How did he get in?"

"I don't care," I said, Aura, Xenia, and Tess setting up their sleeping bags near me. "Just leave me alone to drown in my ocean of tears." I went inside the sleeping bag, and covered my head. I could hear the girls talking, probably to me, but I couldn't tell. I was already falling asleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~THE DEPRESSION OF ME (AND MORE!)
Next! I should probably tell you about that one Quidditch game.You see, Gryffindor was supposed to play against Slytherin, but "Draco's arm hurt from Buckbeak still". I'm kinda surprised he told me about that. Although, we did go out on a date together. Yet he didn't tell his girlfriend...
Anyway, for that match it was raining. Badly. I almost felt bad for Tess.
Oh, yeah. No one told you. She's on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. She plays Chaser. She started playing last year.
I was with Pansy. It was before the match began. She kept telling me about Draco. What he did for her. Their first date. The gift he got her a few days ago. Pretty much everything that happened since they became boyfriend and girlfriend. Which honestly wasn't what I expected Draco to be like as a boyfriend. He mostly just showered her with gifts and not so much with the affection.
I wanted to cry, but I didn't want to show Pansy. I wanted to yell at her, but I didn't. I excused myself, and left Pansy. I walked down to the Quidditch fields, where some students were. There I saw Aura and Xenia.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey," Aura looked serious as she looked at me. "Is Pansy...?"
"Yeah." I started to cry. I don't like crying. It's a symbol of defeat. But the problem is...I am defeated. I'm shattered from the inside out.
"It's okay." Aura touched my shoulder. I couldn't help myself. I cried into her shoulder. She said 'shh', as she was patting me on the back. I didn't like to feel this way. And why did I go to Aura and not Melissa?
Oh, right, yeah. Melissa got this new boyfriend, Ian, from Slytherin. I didn't want to see her be happy with her boyfriend...because I wasn't happy. That makes sense, right?
On one side of the field Tess was coming out onto the field in a yellow outfit with her team. I stopped crying, and I was watching the teams. My head was still on Aura's shoulder, but she didn't seem to care.
Cedric Diggory, captain for the Hufflepuffs, and Oliver Wood shook hands. Diggory was smiling, but Wood wasn't. Tess was staring at Cedric in her own lovestruck way. I guess she hadn't experienced heartbreak yet.
God, why am I torturing myself?
Madam Hooch must have told them to mount their brooms, because that's what both teams did. Madam Hooch blew her whistle. That I could hear. It was pretty loud. They were off. The game started. I couldn't really see what was going on. The rain was too much. The wind was too loud to hear who was winning. I got off of Aura. I could see Tess. Her pink hair was hard to miss.
I couldn't tell how long it had been. Harry Potter almost bumped into Tess. Harry was about to bump into another person when I heard someone on my left.
"Hello, Morana," the voice said. I tensed up, still looking up. I didn't want to move. It was Draco that spoke. Aura looked around me, and saw Draco. She walked to him, pushing me to were she was standing.
"Morana doesn't want to talk to you," Aura said sternly.
I might have been looking at the Quidditch game, but I couldn't see anything because of the rain. It also didn't help that I was crying again.
"Why not?" Draco asked.
"Well..." Aura said. "I don't know if she wants you to know."
I could see Draco out of the corner of my eye. "Fine!" he said angrily to me. "Don't talk to me! It's not like we were friends this year anyway!" I looked down at the ground, still crying. I saw Draco look at me. He looked sorry for what he said, but Aura wouldn't let him say anything else. He walked away.
I looked up and saw a flash of lightning. I then heard Madam Hooch's whistle. The teams dropped down. Someone must've called a time-out. I saw Tess go under one of the umbrellas. Tess walked over to us. She was soaking wet.
"We're fifty points under," Tess told us. "You guys are lucky. You don't get to do Quidditch in the rain."
"We chose not to play Quidditch," Aura said, pointing to me and her.
"I'm so sorry," Xenia said. She's on the Ravenclaw team, by the way. As a Chaser. She also started last year. "I don't know what it's like to play in this weather, but it must be pretty bad."
"It is," Tess nodded. "Well, I should go back."
I saw the teams go back up a few seconds later. I wasn't watching Tess. I was watching Harry. I noticed that eventually Harry and Cedric were getting the Snitch. But I couldn't tell how long it had been.
Suddenly, I still wasn't sure how long it had been, I saw a hundred dementors standing right under Harry. I saw Tess clutch at her head. I gasped, and Aura and Xenia seemed like they heard what I was hearing.
A woman screamed. I clutched at my head, too."Not Harry," the woman spoke in my mind, "not Harry, please not Harry!"
Tess must have been having a vision. But how could she show us?
"Stand aside, you silly girl..." a man's voice said, "stand aside, now..."
"Not Harry!" the woman said again. "Please...have mercy...have mercy..."
The man was laughing. The woman screamed. And I watched Harry Potter fall out of the sky.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~THE DEPRESSION OF ME (AND MORE!)

Tess met with us (Aura, Xenia, and me) in the girls' bathroom after Tess won the match, and changed out of her clothes.

"What the hell was that?!" I asked Tess.

"A vision," Tess answered.

"Okay," Xenia nodded. "But how did you show us?"

"No idea." Tess shook her head.

"Does anybody actually know?" Aura asked.

We were all silent. We couldn't figure out what it was. I didn't know if we ever would.
