TW suicide, pills, overdose, self harm
Karl sat down as he scrolled through a multitude of hate comments, it grew by the second. He threw his phone down and curled up on his bed "WHY!" He started crying. Sapnap, his boyfriend, heard him crying. He knocked on the door "Karl? Baby are you ok?" Karl very quickly wiped away his tears "O-oh! Yeah I'm ok sap!" He cleaned himself up and opened the door. "See I'm ok!" Sap frowned softly "Baby don't lie, it's ok if you're not ok" Karl sniffles "S-sap I-I..." Sapnap pulled him close "Let it out baby" Karl burst into tears "S-sap I don't g-get it! Why d-do people ha-hate me?!" "I don't know sweetheart, but I do know that you don't deserve the hate" Sapnap just held his boyfriend close to his chest. After a while Karl had luckily calmed down " 'm sorry Sap...." "Hey, no, don't be sorry you've done nothing wrong ok?" Sap kisses his forehead. Karl just held onto Sapnap, yawning softly. "Ok baby, it's time to go to sleep ok?" Karl nods "Cuddle?" "Of course love" he carried Karl to the bed and laid down with him. Karl holds onto him as he starts to fall asleep.
A few months had passed after Karl had his breakdown and when Sapnap had told him that things would be ok, well, things weren't ok, they had gotten worse. Karl had resorted to cutting his wrists. Every time he saw a hate comment he made a mental note to add a cut to his wrists or his thighs. He thought the pain felt nice and he always added. He hid his wrists and legs from Sapnap by wearing jeans or sweatpants or hoodies or long sleeve shirts. He was worried Sapnap would yell at him or leave him. He spent most of his days cooped up in his room, reading hate comments or trying to make himself feel better. One day he had gotten a specific hate comment that read 'Wow, look at the gay emo boy painting his nails, I bet he cuts himself! Hey Carl give us a wrist reveal! Or even better! Go kill yourself!' That's all it took. Karl stood up and grabbed a piece of paper, he simply wrote: Dear Sapnap, I know how hard you've been trying to keep me alive and happy. Please know that it's not your fault, you tried so hard and I love and thank you for that but the hate is getting to me and the scars keep growing. I love you so so much Sapnap, you're the best boyfriend ever. Please don't spend the rest of your life grieving me. I want you to move on and live your life. Now obviously don't forget me but don't grieve me the rest of your life either. I love you Sapnap.
-Karl Jacobs. He put the note down and grabbed a bottle of pills and a water bottle. Sapnap was streaming so this was the best time to do it. Karl popped the bottle of pills open and took them in groups of 7 with the water until the bottle was empty. He suddenly felt dizzy and sleepy. Soon after, he collapsed on the ground and he drifted off into a painless sleep. After a bit he stopped breathing. While Sapnap was streaming, he sighed softly. "Chat I'm gonna go get Karl ok?" He got up, not muting his mic and went to Karl's room. When he saw his boyfriend, not breathing on the floor, an empty bottle of pills and note next to him, he screamed "KARL BABY NO!" He held his lifeless body to his chest and cried, his stream long forgotten.
