CW: homophobia... this is going to make a bunch of people mad, including myself who threw a pillow across the room while writing this chapter :)

"We told you not to tell her!" Nick's mom was saying over the phone.

"I didn't even tell her, mom! She just asked if I was, and I quote, one of 'them' and I just asked why that would be bad," Sapnap responded. "I don't see the big deal."

"The big deal is that she's threatening to take everyone back home," Aubrey sighed. "She thinks your going to encourage Natalia."

"I have and I'm going to keep doing so. There's nothing wrong with it, mom," Sapnap responded.

"I know that, honey. But your aunt doesn't see it like that," she continued. "Just, try not to bring it up and don't talk to her too much at dinner tonight, ok?"

"Well, that's going to be a bit hard," Sapnap chuckled.

"Why? What happened?" she asked, confused on what he was getting at.

"You uh, remember Clay? The blonde one who was here when you came by a few months ago," Sapnap let the sentence draw out.

"Yes, now what does he have to do with this?"

"Well, he's kinda my boyfriend and kinda back in Texas like right now," Sapnap closed in on himself, hoping his mom won't be upset with him.

"Ok, that's fine congrats, but can't you just say he's s friend or something?" she asked, not wanting Judy to blow up anymore than she has.

"That may be a little hard," Sapnap laughed this time, remembering what his neck looked like when he went to the bathroom this morning.

"Nick," she sighed. "Can you hide them? Wear a big hoodie or something?"

"I can try, but she'll know right away. I'm sorry," he felt bad. Aubrey had always had a hard time with Judy, and this is just going to add to the ongoing debate they always had.

"No it's ok. Can I talk to Clay for a minute? If that's ok," she asked.

"Yeah, one second," Sapnap walked into the living room where Dream was on the couch, flipping through TV channels trying to find something to settle on. He held the phone out to the blonde, "it's for you, my mom."

"Hello?" Dream asked, putting the phone to his ear.

"Hi there, Clay right?" she asked.

"Yes ma'am," Dream responded. "How are you today?"

"It's going to be a long day, I can already tell," she tied to hide her mood with a laugh. "I just wanted to talk to you for a minute, I can tell Nick has already talked to you about the situation and I want to make sure you're ok with it as well."

"I mean, it won't be the first time I've encountered someone who is like this. I know how to deal with it and I can help Nick as well, I just don't want to overstep," Dream explained.

"Oh no, you're welcome over no matter what. I know we got off on the wrong foot last time and I want to make it up to you. PLease come to dinner, I know Natalia would appreciate it and Judy and Henry can suck it up," Aubrey explained.

"It's ok Mrs. Armstrong, really. I know my mom would be upset if I haven't visited in a while and didn't tell her I had company," Dream looked over at Sapnap and laughed a little.

"Call me Aubrey, please," she told him. "What would you like for dinner? I'm planning on leaving work early today so I can make whatever you'd like."

"Oh no that's ok. I'm good with whatever you were planning on making," Dream assured. "Nick always brags about your cooking so I know I'll like it."

"Of course he does," she giggled. "Well, I bet my boss will be upset with me for being on the phone for so long. I'll see you tonight."

"Alright, bye Aubrey," Dream said.

"Buh bye, Clay," she hung up the phone, and Dream handed it back to Sapnap, who had been sitting on the other side of the couch.

"Everything ok?" Sapnap asked as he scooted over and laid his head into Dream's lap.

"Yeah, she just wanted to make sure I was ok with being around your aunt and uncle. She said she wants to meet me and apologize for last time," they both giggled at what happened last time.

"We just don't have good luck with our moms, do we?" Sapnap asked, and they laughed again.

"As long as she doesn't hear us fuck, it won't be as bad."

"No, she thinks we fucked George, it's so much worse," that was the last straw. They both were laughing so hard that Sapnap ended up rolling off the couch and ended up on the floor. After a few moments, they were able to collect themselves, and Sapnap was back on the couch, cuddling into his boyfriend's lap.

"What do you say, we call George, yeah? We're together again and this could be a good time," Sapnap said. It's no secret that Sapnap wanted to be able to tell someone other than his family, and Dream was happy that he was that excited.

"Yeah, I bet he already thinks we are so why not," Dream laughed. "You call him, my phones in the bedroom still."

Sapnap hummed, and grabbed his phone out of his pocket, opening the facetime app and scrolling down to find George's contact, and clicking on it. It rung for a few moments, and eventually, he didn't pick up.

"What the fuck?" Sapnap was shocked. "There's no way he's sleeping. It's 5pm for him, isn't it?"

"Yeah, let me go grab my phone, if he's streaming he has it on do not disturb and my contact goes through," Dream patted Sapnap's head, and he got up, grabbed his phone, and came back to the living room, letting Sapnap take his spot on his lap again.

Just as they thought, when Dream called, he picked up.

"Hey, what's up?" George asked, his headset was on and it was obvious he was streaming.

"You're streaming, aren't you?" Dream asked, feeling bad for ruining it.

"Yeah, but I turned my cam and mic off because you'd usually call me on Discord. What's going on?" George asked, kinda worried.

"Hi Georgie," Sapnap chimed in.

"You guys are back together? Sense when and why wasn't I invited?" George asked, somewhat sad he didn't get sent an invitation.

"Well, I'm only here because his aunt said some shit and I'm here to piss her off more. I'm going home in a week so it's nothing too big," Dream reassured, and George relaxed. "Well, we called you to tell you something."

"Are you dating yet?" George asked.

"Yeah..." Sapnap was the one who responded, and George's jaw dropped.

"Wait are you serious? How long? Why wasn't I told sooner?" George was shocked, but happy for his friends.

"Like, a month in a few days, right?" Dream asked, and Sapnap nodded. "Yeah almost a month."

"Awe, I'm happy for you guys. I mean, I told you so, both of you, but you were both too blind to see I was right," George smirked.

"Oh fuck off," Dream rolled his eyes. "Well, that's all. Go back to streaming, Gogy."

"Whatever, bye guys," George responded.

"Bye!" Sapnap added, and the phone hung up. "Went better than I expected."

"Yeah, but he already knew. 'It's about time' my ass, George," Dream rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah," Sap grabbed a blanket that was thrown on the back of the couch and covered himself with it.

"Are you going to nap?" Dream asked, hands carding through the brow mess on his lap.

"Yes," Sapnap giggled. Dream lifted his head off his lap, and crawled to the end of the couch, his back against the arm rest and legs spread for Sap to cuddle into.

"More comfy?" Dream asked, pulling up the blanket.

"Mhm."

"Just know how sorry I am in advance," Sapnap kept apologizing for the shit show that he calls his childhood home the entire way home. "Judy is just going to shit on us the entire time and Henry, god I don't even want to begin to imagine how-"

"Shut up, ok? It'll be ok. I'll still be your boyfriend after, I'll still love you after. Hell, if you want I'll fuck you in front of them," Dream winked at the last part.

"I think I'd be disowned if we did that," Sapnap giggled, pulling onto the side of the road and parking in front of a townhome.

"We're here?" Dream asked, glancing at the baby blue house on his right.

"Yeah, again I'm really sorry-" Sapnap began babbling, but Dream kissed him, making him be quiet for one moment.

"Stop apologizing, ok? It'll be ok," Dream reassured.

"Ok, ok," Sapnap took a deep breath, and opened his door, getting out and going to the passenger side, meeting Dream, and the two walked up to the house, hand in hand. Sapnap knocked on the door, then opened it. His mom was walking to the door when she knocked, and smiled when the two walked in.

"Hello! Good to see you again, Clay. Thank you both for coming, Natalia really needs it," Aubrey explained, giving both of them a hug, and lead them to the living room where Max, Henry, Judy, Natalia, Oscar, and Jilly were sitting on the couched and the floor. Sapnap's dad, Dylan, was still at work, and would be there soon.

"Clay?" Jillian asked when she saw the two of them walk into the open space. "What the hell? How long have you been here?"

"Just got in last night," he smiled at the girl and hugged her.

"Yeah, I can tell," she laughed, looking at her brother who just shoved her away.

"Who's this, Nicholas?" Henry asked, taking note to the bruises on his neck and how close the two were standing.

"Uncle Henry, Aunt Judy, this is Clay. He's my boyfriend," Sapnap smirked. The adult's faces dropped, like they had just seen a puppy die.

"Are you kidding me? First you tell Natalia it's ok for her to be kissing girls, and now you show up to your mother's house with some man you call your lover? And what is on your neck, huh? Did you guys have sex or something?" Judy started scolding them.

"I don't think you want us to answer that," Dream answered, making Sapnap go red.

"This is ridiculous! Aubrey, how do you allow this? What would Dylan think?" Henry asked, raising his voice so Aubrey would hear him.

"I think Clay is a lovely person. Him and Jillian get along very well, and I doubt Dylan would care. He says as long as the kids are happy, he's happy," Aubrey answered, making the other two adults get more angry.

"I can't believe this! You three were all raised better than this, I know it!" Judy screamed.

"Ma'am you don't know me. I was raised being told that it was perfectly fine to be gay. I don't appreciate you acting like you know me when you don't," Dream snapped at the woman. All the assumptions he had made about her weren't even close to who she really was.

"Do not talk to my wife like that, you hear me?" Henry stood up, walking toward the couple and putting his finger in the blonde's face.

"You get away from him," Sapnap stepped between the two, making his uncle laugh.

"What are you going to do about it, boy? You're nothing but a disgrace to this world. Why should I care about your little boyfriend or whatever you wanna call him?" Henry was now closer than ever. Dream's arms were around Sapnap's waist, trying to pull him away.

"This is enough. Papa get away from them. I can live with you hating me for the rest of my life, but I will not let you make Nick feel bad about himself. You see what you did to him? He's crying. Not once in my life have I ever seen him cry," Natalia started yelling at her father.

"You don't use that tone with me, little lady. I own you. If you want to leave the house the second we get back home, be my guest. We won't miss you any," he snickered.

"Henry! Get out of my house, now!" Aubrey yelled. "I will not tolerate this bullshit you give my children or even your own. You may think you have this perfect world planned out in your head, but that is far from the real perfect. You and your wife leave now, take Oscar, but you're leaving Natalia here. She isn't going anywhere with the two of you."

"Like hell Dylan is going to let you do that," Judy rolled her eyes at the woman.

"Oh, you think so? I was just on the phone with him, he's on his way home and said if you're not gone by the time he gets back, we're calling the police. Pack your shit and leave," Aubrey yelled.
